Not all strokes are the same My experiences with strokes Aphasia in past few years

I'm going to see if if I can pull this off to do a video about my stroke you know I'm going to share with you what causes stroke so strokes happen when blood flow to the brain is restricted or stopped which can lead to brain cell death death injury disability and potentially death there are two main types of Strokes ex and sking and hemorragic so es schic is the mo most common of type of stroke so so also Strokes can appear different differ not everybody has his that has a stroke become paralyzed in their bodies in different places many do they would many would have paralysis in their in their face in their mouth or or dro grouping eyes a little bit or many PE get on your usually the left side but could happen the right side uh paralysis in your left arm or left leg will cause in not to be able to have Mobility so also some people like me I have have had several strokes and what have a fases a a s i a what is what is it is a prompt with communicate both cognitive the ability to communicate uh both the thing of the ability your rate doesn't always work the the way then you would nor normally you would have some DED for the loss of blood and not have the blood in your in your brain so it can cause you to not be able to either speak at all or stumble on the words or you might only be able to pull a few words get together like with me I I could say a lot of words but lot of time it's stum stubbly or stuttering or sound like Mushmouth or you prob this he heard you this term recently on the news I could have word salad salad that's pretty much what it is with me not like that not not what you've seen lately this is different so any so I just want to share that I will going on to explain how is the stroke his stroke has affected me the first one I had I believe was around two 2018 then have several many strokes tias which trads es scheming stroke so which is so I'll go on to explain what how this stroke affected me I wasn't even even aware that I was having a stroke at times so here we go so may maybe I'm not ready to do a video yet I my speech are still totally totally messed up but I have to try to talk slowly I this was not the first the time that I had I had a stroke back in in I believe was 2019 I had a strug I was living in my in my car a little cargo trailer so I went to a neighbor in the campground that was staying is off grid no utilities just what that just had water there I went to a neighbor Division I drove to them that's was trying to talk I couldn't say two words together literally all of a sudden didn't have any numb numbness my face was not numb had no stroke in my body really only think he had I couldn't talk so I drove myself I drove myself to the hospital about 100 miles away I did when I pulled in there they did some tests but never never told me they kept me 3 days never told me what happened that I never they never even told me I had a stroke that's the first experience I have with a stroke I'm doing talking a little better today but I thought I want want to share with you so what it was is what was it like to have a stroke this time so bear with me you'll hear the air conditioner in the background but it's kind of warm so I thought I better have done the lighting is not great in here but okay and Maxi's asleep you want to come here we're going to talk about the stroke and what how you What affected him because so this time I did not did not know I was has having a stroke over this past summer had a cut like two tias tiia is a mini stroke all I had with those it's little numbness in my mouth and I had trouble talking for a couple minut minutes then it it went wa that they were a stroke EGS but they are many strokes TI a is a trans in es scheming attack uh anyhow so this time I was on a trip a road trip heading to Washington and I was traveling as Caravan when with my friend T and So what had noticed a day or so before this was sometimes I had ever know while was dve driving I had double vision I've had double vision my past but in always all we had to do is close one eye eye get every it goes It goes away but in my old glasses before they did the cataract surgery had prisms in my glasses and never had double vision with them so apparently this double vision but it really only on occasion not constant it goes does it go away but it's kind of dangerous R you didn't know you're no if you don't you're going to have it but as the minute I did I realized I told her and I said we need to pull over that's basically if I had problem but I not the biggest promise one not was not the double vision the biggest problem my steering was messed up in my truck that was the real danger so anyhow this evening we had pull it over to an end to rest area so when did we did there that place the smell was funny it really was dry me me nuts crazy and so anyhow I didn't like it but I decided to go in to stay there we stay slept in there overnight in the morning I got out of the truck in the morning I was feeling tired I didn't rest well the night that night so I was feeling pretty tired but I had to get it out of the van take Maxi to go the pee so I was was able to do that I was not very steady on my feet and I'm not I didn't do well on the graph I noticed I didn't have good um fooing so when I got out talked my friend to to T talk to friends my friend T in her van next to me and when when I was talking to her I did notice I a great difficult to talk to her and she couldn't understand a word that I said of course I didn't realize at that point I should have real I was have having having a stroke but didn't didn't did not realize I was a have this stroke so so I was go over to the front of the box van I