go support our brother man so some news broke today man Jordan Schultz hit Twitter broke it um the Raiders are expected to sign former ja Jacksonville Jaguars first round pick and it looks like we officially have now to the practice squad um Claymont Chason former LSU guy Las Vegas has been dealing with injuries to Malcolm CZ and Tyreek Wilson so this is a move right here that I'm I'm thinking Dante that we brought in because snow didn't look pretty good out there for I mean we really didn't get too much you know production in terms of the sack Department you know against the Chargers but Snowden look pretty good out there jius Robinson looked okay Max we got to get better at at getting to the quarterback but I mean that old line ain't no Puck out there you know with with uh with the charges Joe Alton company man they look pretty good out there ran they actually exceeded expectations if you be real about it because we thought Joe was going to have some troubles and then you look at it he was doing work against Max Crosby so he won that battle won that battle look at the numbers y yeah I mean one sack I believe this is the first time in forever that Max had no pressures I mean he was all over the place don't get me wrong but I mean you know for for him for Max Crosby a guy that is looking at potentially getting a defensive player of the year award this year with the with the addition of Christian Wilkins that wasn't the way you want to start off the season we knew definely gonna be on the resume for that now it's like how'd you do against a rookie yeah it's gonna be weight heavy against when you got TJ watts of the world that just went crazy on and we know we know he's gonna take this though Dante gonna Baltimore because that o line looked very shaky and bore in week one against the Kansas City Chiefs and you know I I like um was it Linder bomb I like Andrew Vorhees that was a guy I wanted to bring in a red shirt him I knew Baltimore was gonna do that they got a good one it's gonna take some time to get that thing going they lost two starters I believe on their line you would think they would be playing better that day too because of just losing their longtime offensive lineman coach as well yeah you know what I'm saying saying you would I I I even projected in our prediction I was like man the Ravens offensive line might be just a a step up just because of that because you always just like with y'all last year with Antonio Pierce you seen what happened in the last eight games that he came in or you know however many games it was and that that team played inspired any any not controversy but like anything bad that happens within the organization they tend to step it up a little bit and use that as motivation those guys didn't look motivated at all no and look I'm G say this as a Notre Dame fan salute to joal uh had a big game there was one play though where Christian Wilkins took that man's lunch literally bro like it was like he lined up behind the center and he kind of played I gotta send you this play bro you're gonna be like holy [ __ ] like Christian Wilk is literally baited him and I haven't gotten to that one I know you probably SE me posting some I I was a but bro he baited him Jo ran right into his own running back like like it was it was absolutely insane so we we'll run that back but how do you feel about this move this is such a you know I mean Chason was a guy that you guys had high expectations for drafted in the first round out of LSU high high rank this this is like the the Cleveland fural type situation with the Raiders we took him really early with Clemson and really never got really truly any production but this is a guy that has five sacks in his career with you you know with you guys he plays with you guys pretty much his whole career until he signed with Carolina this off season and they cut him they just outright right cut him um guy that's played outside linebacker played on the right side played on the left I mean you know what do you think about this addition because you said something interested you know he has the measurables you know big what is he 63 64 he's pretty big right 254 um 240 y said Tyrie Wilson 2.0 man how do you think about this two Tyreek Wilson's on your team God it's nasty work yeah I mean I would I would say this about cavon though because I I think being at LSU and what he did there I believe his last year he had like six and a half sacks he was second in I think he had like around 14 tackles for loss or something like that so it raised the eyebrows of everybody especially playing at a school like that of course it's way easier to get noticed too and being in SEC now the the Jaguars always mess up every every single draft so I always want to see consistency like when I talked about Trey Taylor for you guys like yeah his stats he got a little bit better every single year but it wasn't like his numbers were like he had two tackles one season then got 40 the next season that was the kind of jump that that he had but I believe his sophomore or Junior year he got injured and then came into the next season so kind of had injury concerns there too which I think in 2022 he only played half the season as well so he's kind of had that too so