Senator Tom Cotton HUMILIATES CNN Host Dana Bash

RFK Jr hasn't had been an elected office Dick Cheney was vice president of the United States for8 years you don't think his endorsement is going to make a difference with I really I really don't never Trump voters who weren't sure about Harris well I mean some of this is probably that Donald Trump beat his daughter in her last election by 39 points you guys remember that train wreck interview with Camala Harris Tim Walls and Dana Bash well she she's back on TV again that is Dana Bash and she's interviewing Senator Tom Cotton a favorite of ours right and she tries to press him on the ridiculous endorsement from Dick Cheney and the Russia hoax which they're starting to push again the problem though is she didn't come prepared for what Tom Cotton had to say watch I want to start with some of the endorsements that kamla Harris got this week particularly from former congresswoman Liz Cheney and her father the former Republican Vice President Dick Cheney we were talking before uh in the break I covered the bush Cheney Administration I traveled a lot with Dick Cheney I one of the most conservative uh Republicans alive today it's really remarkable that he endorsed a Democrat what does that tell you about Donald Trump well it is a remarkable time in politics you have Dick Cheney endorsing a Democrat and you have a Kennedy endorsing ing a republican I I think what it tells us is that there's a lot of ferment in American politics but in the end endorsements are not going to make the difference in this race what's going to make the difference is their records this is a very unusual presidential election we have a former president running for office first time in more than 100 years people remember that when Donald Trump was in office prices were low wages were high we had peace and stability around the world Comm Harris as vice president has brought us record high inflation we have a wide open Southern border and we have War everywhere turn around the world so I know that endorsements sometimes make news but most Americans are be making their decisions based on the records of these two candidates people remember that we had good times with Donald Trump kamla Harris and Joe Biden have brought us very bad times I hear you about endorsements we don't really know the impact that they have all the time RFK Jr hasn't had been an elected office Dick Cheney was vice president of the United States for eight years he was a senior member of uh the house he was Chief of Staff to Gerald for he worked tirelessly to advance Republican policies for a long time you don't think his uh his endorsement of a Democrat with that kind of pedigree is going to make a difference with I really I really don't me never Trump voters who weren't sure about Harris well I mean some of this is probably that Donald Trump beat his daughter in her last election by 39 points I think most Americans are going to look at this race and compare the records they have again it's a very unusual race when you have a president who served in office who brought good times to America and you have KLA Harris a San Francisco liberal who has brought to America exactly what you see in San Francisco as well uh I don't know why they think it's a great idea to keep talking about Dick Cheney as if it was I understand if it was George Bush yeah a former president yeah that that deserves some attention we're talking about Dick Cheney who's never been celebrated okay not from Americans not from the public not from hardworking people in Pennsylvania Michigan and Wisconsin that that does not exist okay in fact people despise him because he was one of the people who led the idea that we needed to go into not just one country but two countries and lie to the American people about we're trying to install democracy and make the world a better place right they only made things worse let's get that understood so couple points that I'd add on to this she tried to say that well RFK Jr's never been elected but you know dick chenny was vice president okay dick chain was the vice president how long ago all right so that's number one number two RFK Jr has an actual movement okay he has voters he may not have a bigger movement than Trump of course but if all things were fair and he was allowed to debate and there was no lawfare against RFK Jr he'd definitely be a serious consideration in this election and my other point is Dick Cheney represents the past they talk about trying to turn a page right we need to turn the page over the last decade then why you guys trying to celebrate something that happened 20 years ago that makes no sense even as a veteran I don't respect Dick Cheney now he obviously has had a successful political career right and he can get credit for that but as far as the merits of sending Sons and Daughters to war a war that I went to myself and got to see what's really going on which was just really fraud waste and abuse okay it's it's laughable that endorsement I want to turn to a very different topic and that is something that the justice department uh said this week they detailed a Russian government effort to stoke divisions in the US using front organizations and social media prominent right-wing influencers like Dave Rubin and Benny Johnson uh who have ties to tenant media now that's a company