A Look at Tennessee Football's Schedule

Intro hey hey what's going on everybody my name is Guy this is Guy Talk Sports thank you for being here thanks for clicking on the video uh in today's episode fall Camp is just around the corner and before we get into fall Camp I wanted to kind of go through uh Tennessee schedule kind of give my opinion on what I think uh the biggest swing games are this year who's Tennessee's toughest competition who's Tennessee's easiest competition uh I'm going to hold out to the end of fall Camp I think uh to kind of give my game by game breakdown and really uh say who I think Tennessee is going to beat and and kind of give my exact win total however I did just kind of want to give like a general overview of this year's uh competition before we get into that though if you don't mind take a want to jump ahead to each game um and where it is in the video so you'll be able to just click and go straight to it let's get into [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] this so to start off uh Tennessee UTC schedule Tennessee is going to play UTC University of Tennessee Chattanooga at home August 31st um this one's going to be a win right this one's going to be a win this is a a warm-up game uh see who's ready trying to get you know the rust kicked off of some of the players for the next week's game which is huge um this is one of the I think this is one of the guaranteed wins now this surely nothing like what happened uh during the Jeremy pu era will ever happen and we lose to somebody like Georgia state but I think this game's going to be a win I don't think I just about know it's going to be a win um and and I think it's it's going to kind of give Nico a little more uh a little more experience under his belt uh for him to go into the next week's game which is NC NC State State and this is technically a quote unquote neutral site game even though it's in Charlotte North Carolina um which is I I I looked it up it's 2 and a half hours from Raleigh which is where NC State is it's about 4 hours and I don't know 4 hours 15 minutes uh from Knoxville so really not not you know in the middle um there's probably going to be quite a few NC State fans there um this is a big one and I think this is this is potentially the biggest game of the year for a very big reason I think if Tennessee can go in and beat NC State they have a very good shot at having a an amazing year um a potential 11 in one type of season that's how big I think this this this game is you win against NC State that momentum keeps building you know you have we'll talk about these next few games as well but I think this is very similar to me and how Pittsburgh was in 2022 when hen and hooker took the balls into Pittsburgh got the overtime win and from that just carried all this momentum through the rest of the season um it it's it reminds me just like that game Pittsburgh had decent team you weren't sure you really weren't sure what was going to happen and it was it ended up being a good game um and I think this one has that potential NC State's a very good program um they they you know they they had a very pretty good season last year and I think they're predicted to have a decent season this year as well um I I'm I'm not a fan of neutral sight games this my I I don't think this is a hot uh hot take on anything I I think most fans aren't fans of of neutral sight games I am so much more a fan of of you know home and home uh home and Home Series um I I get it I understand that it has to do with mainly money and that you know you each each School gets a lot of money you play at neutral site and that's it and and that's fine you get you get plenty of exposure and all that it's just for the pageantry and kind of the the the you know the fan base gets to travel to these new schools that they've never been to um I the home and home games to me are just so much better um and I I know that's really a thing of the past now and I I don't think neutral sight games are going anywhere but I I would so much rather at home and home whether it be NC State or not or or somebody else again I understand why we don't do them anymore um but uh still I'm I'm not not a huge fan of of a neutral sight game I'd rather this be either a home game against NC State which I mean you know I know Tennessee has done some home and homes lately but neutral sites are are are big time right now and I just I don't know not a fan but you know NC State they're they're they're going to be a good team they're going to be a tough win um and I think it's going to be Nico's it really could be a coming out party for him um and kind of him cementing uh his you know his his place in the SEC this year his place in kind of the national Spotlight him kind of proving hey the spotlight is not not bit you know too big for me or it can go the other way uh and Tennessee gets ran out of the building I I don't think that'll happen either way I think it I think it's going to be a good game I think Tennessee has a great shot at winning that game but I think this is potentially the biggest swing game uh of the year and maybe the biggest game of the year in in that regard you win this game and you get so much momentum for the rest of the season so this one's I this is a big one it's a very big game um and any anyway I I think I think Tennessee has a good shot but it's a it's a big swing game uh the next week Kent State you play Kent State at home that's on September 14th that's going to be a win um I and then the next big swing game right you know early on in this season there's going to be um there's a lot of variables that kind of decide what