it how you feeling um I'm actually not too bad I'm actually not too bad I think because it's so early in the season I think you know whatever happens happens there does feel like there's growing pressure on ten hog already in this fixture isn't there well we thought it' be a perfect time to do our first combined 11 of the season the rules are quite straightforward mate aren't they yeah absolutely obviously you're going to go head-to-head both pitch a player Whoever has the best you know argument put forward me and Smithy will decide and we'll put it on the board should we start with goalkeeper current Squad this is isn't it this is current squads is it current squads yeah oh right okay cuz I Pi yeah um we're both holding up the same picture for a very good reason right because he's the best goalkeeper in the Premier League um even with the new system he said recently he wants to remain at the club for well a couple of years to come at least do you think he's going to though because mammad ashil has obviously come in this window for a delayed on back on loan but that feels like he's going to come in and want to be number one seems like a generational Talent from all the analysts that I speak to he's got the same underlying numbers as this guy when he was at Roma and then on top of that I also think they are a limited commodity so Liverpool if if they don't use him can just trade him on probably at a profit to be honest so I think this guy still sits at the very top of the tree I mean there's a lot of Praise there for Edison which as a United fan we don't need to extend upon I think sorry for Allison yeah I think everything he said is absolutely spot on he's he's still brilliant isn't he's not showing any signs of slowing down um you can use your maget stick up injury okay next up right back and it looks like guessing you're agreeing on this position let's go with flex first though as the United fan cuz you got me Trent yes it was an interesting one um because uh Trent looks like you know potentially there's Rumblings there of what's going to happen with his contract is he going to be there much longer Real Madrid etc etc but in terms of the quality um of this young man he's he's brilliant I don't think it's uh arguable um I I did I did think in terms of Del because I really do like Del and what he start he's starting to do now is really Settle Down Show good aspects of both sides of season really good season last season um one of the players of the Season depending on which man united fan you speak to um but I just think if I'm building a combine 11 with all of the players that we have at our disposal from both squads yeah I think Trent's got be what did you make what did you make of last weekend obviously there was a bit of a clash wasn't there with vot when he came off and yeah I was there at the game public what did you make of it uh you see you can see Trent's body language but he's always been quite an expressive player and I think obviously when you're one of the scousers in the team then you was first game back at anfield you always want to play all the minutes but I also think they're kind of guarding him at the moment because they know about the intensity and I think he was disappointed I think he he said he could have maybe played a little bit longer maybe there's like another 10 minutes in him or something but I think they know the intensity on the players right now and they know that it's a long season especially after that the European draw the other day we see there are so many more big games to play now they're going to need to manage his minutes because he is Magic when he's out there and it is so effortless as well I I love Do's effort and I I think he's one of those players that you as a fan you love him but the reason you love this guy is cuz every game there's a it's a way you can just unlock yeah let's get on let's get get on there it's fun name the Liverpool starting 11 you do the C backing what you got just all right shall I just I think you're ready first I'm I've always been ready first with these guys cuz that's which side you want the double Liverpool pairing yeah it was difficult because actually van I really like a lot of the Manchester United um Team I think they are fantastic and you know in terms of center backs you've got a lot of choice but you haven't picked one so far not so far um but my point with those guys is delit probably would have been a good choice for me I quite like him as a player obviously I I also think the Butcher on the other side is probably a a decent pick but actually these two as a pair work does K start in your best 11 because at the start of the Season it was Quanza wasn't it and then he came off after 45 minutes in that opening fixture but in preseason it felt like he was going to be the starting center back partner for Van djk yeah I I think think a lot of people were wondering what goes on with canate I think he'll probably end up signing a new contract I think overall Liverpool got a lot of confidence in him but also he didn't play enough the preseason to then be starting more consistently um I love his aggression but I also love how eager he is to be on the front foot for Liverpool I think he's actually a massively underrated player despite his fee and despite uh playing in the Premier League for on the best sides so he's also a great foil to whoever he plays alongside and playing alongside van djk can sometimes be a