that the justice department says was being funded by Russian operatives you said on the intelligence committee how worried are you that right-wing influencers people who do have an impact on your constituents are being funded either directly or indirectly by the Russian government in order to make an impact on this election well first off Dana we haven't been in session so I I haven't seen any intelligence about this matter I only seen the allegations I've read in the newspaper um people should not knowingly take money from the government of Russia or Iran or China or any other adversarial Nation to try to influence the election but I also think it's fair to say that a few memes or videos in the vast sea of political commentary is not going to make much of a difference in this election nor has it in past election as well what did make a difference in the last election is the lies about Hunter Biden's laptop that more than four dozen former intelligence officials lied about in the middle of that campaign and most networks to include this one bought that lie hook line and sinker that did make a difference in the election but I think a few videos or commentaries which again you shouldn't do if you're out there in the business of commentating on elections um is not going to make a difference in the vast sea of commentary we see it sounds to me like you're downplaying the fact that Vladimir Putin is using people like uh Dave Rubin whose show you went on in February as a tool for his propaganda so I I'm downplaying Vladimir Putin's designs or xun Ping's designs or aa's designs to try to influence our election but using money using money to try to promote memes or videos on the internet is not exactly going to make a huge difference again you shouldn't knowingly do that I don't know if any of these people knowingly did you know young people who get they some people only get their information from those memes and videos but Dana what what would really would would be catastrophic is if a foreign government say hacked into the voter registration system during voting or hacked into election machines and erase votes or turned off the electricity in a big city on Election Day those are things that are serious threats a few videos and those active threats are you is that I am worried about those kind of threat sure is that based on what you're being briefed on it's based on the vulnerabilities that all of our infrastructure around the country has that that worries me a lot more than a few videos or memes again this is the kind of thing that foreign governments like Russia does and no one should knowingly and wittingly partake in it but it's really not all that consequential in the grand scheme of things oh man that it's painful right I mean she was struggling to even ask this question to begin with right I mean it was tough for her to try to ask it in a way where she could probably get some attention or clicks or catch Tom Cotton offu guard uh which she was unsuccessful in doing um and it just shows you how much this story doesn't have much need on the bone and it's really a waste of time instead of talking about Russia why are you guys not talking about about holding those individuals accountable including the network for lying about Hunter Biden's laptop so listen the expectation we know it doesn't really matter CNN is never going to truly be unbiased they will always lean left because that's what majority of these corporate news organizations do they're all Ultra liberal an example why I say that uh would be how she was stretching the truth right she said Benny Johnson was taking money from Russia to push propaganda that's what she said but that's not actually what the what happened what happened was allegedly Russia was paying a company then that company turned around and paid Benny Johnson and Dave ran how would Ben Johnson and Dave rman know and speaking about propaganda Russia Russia Russia you know Senator Tom Cotton's de on about this uh if they hacked into our voting machines that's one thing right that is more of a story this really isn't a story because these influencers were not actually paid directly from them okay um but it's another distraction from what they want the people to focus on they don't want Americans focused on what the truth really is is that over the last three and a half years the Democrats have focused on principles that are anti-democratic last thing here for you I get the impression they have nothing left okay uh there's nothing left for them to push or talk about as it pertains to Trump and so they have to make up stuff at this point and take stories that really don't mean anything and magnify them that's really where they're at if they want something to magnify why don't they magnify the fact that Kamala Harris hasn't been doing any interviews and that Tim W is has committed Stolen Valor right why don't you talk talk about that you know those are juicy stories I I don't I don't understand so I think uh once again Senator Tom Cotton does exactly what most Republicans who are going on to the news and what they're able to do which is they provide common sense isn't it interesting when you see her do interviews she's looking at her notes and to Cotton was not isn't that interesting and he was able to articulate better than she was but hey that's my mindset about
