NASCAR iRacing Series at Daytona International Speedway in iRacing

hey guys welcome to the video uh today we're running the official NASCAR iRacing series NIS uh in iRacing and um it uh the we're racing at Dayton International Speedway today uh it was it's the summertime race that is normally run uh under the lights at Daytona uh we we did our best uh it was a beautiful beautiful race it was uh the weather I'm looking at the weather forecast right now the weather forecast was 77 degrees fah overcast Skies 0% uh chance of rain and two mile hour winds to the east um we did unfortunately actually lose a little bit of safety rating in this race uh to be honest um but out of we were we were we were split five out of 11 and the only split that finished before us was top split other than that we were we were the second finishing split even though we were split five every single other split at the time of we actually recording this has not finished their races yet uh so yeah we started 13th we're car number four going in so we were a little bit off paced for what our car number was uh as far as where ranked going going get the race sorry I'm tired uh that was that was uh that took like all of my focus but um I want to thank everybody that is you know that's one thing that I really wish uh iRacing would actually do is I really really wish they would give us an extra pay laap and what we' do is we would go out and when we came around we would go down Pit Road so we could see where our pistols were and then uh go out and line up like I would I would love when we go out for Pace lap we get brought we get brought under Pace uh down Pit Road once but all right you can see a plane landing over there coming into the airport that's cool that uh throughout the race we'll be able to see planes coming in and going at the uh the airport get all the races at 100 how long is the 500 I always say that they need to at least make the open full length fixed keep it half that would be a good compromise yeah no way nobody would do it I think there would be a lot of people that do it I would I wouldn't I hate the full increases I would then you got more safety too well maybe yeah hands down 100% I'd do it I want the Brickyard get ready know and then five minutes later somebody just comes and shoves it up my ass ouch no ddy GG damn that sucks could have at least bought you a drink first right I mean like I had time to bring my car to a complete stop almost and they still hit me I was the first car first car to spin there um I was getting pushed by somebody really hard and I had to check up a little bit so didn't run over the guy in front of me yeah you got spawned into my uh drafting partner and took him out I was getting pushed so hard that if I wouldn't have checked up I would have destroyed the guy in front of me uh cuz the person behind me just wasn't lifting [ __ ] we're in 30th right now I mean there is a speed limit on Pit Road you can only go so fast why hit guys from behind on Pit Road why braak pick than 50 miles an hour dude I up 6 and there was a front of me that I couldn't pass that was how lose so many spot must half G fi half remember that lap 27 we'll go back and take a look at that oh unless they already they filled up the we were entering the corner too we were we were like going down because there's no wayer the cor pushed so far down the straightway that I I had so much speed oh no I I still was taking a full tank though I started to crack the throttle what the five was pushing the four four got out got out of whack and then the five come back up the track and took a bunch of people out to so it's stay tun love it yeah sorry about that guys nothing I could do I just I got spawned there and it caused that big wreck oh he hit you in the wrong place that's for sure I watched the whole thing and yeah he pushed her right up into the wall [Music] how many laps I give you a full tank plenty of laps left we can do this they're still running AC right now9 the best thing that we can hope for is uh when they go green that they immediately go right back to caution again like that's the first thing that's the best thing that we can hope for all of a sudden all of a sudden wreck and like a big one um there's a lot of cars that already got damage earlier on um so there probably a few cars that get damage in my opin there wasn't so many cautions and people didn't suck so bad on here it just that's what makes it so I would do full races if there wasn't so many cautions but there just too [Music] many yeah we leave all the bees and Seed Jers out of it be strictly for a class yeah but you know that's not really the case I many people in a class just suck just as wreck just as often when I uh when I ran NIS at New Hampshire we had 21 cautions the almost the whole race was under caution yeah that's what I'm saying if you did every race full race I you're talking that'd be the average it'd be like 15 to 20 CS every race I would actually that rate is not sustainable for a whole race the cars run out or people get lapsed down um and then the opportunity for green flag stops also opens up that Gap so it wouldn't be twice as many cautions it would be like a fourth as many more cautions or something I certain tracks yeah I mean double car in well I mean I understand it's easier said than done but between their ears if n was full distance but restricted to a class only well we should at least be able to pit under yellow without causing issues we can't even we can't even do that what I would come on two come on through what I would like to see if n was a class and full distance um because I feel like the races be better no a the a class opens I've been in been pretty decent those you thank you still got about two and a half a little over two and a half minutes ago un required love you Bab that was really really rough guys um but we're going to keep running keep going I've been in top split races before they all race the same I'm saying even the damn Pro guys they wreck each other like there's like nine cautions at it at the end of the races and [ __ ] it's just how it is at that point you're dealing with OS and that's different from Nascar how not unfortunate I was I was really hoping that we would have a chance to uh claw our way [Music] back also would have helped us gain keep keep 31st if uh down move for 12 pleas yeah I'm reporting him don't don't don't try with that on y l outside yeah you're getting reported stay low all clear all clear got one outside clear clear no you block twice you you can only switch lines [Music] once there's the flag is over I only moved one I'm sorry about that performance guys that was um horrible driver so what you now for turning into me I'm going under the yellow line I just PR [Music] testable you know this is a game right [Music] I'm bummed out about what happened to us but I mean it's like dude I I couldn't do anything about it so I mean it is what it is these guys are all complaining somebody apparently made a move under the double yellow and the and the dude that was on the track blocked and caused a big wreck and it's like well I mean if we are going by NASCAR rules which I mean I know iiz you going below the if we're racing by we would consider NASCAR rules in this uh official NASCAR then you would think that uh you would think that yeah you'll you can't pass below so the dude that was on track had the right to block but uh we'll go back and look at um our incident after I'm sorry guys we couldn't bring home a better finish at least we brought the car home uh we salvaged whatever we could and uh we didn't we didn't lose um we didn't lose any more spots after we' came out of the pit like 302nd unfortunately there was like only 36 cars in this race so we we had a really really bad finish there but um Daytona it's a wild card what can you expect I mean it it it's we kind of knew that going in that it was going to be that it was going to be like that so um that is it is what it is but um thank you guys so much for watching uh we're going to keep on streaming but uh I'm going to go ahead and end the recording here so this was this was the race we ultimately ended up finishing 32nd out of 36 cars um we qualified 13th and we were car number four going in which means that we are going to be losing a good chunk of irating um unfortunately but