real challenge as a lot of other Center have found he does his job you got to do yours and I think very often this is a harder job than this I think van dijk as as you can see nailed on for any combined 11 with these two uh you've gone with martinez I've gone I've gone with leecher I I think actually as a parent to to compliment uh Virgil Van Dy in this team as well I think would be an absolutely brilliant um pairing of course yes kind of do play left Center back but van dijke at right center back would be absolutely fine I just think in terms of being combative in terms of winning 1 V1 duals in terms of being aggressive you're definitely getting that from Le but in terms of his ball playing abilities in terms of playing between the lines trying to get the team playing from the back through the thirds he's really really important in that and I think he over canate I think that's what he has that Kate doesn't yes canate is is more powerful more physical probably going to win more more aerial deals etc etc but with what you missed with leer in terms of that level of physicality ball playing which I think next to Van Dyk would just be such a much such a better fit than having Kate I think he's fantastic you obv got a lot more Center back options now than you did previously who who would start for you with everyone fit as your two center backs as it is right now I'm I'm going to say um I'm going to say delit just Lenny yo looks like a generational Talent next to Martinez definitely um obviously he's injured at the minute but was about to go to Real Madrid really really highly tipped fantastic young player and I think he's going to be one to one for the one for the future but first season coming in is not not easy I know that Joe absolutely loves this play I think talk to me for about a month if I don't put him in disappointing dis it would be I think well we're doing it based on Bas on arguments and uh you make some Fair points about marz there I think it's a fairly solid team so far yeah let's go a left pack well Manchester United uh currently don't have any that are fit and that are left footed so just off that it's whoever this guy is you've made it by default congratulations you're also one of the best in he's just he's just on there like you said by default cuz there's not many many other options no listen um there were a few question marks over Robertson though at the start of the Season what do you think the question well I think coming into the back end of last season his form wasn't at the best we've seen Addy Robertson was it Joe Gomez had an outstanding season and for large Parts Andy Robertson was either injured or out of form y has he refound his best form under arot of the start of this season I don't know if he's refound his Fitness yet there were times I think that's a good point the injuries have taken yeah and injuries but also just obviously offseason recovery I think he plays one of the most intense roles in the team especially under slot as well and I think slots aware of that which is why he needs someone like Sim mass in the side as well Robertson is just so committed I think there was a discussion I think I was having on YouTube the other day about if he went what would happen and I think what most people underestimate is his first of all his leadership but secondly just as in forcer nature having him in the team means that if anyone gets fouled in your side then someone on the other team's definitely going to get fou by the way as well most most assists by a defender in premier league history in midfi brilant who have we got should we do the Deep bline two first potentially if it's going to be sort of 4 should we agree on that as a formation I like that yeah yeah I'll give you that surely you've got kobby there yeah mallister both youing okay that's fairly easy what a boring pair of people we are well we didn't agree on most the back four to be well actually no we did actually what have you made a cobby start in the season cuz I think he's been exceptional off the ball seems to have become even more physical over the summer he's um what's gone under the radar is like you said how quickly he's winning the ball back a lot of ball regains from him which is fantastic there's still teing problems and issues in the Midfield in terms of how open it is so there's a lot of space to cover so between him and Casmir there's still a lot of spaces which ugat should hopefully come in and and help but this guy this kid is just unbelievable um out in preseason he wasn't he was on holiday but we spent some time with him in LA and he was um playing footy with some of the local kids down Venice Beach honestly he's his ceiling is just so High um and he take the ball Under Pressure he's strong on the ball he's is going to keep working he's going to keep learning he's still incredibly young you saw what type of season he had last year solved England's Midfield conundrum um and and went on to have a great tourament incredible how quickly it was I think you make a good point about how this time last year you know what I mean this time last year he was injured and and injured B of phas into man united then he ends up bossing the FA Cup finals starting for in Euros let's get him up what about mallister nailed on nailed on obviously World Cup winner um so big I think he's become more self-sacrificing this season to play the role that he needs to play under an slot and I also think you