which way this season goes right you have the NC State game you have the Oklahoma game Oklahoma uh September 21st it's at Oklahoma this is a again another another big game I think I think by winning NC State you can then lose the Oklahoma game and still have a shot at a decent season um I think if you lose against NC State and then lose at Oklahoma I'm not saying the season is shot but you're going to be hard pressed to have a a I I I think if you lose both those games you're definitely not going to make the playoff um and and so the NC State Oklahoma game I think at at worst you have to split those games um and so if you do lose NC State the next biggest game will be Oklahoma and that'll be for not not necessarily for the season but I mean in a way it kind of is um Oklahoma is going to be a huge game and if you can beat NC State and Oklahoma if you look down you know the rest of the schedule you have a very good shot at making the playoff very good shot at making the playoff and it you know like I said if you split those if you split those two games you still have a real a decent shot at making the playoff so Oklahoma NC State again huge game Oklahoma is going to be a gigantic game Oklahoma is their first year in the SEC they're trying to make a splash you know they have venables as their coach um it's a hyp I think it's the first time he's going to be playing at Oklahoma since he left the program um which again in in a past video when I kind of talk about Hy's coaching history you know he played for Oklahoma he was a co- offensive coordinator at Oklahoma was kind of let go in a bad way uh back in 2015 2016 somewhere in there um and and it it didn't end well they're definitely uh relationships are are are being mended at Oklahoma between Oklahoma and hyp um he he you know he talked about it in his press conference how he's excited to go back still has plenty of relationships with people there at Oklahoma so this one's going to be a big one Oklahoma they're projected be a pretty good team this year I think um uh they were uh projected to be uh I think Tennessee was projected seventh we talked about this in the last episode um in the SEC by the media um and Oklahoma was set to finish I believe I believe eighth um in the SEC so both you know media they they think Tennessee and Oklahoma are pretty pretty close as far as competition goes right and I think um I think this is going to be a great game you know with with venables and his defense I think you know they're going to they're going to try their best to shut down this Tennessee offense and um I I think it's going to end up being a big game it's a big swing game big swing game Oklahoma does have a new offensive coordinator uh in Seth Latrell he's actually the head coach at North Texas um I think till 2022 and he was a part of like an offensive Analyst at Oklahoma last year Jeff lebby um who previously worked with high highpool uh he's now at Mississippi State we'll talk about him here in a little bit um was their offensive coordinator their offense did some good things I'm curious to see how uh Latrell um is going to go about with you know with Oklahoma's offense um it's it's interesting right it's exciting it's going to be a big game I think I think it's really as as big of a game as NC State is I think Oklahoma is really the first game is is really what a lot of fans would consider Tennessee's biggest you know first game um and it's it's one that everybody's kind of marking on the calendar right it's a it's a it's kind of a kind of a grudge match with hyp coming back there and um it's it's going to be it's going to be a big one it's going to it and NC State are going to determine how this season's going to play out and um the next week I'm sorry in in two weeks after that so Tennessee has a byee and then they're going to play Arkansas um Arkansas that's at Arkansas October 5th I I think that's most likely a win right um I I I don't I don't see Arkansas winning that game even though it's at Arkansas um it's going to be a tough win for them you know Sam Pitman I think he's going into his fifth season now as Arkansas's head coach and I I think most fans uh I think they gave him a fair shot right this is his fifth year in five years if you're not producing um I feel like that's more than fair in today's standards right I I think most coaches are given not much time at all you know maybe three years to see how they're doing I mean look at U you know Billy Napier in Florida right um most coaches are only given three years to you know for you to see a turnaround um and you know a lot of a lot of places see coaches like hyp what he did his first year back um that team was beyond expectations and then in 2022 Way Beyond you know anyone's expectations of of how they would do that year and and so a lot of fan bases see success like that and they see you know they see coaches come in you know you look at places like LSU as well they bring in Brian Kelly right all all of a sudden I mean they have a top five recruiting class and he's uh he's winning and so I I feel like to give someone five years in today's standards it's a long time I feel like he was um I think I feel like he endeared himself to the fan base really early on he seems like a nice guy um an amazing offensive line coach and um it just I don't think he's getting it done in Arkansas they brought in Bobby patrino right as offensive coordinator um and if anybody needs a a history lesson on old old patrino uh he did really well he used to be Arkansas's head coach uh from 2008 to 2011 and then there there was the whole uh motorcycle accident right um and and it you know