welcome in to everyone in the chat if you're here go ahead hit that like button hit that subscribe button if you're goingon to be watching the replay get in the comment section down below and let us know what you think all right folks let's get immediate reactions are we happy are we excited did things go quite as planned we kind of have a itinerary but I want to get your immediate emotions before we kind of dive into the whole game Daniel start us out then we'll jump down to SEI then we go to JT no it didn't go as planned I thought the secondary would have a bus somewhere along the way and maybe give up a touchdown or maybe a drive somewhere so I expected you know and we got so Us in the Sabin era to when we would play teams like this you get up 35 points just to kind of Hit the breaks and we one of the things I was most curious about would D'Or keep the gas on at that point and I think we got our answer so my surprise was I expected it to be I not I mean not closer but closer I expected them maybe maybe score I was that defense was magnificent tonight that was yes very surprised very elated I mean you know first game in the era how how much more could you ask for guys I don't know without doubt SEI coming in you had a whole week to think about it about your expectations going into this game so let's compare how did your expectations actually coincide with what you saw on screen tonight break it down for us yeah yeah so I would have to answer that question in layers so on our episode a couple days ago on Crimson Dynasty I said that I believe the score would be 42-3 now I said that under the impression that we would have pulled row out sooner than we did so I'm not sure you know I just thought that we would get a a good lead early on to where we could take him out even at after halftime so I'm not sure why we kept him in so long you know at the risk of him getting injured so that was the part that you know didn't quite sit well with my expectations but I didn't have one doubt as far as our defense I said on the show a couple days ago that I believe that the key this year is going to be the transfers how well we've won in the portal but also the freshh the Ryan Williams of the world you know you think about the zaven Browns the zes all those guys of course not all of them got in but uh the majority of them did but I I think from a defensive perspective it it it it matched my expectations I don't know if I want to compare it to the uh Jeremy puit era or the Kirby Smart but either one great comparison so I think we're on the right track offensively I feel like we to some degree I my biggest issue are the number of penalties you know I had High Hopes just based on some of the interviews that had happened uh before the season started and so I was thinking that we kind of cleared up some of those issues but it wasn't you know it didn't bite Us in the butt like it could have if we played a highly ranked team so thank God for that but yeah overall I would say yes to your point about why mro may have been kept in a little bit longer than most folks would have light I think at halftime that our offense even though we're up a sizeable margin only had about 20 plays so I think kayn dor with this new offense and all the pieces they were working in he want to get some more meaningful reps just to kind of get this offense in the rhythm going into South Florida what how do you feel after kind of digesting that that's true that's true and because you said that I think the first two maybe the first three touchdowns that we had it was because of huge defensive plays so we had really good yards and we didn't have enough time for the big uh for the additional plays uh but I I'll toss it to JT because yes know me on a roll so I we love it that's what we love but JT all week ever since last Saturday you had expectations going into this game so tell me about your expectations before watching the game and then how do they kind of coincide with what you saw on the field tonight so expectations going to the game I felt like obviously I wanted to see the offensive line because of last year lot of hype going into last year with the offensive line a lot of hype this year let's see if that you know you know how that kind of panned out I hated to see Proctor hurt that was a big blow um but I feel like the guys regrouped as best as we could and um yeah that was that was my one of my biggest things to look at and I like how things did look without him so Justin but you really stole what I was going to say mainly was about the fact but I'm going to I'm elaborate on it because you didn't hit it exactly what I was going to get to my point you just opened my subject of dor one of my biggest things with dor was you talked about him at halftime D'Or mentioned that D'Or said well we're keeping milro and the starters in because we've only ran six pass plays and four run plays and this and that he gave out all the you know the offense had only done so so little regardless of score so that lets me know dor is thinking this team needs reps they need to jail some more this o line needs this stuff so this is good that he sees this now you know you if game one you're perfect what do you work at the rest of the year you know you kind of you dud out you know you you want to have some things to work for so I love this I'm excited um my expectations versus reality were about even honestly I felt like we did what we did I didn't think we were G to score 60 plus you know that was that was surprisingly good I'll be glad to be wrong about that um but yeah roll tie baby absolutely he was only three Kay was actually only three away from tying coach Sabin all time record so at the very end he had an opportunity to either tie or break that instead he decided to take the knee Daniel go go ahead I just wanted to add one more thing and and and I texted you at some point Justin kind of late in the second quarter I I think he kept milro in again not just because there hadn't had many offensive plays and and he wanted to get more reps but we hadn't seen him thr the like any of the intermediate passes yet it only been the bomb and running and again yeah I think he one of the things everybody wanted to see and I think even deor wanted to see in a game was you know milro be able to hit you know we hadn't seen anything we just seen runs and and a bomb so I was glad though because that was the biggest thing is milro hit some beautiful passes on an out route that was about 15 20 yards that was what everybody wanted to see him man they were just Precision on a dime he hit one over the middle on a on a short post that was you know right right under a guy and and that's why he kept me again milro had had yet in the game to be able to throw a pass that was that required any kind of precision until that till the third quarter so I was so happy to get to see him get a few extra reps in the third even though again the game was out of hand sure sure and before I get to my expectations Kim Washington has a point it was obvious BMA held back offensively no screens no underneath plays milro threw nine passes completing seven for 200 as well as throwing for three touchdowns and running for two absolutely I didn't really expect a lot of fireworks tonight this is more so let's get a product on the field let's get something in the film room we can grade and then also too their their plan going in was to rotate a lot of players and when they said a lot that's exactly what we got on the field so it was more so putting in the pieces see how they work together and trying to figure out what really jails so right now we kind of held back because this is one of those games where you kind of of walk away wanting to learn something next week we'll start to impl a little bit more of the offense I think especially because of the offseason chatter from South Florida's heck coach so I think that Kell deor have a little bit more for him next week but as far as my expectations going in one of the key weaknesses I saw Western Carolina oh not Western Carolina Western Kentucky had coming in with there was their struggle against the run and I