of the poll so gosh darn it we're still going to take that top 10 ranking into Monday night against Boston College and do Campbell Stadium home opener for the nolles 7:30 ESPN on Monday night before that gets down though you want to head over to the corner pocket bar and girl on Sunday for a meet and greet Big Game LSU USC Jeff Cameron Cory Clark will be hanging out the corner pocket bar and girl stop by say hi shake some hands make some new friends pregame show with Jeff Cameron and Tom Lang 1M on Monday getting you ready for that big game and then us here getting you ready for that big game guys thanks for being here I'm going to start things off with you Ira because you've just been grinding this entire week content machine we appreciate you so a week now later to digest everything that's happened whether it's in Dublin or the practice Ira does it does It ultimately feel like yeah Mike Norvell was right there was 30 plays that if just one of those GES floor States way everything would have worked out in Dublin does it feel like a few tweaks is all that's going to be needed or is there the potential that maybe there's some more underlying things that may surface on Monday night that poses threats to the ultimate success of the team this season yes okay Jeff camon I think no I I I think both are true um I think this team does have uh some problems that they got to fix and and I don't know how quickly they'll be fixed um you know and again we spoke very highly of this team coming into the season for the same reason you know the NFL Scouts have talked highly of a lot of players on this team because they're big and strong and fast uh what we saw in that game was they did not play football particularly well and so uh you know it gives you I think it should give FSU fans a little comfort in knowing that yeah they played about as poorly as they could play for the most part in that game other than a couple of stretches and Georgia Tech played exceptionally well and probably as well as they're going to play all season and a lot of the elements were kind of in their favor with it being a season opener in Ireland in the elements and all those things and you still only lost by three so that gives you an idea of the overall Talent of this team uh at the same time time those problems were legit it's not like they just had bad turnover luck like they they were not physical uh the coaches as the week has gone on the coaches and and even some of the players have owned up to it they were not physical they were tentative uh they you know they just didn't play good football and so can they change that in one week I think so I think there were signs of it you know again the day before the game in in Ireland I talked to some people who were at that practice who raved people that played in the NFL that have a lot of knowledge of football who thought they looked great and I've talked to other people in the program they thought they looked great on that Friday then they went out there and laid an egg on Saturday so I think it's both I think what we saw on the field all those warts are there but I also think the potential to be a good football team is there as well they just have to do it do you want to pick a side Jeff or do you want to give us a pie chart in terms of uh where your mind's at right now does it feel like a week three four practices enough to clean up some of these issues or after seeing that game and having some more time to ponder on doing the Jeff Cameron show are you like man there there might be some uh other obstacles in the way that I wasn't uh forecasting previously yeah I'm going to do what Ira did I'm going to say both I have some real concerns I think he did a good job of kind of summarizing what I thought I I I think there are some concerns that are going to take some time to work out I'll tell you what concerns me though and Ira just touched on it I talked to similar people who said that they thought they looked really good we saw a lot of good practices as well but you know who thought they looked really good Mike norell and Mike norell unfortunately you know had to own the fact that that team didn't look prepared to play once they took the field on Saturday so he didn't see what he thought he was going to see and that's why you saw that far away stare a couple times during interviews I think he was in shock at how tenative they played uh I think there was a lot of indecision indecisiveness which led to slow play where you don't see them trigger and play fast that can't happen you can lose but you can't play football tentatively you got to play fast and you got to play violent I'm hoping to see that on Monday night they have to right it's the home opener you just got embarrassed think about this they just played a football game against Georgia Tech in which they committed one penalty and had zero turnovers and lost and probably should have lost by more than three so that has to be unsettling to say the least uh but the main thing here is I have less concern about the offense a lot of people will talk about DJ a lot of people talk about this offensive line I'm not as worried about that I'm worried about this defense as of right now I need to see that unit trigger downhill I need to see better safety play obviously you guys know I bring up linebackers all the time I don't want to be a broken record but they were atrocious in this game so that's all got to be a lot better can they be a good football team I think they could be a good football team for the reasons that Ira brought up and that others have pointed out they have some good football players you got to get them in positions to succeed they got to trust what they're seen and play fast and play violent we'll see if that happens on Monday because they're going against the coach and Bill o'ri who knows what he's doing he was a one-time National coach of the year he was tabbed by Nick Sabin and Bill bich to be their offensive coordinator he can scheme some things up and Ryan Day take the head coaching job at Boston College if you want to look at that way all right Iris so you know offense defense I don't know how much you know blame for lack there of a term we want to use to to delegate to those sides of the ball but watching game day on Saturday as we record this you know Nick s talking to Mike Elco and complimenting him on just how confusing of a defense Mike Elco runs and said that you know listen Bryce young had won 19 games in a row and then had no idea what was going on in that upset where Jeremy czad and Jimbo somehow took out Alabama and I started thinking well you know what Tyler sanui the defensive coordinator of Georgia Tech you