turned out to be this you know crazy Affair that he was having and this and that and and he ended up getting ran out of there um and was let go by Arkansas uh and he's had you know a lot of success since leaving that program he was at Western Kentucky then Louisville you know he was with Lamar Jackson in Louisville and they had you know their amazing offense uh he then was at uh Missouri State and uh then Texas A&M he was the offensive coordinator quarterback's coach uh for the one year before uh before that whole staff was let go and now he's been hired as Arkansas's offensive coordinator and and quarterback coach he is a good offensive mind he runs a really good offense offense and I think it's just a matter of time this year I think you're going to see Sam Pitman let go U maybe not during the season um they they'll probably wait till after the season but I I think at some point they're going to name this is uh petrino's warm-up year uh for the fans to kind of get used to him being back uh before they hire him as the next head coach I I really believe that I do not think that Arkansas is going to beat Tennessee this year um I I I think that is in terms of you know whether it's a for sure win for sure loss swing game that kind of thing this is a a most likely win um uh and that's that's that's about all I got for that one uh so you know that's a that's a it's a pretty tough St right you got UTC you have Kent State you know both those games are at home I think those are both guaranteed wins then you have NC State neutral site that's a tough game Oklahoma big swing game right that's a tough game Arkansas it's still it's at Arkansas but it's after a bye it's Arkansas I do think that that's going to be a win and then you start a long Home Series stretch uh and this is Florida when you get into the Florida game Florida this year we are it's at home October 12th and if the season again I you can't say every game is a swing game but this this really is kind of the the the the last last hurdle I think as far as swing games go you have NC State 2 weeks later you got Oklahoma I guess 3 weeks later you got you got Florida and I think those three games are are really going to determine because you know you have games like Alabama later in the year you have Georgia we'll talk about those you know those have a little bit of a different flavor to them um NC State Oklahoma and Florida in my opinion are three game and honestly based on what Florida is supposed to be this year I any other team and I would say oh it's going to be a for a most likely win right I Florida is not projected to be good Billy Napier I think they have the 58th or 50-some recruiting class in the country right now because everybody is negatively recruiting against them because everyone's predicting him to be fired this year at some point it very well could be during the season I think Florida I I I think they should give npure a longer leash they should I think they should give him a couple more years to try and turn this program around but I think they have their minds made up already regardless of how this season's going to go which they have maybe the hardest schedule this year but for any team they're not going to have a great year now whether they beat us or not that's who knows because we seem to lose to Florida every year but Florida is not projected to have a very good year they are projected to be towards the bottom of the pack and every everyone thinks that Billy this is going to be Billy napers last year and and to me I think if you already know you're going to fire him they should have fired him after last season then I do I think that's what they should do no I think they should give him another couple years to try and turn that program around because I think he's a good coach but I I think they already have their their eyes set on on letting him go and getting somebody else in there that can turn the program around a little quicker and uh and with all that said I you know this if if Tennessee beats Florida that very well could be the that could be Billy napers uh you know meeting the next day where he's getting let go um it is at home right this is in Knoxville uh it was just you know two years ago 2022 is the last time Tennessee beat Florida um and it was the first time since what 2016 that Tennessee had beat Florida since uh since dos um like I said Florida is not projected to be very good but for whatever reason Florida every single year doesn't matter how good they're supposed to be or how bad they always seem to beat us they always seem to beat us now this game is at home which is a big deal and I think that um as bad as they're supposed to be and as good as I think we were supposed to be this should be a most likely win the only reason I think it's a big swing game is because it's Florida we have to get p Pass Florida the there are we there is no right that they should be beating us this year we are a better team we're a better program currently than they are this should be a win this should be Billy napers last time he's going to be coaching the University of Florida in Knoxville it should be the very last time and uh this this should be a guarant almost a guaranteed win but it's Florida right it's Florida so therefore it's a big swing game it's a big swing game and uh I I I don't know I don't know how it's going to go I I if you you know if you've beaten NC State in Oklahoma technically you can get by with a loss here but the Optics of it would be so poor because Florida is not supposed to be good this year they're not going to end up with a good uh resume at the end of the year uh their overall