what you through that fumble recovery play he had oh yeah uh that was that was different I I was expecting K2 to pick that up man um that was a long way to go but uh yeah I picked it up I I see he didn't pick it up and so uh yeah I tried to get I tried to tried to take off with it but I didn't know there was two people that close to me but um yeah I'm mad I wasn't able to get in the end zone yeah but um getting 1.5 sacks against um the Raiders like how are you guys able and then just the team in general for like how are you guys able to get the get to the quarterback oh man um the coverage on the back end man those guys did a good job man um just understanding who they have a receiver um with Devonte Adams and 16 and 11 um being a deep threat um we wanted to make sure Russian covers was working together and uh we were able to have a solid performance can you talk about like dobins just um and his big plays JK man we we've been waiting to see JK all season and so him to come out and explode uh explode on the field like he did even though he slowed down a couple times um it is it's definitely I'm I'm excited for him and I'm excited for the offensive line as well starting off the season with the win how important is that how can you carry that done I mean it's just this is a a moment a momentum build to um you rather win learn from wins instead of losses and so uh to get a win the first try and um being able to stack the days and and go and try to get another win um it's all it's all that you need to to kind of keep momentum can you remember a time where the run defense has looked this good oh man um year nine this they all start running together a little bit but uh you know I'm just we'll watch the film I'm just happy we we did a really good job and um again it's only one week we'll see if we could keep it going does this establish an identity though I mean it is you're right it's one week but it is the first game everyone looks at the first game does this establish an identity yeah I think so I think um first game it's kind of the only film anybody has of us this year new coach new staff all all these things um we wanted to come out and you know make a statement but I know I've won plenty of first games and the season still hasn't uh turned out the way you hoped so I think um 2-0 is a lot sweeter than 1 and0 Joey today was the first time that you bud Tuli and K were on the field and you guys even were at times off for you guys on the field what did that pass rush look like for you and how effective do you guys feel like you were it was good uh I mean menu did a really good job of getting rid of the ball um he's elusive in the pocket um I wish I would have got home a couple more times wish I had a few rushes back but um I think for week one it's a really good starting point and we have a lot to learn from and and uh you know practice this week physic physically how did you feel uh in that game I felt really good back got a little tight at at the end it was a lot of plays a lot of a lot of running um as the season goes I'm sure I'll I'll get conditioned better and better but overall hand felt great everything that I've been working working on felt really good so I was very happy just very hot hot in there yeah you you talked to you said that you had talked to Jesse on the sideline and suggested some plays and that's one of the ones you got a sack on what has that relationship just just in one week felt like on the sideline with you yeah uh it's great and um I'm uh looking forward to it getting stronger and and to keep uh growing together as a team and a defense but yeah just to have somebody that don't need something you trust and you you give a suggestion he goes hey no not right now we need to run this or whatever it's it's a two-way street and um I feel like we're building that were you surprised at all when they punt in the fourth quarter oh I I was shocked after the fact I my helmet came undone so I was scrambling on the sideline to get my my helmet buckled up and I just knew that they were going to go for it on fourth down so I was I was hustling trying to get back out there and at least kick the field goal I don't remember what uh yard line they were on so I was happy I was happy that they punted um you know I we we had a great fourth down stop earlier in the game so we still had a great chance there but um was definitely a little surprised after I was done scrambling at that point you think okay Justin's got the ball we're going to put this game away right now yeah I think uh it was a big statement for the offense you know we've had a lot of games that are close at the end we have the lead and we just don't quite get there um it's only one week like I said but uh just to you know show that we we we can do that and Coach coach's little phrase the worm has turned turn the worm uh we're the lucky ones we're uh funny little he has a million funny little little phrases but but um yeah we're trying to turn the worm over here and uh you know bring luck to our side and you know I think Justin really got into a rhythm at the end lad made an incredible play which is great to see um that was freaking awesome so yeah really happy with everybody this is just one game you've been so a part of so many games that don't go your way and the worm doesn't turn can can you feel like this one of those like maybe this might be different this time yeah yeah again I just really don't want to think like that I just want to take it one week at a time and that's how you win games it isn't some magic it isn't some luck it is it's preparation and hard work um and I think we have the right pieces and the right coaches and and all these things so I think taking it one week at a time and I mean it's huge uh winning every win is a huge huge uh huge deal cuz every game matters and losing sucks a lot but uh uh we just got to to keep working just got to keep working coach harot has so many you know kind of eccentric Expressions that you were just mentioning like when he said the warmest hurt like do you chuckle a little bit do you also kind of take it seriously no I I take it all seriously but I laugh at the same time you know that's that's the best uh combination of things where he's entertaining and funny but at the same time there's a lot of uh relevance to the things that he's saying so it's not just funny to be funny um but yeah I feel really engaged in his meetings uh M he's waiting to see what the hell he's going to say next um but yeah I just felt ready to go he talked to us last night and it just feels like uh you know he's a coach he's he's truly a head coach that has a vision has done it before and um you could feel confident playing for him what was his message last night when he met with you guys oh well the worm it's turn the worm was was one of them but it's just uh Play Hard Play Hard um there there were a few of them I can't really think of all of them right now but it it was just a good message uh nice short and sweet uh the worm turning the worm is my new favorite s so um yeah I I can't I can't think exactly what he was what he mentioned last night but um every time he's talking to us you know there's going to be some sort of nugget last thing like uh I know words don't want football games obviously but you know like the way that he's in the wait room with you guys the messages that he has for you guys when he's out on the field with you like does that help and does that it's still in a different culture yeah I think if it was a a feeling of he's just doing it to uh like if it doesn't feel genuine then it wouldn't help but you you could sense from him that he that's what he loves the most is being around us being around the guys being part of the group and uh you know it's really genuine feeling coming from him and uh like I said I'm just happy to be playing for him