it kind of reminds you a little bit of the the Tyreek Wilson situation that you guys are dealing with a little bit but the one thing about him versus Tyrie and when I did my evaluation on Tyrie was like he's a he's a toddler that has a bunch of strength that is just not all the way doesn't have all the tools in the toolkit to be a successful Edge rusher right I think I se this a wasted show it's like it's like the kid that plays Pop Warner in his age group but then the parents are like that he ain't 12 years old that's that's a damn high schooler playing against middle schoolers right that's Tyree Wilson but he just havn't put it all the way together yet cavon Chason on the other hand had all the measurables to be great ran a great 40 time conr was really really good he looked like a you know otherworldly linebacker or Edge rusher yeah um so bringing him onto your squad that's why I was like it's kind of like having two Tyreek Tyre Wilson Tyre Wilson can be you're hoping that he could still be developed yeah clayon is this is his fifth year yeah so and it doesn't look good when you're a first rounder then you go to a poverty franchise like the Carolina Panthers you get cut yeah you know what I'm saying because they don't have a lot of Hope there and then it's it's either something in his mind why he you know he can't get it right or he's just really that bad and for whenever your your organization goes out within four to five years and drafts another first round overall pick at Edge rusher and he's there to replace you because Josh Allen has been otherworldly since he's been with us right so cayon had to kind of look at that like okay you're bringing Trayvon Walker and like I I I must suck is that what you're saying yeah yeah you're gonna be a depth chart piece you know or or a practice squad guy for the rest of your career but look look at look at this Dante this the sad thing when you guys drafted him in 20120 he played in all 16 games he only started in three this is the first round guy right exactly they had one sack then then the next year he played he played in 15 games he started in eight he only had one sack the production didn't change then you said in 2022 he missed some games he had an injury he played in nine games didn't start in any then last year he played in all 17 games which you guys I believe you you you uh didn't pick up the fifth year option that's why he ended up going to Carolina but he played in all 17 games and didn't start one game and he had two sacks last year so this is a guy that just has not been able to unlock whatever it is and Justin has something interesting he says really just the swim and swipe poor versus The Run he's not a guy with many pass rushing moves what do you say about that yeah I I remember specifically when he was at LSU I don't know what the hype was around putting him as like just an edge rusher because when you saw Josh Allen play in college versus him you could tell that Josh was just otherworldly but they still in the scheme when he came in Josh was playing left and right side outside linebacker and then they kind of push into just being a solo Edge for a long time because that's what his skill set said but I've never even thought about cavon being a a you know up to the Gill Edge rusher yeah all the time I always thought in my evaluation that he was a weak side linebacker that was pretty good in coverage right because as a weak side linebacker half of your job is you got to you know jump back in coverage that's why the TJ watts of the world and the miles Garrett when compare them they're two totally different positions one's a dean and one's an outside linebacker yeah I think cayon has to be a linebacker because the if if you know we could talk as negatively as we want to about his Edge rushing skills I don't believe he's a as a edge rusher I I I just don't I think he is a true strongside outside linebacker where you're not forcing him to be a a guy that's going to be up there on the line of scrimmage rushing the passer now if a spot is open you're asking him to be athletic that's that's a great spot for him I even think like in a a three four defense he could probably be a second mic that that's what I was GNA say a three four is this like another Amari Gainer type situation potentially yeah because when you look at the other half of what clayon is actually good at a lot of people's tackles are inflated by you know obviously group tackles you know or assisted tackles is what they have on the stat sheet but then when you look at him even even in college he was a solo tackle kind of guy so I see everybody putting you know yanek and G in the comment section it's two totally different things like I feel how I feel about yanek and G I think he's a better against the Run than you know some people but I have to understand that that's definitely his weakness yeah but it's the total opposite with clayon his weakness is Edge rushing and his his best asset is getting tackles in the Run game and helping you out there I I don't think to be fair to him what he was asked to do for the Jaguars was not catered to his skill set and this is around the time remember like the edge rusher position when you know I'm 34 I believe you're you know