wanted to see if our running game could explode out the gate and reality is that that absolutely did Justice Haynes had over a 100 yards rushing 85 yard touchdown run Jan Miller got in on the action I think a 40 yard touchdown run Jaylen milro of course man his explosion is just absolutely amazing and if all jayen had to do was run tonight that would have been fine because they really had no answer so I was pleased that we got our running game into the mix my other expectation I want to see all the chatter about how well these wide receivers were developing was going to come to fruition will we finally see all these these guys that were apparently held back by Bill O'Brien yes two years ago and then Tommy ree this past year we we finally see them get cage and just explode on the field well the reality was Ryan Williams my gosh two for two for 139 and3 but but are we surprised I'm not well yes and no he's a 17y old kid I thought maybe the game it take a little time for him to adjust and I thought he may have a few deep but for him to do it at this level man like I said surprised but not surprised but very excited about what the future holds for Ryan Williams you want to add something c yeah I have a lot to add I mean yeah I mean honestly uh with Ryan Williams I even just over the summer you know and when he decided to step foot on campus and you know you kind of read about some of the things that he was doing like off the field you know and just that that leader ship that potential leadership that people were seeing you know without him even being a captain then you hear the jayen milrose of the world different players talk about him and what they were seeing I'm like this guy he's hungrier than ever you know you think about that wide receiver core that we had when uh Tua made that pass to Devonte Smith when we played uh Georgia in the national championship game to me Ryan Williams I see him and some of our other uh wide receivers kind of kind of like that you know and so honestly I'm not surprised I I was hoping that we would let him lose I think milro had like an 85 or 86 yard uh touchdown pass to Ryan I think that was the first one and course Kendrick law and all of them so I'm not surprised we get those penalties under wrap we're solid without a doubt Ryan Williams did his thing I would like to have seen a little bit more from Kendrick law but from what we did see we know that he's going to be implementing this offense in a powerful way and man can't wait to see Hammer up Daniel you look like you wanted to add something to that I'll be honest I was kind of shocked to see the Deo package open up a little bit with Kendrick with the way the offense was running not needing it I was I I thought that maybe kind of kept in the bag a little more because I I expect there's going to be a lot more of KLA in that package we didn't see much of it tonight because it wasn't needed but we did get a glimpse of it so we did so what it did is it excites me because I know what kind of year he's got coming and I know that that package only going to expand with him in the in the Run game so gosh it just these receivers have so much versatility it's just and you know even late in the game we got to see the guys that we were wanting to see like Caleb Odin make plays and God he look does there ever a kid look the part that Caleb odm looks the part and there's just so much dep right now at receiver man it's just not enough balls to go around on this team it just but again KLA was the one shock I didn't expect to see the Deo package but we did see it so it excit me for the future yes yes yes we may see a little bit more of that like I said next week against South Florida let's go on to our next topic we may have a lot to choose from here what surprised Us in this game for me it's kind of three in one the impact of the Freshman the second-year players and the transfer players Quay Russa James Smith red Morgan Keon Sab all contributed at an an amazing level tonight LT Overton could not be stopped he was coming down that line like a madman no one had an answer James Smith was disrupting literally every play if he wasn't in the back field shutting down a running back or if he wasn't putting TJ Finley on his dirt by the way I think uh I think he heard what you said before the game there TJ he was knocking down passes he was getting passes off a rhythm to where they weren't getting crisply to a receiver or they were falling down in front of the receiver's feet it was amazing to see these young guys in these transfers right away Mak an immediate impact the biggest of all I venture to say Keon Sab thank you Michigan for allowing the transfer portal the open and bringing him down to Tuscaloosa two picks he I thought he was going to have a pick six I'll still take it but that man if this is what he's doing already I cannot wait to see game three against Wisconsin and then when the dogs come to Tuscaloosa and so on really excited kind of surprised we didn't see much from keano cot or Keon Keeley tonight these were guys who were greatly hyped in Fall Camp as well as the scrimmages and tonight they were virtually a noshow if y'all can remind me of any instance in which they made appearances please tell me but they did not have an impact hopefully that does not mean anything negative and we'll see them worked into the defense in the coming weeks but tonight would like to seen something from them but I'm gonna hand it off to Daniel and then to CI if y'all could tell me what your surprises were in this game man I'm gonna take more of a you know a 36 36,000 foot view um the cleanliness in the transfer program look you're stepping down from the the greatest coach had ever lived and you got a big Shadow to feel and kayin dor is playing in his first game and I know it's Western Kentucky but you expect some hiccups you expect something that's maybe not so clean and I I know we need to clean up the penalties but that aside man there was just I mean Western ky's not a scab program that's a program that can score even on good teams they've got an offense that that puts up thousands of yards uh passing every year and again against good teams are going to find ways to score and and the the defensive dominance the way they were flying around the ball you mentioned LT Overton Keon Sab and the in the secondary uh Quay Russa was a wrecking ball man it just the linebacking core it's just the cleanliness from the transition I I and then the offense it the offense had to keep milroe in because it was so dominant running the ball you have one guy with four carries for 100 yards another guy with five carries for 50 yards mil with seven carries for 80 yards or whatever I mean they're averaging 15 yards a carry nobody like you see you don't we didn't get to see the offense do anything because they couldn't stop it it's just I think I'm just shocked that I mean you expect a hiccup and there was no damn hiccup it was just it was almost like a a a gold medal relay team and Savin just hand it off to Baton and toor just it exactly Daniel and that's one of the the things that I've had such a gripe about in the offseason by all the non- Alabama fans trying to chime in and saying that kayin dor is Mike schula 2.0 and the same situation is going to be repeating itself here from what I recall when I was around during the schula times as were you Mike schula did not inherit a team full of four and five stars Mike sh did not inherit a team that had won national championships uh or put countless people into the NFL draft countless players in the first round this is something completely different and people shouldn't be surprised if he just picks up where the goat left off go ahead I go for it CI I no I've been saying it on Crimson Dynasty and people think that I'm like like I have my head in the clouds or something I'm like no I see I mean look at his record just check check his record he's a winner where I mean you have Coach dor to me you know he I didn't see him yelling that much I saw him say a couple things to the revs and to the players but I I mean he just seemed like he seemed confident he seem sure about