Syracuse Football 2024 Schedule Preview & Prediction

what is going on everybody today I'll be previewing the 2024 college football schedule for Syracuse I will go through every game on their schedule and I will predict which games on the schedule I think they will win and I will also predict which games on the schedule I think they will lose but as always before we preview their schedule let me remind you guys to like the video and also the video last season Syracuse finished with a 6- s record they ultimately finished the season losing to South Florida in their bowl game 45 to nothing so that is not how they wanted to finish their season and it is going to be hard to come back from that but they do have a new head coach going forward with Fran Brown he was the defensive backs coach for the Georgia Bulldogs the past two seasons including 2022 when Georgia won a national championship so you'd have to believe Fran Brown was a pretty big hire for the Syracuse team next season Syracuse returns 74% of production which is top 10 in the country Fran Brown is already putting in work to improve this team with adding third team Big 10 quarterback KY McCord he also brought in some players from Georgia receivers Jackson Meeks and Zed Haynes could help improve the offense on the defensive side they also bring in fourstar Edge rusher fidil Diggs from Texas A&M who should be a big impact player right away for their Syracuse team this team really wasn't that great last season but I think they have a lot of positives heading into next season and they returned 1,000 yard rusher L Quin Allen this Syracuse team can be a big sleeper team if they put it all together but anyways let's get into predicting their schedule and they open the season playing at home against Ohio Ohio was a pretty solid team last season they won double digit games including a win over Iowa State but Ohio actually ranks 133rd in the country for returning production there are only 134 teams at the FBS level so Ohio really doesn't return a lot of talent they only return 27% of production so they might take a step down Syracuse should win this game Ohio could give Syracuse a tough game Ohio has had back-to-back double digit win Seasons with Tim Alan so this could be a sneaky game to open this season for Syracuse and Syracuse shouldn't take this Ohio team lightly but I do have Syracuse winning their home opener and I have Syracuse Moving to 1 and0 on the season the next game for Syracuse will be at home against Georgia Tech I expect Georgia Tech to be a team they return a lot of offensive production from last season including one of the top ACC quarterbacks Haynes King I think Brent key has this team heading in the right direction even with the gauntlet of a schedule in 2024 the defense has some work to do but they hired former Duke coordinator Tyler santui I could see this game going either way but I think Georgia Tech is going to be a pretty competitive team next season and I think that Georgia Tech will be better next season even if the record does not show it because they do have a brutal schedule but I do think Syracuse will lose a close game to Georgia Tech so I have Syracuse mooving to oneone on the season following their game against Georgia Tech Syracuse will have a bye and then they play at home against Stanford I expect Stanford to be one of the worst teams in the ACC they went three to9 last season and they just don't have a lot of positives heading forward they only picked up two players out of the transfer portal and I don't expect Stanford to be that good next season luckily they returned Ashton Daniels in a leak ID Manor on the offensive side but the defense gave up nearly 38 points a game last season and the defense needs a lot of help Syracuse should definitely win this game at home coming off their bye so I do have Syracuse winning this game and move it to two- one on the season the next game for Syracuse will be at home against holy cross holy cross is an FCS school and this should be the cupcake game on the schedule for Syracuse the last time Syracuse played in FCS school they actually won 65 to nothing Syracuse should win this game easily and I definitely have Syracuse winning this game and move it to 3 And1 on the season the next game for Syracuse is on the road against UNLV this will be the big test on the non-conference schedule for Syracuse UNLV is one of the best group of five schools and I think UNLV is still going to be really good despite losing their Star Quarterback jayen mava head coach Barry odm is doing great work at unov they have the number one transfer portal class and they should definitely be good again they also returned one of the most underrated receivers in the whole country Ricky White this is the big test for Syracuse it is really the only tough game on the non-conference schedule for Syracuse but I think Syracuse will win this game they lost a tough game to Georgia Tech but this is a must-win game to keep Syracuse on the right track so I do have Syracuse beating UNLV and move it to 4-1 on the season the next game for Syracuse is on the road against NC State I expect NC State to be pretty good next