record by the end of the year I it wouldn't surprise me if they win four or five games and I I don't want you know I don't want the Falls to be one of those wins for them um it shouldn't be this should be a win for Tennessee but for whatever reason Florida just keeps beating us and I I think um for that matter if you drop this game it's going to look really bad and you have to make up some ground you have to be sure you beat Kentucky later on you have to really give Alabama fits um and Georgia I spoiler alert I don't think we're beating Georgia um but um you know I I feel like this Florida game if you can get through Florida and you've whether you have I think if you drop NC State you drop Oklahoma you're not going to be set up for a very successful year right if you can split the NC State and Oklahoma games and still beat Florida and come through with those first what is it the first six games with only one loss you can set your yourself up pretty good for the rest of the schedule if you can beat NC State and Oklahoma and then come through with Florida again I I think if you go six and0 those first those first six games you you're making the playoff I think you're making the playoff um if you're going five and one I think you have a really good shot at making the playoff um don't let Florida be the one loss Let It Be Oklahoma or NC State I'd prefer Tennessee B6 no at this point um but if it if you're going to have a loss Let It Be NC State or Oklahoma both of those are understandable losses both those teams are supposed to be good both of them are either at a neutral sight or they're at going to be um you know at you know it's like at Oklahoma so don't let Florida get that so again another reason that you really need to beat Florida is you want that momentum right if you can if you lose earlier in like if you lose earlier in the season to an NC State okay you still have you know Kent State if you could beat Oklahoma and then Arkansas and Florida that momentum's still there for the next game but if you lose to Florida and momentum is a really big thing it's it's I think it's a really it's it's a real thing it's an important thing in sports because Sports is not just a physical aspect there is a mental aspect to it and but if you can beat Florida and keep that momentum going if you could potentially be 5- one or even 6-0 the next week you play Alabama Alabama and they're probably the second hardest game you have on the schedule Oklahoma's probably your third hardest game um but Alabama definitely your second hardest game it's in Knoxville October 19th in Knoxville third Saturday in October and it's it's a big one right last time Alabama was in Knoxville they got ran out of the stadium uh it was a you know it's one of the at least in my memory it's one of the best games I remember watching um I think the you know the hell Mary at George with DOs uh and Jennings that was an amazing game um he had a couple amazing games that year um but Tennessee Alabama 2022 those Stakes were high that is a hard game to be when you think back I even if you're not a Tennessee fan that was just a fun game to watch um a lot of ups and downs on going both ways and uh and that's going to be a big one Alabama is going to be looking for Revenge coming back to Knoxville their fans weren't happy about that loss um now Nick sav's not there anymore Nick sav's not their head coach anymore now they took one of the you know potentially I don't I don't even know if it's Up For Debate maybe the greatest Co at least college football uh head coach of all time in Nick Savin I again I I don't think it's debatable I think he's the greatest uh college football coach of all time um and they're replacing him with a guy that is 104 and 12 overall as a head coach so they did replace him with a really good coach it's it's you know kayin deor um talked about last in the last episode he's actually from South Dakota which is which is cool just like Josh hpel really good coach right like I was saying he was at Washington uh for 2022 2023 made it all the way to the national championship game last year and uh and fell short of uh of you know because Michigan's good team um he was the head coach at Fresno State before that they were really good you know those two years as well so he has a lot of he he has a lot of success you know I think in 2022 for Washington he finished that year 11- two and then last year he was 14 and one with their only loss being the the national championship game so he knows how to win that's I I know it Nick Savin is no longer there and they lost some guys to the portal because of that that but Alabama did one of I I think I think there was there was a couple guys ahead of him I think Steve sarkeesian was a name that they were interested in I think uh and and I I don't I don't think he was going anywhere at Texas I think uh I think you had Mike Morell at Florida State I think he was the name they were interested in um and I I I think you know Florida State wasn't going to let him leave and then I think you had Dan Lanning at he's at Oregon and I think they wanted him as well um he's done an amazing job since he's been at Oregon um younger guy too and I I think that was that was somebody they were they were eyeing as well and then you had kayin deor all four I think I think you get you know any of those Co coaches uh you could even throw like Lane kein in the mix I I don't know if they were going hard at Lane kein but um you know any of those other three coaches I think would have done really well I think the fact that you you have to quote unquote settle for kayin dor who played for the you know