Fishing Zia Reservoir | New Mexico Lake

now we're fishing for bass today they do have huge bass here so it is it's so beautiful out here mid you guys should come with us sometime it's so peaceful and they have good internet so you could work for them out here so let's see what we could catch see where I could set this where did I have it [Music] so this is what I'm using it's the Texas Rig see how we do it that sound like a bite did last week with tail slap Josh and um I fell in love with that place so that's where I want to celebrate my my birthday and they have some big carpet in that Lake and trout so we'll be doing some from Hemes New Mexico I decided to record a video today and my girlfriend wanted to go live so we got the best of both worlds right now this is my my setup for my recording I have the mic right here and then my little uh DJI action 4 camera and then I made the the mount well I bought this but I mounted it to my hat and it actually works really well it's very comfy it's not heavy I can see the screen right here so I know that I'm recording sometimes I forget to look at the screen and I'm not recording but but I wanted to make a video she wanted to go live so that's what we're doing right now we're just mixing it up thank you guys for joining this is my girlfriend gel's channel so if you guys haven't yet hit that like And subscribe she doesn't go live too often but I've been trying to convince her to go live more often she started getting into Tik Tok for a while there so she stopped posting on YouTube and I'm trying to pull her away from Tik Tok cuz I don't I don't care for Tik Tok I just I can't do it watching those videos makes my head hurt so I stick to YouTube but I've only caught one bass missed a bunch of them missed a decent one he hit my uh Texas Rig but he only hit it from the back so when I set the hook it just yanked it out of its mouth I think is getting T so was that be just the wind it could be the wind he said I made a new change long hook Adventures oh is that Chris yeah oh nice I like that name Chris that's a hook Adventures he says it was time for a name change to reflect on flying and fishing yeah it's a cool one nice I was born in you Mexico but it doesn't look like that Southeast corner so you were down in Roswell Hobs area Aria Aria area I just shared your stream out oh thank you Rod appreciate that I like your I'm going to try to be more active on YouTube now yes we're up here in Albuquerque New Mexico and then we mov down to Los Lunas cuz the city just started getting too crowded but we're right in the center of everything still so 2 hours south we go to elephant bu Cavo if we travel an extra 2 hours which is 4 hours we go down to Lake Roberts and be Canyon reservoir and all those other pretty lakes down there if we go up north we travel 2 hours we end up in um ABQ Fenton Heron Heron uh what other ones beos River beos Santa Cruz n Falls n if we go west we get blue water if we go East we get Santa Rosa and lake subar and if we go 3 hours North we we get to the beautiful lake called eagle nest that was one of my favorites until I started fishing down south now I'm undecided which one's my favorite but we try to travel the state we still need to hit up a bunch of other different lakes we need to go down Southeast fish the pekos is that a bite paper no I think it's the Breeze you'll see the bites cuz it starts bending your PO yeah Chris says he's so far from everywhere yeah well they have the beos river they have uh they put out some big flly heads out of the peos down there right and if you go south on the pekos closer to Texas there there's a bunch of gar in there that's where I want to go yeah I would like to go catch more gar that's one fish I haven't caught that's such a beautiful view so those are the hus mountains right mhm coffee says I'm in the south central Oklahoma now how it out there that's good how's it out there coffee I been to Tulsa Oklahoma tul M and every time we head over to Arkansas we'll pass through there it's 100 it's 100 in Aria right now wow gosh that's so hot what is it here do you know I don't even know let me check real quick oh right now it's uh let's see right now but says 84 but Lunas says it's 85 where we're at right now oh this is nice no wonder so nice out here it's not bad it's a little bit hotter here than in the Luna oh never mind and now it's s to 0 earlier was 84 before I'm right by the river so it's 90 in yeah coffee said it's hot but I live less than 10 miles from four different legs oh that's awesome what do you fish for out there I would rather a ton of crappie out there he's a really good crappie fisherman I like fishing for Crappie we had so much fun at El Roberts yeah Lake Roberts is full of crappie a bunch of black crappie out there I missed a big one that hurt my feelings yeah that one was big right when I was about to net him he popped off the hook and then he gave me the little side eye wink and swam off slowly you should have just knitted him cuz he sat there like kind of like in shock for a couple of seconds yeah but I was in shock too when my my hook popped out if you look on the map I'm about 15 minutes from where the Illinois River dumps into the Missouri River oh nice oh so you got it made too into the Mississippi River in Mississippi oh I read Missouri my eyesight ain't that good anymore I Know M man they're everywhere is that is that a little tug or no no you sure waves look at that why you still have a good eye for the lines I thought it was a bite so that's what's going on with mine too yeah I got a ditch rig on this one double hooks oh you do I want to I want to try that I want to up my chances on breaking it in I know that's smart I have a trouble in a single hook I want to try that I want to mhm I love Lake Roberts yeah so do we it's a beautiful Lake we have no bit on any of them yeah we love going to Lake Roberts well we've only been there once but we loved it we loved it so much we actually stayed the night there cuz we didn't have it planned so we went there and actually caught a flathead on the back of the dam oh that's right you did everybody kept saying there was no flatheads back there but I've seen people pull out flatheads back there like uh old buzil yeah old Buzz pulled out a big one yeah it was a big one what other legs do you like to go to Chris down south practically summer down there we'd wear our sweaters or jackets in the morning and then once that sun came out it'll get super hot it' be in the 60s 7s I think the hottest it got out there in the winter was like 75 yeah I have not been on as many lives I've been re bu fishings I just number 22 today dang yeah I've seen you on on lives before and then I hadn't seen you for a while and then you jumped on again it's always nice to see you guys you guys make these lives entertaining Keeps Us company while we're out here just staring at our polls you guys are [Music] awesome your head still than the GoPro it doesn't overheat the batteries last longer so they make some good stuff once I decide what the upgrades will be will get together the roof and the electrical need dressing immediately nice well if you need a roofer I know a good roofer and I know a good electrician as well [Music] look how beautiful those clouds look I know looks really nice does it's a nice [Music] view e I hope you break in that Rod today I know me too I need to take the skunk off of it that way I can start catching some monsters on it we're going to have to go bear the heat down south to be able to break make it in with some good fish or we could go to beos yeah we can do that too it's not oh no it's just as hot over there there's no shade down there at all yeah there's none never mind can still do it I'm still down I don't mind the heat what if we do night fishing we got to go find a spot in the day first we don't know that area that's true or we could go night fishing down south evening that's not a bad idea there coffee I would hit up the Lakes tonight Clyde you have to bring shade with you oh yeah I have a nice canopy it's just big that's why I don't like to uh carry it rounder open it up you need at least three people to open it up comfortably I can do it by myself it's just a little difficult two people's reasonable but three or more is better but I do have a nice big canopy in it it has um the canopy itself sou has some type of reflectant for the heat so it doesn't get hot under there so it's actually really nice I just don't use it as much as I should I we should start using it more often yeah we should cuz the days down here have been horrible mhm I'm so ready for fall I'm ready for the winter yeah I'm ready for ice fishing I just made dough bait and when I got finished I had 13 lbs made holy crap wow it's a lot of dough bait yeah we haven't tried fishing with dough bait you should try it did you make dough bait for trout or for carp [Music]
