Jordan Love Film Review (All TDs) with Kurt Benkert 🎬

Jordan love and the Green Bay Packers have an exciting year ahead they're returning one of the youngest teams in the NFL after a super deep playoff run they have a lot of new pieces that they added new defensive coordinator and they are going to get better at receiver all those guys were young last year they grew a lot they got better as the season progressed and now they're going to hit the ground running a little bit sooner this year they're not going to take 8 to n weeks to figure it out they're going to be competitive from day one and I'm excited to see how this plays out with that I thought there's no better way than to go and look back at Jordan Love's touchdowns from last year all of his passing touchdowns and see how this team evolved how the Red Zone plans evolved and what did they become by the time the season ended because you saw promise early but they weren't pulling it together and now you'll be able to see through this whole entire run through how they got to where they were and what you should be excited about for this new campaign this is one of my favorite plays this one is the very first touchdown of the year I believe for Jordan and we have a little flat where normally he seams in breaks out to the corner but he's going to cross face on a basic and that's kind of what you can see he's opening up because he's expecting have to go that way I love that Jordan climbs the pocket gets comfortable and trusts his guy to go make a play and I love the ball placement here big face you're going to see a lot of Romeo dobs in this film and then I think you're going to see a lot of Romeo dobs in this next season coming up he's a massive Red Zone Target watch from this angle drops back first hitch goes to reset instead of scrambling keeps his eyes down field nice easy touchdown but I love the scheme I love how they're using dos down there let's get to another one now look this one's great so they're playing 11 plug so 1 2 3 4 man up man up he's man on man on the running back with outside leverage he's playing outside leverage on the running back because he has a plugger inside Jordan love knows this he knows that if he can get this plugger to go here with his eyes then he's going to have a Texas route with great leverage so watch how he plays this out goes gets his hitch in flips his eyes back immediately great ball placement and they're off and running that's just understanding the nuances of the game understanding coverages understanding how to manipulate Defenders with your eyes that's the next level that Jordan love has been taking in this past season that the guys early on weren't ready to meet him there again drops Back Eyes down the middle of the field pulls this way slightly see the stripe of his helmet going that way he's looking up the underneath Crosser they like to run post under a lot gets his eyes right back on the Texas money gets his guy the ball in space and he's out of there Aaron Jones baby rip now look let's get to another one now we got a different way to score in the red zone Romeo dobs common theme oneon-one heavy box this is basically a run alert option it's going to be jab or Duo alert fade and the fact that he and him have such a great Rapport money money Dome top Romeo dobs has some of the sneakiest hands in the league he has aggressive hands catches well in traffic some of the catches he made last year were bizarre and he's going to do it again this year and Jordan love doesn't even have to be perfect but that's a perfect ball and I love love watching dos play football let's get to another one quick motion now you got another way to score in the Red Zone Jet Sweep with a little toss pass jayen Reed another name that started popping up this year went on he's going to have a nice year I think with this Packers offense again you don't necessarily know who's going to get the ball you know certain guys are going to get schemed up to do certain things but they have a lot of different ways to score and they have a lot of selfless guys on that team I really enjoy watching them play football with the ability to spread the ball around I think they're going to be really tough to stop and I also think having a consistent Run game is going to change a lot for them in a good way now we got play action here drops back he's got a dagger concept so a deep through safety drives he's got a deep in Ball's already out as he's breaking going to be caught around the hash perfect placement West Coast scheme deep in and Wix is going to do the rest another problem Wix is a problem his separation that he was able to create versus Man coverage last year the amount of routes that he won versus Man coverage was insane play action 1 2 3 5 six seven second hitch balls out man up makes one makes two Miss like Wix is a big dude man they've got dogs at receiver shout out to the GM over there Goot they found guys and brought them in and they didn't have to use many draft piics to get him now here we go what do we see here one-onone run alert I bet he throws the fade if not they're going to have a play action or something like that play action that's fine again o I like that see how he gets open on this ooh a little block release they had been having him block him the whole game on these Duos and Jabs and now they're going to get with a block release like a little slip pass 20 gets his eyes in the back field Jordan great ball placement easy touchdown Jaden Reed again easy as you can see man this offense has a lot of different ways to score and for a guy like Jordan who also can play to different styles he can play in Rhythm he can play off platform like I just think they're really hard to stop the only people that can stop them in my opinion is themselves if they're off that day now what we got here press man fade Romeo dos third down and looks like third and three they're playing Zone everywhere else but they're oneon-one on the backside with no safety help and Jordan sees it back shoulder Up and Away Romeo dobs he does a great job of waiting until the last minute with late hands and he's got the ability to contort his body so that he can catch footballs that are outside of normal people's radius at the last second so it's just almost impossible to defend now we got another run alert up so again it's just all this is just giving Jordan the option is the Box heavy yes they have more people in here than we can block okay so we got two and two out here what concept do we have do we have a little pick play to the flat do we have a little Slant with a corner like do we have a fake pick slant fake under out like what are we running we got a lot of different concepts that we can run and they