Intro all right guys what's going on welcome in so Jets training camp practice is just about to kick off here in about like 5 10 minutes but we have breaking Jets news the team went out and signed Adrien Martinez really late last night uh former Nebraska corn husker former Kansas Adrian Martinez State Wildcat uh somebody who played or he had a small s with the Detroit Lions but most notably last season he was in the UFL where he actually won UFL MVP and became a UFL Champion Okay so the New York Jets are getting a highly decorated quarterback uh at this point in time and you know it's funny I remember Adrian Martinez coming out of uh high school because he was a big- time quarterback prospect I believe he was a fourstar guy um and commits to Nebraska had opportunities Nebraska to leave he was there during the whole Scot Frost era obviously it didn't really um you know pan out it did they they couldn't really turn it around and there was a lot of Promise a lot of hype when Martinez originally went to Nebraska uh but I mean talk about resiliency right talk about leadership those were some of the qualities that people at Nebraska uh whether it was reporters whether it was uh you know uh teammates of Martinez everybody loved Amar like he was such a great teammate uh but again in the end it just didn't work out he ends up transfer uh transferring over to Kansas State for that last season but yes so the New York Jets signed him to a contract and Kendall Sheffield then they also brought in a cornerback uh Kendall Sheffield who was with the Titans and the Niners practice squad a year ago but was a fourth round pick back in 2019 uh made by the Atlanta Falcons and over uh or really over the span of 2019 through 2021 he appeared in 38 games had 20 starts with Jeff orri you know in Atlanta and you know my my instant kind of reaction to the QB Depth quarterback position is man this position is deep I I mean we're talking about having the top three positions locked in we know who the starters are going to be Michael Carter DJ Reed s Gard behind them behind them we have JBC Bernard Converse right moving over from safety to Corner we have quantz stiggers who's been making plays all over we're now adding Sheffield to the mix I I mean this room like I like I'm just trying to put myself trying to quickly scan through every team in the NFL I seriously think the Jets have the best quarterback room in the entire league uh when we're talking about just again Talent depth uh versatility guys that fit the system guys that produce yeah I really cannot think of another team that I would actually take over New York at the cornerback uh position so anyway quick little video here let me know your thoughts Down Below in the comment section again practice is starting up pretty soon here and uh also if you go out and check out the um uh New York Jets uh YouTube channel they should be going live here in about 5 10 minutes with the uh the the live look in a practice so anyway let me know your thoughts down below and as always go Jets [Music] what [Music]