you're in your 40s so it's like we grew around like the same the same era where like the edge Rush Edge Rush position wasn't a thing that we had said a lot it was either you're outside linebacker or DN right y yeah just in the last 10 years this has become a thing where people were like okay Edge rusher is a premier position you have to draft for it it has to be an essential part of what you do AKA Max Crosby anchoring your defense right but with that being said he kind of got drafted in that era where everybody is scratching and clawing for that that TJ watt miles Garrett so when you bring him in as a first round pick that's what everybody expects from him as well this is just me speaking positive about like where he could be develop you put him at linebacker or something like that on the strong side where he he can focus in coverage and and like play the run I think that's where you're going to get the best out of him but if you're asking him to go in there and replace a Michael Co I think that's where the mistake is gonna lie right there yeah so if I if I'm Antonio Pierce is a alltime otherworldly you know I I played the linebacker position for years won a couple Super Bowls put that hat on Antonio and realize that that's his skill set I'm not an NFL coach I'm just saying this is what I saw on film I think it's a rotational piece at best I don't I think that he's still 25 years old Dante tell like still really really young a lot of guys that got drafted this year 22 23 so yeah yeah I pretty much so he still has a lot of football ahead of him I mean but you're right though I mean I think people tend to forget how much the difference between the defensive end and the outside linebacker is I mean where do you see him fitting in the grand scheme of things of what we do and Patrick Graham is doing I mean can you kind of give us an idea because the yanic move to me was not it doesn't make sense to me it doesn't make any sense I mean you said he's not as bad see me personally I'm one of people that disagree with you you know say you watch Jacksonville you guys had a better defense around him you know I mean he played and I watch how he's used with the Vikings and the Ravens too and I I just think it might have been with them that just you know having like the the miles Jacks of the world and all those guys that he was forced to play good in those run schemes versus like with you guys he was asked to be everything he was like your Premier guy yeah until Chandler Jones got there right you know what I'm saying so you know tomato tomato is what we say you know tomato tomato it is what it is right but yeah I I just feel like this is the total opposite so the the thing that I think would help you guys out is just sticking him at linebackers somewhere you know Tommy ikenberg is who knows what's going on with him injury-wise our person you know we heard some personal things come out of his Camp too Divine Diablo look like dog [ __ ] and that too so is this where Maybe this is a catch 22 maybe he is coming in as a linebacker to back of the Spains of the world and things like that and that gives you depth at that position and also you don't like what you saw out of you know Devon Diablo as well so you kind of give him some competition or say Hey you know he's probably not GNA move but come in and be that practice squad not a practice squad guy but like a a scout team type of dude and if you fit our scheme then you can find yourself somewhere else because that you that happens a lot too we we've seen this all we seen this a lot Nathan Peterman what I what I told you guys before Nathan Peterman probably was not ever going to be on your roster but what he could do is run uh know getsy system and show those quarterbacks how it's done how it's done and then and then piece out he he was just you know he was just one of those transitional pieces that happened so this that that's interesting though because you know we look at this as a lot of the nation is looking at this as potentially you know because of of us needing some defensive end help it it could be the total opposite it could be a move because I would have thought if you needed someone to potentially come in and replace Malcolm K and Tyree you would look at a yanic you would look at potentially one of those more pure Edge rusher you know defensive end instead of the likes of a of a chasing that is an outside linebacker by trade so yeah this could be a potential we seen Divine Diablo not look too good out there you know we do have a slew of linebackers on this roster but a lot of those guys are really allocated to special teams you know what I mean like like real talk I mean we we kept a lot of guys because we want that unit to be a strength this year but um that's man I I I also think too you know and I'm not saying that he's a safety but I think that he could slim down and and and can be a safety in some systems he's 63254 who said that he can't slim down and be like what Jeremy chin was for the Panthers when he was there you know obviously maybe that's what they were trying to see out of cayon 2 is and we've seen this before like people transition from linebacker to safety it's almost Universal if you can just slim down and be a little