see a lot of rotation on his slots Midfield this season where he gets to play a few different roles uh first of all I think last season you began to see the best of him the more that klopp played him in that position he probably wanted to play in and you'll probably see the same with slot this season has been given a bit more responsibility to facilitate the other two because he's more experienced and I think people underestimate this guy CU he's basically got everything in his but I don't think there's an aspect of his game where I think he's weak to be honest all right let's get him up and we'll go to the attack most tackles and possession one Premier Le Liverpool last season Alexis mallister let's go to the attacking Midfield role and this is disagreement here Bruno versus shabos yeah uh International Captain against Manchester United Captain good chat um it he he's still young uh but he's incredibly talented and you've seen it in the opening to and preseason games as to how important he could be to slots Midfield scores goals assists combines really well really talented player the kind of player that looks like he should be wearing a real Madrid shirt in virtually every game very talented and manages to always look like he's got Ross G's hair from Friends towards the back [Applause] [Music] players in Europe Europe whether it's Kevin deyne whether it's odard it doesn't matter he is the most overated this is the most overated player in the league 10 goals eight assists last season I love to watch live but it has to be Brun no competition okay let's go on to the really that really fascinates me because you know what I think attitude wise it would be this guy all day I've never seen him give up in a Liverpool sh does give up but s0 says he did where's his heart on his sleeve does the job we don't really need many debate on the right wing do we surely you both pick the right same player on the right well I mean you know am's been Absolut yeah there is should we do your last two together so we can see because obviously there's a bit of a fluid front line going on here so just explain what you gone with Garo and J for Flex so both saying I think jot goes through the middle which is kind of damning what a play of the other players um but he is amazing isn't he he's I've I've said this countless times even when he was a wolves player he's so underappreciated massiv J isn't he massively and I think it's mainly because played a bit more of a substitute role like you know similar to the way we talking about with sosai there's a lot of self-sacrifice in young klopp team and under slot he's given them more defined roles that they seem to be thriving in probably because you know he's exploring the squad in a different way jotter is I mean he's an incredible goal he had the best Premier League shot conversion record of any Liverpool player It's Just Fitness and injuries is the only thing holding back Jo I remember when you got in from wolves and I was actually quite disappointed I was like that's a good fee fantastic player um and he's just so so clinical and Anna slots clearly realized that now Diaz can't get facilitative he play he plays great combination play on the left then we got bit de bate yes I've gone with Alejandro garro I really do like Luis Diaz right and I thought but let me actually take a deeper dive into some of their numbers and actually the perception is that Lis Diaz is probably way better than GATRA and I thought I don't feel he is let me let me look at that and I looked at their Seasons last year both played about 35 odd games similar amount of goals five and six respectively similar amount of assist so the outputs very similar the only big the biggest difference is that Lis Diaz is what 27 and gacho is 20 and I looked at the difference between them isn't that the actual output you're right is Sim gach show had 36 Premier League appearances seven goals and four assists last season Diaz had 37 Premier League appearance so one more eight goals and five assists so slightly more for Diaz but played the game more yeah I mean I guess the only thing i' say with Diaz is we've seen him go to another level under slot already you can see his electric is finishing and his position ing seemed to have already improved and I guess if we're talking about now then the opening couple of games of the season and preseason then it's l Diaz over garnacho I think garnacho has a great talent and I think he's definitely you know his ceiling is incredibly High obviously he's not 26 27 right now so we don't know where he's going to be by then but for me the way that L Diaz has started this season it's undeniable that he's the man sounds like you're happy to concede there a little bit with this one what in that he's a young player with no I think you still want to I think your argument is strong there honestly has a start of the season so well well actually gu has been incredible for Liverpool in kind of contrast he has been incredible and in contrast to that actually it's because Gat was late back and didn't have preseason he hasn't been starting the games and has come on and infected both games and it's like he needs to be starting over rashford I agree with that he should be starting over rashford but he hasn't started over rashford so got to go on the numbers we've already seen we go that I think we gave the other two heads to head to flex from g off the Ben on two of the combined Man United
