WHAT IS A TYPICAL DRAFT LOOK LIKE? >> ATYPICAL FANTASY FOOTBALL DRAFT IS BUILDING 18. YOU WILL PICK PLAYERS THAT YOU THINK WILL DO WELL OVER THE COURSE OF THE SEASON, YOU ARE BASICALLY GOING TO BE YOUR OWN VERSION OF BILL BELICHICK AND YOU GO ROUND BY ROUND, USUALLY THERE'S 8 TO 12 PEOPLE IN A LEAGUE AND YOU JUST TAKE TURNS PICKING PLAYERS AND THE PLAYERS THAT YOU LIKE ARE THE PLAYERS THAT GO ON YOUR TEAM AND THEN YOU BUILD A LINEUP THAT WORKS FOR YOU AND YOU START THEM EACH WEEK AND THEY ARE YOUR FOOTBALL PLAYERS FOR THE SEASON. >> THAT SEEMS PRETTY EASY. HOW DO YOU SCORE POINTS AND WIN YOUR WEEKLY MATCHUPS? >> THAT IS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER WHEN YOU GO BACK TO YOUR DRAFT, IT IS KNOWING WHAT THE SCORING SYSTEM IS. IN THE NFL A TOUCHDOWN IS WORTH SIX POINTS, AND FANTASY FOOTBALL LEASE, THAT'S USUALLY WHAT THEY ARE WORTH AS WELL BUT YOU ALSO GET POINTS FOR YARDAGE, IT'S USUALLY A POINT FOR EVERY 10 YARDS RUSHING OR RECEIVING, A POINT FOR EVERY 25 YARDS PASSING, TWO-POINT CONVERSION, THAT IS WORTH TWO POINTS, IF ONE OF YOUR PLAYERS TURNS IT OVER, THAT'S WORTH -2 POINTS. YOU DON'T WANT THAT BUT EACH WEEK YOU WILL PLAY SOMEBODY ELSE IN YOUR LEAGUE AND WHOEVER SCORES THE MOST POINTS WINS, IT'S SIMPLE BUT YOU'VE GOT TO KNOW YOUR RULES BEFORE YOU GOING TO DRAFT. IN SOME LEGS, CATCHES ARE WORTH A QUARTER OF A POINT, HALF OF A POINT, A FULL POINT. THERE ARE MANY MUTATIONS OF FANTASY FOR ALL. IT HAS CHANGED A LOT IN THE 20 YEARS WE'VE BEEN DOING THIS AT CBS. >> THE PEOPLE I KNOW THAT PLAY FANTASY FOOTBALL ARE ALL IN. DO YOU HAVE TO BE FULLY IN ON THE NFL, ON EVERY GAME, TO PLAY FANTASY FOOTBALL? >> SO IT'S JUST LIKE ANYTHING ELSE, LANA, THE MORE YOU PUT INTO IT, THE BETTER YOU ARE GOING TO DO. NOW I'VE SEEN PEOPLE WIN FANTASY LEAGUES AND THEY RARELY SET THEIR OWN LINEUPS AND THEY STILL FIND A WAY TO WIN BECAUSE THEY JUST GET LUCKY. IT'S CERTAINLY A PART OF THE GAME. >> THAT'S ME. >> THE MORE YOU KNOW ABOUT THE PLAYERS AND NOT JUST DRAFTING PLAYERS THAT YOU'VE HEARD OF BUT ALSO PLAYERS THAT MAY BE RECOMMENDED TO YOU, THE BETTER THAT YOU WILL DO. >> I WANT THE CHEAT CODE, IF YOU ARE PICKING FIRST, WHO ARE YOUR TOP FIVE PLAYERS TO DRAFT, WHO ARE SOME SLEEPERS MAYBE TO LOOK OUT FOR, WHAT CAN YOU TELL ME? >> THE TOP-FLIGHT -- TOP FIVE PLAYERS ARE CHRISTIAN McCAFFREY, RUNNING BACK FOR THE 49ers, CD LAMB, WIDE RECEIVER FOR THE COWBOYS, AND TWO MORE RUNNING BACKS, BREEZE HALL WITH THE NEW YORK JETS AND THE JEAN ROBINSON A SECOND YEAR RUNNING BACK WITH A FALCONS OF THESE ARE PLAYERS THAT I EXPECT TO GET HUGE NUMBERS THIS YEAR.