start showing the more complex ones late in the year they build on them that's how they do it so right here you just have a little stutter pick flat and they completely botched It Wide Open and again you see them down in the Red Zone man they can do a lot they can scheme things up they can win one-on ones they can run the ball which we have not seen because this is a passing clip but there's a lot they can do if you guys are play action first hitch scrambles up this one was wild he wasn't ready to throw it but he was able to get enough on it so that Romeo could go make a play little sketchy pass but he was going to go scramble and saw him late this view you can see how kind of crazy this was but in all reality this was a wide open TouchDown that Jordan made a little bit sketchier than he should have that was kind of a hell of a throw though let's be honest all things considered it was a sketchy throw but it was a hell of a throw to get rid of the ball like that with somebody fading left can't get all of it on it and dobs though 50/50 balls for Romeo dobs he's not going to let you get intercepted often I promise you that he is going to rip that thing out and make a play now here we go looks like we got another run alert type deal either going to be play action or run alert run alert it's a run they got 2 on2 he's not wide enough on the edge and we got lucky but it should have been a touchdown the first time so the cool thing with these is like a lot of teams will call a run play down here and then if they don't get it then they'll call a a pass the Packers love these run alerts because they're going to let Jordan love make the decision time and time again if it's not a good run look screw it he's going to throw it even when the guy in his look at this dude makes him jump sidearms it inside it worked out should have been caught the first time but there's just a common theme here man a lot of This falls on Jordan Love's plate again loaded box I'd imagine we're going up here I don't remember this play I've not watched this uh cut up yet yep easy look so we said fake the pick go out he's going to wrap in 212 they're trying to bracket it in and out he goes and collects him outside now he's got to be responsible then he's going to pass it off and we're going to get an easy one and Romeo dos aggressive hands again just in case I love the amount of stolen touchdowns down here in the past game when they're on the one yard line I love it now let's go it's going to rotate down probably go one high no they're going too high perfect this was a great play and now you're going to get your tight ends involved in the scheme you're going to pump the screen throw the tight end release down the middle of the field easy touchdown like it's really cool because it's not just like it's not just guys whooping people oneon-one a lot of it is schemed up a lot of it is taking what the defense is giving them schematically they're not really doing anything right now that's crazy they're just operating their offense and that is really encouraging for consistency now later in the year you started seeing them popping off with some crazy plays and that's what allowed them to go deep on that playoff run but they started clipping more consistently on some of these routine plays and it's just impressive man now look earlier in the year first game of the week remember we had the flat route with the seam up basic now they have the seam up corner and look at this ball by Jordan look at when he threw this look at when this ball is out versus when Romeo dobs breaks ball is coming out he's just about to get out of his break and there is no room for error here none Romeo dobs Red Zone Target man Romeo dobs might have 10 plus touchdowns this year he's only getting better he is only getting better and you know that if the ball's in his vicinity he's going to go make a play love that see another one now we got four to a side nice beats him on the special Jaden Reed again Jaden Reed in the Jet Sweep game deep cross game again this is their first kind of deep touchdown nice ball man what a good ball Maybe could have let him a little bit more but I like that Jordan Jordan doesn't try to be perfect when he throws he's just trying to put the ball in a pretty good spot and give his guys a chance to make plays he trusts that his receivers are not going to let him get intercepted and that's massive for some of the balls that he throws not everybody in the league would throw it but he's built up trust with these young guys got a lot of time on task here we go we got a stick concept with a through with a basic to the running back nice ball Christian Watson a guy that we haven't seen much of hamstring issues spent a lot of time in the offseason getting it right but he has the highest ceiling I'd say athletically out of any of these receivers and he's a big dude man this is going to be that special route that he likes inside receiver fade sorry not special inside receiver fade slot fade aggressive hands like you see the theme how many guys in the NFL get into this situation right here and this ball gets batted down that catch and swoop away like he has mastered that absolutely mastered that that's why I like the 50-50 balls to him you can trust him so many guys stop slow down turn around end up putting their hands up getting ran through ball comes out like not him now let's go here this one was sketchy I remember this play slant he ran the wrong route I think it was supposed to be three Slants somehow snuck that one in this play was nuts but Jordan was decisive and he was accurate that's crazy now that was so crazy all right now here we go are we going to get Run play with a run alert or we going to get play action play action with a tight end on a leak with a tight end on a little delay I love it that's a scheme play they saw something in film all right now we got 2 by two quick motion out I like quick motions from the tight end out gets you to see what the coverage is going to be and get you better leverage over here and Christian wats now showing up man like this receiving core is so talented they're just young they're just young and they got they got time to they had time last year to figure it out nobody expected them to do anything now the expectations this year are high that was a hell of a catch like he's got all the ability in the world to go do that consistently let's go get another scheme touchdown under center now look here you know that you have no run alert option cuz you're in super heavy quick little fake ball out easy the Packers can do it in a lot of different ways Jordan love can scramble around in the pocket make plays find someone late down the middle of the field Christian Watson