going on post for family my name is s welcome back to my channel how's everybody doing today nice and uh toasty day here Tuesday little bit lighter workload we all know that so just want to make a video something I've been um looking at reading all over the place uh we're losing um employees uh left and right uh people um leaving the job you know for a higher wages obviously times are tough and um you know inflation has gone up 20% so I can understand where they're coming from but so that's what we're discussing uh uh What uh USPS is going through right now the turnover and um just talk about the the benefits we have compared to the other places if you're new to my channel uh please do subscribe if you like poster content if you want to hear about different experiences of of the know giving them some information what they're getting into uh granted we don't have much going on right now with the Union the no contract whatsoever to talk about uh all we keep hearing is it's day to day it's coming it's coming uh since uh May of last year that's the only thing we've heard so that's a big negative anyway getting back to the subject the the turnover has gotten increased um new employees getting hired on and um they look at the other places where the wage is higher now even certain fast foods uh are uh giving you a higher wage but guys once you get hired this is a federal position granted the wage must be higher across the street for example the McDonald's they're paying you three $2 higher than what you're making here you're going to jump on that looking at the immediate uh you know the money you'll be making you got to look at the you're young you got to work your way up the step step ladder the you know get yourself a good retirement uh USPS offers U you know a great retirement pension plan all that stuff the benefits are there so these the these kids you know they do all the training they get hired on few weeks later granted all that uh contract stuff is a very negative NLC negative stuff going on but they quit and they go to uh like I was saying fast food place that's paying for example two $2 higher and you got no benefits there or not fast food like for example say a warehouse job I was reading some a kid quit for a Ware W house job you know what's to say that a year from now that that business is still going to be running you're going to be if that it's it's a overnight operation or something you know they had add in the paper uh W warehouse position paying such and such you you quit your USPS you go over there now you know a year later they go under and you're out of a job so how's that is that kind of dumb what you did or you know think about it once you you get hired on not all guys get this Federal position right here every job you go to has its negatives and UPS man you got to look at the longevity the you got to work your way up the step ladder you get lots of sick leave time in the beginning there's 4 hours per check or something it accumulates and I've seen guys retire you know they're two years retire just they're living off off of the sick leave and they get granted the retirement and all that but you accumulate your sick leave keeps going up your vacation time keeps going up other places what they're going to give you man okay 40 hours in a year does that increase like you know it's a federal position sick leave I don't think all these private companies give you sick leave like we do so you know you got to look at the big picture people uh quitting left and right to go uh you know cussing at at the service and um you know the wage is not high enough granted inflation you know 20% higher but still um stop and think you got this position you were on a list if uh certain people have a record arrest record they don't get hired on they're not as lucky but you got on and um and you know you just look at the higher wage in the in the paper you're you're looking I need more money I need more money okay next thing you know you quit USPS then you go to this overnight operation company warehouse job paying such and such a year later you're out of a job they go under then uh you're scratching your head U I did get hired on and then there's a chance when you reapply you won't get hired because I think they would keep track in um you know tracking you had quit you had gotten the opportunity but you quit doesn't matter what your reason was um you had made it in you had gone through training and then you left for uh some particular reason so just this video for you guys that are you know fairly new hanging there patience uh the step increases are still there don't look at the contract you know uh you might want to uh you know do something um part-time but don't quit all together you know when once you quit it's kind of very tough to get back so just hang in there patience and you know tomorrow is a new day we don't know could be introduced the contract could come in the we've been waiting patiently but you know some of us granted the the P Pati is running out me included but I you know I'm all about positivity I'm going to stay patient it's wrong for me to say patient is running out patients will never run out I believe in a higher power it looks out for us and we're going to have a fantastic contract that you all going to love uh that's I'm not Sig I'm trying to sound as much as positive as I can you know I don't want to sound like it's really is going to happen and then everybody's disappointed uh that's that's my mindset you know think like that and every day is easy in the heat we work rain shine snow dogs um I just got stung the other day bees my hand is all swollen so we we go through all kinds of stuff you know but at the end of the day I count my blessings and I'm blessed to be here I don't care what the next door company is paying $3 higher $4 higher heck even $5 higher I thought about what what I got blessed and um you know I'm here I'm here for a reason so I'm not going to look at a higher wage next door and just quit and give up on all my benefits all my future uh retirement decent decent retirement we offer so I know a a lot of hard workers too not just people that are quitting left and right there's a lot of hard workers that I've seen in my time old folks that continue to work they in their final years they're very happy they got retirement set they got years worth of sick leave and um you know they worked hard in their career whatever they did 23 25 30 years they work worked hard they did not quit in the beginning from the pressure of the times they stayed with it they battled they work hard moved up the ladder now they're maxed out on the pay scale their sick leave is accumulated their vacation time their pension plan is ready whenever they choose to retire so you know these kids coming in um please you guys I'm talking to you uh stop and think you know don't quit just for the my pay is low and the times are tough and this next door guys paying such and such and I'mma leave it's not the way to do it you're blessed to be here from the list you got the opportunity now you're just going to say okay I quit what about your future self take a look at your future self when that company goes under and you're out of a job again you'll be thinking again heck I I had this this nice Federal position with all these benefits that I just chose to quit because of my hourly wage being low so that's just uh another thing I'm facing right now um you know something to discuss not much going on as far as the contract I wish I can tell you something about the contract news you know we all do we're waiting for uh something turn up something will turn up and um you know again if you're new to my channel
