STORMS THAT WE'VE SEEN IN THE NORTHEAST SUMMER HAS SETTLED IN. THAT'S THE FIRST THING. SECOND THING, SINCE SUNDAY, WE'VE SEEN A HANDFUL OF TORNADOES. THERE WAS ONE IN NEW HAMPSHIRE ON SUNDAY, AND WE'VE HAD A COUPLE OF CONFIRMED TORNADOES NOW JUST OUTSIDE OF PITTSBURGH. THE PITTSBURGH OFFICE WENT OUT TO SURVEY, FOUND EF2 DAMAGE NEAR BELMONT, AND THEN A CONFIRMED EF1 JUST TO THE WEST. WHAT AN ACTIVE WEEK IT'S BEEN FOR THE NORTHEAST. THESE STORMS WERE SPICY. YEAH, THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ABLE TO GET IN THOSE SURVEYS YESTERDAY MORNING AS WE DID HAVE SOME QUIET WEATHER. BUT YEAH, AN EF2, A STRONG TORNADO JUST TO THE NORTH OF BELMONT AND THEN OVER THAT EF1 CONFIRMED OVER OAKDALE. THERE ARE FOLKS STILL WITHOUT POWER THIS MORNING IN PENNSYLVANIA, THOUGH THE NUMBER HAS COME DOWN, THIS IS A LOOK OUT OF WESTMORELAND COUNTY, OF THAT STORM THAT WENT THROUGH ON WEDNESDAY EVENING. THAT'S THE DAMAGE ON THE GROUND. YEAH, THE STRONGEST ONE, THE EF TWO. IT SKIPPED ALONG A PATH, ROUTE 22. AND HERE, WESTMORELAND COUNTY FROM BELMONT TO NEW ALEXANDRIA, WINDS ESTIMATED AT 115 MILES AN HOUR. THESE LARGE TREES WERE SNAPPED POWER POLES IN NEW ALEXANDRIA, THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DAMAGE SURVEY TEAMS. THEY ACTUALLY HAD TROUBLE ACCESSING THE AREA BECAUSE OF ALL THE DAMAGE YOU CAN SEE WHY. YEAH, UNFORTUNATELY, PITTSBURGH IS IN THE HAIRS AGAIN. THE CROSSHAIRS FOR MORE ACTIVITY TOMORROW AFTERNOON IN ALMOST THE SAME EXACT SPOTS COMING OUT OF OHIO, GOING THROUGH WESTERN PA AND STRETCHING RIGHT THROUGH WESTERN NEW YORK, TOO. SO SOUTHTOWNS NEAR BUFFALO. BE PREPARED AGAIN. IT'S A COLD FRONT, GOES BY. IT'S GOING TO ZIP THROUGH THERE SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND PICKS UP STEAM RIGHT AROUND SATURDAY EVENING. HOURS BY STATE COLLEGE, MAYBE INTO NORTHWESTERN JERSEY. WE'LL JUST HAVE TO WAIT TO SEE HOW THIS EVOLVES. YEAH. AND YOU KNOW, AS WE'RE REINTRODUCING THAT TORNADO THREAT AS WELL IN THROUGH PORTIONS OF OHIO, THE GREAT LAKES, YOU HAVE FOLKS THAT ARE GOING TO BE AT THE BEACHES. SO PAYING ATTENTION TO THE WEATHER. THIS IS A LOOK AT THE TIMING FOR PITTSBURGH ON SATURDAY. AND YOU CAN SEE AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING HOURS IS WHEN WE COULD START TO SEE THINGS REALLY BUBBLE REALLY SETTLE FOR MOST OF THE DAY. BUT THEN THE COLD FRONT GOES BY. THAT'S THE ORGANIZED LINE. AND I AND I DO. I SAY EVOLVE BECAUSE WE'VE ALREADY GOT FOR TOMORROW. WE'VE GOT THAT TORNADO THREAT. WE SAW HOW THINGS EVOLVED IN PITTSBURGH ON WEDNESDAY BECAUSE WE HAD A COUPLE OF LINES OF STORMS MOVE THROUGH, AND IT WAS THAT SECOND LINE WHICH PRODUCED THE TORNADOES. SO THAT THREATS EXPANSIVE. WE'LL HAVE TO WATCH IT. AND THEN OF COURSE, WE'VE GOT PEOPLE THAT ARE GOING TO BE HEADING DOWN THE SHORE IN JERSEY AS FAR AS THE FORECAST GOES. I THINK WE HAVE A LIVE CAMERA RIGHT NOW OF, SEASIDE PARK. BEAUTIFUL NEW JERSEY. IT LOOKS GORGEOUS, RIGHT? BLUE SKIES. IT'S A GREAT DAY TO HIT THE BEACHES ON THE EAST COAST, BUT THAT'S GOING TO CHANGE THIS WEEKEND. IN FACT, THERE'S BEEN SOME TRAGIC NEWS. TWO A MAN WAS HIT AND KILLED BY LIGHTNING AT THE JERSEY SHORE WHILE TRYING TO WARN KIDS ABOUT THE APPROACHING STORM.
