must be wondering how home yeah obviously um very similar I guess to to our first sort of away game where you know we controlled it for the most part um nullified most of the threats that you know Newcastle have I mean they're not it's obviously a difficult opponent here at home um you know the crowd create a pretty strong atmosphere for the home side and things Little Things go their way but I thought for the most part we handled that really well um and then gained the ascendency in the game and you know we just needed to to to kill it off and we didn't and um disappointing second goal I thought we switched off a little bit but game should have been well over by then so uh another sore one unfortunately um where we haven't got the rewards for our play but um you ultimately it's three strong performances for the first games um that the results don't reflect uh in that way some kind of whr was this you really missing inal Strikers oh um yeah potentially but I still think even outside of that we we we just had some really good opportunities a little bit more composure um yeah fair play to Nick P I thought he had a outstanding game um but I thought we could have tested him a few more times with just some better decision making it's not just the opportunities we did create I thought there was another probably you know six to 10 moments where we could have created even more opportunities so um so yeah and like I said that's been a sort of a constant theme um for us that we're trying to sort of break through yeah I thought it was good brother you know it was U it was a great opportunity to expose him I mean he's only 22 he's you know's still a young man in terms of especially for a Defender and I thought exposing him to this atmosphere and the threat the particular the Newcastle plays with isach up front um he had to be you know um really concentrated I thought he was I think you know he's going to play a big part in there so's and I think him coming through that um you know sort of that whole experience um will set him up well can I just ask about why you decided to take off I think is p had been booked and like part of his game he's just really sort of stopping the opposition and on the flip side Lord Kelly being booked as well so I just saw Brennan coming on and and sort of running at them I felt I just felt we we would sort of run over the top with him in the second half I got that sense just before halftime and I thought you know if we can get the ball to our wide players um we can cause them some problems and um and it did it worked out that way but lastely we just didn't take advantage of it whe there a lot of shs from outside the box is that something youed your team before the game no when opposition's defense side do it's pretty hard to get in there they got you 10 bodies in there at times um apart from ISAC everyone else is kind of in there but you know we we kind of worked our way into that area pretty well but there was other times where we got even closer to goal in the box and I like a little bit of composure which sometimes our positioning was off where we should have been uh we w't and um yeah we let them off the hook on am on da via the talk sport app and on your smart speaker talk sport