bit faster the dude has the 40 time and the measurables to be that but then on the other side of that too graph is like when I look at people like Brian Branch right who I was super high on I wanted the Jaguars to go after him I I thought he could help any team in the draft look phenomenal right yeah he's looked he's looked the part but the position that he plays is the star safety position which they can move him from being an extra linebacker to in the slot to deep to having three safeties out there at any point in time but really and truly what they asked Brian Branch to do and I'll bet you if I was in those defensive back rooms they're just like we're going to line you up here because that's where we feel like a gap is in their coverage but do whatever you feel you need to do if you want to play Man play man if you want to play zone Play Zone like you figure it out and you just fly all over the field maybe that's a cavon Chon type of thing but not necessarily being as a safety but just plug and play where he is as a linebacker at Edge rusher you know what I'm saying I think that right there would not only ease his mind yeah you know because he's been switched around so much now this is his third team in in the last six months right six months yeah so could he be that CU he could he be the guy that you're just like go out there and just make a play yeah he could be the difference between you guys on a third and N getting converted from another team and them getting a touchdown or them getting to turned over on downs and and missing the field goal that was way too long for their kicker like he could be that type of dude I think you gotta cater to his skill set you got I would get him away from the edge as much as possible but if he sees an opening then go Get It Go Get It yeah see I don't think we're done yet see I think a lot of people are thinking that this is the move to you know make sure that we're okay at defense defensive end you know with Malcolm out and Tyree we don't know he's dayto day so we don't know really how long Tyree Wilson's going to be out with that knee injury but I I do believe we're still going to make some calls out there what what do you think Yanik has left in the tank at this point because once again he still can get to the quarterback Dante this has never been an issue he's dealing with a foot injury ankle injury he missed some time last year in Chicago um but he's always had production in he can he never had an issue getting to the quarterback ever I'm a big I'm a big yannet guys if you not asking him to be anything other than a complete Edge rusher right yeah yeah I I think now I think denil Hunter is great like I think he could do you know I think he can Rush the pass as stop the run you know what I'm saying I always said this about Yanik if you were in a lab and you had to slice the chromosomes and DNA of Dan you know denil Hunter the Adian side would be yanek and G and that's why they play so well when they were together right great comparison great and you know y very you're very familiar because Marilyn local guy so you you know Yan You' been you've seen him play for a long long time yeah yeah I've seen I've seen him play for a long time so I mean maybe because I'm partial because I know that he can go in there and and and give you what you need on the edge or at least be threatening because a lot it's a chess it's a chess match like I know the Casual fan we sit here and we watch the game on Sunday and we're like oh my God like can he just get there yeah but that's a win if he's just that much away a freezing arm reach of of a quarterback you're not thinking that he's probably gonna roll out or do you saw perfect example you saw it with Gardner mchu this weekend how much it can be disruptive you don't necessarily have to get there but it's a chess match the more pressure that you can make me as a quarterback look around even though I know some guys open yeah but my arm angles messed up because you're coming around you're setting the edge yeah that that's what a you know a yanak and g can bring you now what I expect out of his gas take man at this point in time he's good for eight eight sacks a year that's yeah yeah you know so if you're expecting him to come in and do that and just be that difference every once in a while then I think it's I think it's worth it I don't know what his contract situation what he's expecting to get because that's I'm he10 million a season and to be honest at this point I'm not paying yanic $10 million but this is all just he say she say it's not you know it never came out of his mouth or his Agents from at least publicly but the word always had a problem with that I and I think you can read through the Great Vine like he said what he said with the Jaguars like that the owner son you know sha Khan's son Tony was too involved in the decision making and he didn't really like him and they just you know but why did you go from there to the Vikings to the Ravens to the Raiders to whatever other teams that you've been on at this point like a dude that's moving that much is probably pissing somebody off off in in the front office you know what I'm saying he's probably not the easi to work with when it comes to that so