who who coached for the national championship game the previous year I think is is a as a a tell all for where they're you know Alabama's program is they've been uh consistently the the best or one of the best programs the last I don't know you know 15 to 20 years since Nick Sabin was their head coach or became their their head coach um but you know kayin bour has a great offense uh he's brought in some guys I think this I mean this is going to be a tough one right I I'm not saying it's a guaranteed loss uh like I will possibly with Georgia um but it's I I would definitely say it's it sways a little bit more in Alabama's favor I don't think it's a neutral I don't think it's a 50-50 game uh with Alabama I do think Alabama has a little bit of an edge even though we're playing at home um I still think Alabama has a little bit of an edge I some people might disagree with that and that's fine I as a Tennessee fan I I hope we beat you know I hope we beat every team we play um but Alabama is a good program kayin deor is a good head coach how quickly can he um how quickly can he install uh his offense uh with this team how quickly can he install you know his values the way he wants to run this program get out of Nick Sav shadow that might be something that comes into play right you don't just come in and replace the greatest college football coach of all time without there being some uh some bumps in the road right and so you know maybe this first year it is a little bumpy for kayin abore at at Alabama um the fans are going to demand Perfection because that's what they demanded from Nick Sabin uh because he set that standard um or I guess kind of regained that standard Alabama's always had a really good football program they've had some some some absent years don't get me wrong but they're they're definitely one of the Pinnacle or one of the the the top uh football programs in the country um I'm not an Alabama fan right but I I respect where it's due Alabama is a good program they got a good coach now can he get out of Nick sav's Shadow that's a big question um it's I I know he's played at you know he's coached at Oregon and this and that you know taking teams here and there when Alabama goes to Knoxville to play play the BS I I think he's going to have uh quite the rude awakening I don't I don't know if he'll have coached in a louder place in a more hostile place than Alabama coming to Tennessee and maybe I you know I'm I'm sure he's going to be a professional and it's not going to bother him but it's it's it's a lot it's a lot and I don't know if he'll understand how much it is until he coaches that first game how much it means to everyone that we win that game so I you know while I don't think it's a 50-50 game I do think Tennessee at least has a chance right maybe I don't know maybe a 3070 40 60 somewhere between there maybe uh that Tennessee has a chance of winning um but you know that that's a big one that's a big one now you know say Alabama's loss right that it's not the end all Beall for this season I think if you can end this season 10 and two you still have a really good shot at the college football playoff right the next next game after Alabama is Kentucky Kentucky however there's a bye in between and that is one of the biggest aspects of this game one of the biggest factors I think that will go into how good of a shot Tennessee has at beating Kentucky Kentucky every single year it seems with Mark stops as their head coach starts off the season so great and then they just Trail off right they start playing a lot of a lot of a lot better teams they start to Trail off they're going to get Tennessee after Tennessee gets a by we now it's after Alabama but it there's a byee in between and I think that's very important for whatever reason as much as Florida beats on Tennessee Tennessee beats on Kentucky that much more Kentucky Wildcat football has not had a lot of success against the volunteers um I was actually at that first game at Kentucky where where they won for the first time in like 30 years or whatever it was that was horrible it was such a bad experience I mean I it was it was it was still a fun trip but we had to leave that run out of that stadium before the clock was over because it was getting crazy in there um they have not had a lot of success against us um I know every Kentucky fan uh has has that game circled right this they want to beat Tennessee Gerald meny who played for Tennessee last year is going to be playing for Kentucky this year he's made a point that you know they're circling that on the calendar he's going to be in a rout in for a route Awakening Tennessee does not lose to Kentucky and you can mark this in this video right now Tennessee is going to beat Kentucky it's at it's in Knoxville Tennessee coming off a bye Josh hpel typically has a lot of success coming off by weeks ky's not winning that game I I they have now they have a what I think is going to be a really good team they have that new quarterback right Brock Vandergriff uh who was sitting on georg's bench um that they have the makings of a good team that being said Kentucky does have a new offensive coordinator as well with I think it's Liam Cohen uh leaving Kentucky again bush hamton is now their offensive coordinator uh he played for Boise State he was the quarterback uh in 2004 to 2008 actually and uh so they they hired him from Boise State to come to Kentucky and I don't know how good they're going to be I know you know they have that the a great quarterback anytime you have a great quarterback on the team you have a chance to be good right that's the most important most important