whatever we put together he didn't seem r that much you know and I know we were playing and and people sometimes try to downplay you know teams like Western Kentucky but if I remember correctly they won their bowl they played a bowl game last year and I believe they won you know so they're not a pushover team you know Elijah Young from their team really good running back he'll literally run circles around certain you know team and so I I would say uh what surprised me for one I was really I was really hoping that we would see Co run out of that tunnel with them alongside Costa boore I understand that he wants to allow Costa bore to just you know transition and take it on but I just think that just the look of it it it just because to me that would have in in almost like a a nonverbal way say that hey I'm still here and you know the standard although the standard is not just him but it's just to me it would have just quietly it would it would have I don't know I think it would have had an impact but I also feel like what was surprising were the low snaps I don't know if maybe my expectations for Parker braford were super high but I just know you know Washington with their oine now they had you know Ryan grub or whatever but I just feel like you know with them having the best oine last year you know they performed a lot better than we did in terms of just the oline and just uh the coverage and you know protecting the QB so I was a little surprised I know that maybe the well I guess I can't really say the caliber of Team either because you know Washington played teams like West Kentucky so I I was a little surprised with the I think it was at least two or three low snaps and they were in the first half so that that kind of uh because I'm thinking you know you can't you can't do that against a team like Georgia for example you know that we plan a couple weeks my thing is we need to clean this stuff up quickly overall I'm satisfied uh that's probably the only negative thing that I could say that surprised me I would say the pleasant surprises and it's not really a surprise because Keon Sab you know I expected it just because he was one of the best of the best you know and I I just I I expect greatness from great players now I will say deanii Jackson I was hoping to hear his name more you know I saw him out there but I was just hoping to hear his name more you know but I think that we'll see uh the zaven Browns of the world you know uh we're gonna see them really show up and show out Cole Adams I was to see him on the on the punt returns but he did well well he did really well so I'm happy for him and I hope that we can kind of you know get him out there a lot more so well to answer your question about zav and brown as well as demani Jackson they were out there the reason why you didn't hear their names very much is because they were shutting that side down yeah which is a good thing yeah TJ Finley could not get the B get terrorized he he was getting destroyed before I let JT give his answer we have another addition to our crew the living legend the star the show of the Crimson Dynasty and the final whistle welcome in to the stays Dan James what's going on brother R tide what is what's up guys man um I'm a lady it's here man it's here I mean Bama football is back guys you know what what a time you know it's a new era we kicked off a new era you know it's I mean it look like we're in good hands it look like we're in very good hands not disappointed is what you're saying Dan definitely not disappointed well hold your excitement I'm going to give you a chance to speak before you speak we're gonna go to JT and Dan just to get you caught up we're talking about what from this game surprised us the most JT you've heard what these folks have said before you what were your surprises anything that kind of matches up what they said or something kind of different um yeah uh real quick the Cole Adams thing that she mentioned about Co that was really really good to see that he's catching the punts he's not running away letting it go 30 yards behind him and we're losing field position that was good uh one of the big things I liked and that did surprise me but it's like a good surprise on this was the defense overall it's a whole unit not just the DBS not just the linebackers not just the the lineman part the whole unit man they they look good pitch a shut out I thought like you know when we started Petty said ah man I thought they were going to give up you know a blown coverage or something you know I kind of felt that too and it didn't happen you know so that I love to see the defense man you have the goat of goats retire and the defense still producing you know that's swarmm defense man is um whatever he's telling them boys whatever it is he needs keep telling them and they can end up on the next Campbell's commercial I'm telling you man them boys them boys are out there eating man them boys are out there eating I love it defense for me though can we talk about it on the defensive side of the ball the lethal combination of jii Campbell and Deontay Lawson they were literally involved in every play tonight I don't know if it was the Jersey change because they were both wearing different numbers Deontay zero and Jihad 11 but they played out of their mind and and also quarius Robinson man yes off he went completely off dude that sack around the edge oh my goodness dude it was like nobody could have blocked him if they if they knew it was coming it don't matter Dan you waited your moment you made a late interest just you know to stir up drama just a little bit I know you got plenty to say Sir what were your surprises in this game oh man surprised I would say you know uh guy that stood out for me is right tackle you know I'm not surprised I would say but a pleasant surprise was Wil and forby you know I think he played a tremendous game man you know it went un unnoticed but he he played a tremendous game on the defensive side James Smith you know he he he was able to affect the quarterback get in make a few plays um you know so those two that kind of stood out you know I like I always focus on the trenches but those two on both side of the ball they they kind of stood out for me pleasant surprise I'd say that wilin forby has definitely locked down that right tackle position without it was something that was question going in we were told that we were going to see both him and pritchet tonight battling for that position I don't think there's any question right now it's wiing for me pritet had to play in the place of Kaden Proctor and we're still awaiting information on the severity of Kaden's injury as we learn more we will definitely relate to everyone here but my gosh wiom fory was an absolute stud tonight I love with that young man and I'm excited this offense of line is turning into something pretty lethal all right so let's move on to our next topic the positive takeaways I know we've already kind of lightly da dabbled in some of these but there are a lot of them tonight so feel free to continue to add to the conversation and before I give mine I'm going to let y'all throw yours in we'll start with CI then go up to Daniel and then let Dan voice his well thank you no the biggest thing that stood out to me is uh being able to play a full four quarters when we talk about the Bama standard and hence the name of this YouTube Network when we talk about the Bama standard that is the Bama standard to show up and play a full four quarters on both sides of the ball regardless of the opponent you know it doesn't matter who we're playing the expectation is for milro Ty Simpson Lan Aus I don't care who it is we need to be prepared to play and just keep playing until we can't play anymore so that's that's one positive takeaway uh I like the cohesiveness and you see it right out the gate at the start of the first quarter like I said quandarius Robinson I mean you look red Morgan I mean these guys went completely off like you I like I said like I mean I you you cheer for them because of course you're happy to see them do well but I was not surprised in the least bit over the