I have to acknowledge that no matter how much I like him I gotta say he's right about Tony though man because you can just see aw and tell that Tony is oh I believe they fractured that way too hands on yeah because he wanted to he said that he wanted to be there and Miles Jack and those guys are like we need him on our Squad I mean yeah remember miles Jack Josh football or do you want more money because yeah you gota weigh your options here but what would you what would you rank this on a scale of one to 10 with with this being the potential move to have some additional pass rushing with Malcolm Co and Tyree out at this point you know I'm the more I think about it I know I know I [ __ ] on them when I talked about them earlier just you know you just look at the history of all that like how do you get cut from the Panthers yeah but work if if I'm being optimistic if everything that I said from what evaluated in his skill set happens with you guys then you know right now I think it's like a five out of 10 like okay middle of the pack yeah middle of the pack you guys got some depth you you obviously have tried to address that you guys got some guys that are injured you got a guy that didn't perform well at linebacker so you kind of have a a gap right now like he's a gap filler yeah if he turns out to be everything you want how can you say that this is not a 10 out of 10 if if he turns out to be that what kind of cover what kind of cover linebacker is he in your eyes when you got an opportunity to see him drop back what what what did you see from that standpoint because I'm looking at this as we play a ton of mobile quarterbacks this year could he be if he does end up being activated to the the main roster could he be a potential spy could he be somebody that you can look at in the passing game or someone that just keeps an eye on the quarterback monitors him because we got B we got Baltimore coming up maybe he is elevated and we need someone to keep an eye on Lamar could he be that guy yeah uh um I would say when we're looking through a vacuum with just your division first right because I don't have your schedule in front of me I know you guys play the Ravens next yes we got Ravens Carolina and then we got Cleveland and I believe Denver right after that so let think about you guys just got done playing the Chargers and you know what's going to happen with them Yep they're going to utilize the flats they're gonna have a lot of outside runs clayon is really good at wrapping those guys up now the same thing with the Broncos the Broncos are going to be checked down Charlie with Bo until he starts feeling comfortable then you gonna see what happen at the end of their game too not necessarily with the Chiefs the Chiefs are gon everybody is going to struggle with them because they mix it up everywhere whatever works is whatever works right there's way there way too many things to worry about way too many so if I think about where his skill set is as far as what I've seen before and his tackling ability is covering the flats because that's part of the the pass game I'm not saying like he's going to drop back and and cover a brock Bowers type of dude that's going to burn you across the middle up the seams yeah but again on top of that too part of being a good coverage linebacker is also getting tackles where and not having that guy Advance even if you get burned so and I think that's where he can be good too it's not always about let's knock the ball down out the air you know even even when you coach to ask a guy that's his size to cover a uh a Tyreek Hill is damn near it let's just say it's impossible right so but the best thing that he can do is you just hope that that pass is out of position and he comes in and makes the tackle and prevents a first down that's clavon Chason to me in a nutshell pass in the flat go after the guy at least make a secure tackle secure tackling is what you're gon to get with him and I I I truly feel that from from what I've been watching everything else when you talk about the the special talents like the max Crosby and and things like that or the the spaines that are just going to dig in and and and and go after your guy that's the total opposite of where I see uh let me ask you this former first round guy understandable why you guys did not pick up the fifth year option makes no sense way too expensive but let's just say this guy was a second or third round pick would you have wanted to give him a second opportunity to stick around do you still see anything left in this kid game that that can potentially be unlocked and he can be somebody I mean even if it's just a middle of the- pack type football player not a guy that's just a first round pack impactful kind of player but a guy that that can provide some real reps because I'm I'm looking at this man and it just looks like he hasn't been on the field a lot I mean 57 starts I mean uh 57 games he played 11 starts two passes defense five sacks and that's not going to get it done 73 combined tackles 48 uh solo 25 assists 11 tackles for a loss there's nothing really sexy here 23 QB hits I mean is is there any hope if you were to bring him back if he wasn't on that fifth year option would you still be holding