season they have continued to be a very consisted team and win eight or nine games every season with Dave Doran but they have only actually won double digit games once in school history which was in 2002 I wouldn't be surprised if NC State finally had a double digit win season with Dave Doran a head coach in 201 24 they have done a very good job in the transfer portal and I actually think the offense is very underrated heading into next season Grayson Mcall should be a great addition at quarterback they brought in Wesley Grimes and Noah Rogers out of the transfer portal and they returned Kevin concepion who is going to wreck havoc in the AC this offense has the pieces necessary to compete near the top of the ACC and I think the defense should be solid again despite losing Payton Wilson I think Syracuse will lose this game to NY State so I have Syracuse mve it to 4-2 on the season following their game against NC State Syracuse will have a byee and then they go on the road to play pit pit has potential to be better the defense was actually solid last season the offense does need a lot of help though but they will have a new offensive coordinator and they did bring in some pieces out of the transfer portal Eli Holston could shake up the quarterback room a little bit but I still have my concerns with the offense but playing on the road against pit could be a difficult game for Syracuse but I do think Syracuse will win a difficult game on the road coming off their bye so I have Syracuse Moving to 5-2 on the season the next game for Syracuse will be at home against Virginia Tech I pretty high in Virginia Tech heading into next season they are actually first in the country for rning production and they ended last season in pretty dominant fashion beating to Lane by 21 points in their bowl game Virginia Tech is only going to get better next season with all the talent returning and I think Virginia Tech is honestly a big sleeper team to win the ACC the offense has a lot of stars and the defense should be solid but I actually like Syracuse to pull off the upset at home in this game and I think Syracuse comes out to play in this game so I have Syracuse beating Virginia Tech and move it to six and2 on the season the next game for Syracuse is on the road against Boston College look I am not high in Boston College at all and I actually had Boston College really taken a step down from last season but this was one of the games I have Syracuse slipping up in I think Boston College is going to be desperate for a win in this game and Syracuse will get caught off guard on the road coming off a pretty big win against Virginia Tech Thomas castal lonus will go off in this game and I have S getting upset on the road so I have Syracuse Moving to 6 and3 on the season the next game for Syracuse will be on the road against California this is a 50/50 game to me I'm probably a lot higher in California than most people are but I actually think the offense for California will really help them win games California is top 15 in the country for returning production and they return one of the top running backs in the country Jay and a they have the fourth best transfer portal class in the ACC and I think they have a lot of upside going forward just like sakes does but I actually think think California has more Talent on the team and California will have this game at home I'm personally a bit higher on California than I am Syracuse so I have cuse losing another tough game on the road and I have Syracuse Moving to six and4 on the season the next game for Syracuse will be at home against Yukon Yukon has not had a winning season since 2010 and they just went 3 and9 last season this should definitely be an easy win for Syracuse if Syracuse actually comes out to play Syracuse lost two consecutive games on the road but I think they will beat a pretty bad Yukon team at home so I definitely have Syracuse Moving to 7 and4 on the season in the last game of the season for Syracuse will be at home against Miami I think this is a potential win for Syracuse I expect Miami to be very good but there are a couple of games Miami could definitely slip up in in the gameing at Syracuse will not be an easy game I could see this being a close game but I'm very high in Miami and I think cam Ward is a better quarterback than Kyle McCord Miami is definitely trending up and I pretty high in this Miami team because there's a lot of Talent on that team so I have say losing to Miami and I have Syracuse finishing the season with the 3 and5 Conference record and a 7 and5 overall record I think that Syracuse has potential to be an eight or nine win team but regardless I do have them going seven and five because I feel like there is still a bunch of work that needs to be done for this team to actually be a contender for the ACC Championship I think Kyle McCord was a good pickup at quarterback but in my opinion they still lack skill position players and I personally hire on other teams in the ACC but Syracuse is still a team that I think has po potential to surprise some people the ACC is wide open and I like to hire a head coach so we will see but you guys let