even uh aday you know to me I'm like well for one we were actually a little bit more physical for a day this year than typically we are so we already got to see Bray hubard for example I saw him out there yeah so I'm just like we we had a good if if you know what to look for you already kind of felt some level of comfort I think so overall I'm not surprised like said I I one one thing that made me feel good I paid attention to coach dor you know and just that uh you know of course when he's on the field he has this toughness he's really nice in person I got I had a chance to meet him and talk with him very nice very humble uh but on that field and you see you saw when he was at Washington as well when he gets on that field he it's like go time he ain't playing no games so he has like that look of like don't play with me but he he and I think I don't know if it was Malachi Moore one of the guys on defense said uh before the season started that he allows the players to basically lead in a sense you know and I think that that for one that builds trust it builds camaraderie you have guys coming in from USC the deanii Jackson Keon sa from Michigan we already know how we most of us feel about Michigan and this whole Conor Stalin but he was well Open Arms Kaden Proctor I wish that he could have played you know but maybe it's a good thing that he didn't get in there I don't know I think things happen for a reason so hopefully he'll be good to go I'm not sure what the injury is for him but um overall I would say uh you know just the fact that we showed up a full four quarters the wide receivers I wish that we could have seen I would have liked to have seen Caleb Odin more I you know I'm glad to see Kobe Prince we know that he's good at you know Emanuel Henderson Jr so I feel like the receiver core I was so happy to see in the first half uh the tip the uh type formation that we were running where we had I think Robbie UTS and CJ depri and I don't know why we didn't we did it a little bit last year but I can definitely see a in the play calling and a lot of times you see players be a little bit more comfortable when they have better coaches and people don't like to talk of course the players can't necessarily say that but you do tend to see them you know execute at a higher level when they feel more comfortable with the plays that are being called so I think this kind of just goes back to the Jamarcus Shepherds of the world the Nick sheridans all of these guys Kan wack all of them coach the boor of course uh Freddy roach gpy all of them it goes back and it says a lot about them and what they've been able to do in such a short period of time so kudos to them I'm excited we have a bright future ahead of us now CI I think during our time over at the facility during a day we all had an opportunity to speak to different players um I spoke a little bit to Red Morgan I think you speak you spoke to him a little bit more than I had an opportunity to and when I spoke to him he was a a young man that was not talking like a 18yar old teenager he he was he was he was speaking with confidence he was speaking with maturity that you quite honestly just don't find with someone his age but he kind of knows the assignment you see him on the field tonight he played like he was a second or third year player and there were times where he may have messed up a little bit but his ability to recover and still impact a play was so impressive and and then the times where he just absolutely dominated it was very apparent I was really excited to see him flash across the screen sever time tonight what was your overall take before we pass it back up to Dan as far as Red's contribution and then kind of going back to your conversation with him yeah I just remember when we were in the facility uh for a day and he was getting uh looked at and just kind of you know doing the the physical stuff that they like to do but I remember I I cut my eyes and I said what's up Brad he's like hey how you doing just smiling just just at ease you know you would think you would think a lot of times you know the freshmen the the newbies they kind of feel a little you know uh you just you just never know but he you would almost think that he had been at Alabama for a couple years and his spot was solidified at that point you know and he I asked myself you ready he's like oh I'm ready and I remember uh Jon Pierre as well which is I think this is his second year but just all the guys that were in that room that you could tell even then like that's why I think uh you know we all feel some type of way with Coach saan retiring of course but the timing of when he retired that's why it's so important because it allowed coaster board to get in of course we had to kind of you know get guys out and get some new ones in but I think it it gave us time to build that trust amongst the players to where like you said that's why you see a red Morgan get right back up because I believe there was a penalty called on him like a pass interference or something he didn't let that affect his game because he knows what he's about you know and you want to see that confidence with the with the freshman and I think that that speaks to the guys who had already been there the Juniors the seniors The deine Smiths the Malachi Moors all of them so shout out to them I'm excited if y'all if y'all aren't convinced yet then y' I need to rewatch that game because I'm ready for the Natty that's all I can say I love the way you closed that out Petty we move the Baton to you what were your positives from this game yeah can't add much more than than Missi added uh just the the dominance of the offensive line if the running game can do I mean if if they can do that all year like you said it looked like Formby kind of established it but the guys that outside of you know an erant snap or two um which I know gave everybody or like PTSD we'll get to that later yeah scared everybody but outside of that the offensive line was dominant in in the Run game um in the few opportunities that milro did have to throw he made the passes um so that I was that I was it was a positive Takeaway on you know every throw that that he needed to make tonight or it was there um it's just this offense man this offense has it's got some serious potential man it's it's it's scary how good this offense can be because it all right one and another positive takeaway this was a vanilla game guys we didn't we didn't we didn't dig very deep into the Playbook but what we did do was show a good mix of plays I love the mix of the play calling again we didn't get to see all the exoticness of what dor and Sheridan are going to pull out but we did get to see the balance of how they're going to do it and I love that aspect love it love it Dan the man positive takeaways and it's funny all throughout the offseason a lot of the names we've been saying tonight you've been saying all along so uh first of all praise to you Dan for for telling us the truth we should have uh let it sink in a little bit better but nonetheless we're here tell me your positive takeaways from tonight man definitely you know I'm G start with you know the big play capability I mean from from several different people you know the the running backs you know they they look explosive especially Jam Miller uh you know Justice Haynes you know we got home run hitters you know even Kevin Riley got in and you know you know I saw a little juice hold hold hold on Dan tell the people how many running backs we played tonight five five well yeah we played five from the running back but we got a few running back playing receiver you know but you know but yeah we played five running backs tonight you know but uh and number one got a carry yeah you know you hey you you want to count jayen mil say number four counts I guess you want to throw that in there as well yeah exactly that what I was saying but yeah I mean we we have some home run hitters we we truly do you know we got we got explosive you know receivers we got explosive tight ends we got explosive running back we got big play capability even on the defensive side of the ball