out any hope that this kid can still be something on this football team with all the movement that's happened with the Jaguars it's damnn near impossible for this guy to to sit down there and and be great like the other guys that have been on this team yeah like even Trayvon Walker has had his struggles as well like it hasn't been nice until last year he had a pretty decent year so I would say if he was a second or third round pick we didn't have to worry about the fifth year option I still say that we were probably going to get rid of him and if there was any upside of us keeping him is his age he's a lot younger than still the guys that have you know a couple years out from the guys that have been drafted on this team too so I don't know I I I think if he was willing to be a outside linebacker like everywhere says that he is and not be the edge rusher and be versatile um and you know I truly think that he wasn't that great of a p a practice player that's what I'm I'm kind of reading between the between the lines okay I don't know if it was just seeing and and psychologically right I mean the one thing that we don't we got to do a better job of this like every everybody that's a podcaster we we always got to do a better job at this one thing these guys are are human beings too so whenever you see the guy that you've been close with off the nobody knows how close he is with the rest of his teammates that are not on this team anymore yeah so you grow a relationship with these guys and then they leave I mean it's like me and you if we were to play football again go back to we we you know 17 in high school you got a couple offers I got a couple offers we decide hey man we're going to Florida State together yeah and then all of a sudden you get in trouble or I get in trouble I'm not on the team anymore and we talked about all offseason man we gonna kill it this the type of stats that's what goes on in in in these in these rooms on every single team man there's a Gody that you always cling on that you you know you have these friendly competitions with and and you become close with maybe that is the case and he just never felt at home and then now you just add a little bit more stress onto him you know and it might be rightfully so he might not have practiced that well obviously he's not on Carolina for a reason regardless of his depth or or he just didn't fit the mle but can you get his his mind right and I think him being on the Raiders with the with the max Crosby now of the world like it's either G goingon to make or break you being there or Swim but but I think they're gonna love you hard you know when you're there as well so this might be you know by the way that I see that this team is molded for you guys and the way that you guys talk about him I think this is a great fit for him I wouldn't necessarily say that like being on the Chiefs or the Chargers would be a great fit for them at the time but like yeah for where you guys are him being 25 his skill set and how he can just come in and just max going be like just go out there and do your job and focus on one thing we're young we know what we got to do I think I think he'll be okay so I just don't think it was necessarily like that anymore for the Jaguars it's like it's like that one girlfriend that keeps coming back eventually you guys get back together and you find out that really don't work any yeah yeah well we were talking about behind the scenes that you know like a art and key type situation you know former LSU guys you know didn't work out for us former third round pick he would have been drafted a lot higher if it wasn't for some off field stuff but he can never really get it done with us and then he leaves and he he did great for us yeah he starts isn't that crazy yeah he starts to be but once again though you know sometimes you need a new just new energy a new place to just be able to unlock coaching is key teammates key everything is key man so hopefully this works man you know I mean former first round guy 25 years old Dante that's crazy to see that this kid has been he's already threw his rookie contract he's only 25 years old so and he's for the cheat so we shall see and I keep hearing his birthday was just in July so think about it next he's only gonna be 26 it's not like he's turning 26 anytime soon so and there's so many rumors right now with Malcolm K says is it gonna be four weeks is it gonna be there's rumors if he may he may miss the entire season with that knee injury we don't know you know I mean and I I never I'm not looking at this as a situation where he's GNA come in and take Malcolm C's spot that needs to be Tyreek Wilson's now is will it be probably not because he's looked pretty bad and now he's already dealing with a knee injury after one game you know I mean but um I wouldn't be shocked if we went out there and looked at the likes of aan brought him back to Vegas he loved being there with us for that one year you know he he loved Vegas he he seems like a good guy he he does he seems like a guy that loves the fans you know he's very you know he is a very very good football player I my only issue with him was you know once again we disagree on it was playing to run it was just like come on man