people know him out in West man he is the pride of Western Manitoba and helping us out this summer as our super student well the gold eyes coming to this one looking to win a series for the first time in well it'll be four remember they got swept by Fargo the last time they were here on the weekend went down to sou Falls split a four gamer and then ended up getting swept by Fargo once again so they'll look to win a series for the first time in four and the troubles have continued it is a slump for the gold eyes right now it's just not that they're scuffling along they are slumping right now in a lot of areas and the area for concern for me last night was okay we had talked almost at nauseum about the lack of offensive production but the bright spot the Silver Lining was always pitching staff was real good the starters were good and the bullpen was excellent and if they could only get a couple more runs and if they could only defend the field a little bit better because defensively they weren't great at times either well last night we saw the first kind of in the armor last night when it came to the pitching staff as Matt Raj likely had his worst start as a goldye gave up nine earned runs forgettable start for him he'll bounce back no problem and no question there but you wonder if all of a sudden the other effects the ill effects of not producing in those other two areas are starting to affect the third which is the pitching and once that goes boy you can get mired deep into a slump as Rick said when you have your starting rotation kind of spread out where you don't score runs you make mistakes and you've got your one two three starters going and all of a sudden you don't win with any of those three guys and then you put your fourth the fifth starter in next thing you know it's the anatomy of a slump anatomy of a slide anatomy of a losing skid which can then get to five six seven games and before you know it you're looking up and inar at the rest of the