you know but uh you know hell of a game from Keon Sab you know uh you know red Morgan you know it's us usual you know five to seven players you know on defense but you know um it it was it was a big game big game overall I was very impressed you know the B but don't break defense you know especially in the Red Zone know ability to get turnovers I think we'll see a lot more turnovers this year compared to years pass because you know we'll be playing a lot more zone so you know uh and red Morgan you know as a freshman we we saw we saw the same thing from terion Arnold you know a couple of years ago when he was growing up you know his Trail technique you know it's impressive you know for a freshman true freshman you know we we we watched terion Arnold grow up the same way as I think we seen red Morgan so you know I I was quite impressive as you should be as far as my positive takeaway Patty you already kind of of jumped on it and that's Jaylen milro he's been the talk of the All Season just how well will he Elevate under kin deor tutelage and we've heard the Rumblings throughout leading up offseason fall camp scrimmaging that he is not the same guy he was last year and from what we saw tonight honestly he's not that same player yeah 79 200 yards three touchdowns 10 rushes 79 yards another two touchdowns but seeing his Improvement of as a passer was just a thing of beauty and it's something we've been waiting on for so long he was so patient tonight and he was going through all his reads you saw his eyes going here here here he wasn't trying to rush anything he wasn't panicking he had confidence in his ability but he also had confidence in his offensive line and his Playmakers his throws were on time play receivers were not having to come back the ball receivers not having to stop and and wait for the ball and take off he was hitting them they were gone do I need to remind anybody in the audience of what Ryan Williams did twice and then also the the throwing he did the the throw to Kendrick law that he could have easily taken for a couple more yards instead he turns to the side drills it hits Kendrick law and Kendrick law explodes out of a cannon to the end zone and then that second touchdown throw to Ryan Williams that was a hell of a throw by Jaylen milro it was on a rope really impressed with what Jaylen milro was able to do tonight and I'm excited for a game two version of Jaylen milro so let's go to the other side of this coin the not so positive takeaways I'll let Petty start this one out then we'll go down to Dan and let's see she rounded out uh penalties you got to clean that up I mean you know you look out of the gate and they don't have any and you've got what four in the first couple M minut you know first five I can't seem like first quarter so you just got to clean that up there a lot of pre- snap penalties just that was a little sloppier I know I kind of was harping on how clean of a transition it was which the game was 63 nothing come on man this is nitpicking [ __ ] um and maybe getting off the field a little better on third at times uh kind of got a lag there it you know um Mid part of the game and the defense you know kind of but still I mean we're pressuring Finley all night this is nitpicking but get off the field on third clean up the penalties and um move on and get better against USF no doubt we got a little bit of get back for them Dan you're not so positive takeaways yeah definitely the the penalties the drive Killers you know uh the drive extenders you on defense uh and also you know let's let's work on you know providing a cleaner pocket you know let's clean a little bit of that up you know but overall you know the offensive line played tremendous but you know just stuff you want to see clean up y all want to seek Perfection but you know I I'm you know give it to them they played a very good game overall I I give them a a you know but uh let's clean up this you know the the pocket you know uh Elijah pritchet you know he's he slipped on a little speed rush you know just got to get come out your set better you know find a balance but uh you know overall you know I I think you know jayen Miro had time you know and uh he was very efficient you know very efficient seven nine you can't get much more efficient that 79 200 yards you know you take that all day you know but uh those are the two things without doubt let me get our super chat before we let C she take the mic and it kind of ties in with what you just said thank you Jason Heywood $5 I hope Kaden proter is okay we need his presence Wan Williams is him RTR and honestly Dan I think the the the problems we had initially with the pocket not being so clean was because of not having Kaden Proctor in there I think the initial shock of him coming out of the game just kind of threw everyone's chemistry off and uh once that initial shock wore off and you saw you saw things start to kind of glue together and they played with more confidence they were more dominant and they they started to figure things out and you saw a better offensive line but with a Kaden Proctor in there you're going to see a lot more dominance up front so yeah absolutely thank you so much again Jason SEI you're not so positive takeaways yeah I mean uh I'm not going to say that we were perfect but it's really not a lot because I mean it seems like the issues that we had you know the the penalties and the you know the bad snaps and it was just it was just a couple of them but it seemed like it was mostly mental uh I would imagine I I wouldn't say that you know it's a discipline issue just yet like we saw last year um I I can definitely see a difference in how the coaching uh has helped so honestly I would say that that's the biggest thing is just because I feel like if we tightened that up we would have seen a lot more consistency early on from the offensive side um like we did with the defensive side I mean the defensive side they played as a complete unit you know I would say for pretty much the entire game um I just want to make sure that you know you see like the Georges of the world with you know uh Frasier and etan when he's back you know so I just want to make sure that we can we got to get in Finley I wish that we could have gotten in his face even more because I want I want us I want us to be ready for that because I feel like once we play Georgia with Carson Beck we we need to be practicing that so whatever that looks like whatever they need to be doing in the next you know week or two we definitely need to uh be prepared but other than that I just just say the mental yeah absolutely I think a lot of the mental areas you're speaking about came from the players who were very young who were getting that that first time exposure on a big stage they weren't just quite ready for prime time but when they did settle down you saw a difference and and then they weren't having those mental errors that uh we saw in the earlier part of the game you know not being in the right position or missing tackles as several people already pointed out in our live chat uh for me the not so positives was the defense gave up a 21pl drive and allowed Western Kentucky to hold the ball for nearly 10 minutes ultimately they came away with nothing but that's 10 minutes taken away from our offense getting those valuable reps that needed but I also want to go back to what I just said in that series there is heavy rotation you saw a lot of young guys in there like Brayson hubard Z meny and a lot of other players who normally weren't in the lineup this early in a game so they were getting their feet wet and it's it's not really a negative because I think it's a valuable learning experience and with this season if we are going to the playoffs we have to have depth depth is so key right now they that's why you're seeing a lot of rotation on both sides of the ball they're getting those valuable reps and we're also finding the right fits I just want to assure everyone in our chat I I saw some of the Skies falling mentality folks in here once it all comes together Alabama's going to be a force to deal with anyone want to comment on that