want to check my radiator and my oil so I went to was trying to get the hood up but when I touched the top of the van I lost my fooing and I lost my balance so I fell and te came right over there and she got re right behind me I kept saying move you can't can't get my foot straight because she was right in away she didn't know but she was in my way so I did not pass out but I did fall I fall fell on the ground so there was another person stayed here there overnight in the area so they asked is she she need help with with me she said yes could you please call 9111 I guess they did call and we and did an ambulance came so when the ambulance guys came over to talk to me they asked me questions I was a able to answer the questions they had me hold my arms out in front can't to do it on the camera whatever they asked me I was able to do that and finally was able to get my footing with he helped me finally stand stand up so they wanted take to me the hospital I said no everything I own my whole life is in this box band I'm not leave my van some so whoa would come break in everything everything my whole life is in here and it would be gone I said every every document every piece import the pie p paper the all the title reg STR on the vehicles all my money what whatever my money I did have all my all my ID everything was in here my uh all my important men documents my birth is everything um so I didn't want to leave my box pan in the middle of somewhere and never been there before so I said no I'm not going to go to hospital I'll be fine so I was by then I was able to talk a little bit not good so I got in the van and then I talked to T I said I think fine I was able to drive so we we did drive that the rest of the day and the next day we finally got the box fan because we had been having trouble with it so we knew we we knew knew need to find a mechanic got to Vancouver that's where finally got with the van the next day so we got the van in there to get some working on during that time I was suffering from my speech problems but I did not realize how bad this stroke affected me at at Point still wasn't think in my head thinking I was actually had have a stroke but didn't didn't when you're having something like that unless your body goes dead or something it didn't so I didn't really did did not realize I had a stroke so two days later after I got to my older sisters in my house her with my niece which is her daughter where they they live together in a Brimmer T so they decided they next morning they wanted me to go to the hospital so that's what happened so I go to the hospital they told me I had a stroke when I talked to them explain what happened and then the rest of History I'll talk about all that another time I probably have read already talked a little bit about about that so as you can hear this have been this has been all told it's been about a month since the first incident from the so I have improved at first I couldn't talk at all and my the one thing was affected only thing that was affected but by this stroke my speech and little bit I'm try the word to you say the word neurologically neur or cogn cognitive because what happens I think my mind is okay it's fine but sometimes things are not easy to understand like it used to be could be be able to understand pretty much anything boy hated want to do a ven like this this all stumbling you probably couldn't even seen Maxi the whole time he's so good when he when talking he's patient with me she's the he's the best dog and great companion so I didn't know if going to do a video this soon but here we are that's in inside the box fan so that's a story about how would what what a Strokes I feel like how it affected me and so everybody that has a stroke it different is is a different experience experience so this what happened to me this how this stroke affected me and I talked about my first one so pretty similar this one's a little bit worse but still almost saying really I'm lucky I didn't lose the a to use my legs or arms to walk or things like that I'm grateful could have been a whole lot worse so that's my story I'm sticking to it if you learn something about it be aware learn to the signs of Strokes in time you feel in kind of a could have VIs problems you could had um numbness in a ma in your mouth in your arms or leg or anything if you have chest pain I didn't have chest pain but you could have like different symptoms go online Google maybe on next bit I'll tell the signs you could watch for so anyhow hope you learn something from this video thank you for watching you have a great evening and Maxi ready to go to bed so I think I am too I'm worn worn out because this doesn't take a lot out of me every time to try talk or car carry a conversation so I did okay I think tell what tell me what you think I'm speaking much better than I did the first time I got on camera so thank thank you from being here for all your support have a great evening good night I love you all bye-bye thank you for watching byebye so this something I can part with this that was a very special gift from one of my friends from Blue Wave odys Odyssey Debbie and Bob the special gift this year so not smok anymore not smoking I have smoke s us since I was in the hospital thought I just me you I want I know you'll see this it people always comment anything they're watching watch over me make sure don't screw it up if it's screw do screw screw up it my choice but anyhow but I'm not ever going to smoke it again but this is my lighter because I don't want to give it a okay I can use the light my stove or something so that don't just can't give it away can't get it rid of it that's it it's special gift gift frombody s that's it I'm done well there you have it