I think just the theme of this offens man is a bunch of guys that are having fun playing football and everybody knows they're Al like nobody's trying nobody in this offense is being force-fed and that is so damn hard for a defense to stop like look at this zero Blitz Jordan love drops back Fades away finds the softest part of the pocket throws a ball before his receivers out of the break with inside leverage on a post but he puts it top shelf where only his guy can get it and that's just textbook man like it's Christian Watson again he didn't even play that much last year and they're going to have him ready to roll from week one I I have maybe unrealistic high expectations for this Packers team maybe so they got a tough they got a tough game week one against the Eagles but they could totally do it I mean the Eagles are going to be a better team too like I I wouldn't be shocked to see the Eagles and the Packers playing in the playoffs again in a similar game to how this week one shakes out now look we got zero Blitz again okay now we'll throw an out route dog Guys open all over the field and we got tight end screens quick little short motion know that they're in zone great we got them great play here it's another thing when you see this um all these motions and stuff these motions a lot of times are used to undress coverage so bump him out real quick now bring him back in okay they're in zone that lets Jordan know that for sure where he's going to go with the ball they're in zone here they're going to be in this is like cover it's kind of weird how they're splitting in the middle of the field but shell wise that's typically a cover six shell but these guys are playing so far off they're probably just playing quarters with tight coverage with uh tight safeties now Jordan man this play was sick this is the first time we've really seen him have to go like be a superhero at this point in time but again this point in the season back against the wall they had to win pretty much every game to make it to the playoffs and look at this ball look Ball's already in the air and look at where his receiver is money money money money money money man I love it that's a good one to watch now we got empty two high shell another scramble let's go let's go make plays oh this was unfortunate he got smoked now Jordan feeling the pressure of the Season maybe teams aren't giving the easy 101s they're playing a little bit more Zone cuz they're starting to beat people manto man it's okay now Jordan's now that they're playing Zone and they're not like blitzing all the time with man Blitz or zero Blitz or whatever he's got more time to read it out more time to scramble great ball placement great catch third down like Romeo dos back again see from this perspective quick little motion out Left Right reset B out oh this was a game this was a game now look want to bring some pressure they going to bring pressure I don't know let's find out we're going to have an answer if they do they do bring pressure but they drop one they're going to be in a invert two that is really really unsound with a backer that's not getting to his positioning over here and Jordan's going to see it he's going to drop back reset flip his hips and look at look look at this Ball's out right now this ball is out right now the margin for error on this is so small but as the season goes on as the stakes are getting higher Jordan is getting even more and more dialed in it's really cool to see from the beginning of this video to now what this offense looked like and how they were scoring touchdowns down in this area of the the cutup they had to be so methodical and they had to get all the way down the field and score on the 5 yd line four yd line like they had to score in the red zone now now they're starting to take shots now they're starting to starting to score from the 20 the 25 the 30 like they're starting to be a little bit more aggressive look 25 yd line what are they going to do they got a mugged up backer playing man here oh this was sick okay now they want to mix it up now they want to mix it up and play off a little bit and we're going to hit a check down that goes the distance like you feel all the guys around him starting to feel like they got a little bit more juice a little bit more swag to him how they're playing all right now back to the Red Zone ball in the 10 yd line got some receivers out Melton Heath who's playing Romeo dos Let's see we got a little uh stick concept with a through and a motion dagger so it'll be one to two to three to four they got pressure off the back foot wide open receiver he drives on the stick they got him bow time money Jordan's comfortable in that pocket man now now we got manross the board probably bringing some pressure flow six little cross money Wix is back man the fadeaways are so sketchy it's a reaction though now look now it looks like we're going to get a little bit more Zone here nope we're going to get man with a plugger but great plugger attaches he drives we should have this right here money and Wix Wix is a big dude like Wix is showing up now I think he missed a few weeks with an injury Now give me some zero bring the pressure he's been beating everything you throw at him 0 0 0 going to bail out drop back again post back foot guy in his face trust his guy top shelf throw they've got it figured out man they've got it figured out if they can keep this momentum going into this next season it's going to be a crazy year for the Packers and again they've got to they've just got to be died in to all the situations now let's go let's scheme It Up play action throwback to the tight end wide open these tight ends are getting wide wide open because the receivers are drawing so much attention the Run game is hard to get a beat on at this point in time a lot of shifts a lot of motions a lot of things moving around the Packers now have one of the most versatile offenses in the league and it was not that way the first eight weeks of the season so I'm hoping that by the time this season gets rolling they're going to be able to hit the ground running and play as if they have nothing to lose because when they started playing like they had nothing to lose that's when they started playing lights out like this started just making plays balling that's what I want to see and again this game didn't go as planned but against one of the best defenses in the league they had him for a while they had him pump fake like just slinging playing ball man and I I just hope that's what the Packers start the season doing I hope they don't that they don't play tight I hope they don't play with all these expectations I hope just get to business handle business and be who they can