I mean it is look there's a lot to the sky is Fallen it was 63 to nothing I mean [ __ ] we better get we got to get I mean if you can't do better than that I mean it should have easily been 147 to nothing with negative 37 rushing yards 27 sacks um four pick sixes I mean it's 63 to nothing guys there's it's first game of a new coaching era there's but but but another perspective to look at it though look at the PE look at the teams that are ranked ahead of us right and and how have they performed because if you because you can't be so hard on Alabama I know that we have our standard but look at the ones that are ranked ahead of us aside from Texas you know look at Oregon for example you know look at how Ohio State they had a very slow start Georgia had a very so so which Georgia played Clemson but you know I just think she'll know though out of the game well C she you're absolutely right Wisconsin last night had a hard time with Western Michigan by the way the head coach of Western Michigan Lance Taylor built by Bama so we understand why Wisconsin had a hard time against Central Michigan but Michigan finally pulls away 30 to 10 but that what that was a close contest majority of the game and Oregon struggle with FCS Idaho they they pull out a 10-point victory and again that was late this is just the first game rust get it out of your system work on the the the the the negatives and you don't really see a a team right now like somebody said in the chat if a team is peing right now you got a problem so you got it's a process it's called long-term storytelling for those who watch wrestling you'll understand what that means just let it play out in the right time and once it all comes together you're gonna go back to this episode and you hopefully will give us our flowers at least I I think we deserve that I don't know about y'all but all right let's turn to how we feel about where Alabama is right now Bama going forward after what you saw tonight how do we feel going into USF now SEI we've talked about this leading up to this game and even talked about planning for your show next week USF has been talking a little trash and I know you like to go after the folks who like to talk a little bit trash so I think that you're the best person to lead this off so if you would kindly take this to Baton from me how do you feel going into USF what's your comfort level what do you want to see next week USF would be lucky to get seven points they would be lucky to get seven points I know their head coach is it Alex goes goes y I know he was you know he made some little passive aggressive remarks a few weeks ago well Alabama's playing us sir you're playing Alabama and you're welcome like don't get me started you know last year the the only reason why it well we all know the only reason why I played out the way it did is because of all the changes you know QB changes and all that but whatever but I honestly like I said USF would be lucky to get seven and I and I stand on that I I need to I need to see I need to see would they have this year compared to next year because even looking at defense our defense this year what we saw tonight our defense didn't play like that last year I mean I didn't feel like we we didn't play a full four quarters every game and we didn't play a full four quarters in that game so my thing is that you know we could very well come out of that with like a 42-3 40 42 to7 that could be another shutout because this game tonight gave us an opportunity to see you know like the Tai Simpsons put him in there have him and you know milro in there at the same time on a couple plays Ty Simpson we see what he can do Dylan lonan like it's no questions there but I just would like to see us you know solidify some of the the receivers and I I want to see more of what we're going to do with them because Caleb Odum you have to know how to use a player like him especially with his size you know what I mean the CJ depri of the world really good at blocking can make good plays you have to know when to use these guys so I just think that you know if if the coaching is as good as we believe they are and I definitely believe they're better than last year then I mean USF they ain't doing nothing in exclusive man you have one of your Crimson Dynasty fans here in the chat SE she Christian Hughes it's time for a classic SE she rant well I don't want to take up the whole show so maybe if we have time at the end then look if somebody talking slick in them comments and I thought I saw one person but I was like you know what I'm gonna stay muted and then we'll we'll check that later so your your biggest fan is here in the chat and that's Chris Williams did did Auburn lose to New Mexico state today I think they played uh Hogwarts today yeah okay okay and they they but they lost I'm just win I tell you what folks if you want to hear a classic CI rant especially when it comes to USF tune in to Crimson Dynasty next Wednesday night 6:30 p.m. central 7:30 p.m. Eastern right here on this channel you will definitely be satisfied Daniel this let's move it to you sir you're never short of words Bama going forward how do you feel going into USF where's your comfort level a lot well I was at the game last year as if people don't know I live in Tempa was pretty damn excited about that one I was like man get to go watch a game in Ray J The Tide is in it's gonna be awesome and it's gonna be kind of you know get to see I I even made the comment get to see the backups get some some some play in time today that was uh not the case it and I don't know I if we've forgotten yet but that was probably one of the weirdest games in the Sabin era that came there in his last year where he almost treated it like a preseason game where he takes a starting quarterback out and and and runs the backups to see who's the best backup and then we never even saw milro it was honestly the the the oddest game for me in the whole Sabin era even including you know the first season which I I give a wash but so yeah that was a weird game last year I think it still looms over and I I think milro and what we saw tonight the the team's going to be kind of excited to get another shot at this team because look that was kind of held over the team's head for the rest of the season was how ugly that USF game was and then Texas like does this team really have it so yeah I think there's going to be a little bit you know a lot of times you don't take you know hard to get a chip on your shoulder about you know a team that you should beat by 30 points but I have a good feeling they're going to have one going into this so don don't worry buddy you're going to get a fired up Tide next week and I think we're going to kick a little ass so be all right I'm all for that Dan you're the star of the show what you say carries a lot of weight so tell us how you feel going into USF after tonight yeah I agree 100% you know USF they don't have any live reps against jayen milro you know it's crazy you know but uh yeah you you go into this game hey you know with a chip on your shoulder you know you're baming you're playing at home hey this team kind of you know took it to us and they think they they they think they feeling confidence coming into Brian Denny Stadium it is up to us you know to change their impression you know so you know you want to come out physically you want to hit them in the mouth with the run you want to run the ball down their throat to they sick of it you know you uh we always going to have the big play capability there but you know uh this is a game you want to treat like a loss last year like a Revenge game you know you want to go in there with that chip on your shoulder you know you want to get them fter you want to remind them you know this team play within seven seven points of us you know and we want we want to prove to America that you know they this is a different B you know they they they don't belong on the field with us you know it's up to us to show it to them I'm looking forward to that and I like the attitude of this team right now the attitude we're seeing here already it it just wasn't there the majority