and just you know was checking on me every step of the way making sure I was okay and mentally focused um so can't thank them enough and you know everything everything went well that make it even bigger for you to be out there today you know just after going through that and then coming back and you know seeing how much you were utiliz in this game today yeah because I think it puts a lot into perspective about you know like how how fast life can change and how things can happen um so to be able to still be you know healthy and you know be able to come out here and play the game that I love to play um you know stuff I've been working hard for um just very thankful for that so you know can't can't say that enough how did you feel on that opening drive to be the guy to kind of finish off it was a pretty productive for you guys that touchdown yeah I mean it was great um I feel like in those situations you know I got to get in there you know just me with my stat and my frame um me being a bigger back it's like I take those personal so um I was actually mad I didn't get in on the first one I feel like I don't need two times to try like you know so you know I definitely had to get in second one but it worked out is that part of what you got what you kind of understand like your role will be for this team year especially like down near the go kind of being that power guy to sort of finish off tries like that I really don't know to be honest um I mean right now they got me doing a little bit of everything we mix all everybody mix in and do a little bit of everything so whatever my role is I feel like I'll be effective in my role um and do everything I can to help the team for sure can you kind of walk us through that that day at the green what do you remember what what was that like yeah I mean I mean I remember the whole thing um it was just you know we was just out there working hard getting some good work in and um I went to make initial contact we was doing some P rushes I went to make contact UM with my head down and pretty much it kind of jammed and went down like my spine area and uh I just felt like a sharp pain and uh once I let them know and they kind of felt around and felt where the pain was at they just wanted to be extra cautious about everything and um you know like I said I was in I was in some pain initially so we just wanted to go make sure everything was good um and like I was telling him I was scared I was nervous um but they kept me they kept me calm and they just made sure that I was uh you know I knew that uh that everything was just kind of precautionary um they had already checked and make sure I was able to move everything and everything like that but they just didn't know if I would have like I guess a later symptom maybe start going numb or have some numbness later on so we just checked all the boxes and I appreciate that them for that kind of being there it all felt so surre for us to watch going through it but I mean is that a good word to describe it for you yeah everything kind of escalating yeah no doubt I never even flew on a helicopter before so so to be on the helicopter in that type of situation in that moment it was crazy um and it was even more crazy because my family back home you know they kind of saw everything and you know it took a little minute for everybody to kind of reach out to them let them know everything was okay so they were panicking and calling me and texting me and stuff so I'm just glad everything worked out very blessed very thankful to still be here and be able to do what I love to do did that mean a little B more to you tonight then knowing that you kind of said like that at that moment to put life in perspective and knowing that things can change it it feel good just kind of knowing you know I still at to do this thing and be out here kind of soak that in a little bit tonight yeah no doubt I mean I'm I'm thankful to be able to walk I mean you know it a even just playing football I I'm I'm thankful to just be here be alive be able to be myself you know what I mean and like I say things happen so fast in life you know you got to be thankful for you know every moment every every day every every situation you get you know you got to be thankful for for it and you know try to do the best things you can while you here even though you said you know you knew it was precaution and everything you had is there something in the back of your mind that just going through the process like something yeah no definitely definitely um because like at the end of day I've never been in the situation like that and I was having pain um so you know I didn't like yeah I was able to move everything but I didn't know if I fractur something or something happened or if I could have a like symptoms later on down the line so it was just I definitely was nervous but like I said we checked every box we did everything got everything looked at and you know they handled it the right way like I said I thank thankful for that you didn't have any residuals no yeah everything's good thank you
