OFFICIALS AND PICTURES LATER CLARIFIED IT WAS ON THE WATER. >>> THOSE AFTERNOON STORMS KEEP US COOL. >> I DON'T WANT TO DISAPPOINT ANYBODY. WE ARE JUST GOING TO DO IT ONE MORE TIME. HOW HOT IS IT? THIS IS WHAT ELIOTT WAS TALKING ABOUT, NOT AS BAD TOMORROW. WE HAVE STORMS THAT WILL FIRE UP AGAIN. WE WENT FROM 90s TO 70s RATHER QUICKLY TODAY. I THINK THAT WILL BE THE CASE WITH TOMORROW. SOME PLACES WARM, BUT NOT TERRIBLY. 98 DEGREES THERE IN KEY WEST. WE'VE HAD A LOT OF CLOUD COVER. YOU GET THE CLOUD COVER ASSOCIATED WITH SOME OF THE STORMS FAR AWAY. THAT'S ENOUGH TO GIVE US A NICE LITTLE CANOPY , PREVENTING US FROM HEATING UP TOO MUCH. STILL SOME SHOWERS ACROSS THE BEND. SOME SHOWERS THAT HAVE BEEN DEVELOPING. YOU SEE THE THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE EVERGLADES PRETTY MUCH WE CAN THINK -- WEAKENING . THE RAIN TRACKER STILL DEPICTING A FEW SHOWERS. IT WON'T COMPLETELY FALL APART, IT JUST WON'T BE AS INTENSE WITH ALL THE LIGHTNING YOU ARE SEEING. AS FAR AS THE FORECAST, WE ARE STILL IN A POOL OF TROPICAL AIR. BUT CREATED THAT FUNNEL CLOUD THERE AND WHAT LOOKED LIKE A NICE TOUCHDOWN. TROPICAL MOISTURE AS WELL WILL BE COMING IN. DON'T CANCEL YOUR PLANS, BUT FOR BOTH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, THE THUNDERSTORMS THAT DO DEVELOP WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO PROVIDE US WITH HEAVY RAINFALL. IT IS JUST THE ATMOSPHERE GETTING A LITTLE MORE JUICED UP FOR US AS WE HEAD INTO SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. THERE IS RAIN TRACKER FOR TOMORROW AS WE PLAN OUR THURSDAY. QUIET CONDITIONS EARLY. AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN, YOU WILL BE IN IT. LUNCHTIME WILL BE A MESS. EVEN FOR THE BUS STOP. KIDS GETTING PICKED UP AT SCHOOL TODAY, I SAW A BUNCH OF LINES NOT GOING ANYWHERE. THAT WILL BE THE CASE AGAIN FOR TOMORROW. AS FAR AS HOW MUCH RAINFALL OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS, DEPENDING ON HOW CLOSE THIS BOUNDARY SETS UP. WE ARE LIKELY TO SEE SEVERAL INCHES OF ACCUMULATION. AND THE POTENTIAL FOR SOME FLOODING HEADING INTO THE NEXT FEW DAYS. THERE ARE NO TROPICAL SYSTEMS OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS. WE LIKE TO SAY THAT. WE CAN SAY THAT LATE IN AUGUST, THAT'S EXCELLENT NEWS. THE ACTION IN THE EASTERN PACIFIC, WE'VE GOT A CATEGORY 2 HURRICANE. TWO AREAS OF DEVELOPMENT THAT THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS WATCHING. EVENTUALLY LIKELY IMPACTING WITH HAWAII. WE WILL WATCH THAT FOR YOU. RIP CURRENTS WILL BE LOW. THE WIND SPEEDS ARE NOT A PROBLEM, SO NO ALERT. SMOOTH CONDITIONS. THE FORECAST AGAIN, PRETTY SIMILAR OF WHERE WE ARE TODAY. THEN WE GET INTO IT BETWEEN NOON AND 6:00. SHOWERS AND STORMS BACK IN THE FORECAST. BECAUSE OF THE TROPICAL WAVE, IT WILL PROVIDE US WITH