know was the coordinator at Duke last year with Elco and they they tripped up Jordan Travis for a large part of that football game maybe they just run a really complicated scheme and that's why DJ maybe didn't look that great um so there's a new opportunity ahead for this offenses DJ though can't go ER it feels like you know there's four or five shots he took downfield you got to maybe convert on one of those is is that something worth talking about or ultimately is Jeff more on the nose with the defense is the one segment or the one side of the ball that really needs to kind of rise up to make things get back on track Monday against BC no I'm with him and in and you know this is one area where Cory and I disagreed uh earlier in the week I mean I think Cory was more upset about the offense I was more upset I was more upset with the defense during the game um and and after the game and all week um offense L you know honestly there's a couple things you could take away that are really positive uh DJ had free rushers coming right in his face and somehow didn't turn the ball over like I'm gonna give him credit for that there's a couple plays there that should have ended up being huge losses or turnovers that didn't so I'm gonna give him some credit there he's played a lot of football and that's a positive I also think Georgia Tech you know I think Georgia Tech threw some things at them that they didn't have and I think the absence of Alex Atkins probably Loom larger than we thought uh clearly they brought brought some blitzes they brought some pressures the Florida state was not was not expecting and didn't handle them well you think if Alex Atkins is there maybe that helps the other thing is I think they got to do a better job with overall Personnel I think that's my biggest complaint about the offense in that game we talked about it that night uh we've talked about it all week you know settle in on your five offensive linemen settle in on your best running backs and focus on those guys until you get the game in hand some of those pressures were created especially in passing situations you know there's plays where youve got Jaylen Lucas in is the is the pass protecting back and third and long I mean you know there just needs to be a better intentionality in terms of who's on the field and I think we've heard that from Mike norell so I think the offense is gonna play better my biggest concern still is on the defense all right so you've you voiced your opinion on this one Jeff defense needs to kind of rise up I mean is there a specific segment on the defense or is there a specific segment on the offense that could help out the overall success of the team on listen they've got it yeah I wholeheartedly agree with what Ira just said there and and I would disagree if I could because it would be more interesting but I don't I think I I think we're in the same page here listen that was embarrassing and I think Mike was embarrassed he was calling plays that's what he was doing there was plays for people it wasn't a scheme and he also waited too long to come out of it Georgia Tech didn't have to respect anybody throwing the ball over their head so it walked people up and said you're gonna run on second down every second down you're gonna run so we're not going to worry about it yeah that that was not a good day at the office for Mike he's a great coach but he had a bad day I would would expect to see probably as Ira pointed out more intentionality here more focus on the guys that can win you football games worry about getting other people playing time at a later date you you're now in a desperate situation week zero for Florida State gave them a little of a tuneup Boston College meanwhile has not played a single football game don't have a lot to go off on the Eagles but uh there are some trend lines Poss we out there are Matt lay caught up with Kevin Stone over on the BC beat we'll hear from them right after this on the Boston College Monday night do Campbell Stadium reduced capacity as do gets a facelift uh Boston College their head coach doesn't realize that he was talking about on Monday iron jeffy's like oh yeah I've been I've been do Campbell Stadium 990,000 people it's going to be loud um well be 90,000 but I think it still be pretty loud we haven't seen Boston College play a single football game yet under B O'Brien there are some familiar faces over on that side of the ball Thomas casianos trewn Ward after a year in Manhattan Kansas now over there in Boston we had our Matt lay catch up with Kevin Stone of the New England football Journal uh to give us a little preview of the BC Eagles what's up everyone we are back again year two with Kevin Stone from the New England football Journal excited for this game on Monday not not the weekend on Monday today um kind of to start off I mean I guess it's not an overhaul of Boston College roster wise but definitely for the coaching staff bringing Bill oan and uh just kind of tell us the differences there but just walking in there and seeing how it's ran um again having cover the Patriots it's it's an NFL NFL caliber training camp and there is a new standard around BC um you know mediocrity is sort of been The Benchmark for for years around here uh they haven't won eight games since 20 9 I believe it is so uh they're now trying to raise the standard exponentially and uh I guess Monday night we'll see we'll see how far that that standard has been raised already and then as we get into the team got to start out with casianos his coming out party was kind of last year against Florida State uh do you expect him to kind of build on that or what do you expect this year yeah look for me it's about him being a better passer this year I think he ran for over 2,000 yards last year but his interception and touchdown I think was 154 you know 15 TDS 14 picks if you're going to be a good a good quarterback in the ACC that can't happen so for him it's about taking the next step this year um as a passer and as a better decision maker um a lot of his turnovers last year were either forced to just sort of trying to do too much um however he hadn't thrown a pass in three years really before last year all of his high school tape is all him running the football uh BC didn't even know what they had with him as a you know a dropback passer until they started seeing him in practice and in game situations so um he'll be electric with his legs again it's he's obviously one of the the more talented running quarterbacks in the country but for for everyone around here he's got to take that next step as a passer and and a better decision maker this year and then we'll go into the rest of the offense