like it like it seemed as though you're GNA go away from Max all the time because Max is one of the best two-way defensive ends in the NFL he can play the runner at a high level you get to the passer at a high level they just ran at yanic all day Dante and they were just gashing gashing that left side you know I mean it was just like what are we doing here with with yanic yeah so there's I mean you definitely have yanek and go and I'm just looking at the contracts like he previously was worth 10 million yeah he ain't getting that I mean but then you guys you guys got like Shaq Lawson that's out there that signed a deal for 1.3 mil with the Buffalo Bills yeah you know you got him Kyle Phillips one mil I car Lawson is on the practice squad with the Dallas Cowboys as well maybe you can go over there and cherry pick him yeah which is crazy or I mean if you really wanted to bring a veteran in that you know that like he's probably not going to be crazy but you could you could go in and probably grab a a Shaq Lawson and pair him up with like a Bruce Irving or Justin Houston you know they're older guys Bruce Irving back the Raider great yeah see if he wants to come back and and and get thrown in for a couple snaps I mean those are the those are the guys that are available right now on the market so yck Charles Charles Harris Marcus Haynes Shaq Lawson you said um Koko R Austin Bryant Randy Gregory I believe I thought he retired um rashen green Derek Rivers Shane Ray Ellison Smith who was up who played for us um this he he looked pretty good in preseason as well and then it says Chason who we just we just signed so there's not a lot of great uh options out there but there's serviceable options out there yeah I mean tyus Bowser is another one that played for the Ravens for a little bit LSU guy yeah I mean it's the the possibilities are are pretty much endless but again you also as a team you don't want to break up the monotony of what you got going on and you want to allow those guys that are second and third stringers to at least prove that they can step up because any guy that you bring in they're going to have a you know Patrick Graham is goingon to know that they're going to know the Playbook and the way that they like to do things a little bit more but the ultimate you know the ultimate PR is going to come in and and learn that stuff pretty quick and then within four days going to get the Playbook and and and be on to starting in the game on that that Sunday so dog if I if I got a chance to dust off my Bruce Irving Jersey dog that that would have been something that's not on my bingo card at all for 2024 that' be we've we've seen it we've seen stranger things happen man and he said that you know if Chargers it wasn't a good good game by us by any means the defensive side of the ball did what they were supposed to do the fourth quarter they collapsed you know when it mattered the most JK dobers went out there and absolutely destroyed us in the ground game what do you see us needing to do in order to potentially find a way to go to Baltimore and steal one on the road against a very pissed off Baltimore team with those refs and let's just keep it a buck the offense was not clicking at all Dante like at all you know I mean Lamar was struggling with inaccuracy he couldn't find Mark Andrews at all I love Isaiah likely that connection is starting to form out there the old line still trying to figure out what what do we need to do in order to to get I think Derrick hen only only ran the ball 13 times yeah he didn't run it that much I mean he had a couple good runs but I I would expect him to probably get better as the season goes on but he always starts out like this and you know how he is you gota he's like a tank engine you gotta constantly keep them the rock too defin um you know I I got to go back and watch the 22 I did watch the broadcast but I always like to go back and watch the 22 on these games too but the one thing that I can honestly tell you is Isaiah likely is g to be a problem oh yeah yeah um so if I'm in practice this week you got two good tight ends that could probably replicate at least out as closely as possible to get splaining them boys ready for that I don't think you're going to see Spain rushing that much to to get to the quarterback this week oh gr blit he blitzed him a lot he went after the quarterback a lot against the Chargers yeah and I I I just don't uh I don't see that being a a viability with Isaiah likely and and Mark Andrews didn't get a uh that many catches so you you know they're gonna want to get him involved so it's almost like dealing against your own Squad when you really think about it good tight ends versus two get tight ends so they're going to have to defend you and I'm G tell you right now I'm the biggest Kyle Hamilton fan out there too that not look good in in the Ravens game this this past week he was very up and down okay yeah he was very up and down I was like dang he's just not on his game I think the key to this game is you beat them with as much speed as possible because you got Trey Tucker there that got a couple catches and he you know got a couple targets and he was never targeted again yeah Devonte Adams is going to be their main focus but