Intro hi it's Mitch from piic dogs.com here with your free pick in the Marlins vs Nationals Major League Baseball matchup on Sunday April 28th 2024 if you like all the free picks we do at Pi dogs you'll love our premium picks our Best Bets use the discount code pick to get 15% off we also have products meant for VIP Package people who make larger bets $500,000 plus per game if you're if you are that type of better and you're looking for a VIP style package we offer those as well they're just not available on the website you just got to text the number you see on the screen so if you make big bats like I do text that number but let's go to Miami where the Marlins are Game Preview taking on the Nationals boy Miami I you know where I grew up certainly not considered a very good sports Town certainly a lot of good teams a lot of Champions over the years but as far as like the the Miami Community supporting their sports teams well that never really happens and man what a time of year it has been in Miami with both the Panthers and the Heat in the playoffs same thing as last year and they just scheduled these games like basically head-to-head in the same time slots against each other I really never understood it but I'll tell you the Marlins also seem to be playing in those same time slots too but not today they get Center Stage all to themsel and it's Ryan Weathers On The Bump for the Marlins Patrick Corbin on the mound for the Nationals pair of lefties going Ryan weathers you know he certainly has been much malign throughout his career but he's actually pitched pretty well so far this season and I know last time out he allowed three runs against the Braves and a three nothing loss going five and a third but the thing is overall he's got a three 3.16 ER which is about half of where we normally see him at he's pitched 25 and 2/3 so it's not like he hasn't pitched that that many innings either of course a long way to go in front of him but he's allowed 24 hits nine earn runs 12 free passes a little to the high side for my taste and three bombs so you know certainly not horrible on the other side of it Patrick Corbin in the final year of that massive contract that he has one of the highest paid pitchers in all of baseball and he has also been one of the hardest hit uh pitchers in all of baseball this season just par for the course for his career since he's been in Washington with a 6.51 erra 27 and 2/3 39 hits 20 runs allowed 11 walks just 18 strikeouts you know I just think Corbin uh boy the Nationals getting rid of that contract is going to do nothing but help him and I think Corbin goes to another team and I think it helps him too probably ends up signing for a lot less money than what he's been making though the Nationals have not played all that well in Miami going 4-9 in their last 13 there but of course this Marlins team just not quite there just 2 and 12 in their last 14 at home we look at how the Marlins have hit lefties and basically they haven't hit lefties just hitting 192 but the Nationals not not that far ahead at uh 2.04 when we look at the bullpens the Marlins and thats pretty close I mean these two teams while the Nationals have certainly put more runs on the board this year and certainly played to a better record I think the Marlins have probably played a little bit of a tougher schedule and I think you know the Marlins have been in a lot of these games that they lost while the Nationals and the games that they lost now they' pretty much hammered in a lot of those spots so I think you know a lot of that My Pick can be misleading and I think with Patrick Corbin he's usually just an auto fade for us and I don't see why he's not here I'm going to take the Marlins and that's going to be my free pick of course while you're doing your picks putting your bets in use our free betting tools at sportschatplace.com 100% free and they'll help put you on the most favorable bets on the board today
