Georgia a I don't know score 48 to3 48 to3 winner Matt DeBerry uh kind of a slow paced game I think Georgia only had four offensive possessions in the first half Ryan Dean if I remember that correctly but they got the game off to a hot start defensively forced it three and out they get the nice punt return Anthony Evans they score a quick touchdown it's 7 nothing three and out again another touchdown to Kobe young and before you know it it's 14 nothing second quarter was a little low uh Carson Beck with five touchdown passes he we've seen him play better we've seen him be more accurate with the ball um but he did Ryan start off 10 for 10 or 11 for 11 uh the defense was outstanding should have had a shut out they gave up the field goal on the final play of the game they're still fast they're still aggressive they still look like the best uh defense in college football but you win by 45 points tuneup game you know that that's what you got and and you know solid allaround win Ryan yeah I think it was five possessions in the first half because of that one minute that one minute drill at the end there which they didn't capitalize on but smooth right you want things to look crisp and I think for the most part things looked pretty crisp you know Carson misfired on a couple passes they could have scored in a couple different ways but it was easy right the moment they get the ball what is one play One 6sec Drive touchdown to Dylan Bell um it's two weeks in a row where the defense is just stingy stingy and it should be right these are you know like Kirby's talking about in his press conference he wasn't impressed he wasn't all all giddy about what they did out there today because this is a game that they should win and they should do all of these things right Carson should easily have five touchdowns now I don't know if that you should easily hold the team to 18 passing yards and-7 at what halftime or close to halftime that part's ridiculous I think it's important you you come out of these games for the most part on skates a couple injuries I don't think anything that seemed super significant at least we don't know about some of them or their significance level yet but overall positive day they could have looked better but they nothing was concerning to me yeah I thought Carson Beck um I thought Carson Beck looked better than y'all did but I was on the field and there sometimes I can't see certain things that y'all get the ability to see his running ability specifically some of those plays on the Run whether he's running or running and then passing those were really impressive like plays and you know the two the two hands are on the ball almost all the time I don't know that they're not on the ball so that was to me that was I thought Carson looked great I think George is going to absolutely smash Kentucky I think that you know it's possible that Kentucky will kind of bow up a little bit after this humbling beating they're getting from South Carolina of all people but they don't have the dogs to Ram with Georgia that that's the problem that kuy's got right now is they just they just don't have the players clearly now it is tough to play up at Commonwealth I get that I've talked about that but you got to play better than that this is two back toback weeks where KY look bad the Tennesse Tech game man I mean you know teny Tech is not bulling green level Matt but Penn State like that happens to them a lot it almost never happens to Georgia and and they were fortunate to win and Notre Dame is coming down to the wire with Northern Illinois we don't know who's going to win that game yet yeah I'll say Kentucky better play their absolute best up front Georgia had 10 tackles behind the line of scrimmage today 10 tackles for a loss in one game uh Tyrion Ingram Dawkins had three of his own we saw a sack from KJ Balden a sack from Kristen Miller Jordan Thomas the Freshman that guy is that 92 that's your boy I'm tell you what man that guy is sudden he's a lot of trouble um quintavius Johnson got in there so another game where you got to see a lot of freshman Ryan some young players even against a game like Tennessee Tech it's still important to get out there was hoping to see a little bit more of gunar Stockton of what and what he could do um but he made some nice throws very vanilla though um they didn't really expand the offense much all game was hoping they would a little bit just to see more of gunar Stockton um but today was you know Carson Beck's five touchdown game we'll remember that and like Ryan said earlier the defense uh outstanding for the second week in a row yeah with with gunar I wish they wouldn't have blown the whistle so early on on that one run where he broke out of the pile and was probably about to attempt to stiff arm that guy that he was pacing with but uh yeah it was Vanilla with him and it always gets more vanilla when they bring in the next unit and then the next unit just mid ripping the shirt off like why can't you compete like that I cuz I can't I literally can't right now I'm on crutches how good is this team Ryan in your op they're Championship contenders right and now it's early right we you know Texas beat up Michigan today Michigan might not be that good we don't we don't know they didn't look that great against Fresno State so and that's and Fresno is not even a state you know we still don't know how good Clemson is yet we don't know how impressive Geor win is I I'll tell you that's true but I'll tell you what NC State next week for Clemson is a really important moment for davo they can't lose that game they cannot lose that game that'd be 30 of4 to NC State and you'd be one and two on the season and all this discussion of playoffs and all that goes away real quick I did want to say um I thought Texas that was a really good grinded out win um you know all the time though Matt I just watch teams um my daughter when she was little she used to she said this is what they taught her when I guess she was four or three you just have to stay forward in line you have to watch what's going on and if you see what's happening you can see what's you stay forward in line and when you're staying forward in line in this case George is allow six points in eight quarters of football that's it and it should have been three well yeah but they but to Tennesse Tech Credit they drove the field and got it so I don't I don't blame the coach I'd have kicked the damn thing too yeah well I mean on Georgia's third team I say when when the that first team is out there it all counts but when that first team is in the game for four quarters against Texas and Miss and Alabama and Kentucky they are going to be really hard to score on um yeah I'm trying to think how many times they crossed Midfield it wasn't many a couple okay a couple it wasn't a lot and then they squandered their best opportunity with that offensive pass interference that