position on in football um how good can Kentucky be I I think they're going to be pretty good Mark stops typically has puts out a good product for most of the Year anyway you are getting in later into that season into the season right uh Tennessee is coming off the by week and once again it's Tennessee ky's not winning that game Tennessee they're going to win um and so you have the potential uh to have a really good season so far next game is still at home right this is part of that MS State five game uh I'm sorry four game home stretch uh you play Mississippi State the next week November 9th Mississippi State they have a new head coach in Jeff lebby he has uh he really skyrocketed up in the coaching rankings right he was part of hyp Staff in 2019 uh also 2018 he coached quarterbacks uh for Hyo was the offensive coordinator at UCF in 2019 under hyle after 2019 he was poached to Lane kein staff at Old Miss where he had a ton of success um under uh you know under kiin uh in 2020 and 2021 Old Miss had some really good offenses offenses those years um after that he was hired on to Brett Venable's staff in 2022 as their offensive coordinator um had an okay 202 2022 year if I remember right and then in 2023 Oklahoma I think they had a pretty good offense last year so um he was hired as Mississippi State's new head coach that'll be interesting to see him and H highle kind of uh kind of coming back together and and and I'm curious to see what their pregame talks like uh leby has a really good offensive mind he has been under some really good offensive minded coaches in hyp and kein right um so he I'm curious to see how he does with that program this is his first year as their head coach I don't think they're going to do very well they're projected to be one of the worst teams in the SEC now this is still the SEC right but they are going to be at the bottom of the pack I don't think this is going to be much of a challenge for Tennessee it's at home it's in Knoxville um and I think it's most likely a win I I'm not saying it's a a guaranteed win I think it's most likely a win though um next game it's a big one right November 16th you were playing Georgia at Georgia Georgia I I I I don't know what what all I can say about this Georgia year in and year out now is a great team uh Kirby Smart has done an amazing job with that program I have a lot of respect for how uh how he's built that program up now he has had a ton of players get in trouble recently with a lot of traffic violations but nonetheless he has a really good team he's got if he has to kick off 10 players off that team there are 10 five stars waiting behind them to take their spots right that they're a really good team um this is as guaranteed of a loss as as there is on this schedule uh Georgia is the best team we play it's at Georgia this is coming off of a a you know Alabama Kentucky Well we have that byee between Alabama Kentucky so it's coming off at Kentucky and Mississippi State it's your first game away in a while I don't like the the the adage that well hyp just can't seem him to get by Georgia nobody can get by Georgia everyone has a hard time against Georgia um so you know they have every year have an amazing defense they're goingon to have another amazing defense this year um they're going to have a decent to Great offense they're G to have an amazing defense and they're going to be probably the number one team coming out of the SEC so I don't know what else I can say about that one it's going to be tough do I hope we win absolutely I hope we win uh I I you know I hope it's nothing but nothing but a huge Victory and that we blow them out and and and bark at them all the way to back to the bus and and drive home so I don't think that's how it's going to go um but I do think I think at best this is your first loss of the season um at worst could be your second or third could be the reason you you know it's not going to be the reason you don't make it into the playoff I think whether you're having a great season or not you're probably going to lose to Georgia again I'm not being down on the BS right I hope we beat them it's just going to be really unlikely um I'm not saying it's guaranteed I would put it at a 10 to 20% chance maybe somewhere in there I haven't haven't like I said I haven't really done my whole win loss uh situation this year or you know my win total this year and who I think we're defin you know who I'm predicting we're going to beat I'm going to be honest though this is is probably going to be a a projected loss for me as it is I think just about everybody else in the country so I'm trying to look at it without orange color orange color glasses and uh I this one's probably going to be a loss it's going to be a tough one it's going to be a tough loss I don't like I don't like Georgia I don't like losing to Georgia I respect their program um but I I can't stand Georgia so I I hope we beat them probably not going to though uh next week uh after that it's November 23rd it's at home against UTEP that's going UTEP to be a win that's going to be a guaranteed win uh and then uh that's I don't have much else to say about that you in the season that's you're going to be your last home game and so uh lastly on November 30th uh Tennessee plays uh Vanderbilt Vanderbuilt at Vanderbilt in Nashville um it's normally a home away from home for Tennessee right um that one's going to be a win I I you know as far as categories go I have some guaranteed wins most likely wins 50/50 swing games right and then some most likely losses and guaranteed losses Vander bill is a win Vander bill is a win every year until they prove