Cooper Kupp REFLECTS on his incredible CATCHES and Matthew Stafford's LINK to the Lions

so long and it's where his he raised his family so I I I understand I thought he did such a good job this you know this week being able to just treat this like a normal week and um came in here and man he just he got us in the right plays he communicated clearly uh in a hostile environment and was able to you know get us in and out of the right stuff and you know certainly like like he he said you know there's plays that we all want um yeah I mean it was good to be Know feeli Myself um you obviously you want to come out W and that um I felt like the guys really fought hard you know obviously we had some guys go down and guys step up and be able to you know come in and play and fight and so um really proud of the guys I think that was that was a really really cool positive to come out of what is a you know obviously a very unfortunate situation and just not being able to get the W but um excited to watch the film and respond to it yeah no I mean yeah he's I know he's gonna feel like he needs to make every throw um it it's tough you know we we had a route on and um the DB went to undercut and I adjusted to cut off the undercut and try to guarantee the throw and he saw the undercut and tried to throw it High um there one of those situations where you know we're both making the right decision it just wasn't the same decision and so um you know we got at the end of the day we got to find a way to make make those plays there's a few plays out there that I thought were you know on me to make and just wasn't able to make them and in these games it does come down to just a few plays um like it was right there you know we make those plays and you know we might be um might be you know might be a different outcome yeah um I mean he's a he's a competitive football player I think that's the thing as a you know as a young guy being able to come up and compete and challenge guys um and he's just going to continue to get better I know as the year goes on and um but um you know you see those guys talking and um the safeties they communicating with him and trusting him and um I think that's uh that's me something that's going to be cool for him and just the growth that he'll have this year but be fun to watch him from afar but it was certainly fun competing against him yeah you know that's obviously frustrating but like I said we you know we had those opportunities to close that game out in that four minute um you know we do we we went up defense got us to stop and we we need to find a way to you know ideally close the game out there you know you you we make that play on third down and um you know a few more plays um you know potentially one more first down you know might win it and um you know so we need to make those plays defense gave us an opportunity we need to make sure we make the most of those ones and uh you know we do that and then you know over time is um it doesn't really matter um so yeah that's awesome and he's done that over and over again um you've just seen it even just last year when he was on um P Squad doing stuff like that um and then what he's been doing all Camp he's just been making plays that's why you know he's called playmaker and has what he's what he does so um not surprised in any capacity um but man he did he did a great job today for us yeah I thought he did a really good job um you know it obviously there's a an emotional piece I think always coming back here just as a human being there's there's an emotional piece he was here for so long and it's where his he raised his family so I I I he did a really good job yeah yeah yeah it's that's that's vintage Matthew um I I mean he was you know he's battling out there you know I think he rolled his ankle up or something early on but you would he like no one would know no one would he's not making a fuss about or anything like that but just you know can tell he's hurting um but man just being a to grind things out and being able to just hop back into the Huddle and um snap back out of it just it's really it's uh it almost feels unhuman what he's able to do in terms of just being able to snap out of really a really dark place and be able to communicate and get us to what we need to do and then go out and just ball out as if you know as if nothing is happening um so you know that was vintage Matthew and you know like I said we want to make a few of those plays down the stretch but you did you did a great job overall this this game I thought yeah no I mean I think that's the the cool thing about football is you've got this we're all human you you step on the field and all you see is on the field but um we all have families we all have stuff that happens in our daytoday lives we still got to you know get up and make the kids their breakfast and dinners and lunches the next day we we're going through all that stuff too and for him he is a human and has all that stuff going but to be able to step on the field and snap into that like be where your feet are you know I think that's we say that all the time and Matthew's got an inhuman ability to be where his feet are and um and lock into that moment and you know be the guy that we need him to be over and over again in those times per thanks
