hi everyone my name is John Deon and I'm a candidate for the Republican primary that is scheduled for September 3rd although many of you may have already received an early ballot if you look at the ballot my name will be third and it says John Deon and under my name are two titles one veteran the second title is Special Assistant United States Attorney just a couple of the titles that I've earned proudly over the course of my lifetime listen I got in this race because this country is at a crisis and I'm going to talk about those crisis it says veteran because I served seven years of active duty in the United States Marine Corp and in fact I was just here in quinsey a couple weeks ago at the annual quinsey veterans Music Festival I had a booth for authors because I wrote a book called food stamp Warrior Which documents my lifetime and overcoming poverty and overcoming obstacles like cancer and and violence including sexual abuse and the book is about how your birth and the circumstances surrounding your childhood do not have to dictate your future and your destiny you can dictate your destiny because when you look at me I am the American dream and everything that embodies what is Poss possible in a great and free country now I was in the Marine Corps for seven years and unfortunately I got injured on active duty and so since then I have been in Massachusetts representing people who get diagnosed with mesela and lung cancer caused by asbest but while I was in the Marine Corps I signed my contract here in Boston at New England School of Law and I'm proud of the fact that although I couldn't get in or afford Harvard Law I beat out Harvard Law students and BC and bu and suffk law students and I was chosen to represent the Commonwealth for the 1994 Judge Advocate law contract something I'm very proud of and I've lived in Massachusetts I've lived in Roxberry and East Boston and Malden Swansea and now I'm permanently located in Bolton in central Massachusetts but when I got out of the Marine Corps uh as a lawyer here in Massachusetts for 22 years I've been fighting major corporations and insurance companies for people who were exposed to Asbestos and they got mesothelioma and lung cancer and I've been representing Working Families across the Commonwealth such as plumbers and pipe fitters and shipyard workers in fact my biggest case is from quiny because I've represented people who were at quinsey 4 River Shipyard and were on aboard the US Us Salem OR the Massachusetts and so I'm in touch with these Working Families across the Commonwealth and what's on their mind and when you look at our country today you see that we are in crisis we have inflation that's out of control and a housing problem we have an opioid problem illegal immigration bankrupting the country because of an open Southern border and we have a debt crisis and we have Foreign Wars but the greatest crisis we face is a crisis of leadership in Washington DC because of the elites like Elizabeth Warren who sit back and they point fingers and they fuel the division amongst us so that they can stay in power and the last thing we need is another Elite going to Washington DC another career politician I think it's time that someone who overcame poverty someone who has struggled to pay his or her bills for most of their life someone who knows what it's like that you're doing everything you can the right way but you're still not getting ahead I understand those struggles because I've lived those struggles and we need to get rid of the career politicians it's why I favor term limits quinsey knows these type of people you just had a mayor who was given a 79% pay increase you don't see teachers or nurses or electricians or auto mechanics or cops or First Responders receiving that kind of pay raise we need someone who understands regular people we need someone like me and it would be an honor for you to vote for John Deon let me represent the Republican party because I can defeat Elizabeth Warren because I'm everything she claims to be thank you
