Jim Harbaugh On Preparation For Cowboys | LA Chargers

Jim so we uh saw Joey out there at at practice do you have any update on him yeah working through something coming along good do you anticipate him him being okay to play week one uh that's that's what I've been told Derwin is there any new be able see him in a while you to check it if there was any we're going through something progressing good no no uh worry with him with playing week one uh that's what I've been told hoping to see in this final uh preseason game oh um well just really good execution what have been seeing all week I mean it's uh it's been four straight practices as my old Pop Warner T coach Tom menik would say that was a Chris practice and uh really sums up sums up uh as well as you can sum it up it's been it's been Chris four in a row that's uh it's been uh fantastic I me feeling so good I'm uh taking Mrs harball out on a date night tonight where you going I haven't decid we haven't haven't decided yet but uh yeah that's just guys I mean getting better every day um and dare I say having fun playing football the uh some of the throws well you saw I mean spectacular incredible uh running running out of adjectives to uh describe uh some of the throws Justin Herbert's made all week and uh excited for Easton stick too he's uh he's really he's had another great week of practice this week and uh you know excited for for this game for him you know plan is uh he'll be the starting quarterback and we'll let him play and and uh Lis will be the backup in case e breaks a chin strap uh but it's uh it's been good I mean I I saw a dive play today uh and I was really focused on that third and one seeing how the the line's coming off the ball and out of the corner of my eye I see uh Jaylen Johnson number number 39 run a run a double move that took his his man and and uh and a safety had to had to go over the top it was a it was a tremendous route but um third and one play up the middle a lot of times the receivers will you know take that play off not JJ it was uh it was really cool I mean everybody getting into the uh getting into the ACT getting the rep I mean Brandon makes a terrific catch on a post route and Josh Palmer uh uh Q had about four or five in a row uh tight ends were really catching the ball the DBS were catching the ball um you know in the in the carded periods uh uh the way they were practically running the routes for uh the receiver at times off of those carded plays uh son had a big day um Christian fton again had another great day as he did yesterday um just some some uh you know just some really simi simi and another another couple great uh great catches from from spectacular throws um yeah looking forward to my date night tonight it's going to feeling good feeling good about the feeling good about the guys coach just they look like they're having fun it's getting infectious you know uh Denzel Perryman the way he's uh the way he comes out there every day and it's just it's it's just rubbing off on people JK Dobbins uh the way he attacks it every day I mean it's fun I'm having fun you know I mean I I and I think the um you know one of the great virtues on our team is Cameron Dicker I mean uh just uh the way he he goes about his business it's uh I mean epitomizes uh you know uh confidence uh you know really true confidence and and uh really great at what he does I that's starting to rub off on me you know I'm trying to trying to live my my life more confidently uh because of the example that he sets uh these just great virtues uh you know just I guess the word would be adopt trying to trying to adopt them but if I could live my life the way Cameron Dicker goes about his I mean what a what a fun enjoyable life that would be so trying to adopt some of those uh just uh it was a great day of football hope uh you know I had fun I had fun today coach after the first uh day of training camp you mentioned expecting big things from q and he's had great week in practice what have you seen as far as his development throughout this training camp and you know going forward now going into season yeah um that uh him I he may be you know uh you know one of the one of the one of the great examples um you know I see players that are you know really they're being coached really well uh our guys are uh our coaches are doing a f phenomenal job and I see the players you know absorbing that um and then putting it into practice that's that's how you know that some some really good coaching going on sanj's doing a doing a tremendous job but um yeah I mean q has been been just steadily climbing uh going in a great great Direction and um I think you know them getting getting the offense down more you know uh that can be uh they know it better than they did six months ago you know four months ago and they'll know it better six months from now um you I see that a lot of things being the piece of the puzzle there but uh you know most of all it's him it's him attacking it him uh him him being uh you know really really mentally strong you know staying staying steady attacking the the meetings the the training and and the practices and that's uh great discipline that he's you know really football discipline which is to me can you repeatedly do what you're capable of doing and uh you I definitely see Quinton on that uh on that track going back to Justin for a minute um I know you said you're running out of adjective but yeah can can you describe like the week he had it seems like he was on a like a heater like every day he that's a good one I mean I want to leave that to you guys to come up with the with the right adjective I mean everyone I kind of come up in my head it's just uh um doesn't do it justice you know so I mean you were you were watching it I mean it's um it's been great it's been infectious for the whole team too I mean um I don't know try to give you like hooers the movie hooers when Jimmy chipwood comes back and uh you know that the team just takes off maybe that's that comes to mind can we do the thing where you tell us who's going to play this weekend and who's sure yeah sure um there' be about 15 starters on offense and 15 on defense that don't play in the game and um and I and I and I described uh you know Easton being the the starting quarterback back and yeah guys just I mean go have at it I mean they're such I feel like they're in a great place and you know feel like we got guys that uh we can count on and um you know that's that leaves about 20 spots open for guys to 10 on offense 10 on defense to you know really really show that um you know that they're they're the they're the best they're the best players you know give them that give that opportunity that's I'm excited about that looking forward to it my bad will will those Starters play the duration or the ones that will play that you said will play will they like Easton will he play the duration of the yeah yeah yeah East be the starting quarterback playing on him playing the duration of the ball game like a like a like a like a starting quarterback in a in a regular season game you know that's that's the approach uh yeah that's that's the plan my bad if if you were saying this but are there any other St that you anticipate will play the the whole game that you willing to share well there's 15 on offense and 15 on defense that won't yeah and those are all all guys that uh we feel like feel great about and feel like we can count on and now we're we're looking for that for that next wave to you know be able to tell who the who the best players are
