Transcript of Justice for Jeff German: the dogged reporter & the man behind the byline

after nearly 2 years Justice was finally served for Jeff Gman the Las Vegas Review Journal reporter who was brutally stabbed to death outside his home and for the first time we're learning more about the man behind the by line from his family the tragic and brutal taking of his life has resulted in a loss that I don't think we'll recover a beloved brother and Uncle whose life was taken too soon I wouldn't want anybody to go through this it was just it was devastating to the family really was we loved him for the first time we're hearing from Jeff gan's family he was kind he was loving he was loyal and he was fun his two sisters and brother taking the stand describing Gman as someone who loved Sports loved his family and loved uncovering stories he wrote about wrongdoings by Mobsters gaming officials politicians corporations basically anyone who's corrupt and I don't think they could hide from him a journalist who's now lost his life over articles he wrote in September of 2022 Gman was found stabed to death outside his home we the jury in the above entitled case find the defendant Robert Tellis as follows murder with use of a deadly weapon victim 60 years of age or older guilty on Wednesday a jury found former Clark County public administrator Robert Tellis guilty of murdering Gan I never imagined that Jeff himself would have become a national headline news story for his murder By A coldblooded elected City official in broad daylight but in typical Jeff fashion he was able to have his attack identified and locked up behind bars after his own murder I've seen garan's family in court practically every day in this trial but tell Us's family I hadn't seen But on Wednesday they were in court urging the jury to show Mercy for the former politician turned convicted murderer Robert is he is an amazing father tell is seen mouthing the words I love you to his wife Maryanne isma ISM tell Us's ex-wife Tanya Burton and his mother Rosal Linda Annas all asking the jury to give Tellus a second chance can I say one last thing judge please Ana even taking a moment to ask if she could make one final plea I ask you so please I accept the verdict and if you could please give my son a chance of parole his family is still very young at the end of annah's testimony I saw her turn to tell us love before weeping and leaving the courtroom the jury has returned a sentence of life with the possibility of parole after a minimum of 20 years served because of enhancements to his charge he can also face additional sentencing that'll happen on October 16th at the Regional Justice Center I'm jaywan Chung
