you got two more today what's what is the difference between you now Max said is that as simple as healthy or or what else is uh like I said last week uh just knowing what I'm doing you know what I'm saying studying making sure the film is Right making sure we going out there executing the play I mean I didn't get that sack because of me I got the sack because we ran that right play with me and Tyler then you got Josh and B and the other side run the right play that's how the S happened so I'm not going to say that you know came from me it came from just executing the play to right way do you find that you're quicker off the St than maybe you were before and how much that has aim to do with some of the stuff that Ted St you uh honestly just you know just knowing what I'm doing uh you know last year I played a lot of positions and stuff like that I feel like me just focusing on just one has allowed me to just change my game and just allow me to just focus on that one play and just and that one play even that one uh position and it's allowed me to coach the young guys even better cuz you'll see they've been get getting off the ball faster as well so it's just been helpful for me and the team all um I was going through your head after the big sack with 1255 left in the fourth quarter um I wanted to do this dance I've been doing all week uh really uh I just I don't know I'm just playing n nothing was going through my head for real I just wanted us to win I wanted us to have a big win too and just you know being in the first home game I wanted us to win big that was really how was um the five sacks in the first two games a big confidence builder for you moving forward uh honestly just ball next week you know I haven't really it it's not going to hit me you know what I'm saying I just want to just ball next week you know what I'm saying I want to go one and up next week good stuff how do you feel like the defense played overall obviously we make a sack on around he left the game pretty soon after that brought in a freshman both they got some passive yards in the game how do you feel like show all uh honestly I feel like we can play a lot better than what we did you know what I'm saying uh we we left a lot of you know what I'm saying we we to call it money we left a lot of that on the table out there uh I feel like I could have played better I feel like all of us could have played better you know we we went out there and won which all is all that matters but of course I feel like we can play way better Javari when did you when did you guys first find out that Cayman wasn't going to play today and just what was your initial reaction to hearing that news and seeing the other guys step up uh honestly I just you know reached out to him and told him to get better uh told him and pray for him as always love him up cuz I mean we can't wait to see him back out there was it but like when went during the week was that was like uh I don't have an answer for that one I just you know what I'm saying like I said I just reached out to him told him to get better and now we going to see him out there pretty soon now would you say the younger guys like Tyler Thompson those guys stepped up in his absence oh they stepped up big time I mean just coming in playing they both never played and them well they played last year but them playing a big game like that coming in um I feel like they stepped up for sure we had a lot of trust in them they did great in practice this week they've been doing great all camp and even the Spring ball and so of course you know the next man up is what we say and you we have have trust in me so we have trust in them boys they play really well Javari we we talked to you obviously right after the game in Minnesota the other night but in the days that have passed since then who had the best comment to you like who was hyped up the most about those three sacks you had uh there like what were the things you were hearing from people that were fired up or I didn't I was just hearing a lot from my family I mean they told me about it you know at the end of the game uh they told me about it again the following day and after that they was like let's go do it again so um hearing it from my girlfriend heing for my brother hearing from my mama I mean my brother you know me and my brother we always competing and stuff like that so he's like go do it again prove me wrong I said I got you so I'm going go I'm going just go out there each and every game and go do that do you really practice the sack dance during the week you said do I practice the sack dance no I just watch Tik Tok honestly you something about sack you get a little bit more play yeah you guys good jaar you mentioned uh some of your sex being a result of you know some of the other guys making the plays you know on the rest of that line what do you kind of feel like is working as a defensive line unit as a whole that's creating even creating those opportunities for yourself or you know some of the other guys that even had scks last week uh I mean just us just going out there and executing every play you know what I'm saying we get the call from Coach Collins we got out there and do it it's not more so it's like one person did this one person did that we I mean we all did it I mean it was it was our play you know what I'm saying one of us got the tackle but it was we all made the play J five do you think that um coach cins in mon you know their philosophies have been a huge part of your improved success these past two years oh yeah for sure I mean with them you know bringing them in bringing in uh coach Lindsay you know we everybody has a whole bunch of knowledge everybody has a whole bunch of experience and just us just getting coached you know what I'm saying with a lot of experience has allowed us to elevate our game just you know what I'm saying just in practice just in film room I mean we all have more knowledge than ever just because of all the you know what I'm saying ogs that have come in just to help us out you have more knowledge now than when you you I personally say I have I have more knowledge you know what I'm saying because it's a lot of things I didn't know at one point which I'm not taking that away from last year we had knowledge last year but it's just more so we just have more experience coming in and that's brought a lot to the table for us did you have the coach College wear your J5 shirt you said I now he told me about it he sent me a picture P he pulled up his his top and Sh his CH yeah I thought I thought that was cool I appreciate it a lot get him wear it again this Ian that's his choice May wear a came record shirt you know what I'm saying whoever shirt he wear I'm I'm I'm love it up you know what I'm saying you mentioned last year how you played both on the end and then the interior this year's end just on the interior was that a something Ted brought to you about or something you kind of thought you were more comfortable with or I guess how much more comfortable are you now just kind of more so on the interior Focus that uh honestly whatever they want me to do I'm going to go out there and do it you know what I'm saying they told me to focus on just playing three Tech this year and so I've been watching a lot of film watching a lot of techniques I can possibly change with my game um I feel like for me just doing things that's going to help me play a better three technique position has changed how I'm playing and that's probably been the biggest thing is just him telling me I just focus on this and then ball with that and I said I got you so