of last season it took five or six games for them to finally kind of decide you know what we're Bama and we need to start showing that we're Bama these guys already got it man the defense tonight man totally different these guys are flying around they were wreaking havoc they made TJ Finley regret to come on the field let alone make stupid comments I'm excited about what we're going to bring on to the field next week and if you don't think they're already motivated especially with all the trash talking we're dedicating the field to Nick sa next week if you can't get up for that then something's terribly wrong with you but this group's different they got different mentality they're a true team the the effort is there on every single play if they miss a tackle or something it's not because they were half-assing they were going full speed I I even look at the wide receivers no we didn't see a lot tonight in terms of catching the ball but if you watch how they were just uh selflessly blocking for runners and they weren't halfway doing it they were putting their whole body and their whole Force into what they were doing and there was a great difference I I love I love that atmosphere I love these kids and we had the white ones here Jaden Robert said in the offseason the right ones left and the ones who need to be here stayed here and we're going to see the the fruit of that so that's how I feel going into USF so let well I tell you what before we go to the MVPs our MVPs I think Mark rage sumed up pretty nicely wow I thought there was not much more we could ask for in the first game very well said very well said all right so now folks I hope you already have it figured out but we're gonna go to our players of the game and you know what if it's the same as the other person on this panel say it anyway that's your guy SEI we'll start with you then we'll go to Dan and then Petty and I will finish it up all right so on the offensive side number one forever number one Ryan Williams this guy I mean he's he's Mr Alabama fores and Ryan Williams hands down but I would have to also select uh Jaylen milroe I would select both of them from the offense I feel like uh Jaylen milro the Poise that he had I think that that's something we we saw him a bit rattled uh a lot throughout last year and I think a lot of it had to do with our loss against Texas at home you know and it took some time for him to get back in that Rhythm but he he seemed uh pretty uh comfortable and confident in this game and I think a lot of it had to do with not just his teammates but also the coaches I I think the coaches helped you know build up his confidence on the defensive side hands down Keon Sab and then also red Morgan so I have two on both sides I said it on Crimson Dynasty like Justin mentioned be sure to tune in every Wednesday I said that the freshman and the transfers they're going to show up big this season not just tonight throughout the season would you say that the transfers this year understand what it means to play for Bama because I feel like in recent memory a lot of them think they get it they they make those great posts on Instagram to get all the little the attention right but do they truly understand the culture of Bama I feel like these guys do I feel like I feel like they do but I think it has to do with the adversity that the team faced early this year when coach sa retired with all the chatter that happened all the guys that left you got all these recruits that's you know decommitting recommitting all this commotion I think that once these transfers like the demani Jackson of the World when they said you know what I'm gonna go to Alabama I believe that the team was able to kind of just come together as a group and even share their experiences that they had I think that's one thing that maybe wasn't there as much last year just because of the that layer of adversity where the guys can actually come together and say hey this is what Alabama is and this is what the expectation is because that had to be drilled in the coach D'Or as well and some of those coaches too so I think that uh I I think that they have it I think if you but I think it's individual because if you have a Winner's mentality you're not gonna come to Alabama if you don't have a Winner's mentality there are plenty of guys who could have transferred to Alabama there are plenty of guys Mr Peter Woods who chose Clemson over Alabama and from Birmingham and they only scored three point now he had a good game against Georgia today but I'm just saying that there's a certain mentality and there's a certain expectation and if you know you know and if you don't you don't come to Alabama so the ones that transfering in they knew what that expectation was and they measured up tonight I love that there you go Dan tonight look I'm excited and also and also got the ghost of your brother Chris on that uh uh picking the players of the game oh yeah don't know if you ever ask Chris he's never gonna give just one he's gonna get right right I mean but how do you pick one with what we saw tonight because I was gonna pick the tryi I'm just look I agree with you I'm having a hard time with both of them too so I I think both picks were good I just had to give you a hard time because Chris his brother does that to us does it to he'll he'll give 12 players when when we have topics like this [Laughter] we love you Chris Dan you're players of the game sir yeah definitely on the offensive side you know J jayen milro was 7 to n for 200 yards you know but 129 of those yards went to number two the Ryan that is my MVP that g there we go I mean wow I mean wow wow wow on the defensive side you got to go with Keon side you know um impressive you know he's a gambler you know we want to watch out for that you know team's going to you know try to get him on the double move so you know you got to watch out for it but I love the aggressiveness from him you know and the he his his little bait technique but uh those are my two on each side of the ball love them Petty who you got well I'm gonna go with nro I I'm gonna agree with y'all on that but Mark this down mark this down hey man never always been on Team milro I said I wanted him to see I wanted to see him get better at things and I saw a lot of that tonight so I was really excited about that I mean look everybody's got growth nobody's hit a ceiling and that includes Mr milro I know he was great last year but there was things to improve on and early litus test and I know it was many passes but man they really look good tonight so you got to give it to milro he led the team man he he did what he was supposed to do and he with the opportunity he's had he took advantage and was the most outstanding player to me on the offense and of course course Ryan stood out but I mean yeah Keon I was going to go with that I don't you know he is he had the two picks but I'm gonna go with LT Overton a lot of times those interceptions go due to the defensive pressure put on the quarterback from the defensive front and I think LT Overton caused absolute Havoc tonight which made the opportunities for guys like Sab to have such an excellent night which look Sab was W boy gotta be excited about that guy but man LT Overton if you ain't excited about that Beast that you know nice to have another guy just causing hell in the back field so um love you love both y'all's picks and so I couldn't only only one I could possibly ad would be LT he really he really popped to me tonight absolutely I think we should send a fruit basket to Jimbo Fisher for that yeah man man for me again it's hard to pick it's hard to pick I had to go adjus his hands on the offensive side of the ball I was waiting for him just to become unglued he only had four four carries tonight but he made them very meaningful and he shot out of a cannon on one of those for 85 yards and a touchdown and folks that's not where it's going to stop you're gonna see a lot more of that throughout the season but on the defensive side of the ball yeah I could say LT I really was impressed with him but then I gotta go for with a veteran Jihad Campbell he was