was weird that was weird I didn't understand that situation thanks for letting me over um tennessy Tech had nine first downs 18 passing yards they did Rush for 116 yards so yeah something it wasn't that's not nothing this guy's got a I love Hot Mom's bumper sticker that's a popular one around here for sure yeah yeah um Trevor etn was pretty good he was good man I thought that one run was was uh five carries 78 yards they did boy they split up the running backs they weren't going to let anybody get more than like seven carries it was just in and out Branson Robinson three carries 22 yards and a tough touchdown the touchdown got pulled take taken back to the one um look you remember that one of them did one of them did look I think Bron Robinson is a great change up guy I don't think he's your all the time back I think that he's a guy that oh well here's another guy you got to deal with I mean it just never ends Ryan yeah he's he's the kind of guy you bring he was the deun Edwards role of a few years ago when Deon Edwards was a little bit lower on the depth chart kind of the closer that comes in is just going to break a couple tackles Bron Robinson's perfect for that role but he can play significant snaps too um I think he's going to get his legs back more and more as things as you know he's coming off of a major injury yeah and it's only been a little bit over a year since that happened I think the fact that he's out there and playing the way he's playing is impressive in itself but I mean that dude's a workout Warrior they just again you you see it when you look at the the stat sheet how deep they are with their weapons Aran Smith touchdown Dylan Bell touchdown Lawson luy scored interception touch was five different guys I mean it'san just silly I that was what I was trying to articulate in the summer and like keyboard Chris is out here criticizing me about you know what's I was telling y'all they've got a slw of X-Wing Fighters there's no AJ Green or Devonte Smith and all that I'm I'm talking about there's a lot of guys that Georgia has that you're going to have to deal with and stop in the future I just want to spit this out though Matt cuz we saw him play you know DWI Phillips was really fast no no no surprise there he was really fast when he got that ball uh and there was a penalty on that play So I know because I just looked it up I want y'all to guess how many players caught a pass for knowledge is power I saw the number 12 15 15 that's a lot that's a lot and um again Arion Smith Ryan's guy four more catches 73 yards and a touchdown they really want him to be a big part of this offense and through the first two games you he he's catching the football he's making an impact and it's clear they want to use his speed in a number of different ways it's the last year they're going to have that track speed that he brings they've got other fast guys but it's clear they want Aran Smith to be a big part of his offense look it's about time it's been 5 years it he's been developing developing he looks like a more complete like an actual wide receiver these first two games of the year he he was just a guy out there running go routes and and catching screen passes for for Four Seasons and now they're using him in different ways they're targeting him in different ways speed kills and you can't you can't it's just not something you can replicate for the most part so I think he unlocks a different part of their offense Carson a little bit short on that deep ball still where he scored they've got to figure it out there's just something that they're missing there and maybe just something that Carson Beck's not great he was open on another touchdown that was overthrown yeah the one in the on the opposite from the in the other end zone yeah in the East End Zone how open was Lawson lucky very open wide that guy can run a route man he gets open on on his own you don't have to scheme him open he can put his foot in the ground and go the opposite direction that chemistry that he has with Carson I think is is easy to see through these first two games the thing is everything was open it wasn't they didn't have to fight for anything you something you talked about lastek this week in particular I mean there was it and Carson had more than one choice on a lot of these plays it wasn't just oh I'm hitting Arion like there was a few plays where he had someone deeper open that I thought maybe oh man he could have they could have gotten more out of that but it's not going to be that every week maybe but it I thought he missed Kobe young for a touchdown it was like a back shoulder should have had it against a defensive back from Tennessee Tech so I think just cleaning up that type of stuff the drive where they had to settle for a field goal I think there were like three passes on that drive and close to the end zone where just a little off and those are throws that we've seen Carson make that for whatever reason fell incomplete either just for whatever reason you'd have to go back and look but overall you look at the numbers went not a pretty good pretty good day it was good I mean I can't hate on I think getting the ball five times and you score four times you know that that that's not and that fifth time was no timeouts one minute left on the clock yeah but but I will say this and kby I I can't remember if he was crappy about or not but he would have the ability to be because there's going to come a time when you need to go get that done a minute in college football and and you got to go get three points that's not a giant ask I mean half of the NFL is let's just wait till the last 2 minutes and see how many times each team gets the ball to score the east side is popping tonight do not need to be in front of you you do not need someone my size or larger hitting you at about 10 mph that is not good the sideline is not a place to joke around there's there's xylophones and like that was vicious that was not that was that honestly that was scary dude that was not okay defitely I've only been lit up one time on a sideline that was Isaiah Crowell against South Carolina in 201 uh they lost that game magically but uh it it didn't feel good and that's why you really do need to have your wits about yourself I mean it was I was okay I don't think Isaiah made it out a lot maybe that was kind of one of the issues well they don't play Robbie Ashford today so you only have to watch you don't have to look out for him fastest player ever he's very fast that's that's a great example of why you need to have your wits about yourself on the sideline KY is going to have some real challenge this week man stoping Georgia I just don't see it at all no I mean didn't drilled it situation at Georgia and I think that I'd be very concerned if I were some of these teams thinking you know oh I'm going to get into the playoff you're not getting the playoff with a loss to Northern