that they're not a win every year Clark Le uh was hired in 21 overall record at Vanderbilt 9 and 27 I it's hard to be you know it's hard to dog him too much though because he is the head coach of Vanderbilt um they don't put a lot of money or or or attention into their football program and this is the result that they are the uh doormat for for the SEC year in and year out um I especially just as a conference it's a bad look for how Vanderbilt typically is I know I'm being harsh on Vanderbilt but they deserve to be uh the program deserves to be dogged on because they are they are year in and year out a bad program 9 and 27 is not good and yet he's still the head coach and not really at least that I've heard on the hot seat um you know he came from Notre Dame Big Time defensive coordinator right supposed to turn this Vanderbilt program around and maybe he does maybe they start winning a few games this year I don't you know Vanderbilt's never going to be uh a player in the league right but uh maybe he turns turns that program around they win a few more games than they're supposed to but um I just I don't see Tennessee losing to Vanderbilt if they did that would be a huge knock on Josh hpel in his tenure um and I I think Tennessee will end the season with a win um in Nashville and uh overall you know that's going to be that's going to be big right so you know looking at the 12 games that we play I have four games that I think Overview are guaranteed wins you know no matter how bad Tennessee plays Tennessee is going to win the game you have UTC at home first game there that's a guaranteed win third game at home Kent State guaranteed win um I think UTEP at home November 23rd second to last game that's a guaranteed win and then Vanderbilt at home on I'm sorry at Vanderbilt November 30th that's a guaranteed win so I think there's four games I think the whole season just is horrible it's the worst you can possibly imagine Tennessee is winning four games at least um that being said there are a few games that I think are most likely wins so you have Mississippi State I think is most likely a win um Arkansas is most likely a win and then Kentucky I think is most likely a win solely because it's Kentucky um and we're coming off a bye I I think I and that that I could be proven wrong there and that KY is not most likely but I I still think they're going to be a win either way it's how how hard of a game is that going to be for the balls um I still I I no matter what anybody I don't care if kuy's undefeated and Tennessee hasn't won a game I will still pick Tennessee to beat Kentucky that that game because Tennessee doesn't lose to Kentucky um and so I I don't know even if you take Kentucky out of it that's still Mississippi State and Arkansas which is two more most likely so floor realistically 6- six um maybe even s and five if you include Kentucky in that you know six and six 7 and five I think is the worst Tennessee could do that's losing to NC State that's losing to Oklahoma that's losing to Florida that's losing to Alabama and losing to Georgia you're telling me in those five games Tennessee can't win one then there there's going to be some questions about Josh hpel right after after a seven and five year like that I don't think it's going to go I I don't think it's going to go like that at all though I think Tennessee has a good shot good shot against Tennessee State I think Tennessee and Oklahoma's going to be a good game I think Tennessee has a good shot against Florida um Alabama and Georgia are those two games right we talked about that are going to be tough Georgia especially um but yeah so I think I think Flor honestly probably seven and5 I think ceiling somewhere 11 and one somewhere in there um so you have the I mean you know but at at at the very least s and five you know you never want to be that last year we were eight and Ford it felt like a disappointing season uh because it it was we shouldn't have lost to Florida last year um at minimum we should have been a N9 and3 team um but you know 7 and5 to 11 And1 I think is it which is a pretty big window there it's a pretty big window I'm saying s and5 is the you know the floor has you know everything's going wrong um I think s and5 is the worst they're going to do everything going right I think 11-1 is the best they're going to do this team I I think there's a lot of unknowns I think you have a lot of experience on the offensive and defensive lines which is going to help you in the SEC especially um and we'll talk we'll do an offensive preview we'll do a defensive preview during uh fall camp and kind of go position by position where I think people stand on the roster you know and who's going to be on the two deep um um but yeah that that's all I've got for this one I just wanted to kind of go game by game I was might have been a little long-winded but I I I really enjoy talking about this stuff and and I kind of wanted to break every game down and kind of give my opinion on how how I thought Tennessee was going to do against each or what what chances Tennessee had um let me know in the comments you know what what do you predict Tennessee going this year um you know like I said I'm going to give my right before the season I'll probably do an overall win record um and who I think Tennessee is going to win against who I think they're going to beat but let me let me know who you know what do you Outro think Tennessee's uh you know win total is going to be who do you think they're going to have the hardest uh time against how do you think they're going to do against Florida this year I think that's a big question we should