so disruptive and he was literally in on every single play this version of him he kind of looks like a first rounder already I I don't want to go ahead and put that on right now and I know it's game one so I'm kind of going to hold back a little bit but nonetheless I was very impressed with what we saw tonight and I cannot wait for next week all right before we get out of here I remind everybody tomorrow night Sunday night talking Bama with Josh chucker Justin JB Baines and Marshall Bean that's going to be at 700 P p.m Central 8:00 p.m. Eastern right here on this channel they're going to give their reactions to this game especially 24 hours after it happened allows them to kind of digest things a little bit more and kind of figure things out and maybe even calm down with some of the things that uh may be woring y'all and hopefully it can help some of y'all calm down just a little bit too but 63 to nothing guys before we go let's go around the room and let's tell everybody how they can find us on social media but more importantly y'all have shows and they're really good ones so let's go ahead and pop those Shi start out with what you got and then we'll go to Petty and then let Dan talk to the people I think you said my name backwards see cheesy yeah I was fighting back a sneeze okay I apologize no no no remember I I am from Mississippi so okay okay it's hard to say it's hard to say backward now that I try she EAS it's lot easier the right way it's pronounced like the letter c c she but he says she I'm like who no no no so uh as Justin mentioned I have uh the Crimson Dynasty every Wednesday night 6:30 Central Standard Time 7:30 Eastern Standard Time We do things a little differently though because when the season starts we like to do a really good breakdown analysis of the opponent we did that a lot last year and we like and Dan he's actually one of my co-hosts there so be sure to check that out because he knows a lot of the current guys the new guys the guys on other teams so and I think that you cannot properly strategize to win if you don't understand your component and so that's what we like to tackle every Wednesday night here on the B Stander network but it's called Crimson Dynasty and you can find me on uh Instagram at Beauty ofor intelligence and it is that long you have to flash that across the screen for him without doubt all right Petty you got some stuff you're on a lot of stuff actually yeah we've got we've got a few thing added a few things to the pot this week uh um I've got a show on Monday nights with Gerald smoke Dixon and Hannah Stevens called the opening kick where we boy I'm gonna this week I'm gonna there's going to be some receipts somebody picked Virginia Tech as the sleeper of the ACC so I'm going to have to I'm going to have to answer to that because they lost a flipping Vanderbilt but no I've got to show the opening kick we talk uh the big picture the the road to the playoffs the big games coming up we'll have reactions this weekend it's probably going to be over you know first week over reactions and then on Tuesday night we've got the final whistle right after the flagship the Bama standard an hour later at uh 8 central 9 Eastern with my man Dan James down there got Lucian Graves we got Chris James Matt cadell Tai Hayes it's the whole crew we come on and we've got all kind of segments on the island with Matt and Chris where they're gonna break down some good stuff but we we'll be there to be talking about USF breaking down all the kind of good stuff but then again on Friday nights we got the Red Zone going into the uh weekend where we talk a little bit gambling talk you know upset alert type stuff however this Friday may be a little different because I think we're supposed to be at the Bryant Museum so I doubt we'll be doing a show this Friday so catch it again on the on on the flip side but yeah got a lot going on and you can catch me on Twitter at Petty Danel and the same on Facebook it's Petty p y hey Don Parker we weren't picking on you I just want we love you D do love you Don you're one of our best fans and and we thank you for everything that you do especially on Crimson Dynasty I think you're the number one fan aside from Jimmy clay what would you say that see she's pretty fair yeah yeah I would say he also purchased one of our shirts so oh wow yeah he purchased one of the shirts yeah you know know and look Don don't give Don a hard time he's been a b fan a long ass time he's got expectation he's got his standard that he expects tonight and hopefully hopefully Don will get it fixed up next week in D'Or We Trust right now we we'll sh things up trust me Dan you got a lot that you're a part of yes yes I mean p Petty may be surpassing me now pett is trying to set the standard now but I don't know about that every Tuesday night you know the final whistle you know I would I mean my hilarious cast you know yeah then from the beasts of Tuesday nights you go to the beauties of Wednesday Dy with CI pay and Hannah Stevens you know love love the I mean uh catch me on Twitter X you know at theal whistle Dan you catch me on uh Instagram Dan James the 4th you know catch me on the Bama postgame show right here everything right here it starts right here on the Bama standard Network you want to see this beautiful face you got to tune in to the B standard Network I'm I'm get my face and plant it on t-shirt we'll sell some of those we just need to get your face on your Instagram profile because you still do not have a profile picture tell you whatre screenshot I'm G stand still tell you what fans to help Dan out I want y'all to send what he needs to use as his profile picture for his Instagram you can email that too Justin Riley atthe bander dcom and the winner will go on Dan's Instagram profile pick so there you go a a little bit of homework for y'all so as far as me listen next week we're gonna be doing the things big for the Bama standard the flagship show 6 PM Central 7 PM Eastern Tuesday night get Marvin constants reactions did the defense actually please him you know that he's hard to plead so if you want the real truth you want the real reaction as to how well we did tonight or maybe not so much he's going to let you know so definitely tune in then to get his reaction we're going to talk a little bit of Western Kentucky and then we're gonna move on to USF and our guest next Tuesday night is G be former Alabama defensive end Wallace gilberry he was there for the schula era and the start of the Sabin era if you're not familiar with him please jump on with us and get to know him he's got a tremendous story he was a player that virtually no one wanted coming out of high school when he came to Alabama in one of the worst times in program history and he left being an all SEC player and being in the NFL for I think it was around nine or 10 years so you definitely want to see what he's about and then get all the wonderful views from guys like Steve Brown the star of our show and then and Marvin constant but also yall have plenty of options for great shows they're right here on this panel they told you about it if you haven't tuned into those make it a point to next week but listen first game 63 to nothing pretty impressive y'all thank you so much to everyone who is with us and if you're watching the replay let us know what you think if there's something we need to go over we'll definitely go over it in our shows and also just uh if you would on the way out hit that like And subscribe button oh yeah till next week roll tight everyone I think Dan had something oh oh oh sorry the star had something if y'all heard this little funny noise going off Chris James wanted me and D Parker this is this for YouTube Chris James wanted me to tell y'all you know to remind y'all that he was the only one to pick Notre Dame and we gave we gave him we gave him a hard time oh my already already to beat Texas A&M congrats so he wanted to let everybody know that the one that was right on the panel so there you go little brother he is such a pck me girl [Laughter] anyway thank y'all again and we'll see you next week Roll Tide Blitz Bama Blitz [Music]