you got a couple young guys and and and Trey that can get open jacobe Myers has played the Ravens a thousand times at this point too in his career so he kind of knows what you know especially what those guys are like on on on on both boundaries but outside of that I'm thinking attack the seams this week okay because they're gonna want to defend Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer and then also on your side of the ball replicate what they do too I think if you if you both of you guys are replicating exactly what you do with the tight ends it's gonna it's gonna be a chess yeah to not well the Ravens kind of run 11 personnel and then they swapped them out you guys run more of a traditional style 12 Personnel where they're they're both going to be in a game but I The X Factor in this game for me honestly I mean if I had to lean in one way obviously it's probably the Ravens and I and I don't want to say it's going to be a blowout match because they they did not look good so I can't go into expectation that like even though they they lost a close game that they're just automatically going to be good because sometimes when you come in playing Angry you make a lot of mistakes too against a team that's also trying to adjust with what they did well and it could be just another loss of you being to ahead of the curve thinking oh we're just gonna come in and and and stomp the the Raiders said yeah said something like like that as well just looking past us at this point like yeah yeah you can't look past it so I think if you guys attack each other the same way with your with your tight ends I think that's where the game is going to be won or loss and and pal M and those guys they they got to step up you got to play those guys more shallow this week and they got to play physical because we beat up on Baltimore a lot Dante in Pre in recent memory we we have beat up on Baltimore a lot and I remember we beat Lamar and them on that Monday night uh game in OT you know a few years back so I mean you know we've had we've had there you know we've had their card it's just early game in the east coast traveling all the way from the West it's it's very difficult to you know Baltimore is a well oil machine that it's going to take some time to get that thing rolling but maybe we catch them still lacking maybe they're still trying to figure this thing out you know I mean I mean who's to say I mean me personally look I'm a die hard Raider you know that but I'm not going to be biased here if I had to call it I'm saying Baltimore's gonna win this football game I think we that's where you put the money on right for sure I mean it's just you you look at their squad and if they were all the way clicking all the time you know that the Ravens could beat you guys by three scores if they really wanted to they could probably do that to anybody in the league if they really wanted to if everything was 100% on point that's just the type of team that they have yeah but I I'm I'mma give you a little nugget and I I I I I think this guy is going to be severely overlooked and he shouldn't have been the first week is outside of Derk Henry oh oh oh on Baltimore go ahead yeah Justice Hill is nobody to play games with right now bro he was like the entire offense for a minute bro like he he was in his bag and let's not think that Todd monin is not going to respond to that because he's used to that at Georgia having a bunch of running backs that are good and I'm not say that one guy is the main guy but you know Derrick Henry is the main guy yeah but because he's going to be focusing as the main guy it's goingon to open up justice Hill wasn't he killing the flats in week one I swear Justice Hill see it seemed like he was just killing the flats over and over and over again he was the only guy at one point that was actually moving the chains for Baltimore The Far Side hashes were his he was on it I mean this is what it is so I I think that's your X Factor like not only do the tight ends you have to cover them but you got to make sure that you're in the flats covering Justice Hill and wrapping it up with a bow here that's where cavon Chon comes in because that's his strong sit I love it I love it we're G have to keep an eye on Mark Andrews I know he's gonna be upset I know the Ravens are kind of slowly trying to work him back in coming off that big injury likely is still young and and and he's one of them ones I loved him Coastal Carolina I believe right that was a guy I wanted to draft in that in that draft class as well but um my brother man thank you so so much for pulling up I I I needed to pick your brain a little bit about this um for those who didn't see the news breaking news you say was it uh cavon I say clayon yeah yeah it's CL clavon chayon or something like that he pronounces it but nobody really knows I know he's from like deep Louisiana so well we we went got some help today man with Malcolm Coots out on on the IR with Tyree Wilson um we still don't know where we are with with him in terms of uh going on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens but we did bring in cavon Chason um from Carolina just cut him so but he did play his whole career out there in Jacksonville um and there you