you got the weapons uh wide receivers running backs running back back gets a little interesting considering Trea Ward is originally from Florida State came to BC way of Kansas State but former null still um He's listed as or on the dep chart I believe what do you expect to see from him and then what other weapons can you tell us about Kai roboso will probably start in the back field but you're going to get a heavy dose of of tre Shawn Ward you'll see turbo Richard um you'll see Drell Jones another running back and you might even see Jordan McDonald out of the back field as well that's probably their deepest room is the running back room but then uh outside they have weapons they really haven't had uh in a long time Duran Bradley transfer from Texas Tech big guy outside who can go up and get it sort of body people and box guys out on the sideline you have LS Bond who you guys remember you know last year that's sort of Tommy's go-to Target uh if you will and then another guy Jaden ski he's a local guy around here um you'll hear his name Reed Harris a red shirt freshman um so they're they're deep at receiver again it's just a matter of you know everything is on Tommy's plate now they finally surrounded him with a good cast um it's just a matter of him sort of taking that next step the one thing I will say the offensive line there's two major injuries uh right now Logan Taylor who was a transfer last year and then Jude bowry um who's been out the last few days Jude might play uh Logan is not going to so the the offensive line still a question um I think they can run the ball pretty well but that's pass protection especially against Florida State it worries me a lot so then going into the defensive side of the ball a lot of transfers there as well again new defensive coordinator all that kind of stuff what should we expect to see there just all around uh a lot of pressure I think uh Tim Lewis is the new defensive coordinator sort of known for for exotic looks and uh a lot of pressure so I'm expecting to see guys try to get out the Florida state but that front four I honestly believe is as good as anybody in the ACC uh you have done of an auraku on the side nalk Pawa on the other side and then George Rooks and cam horley in the middle it's it's a really good unit but they're pretty deep as well there's there's a uh about four maybe five guys maybe even six uh that'll rotate in and um so you'll see a lot of fresh bodies on that D line linebacker is it's talented but the depth just really isn't there um you'll see a lot of Davon Crouch K arold uh and a local Guy ow Goan as well at linebacker but um secondary looks pretty good you have Amari Jackson as the number one corner and then uh Ohio State transfer of Brian Turner he'll be a factor Bri bre qu Brown uh he'll be a factor again another deep unit it's just a matter of um like last year can they kind of hold off that Florida State offense thank you Kevin again for coming on uh second straight year for Boston College uh the New England football Journal Kevin Stone thank you again man thank you man appreciate it thanks to Stony and thanks to Matt we'll get a prediction from Matt later on here in the program so Jeff start off with you does it feel like this is kind of an eerily similar matchup for Florida State as as last week you're talking about some a good level of continuity and consistency and Veterans on the offensive side of the ball bunch of question marks on the defensive side of the ball new coordinator or do you think this is a a significant enough drop off in Talent level and continuity between Georgia Tech and Boston College that makes things more favorable for Florida State I it's more favorable for Florida State but I I will say this Bill O'Brien kind of a staple of his offenses has always been to spread you out he'll he'll he'll produce a lot of empty sets for castiano a quarterback and and have four wide and do those kinds of things and that's a problem because obviously if you lose Lane Integrity you can have a guy who as we saw a year ago run wild uh mobile quarterbacks are trouble for every team I hate it when people say oh mobile quarterbacks give Florida State trouble mobile quarterbacks get everybody trouble but when you spread a defense out like that he's only got to make a guy Miss and at the same time we just talk about the passivity with which flate played on defense you know you you know the mush Rush that you hear people talk about where you're trying to contain a quarterback I've never been a fan of it I don't think it works I think it it plays it runs counter to everything that is intuitive about defensive football so they can't do that again they can't do the thing where they're worried about getting beat you got to reset the line of scrimmage I thought they were really soft on the defensive line in this last game nobody reset the line of scrimmage uh you got to be physical intentionally physical at the line of scrimmage reset it and then you got to be smart and make sure you keep Integrity so there are some problems that it presents and listen after that film that Florida State just produced every offensive coordinator is going to produce a Georgia Tech like system until they you show you can stop it I'm running my quarterback to death Florida State already knew Haynes King was a very good college quarterback was a very good and mobile Runner and they did nothing to stop him uh that was an easy bet on the over for 50 yards rushing for Haynes King I do the same thing with castios here uh doesn't mean fora State can't Corral this group and I really think fora State can exploit the BC defense that should be a much more even performance from Florida State offensively uh in the end I like Florida State and I know we're going to do our predictions later but I do think that this game could be still in the balance in the third quarter which is unsettling when you're coming off a game that you just lost in upset fashion what's your take on things are are there enough parallels to last week that makes you think you know four quarter battle maybe some uh you know nail biting chewing going on for Flor State fans or is there enough of a drop off enough question marks on the Boston College side of things that sets up more favorably for Flor State definitely sets up more favorably but yeah there I mean after what we saw last week first of all there's not many teams on the schedule though I'm going to predict Florida State's going to have an easy win against until we see them play much better uh from a defensive standpoint though yeah I think I agree with with Jeff they cannot be tentative that's what got them into trouble last year against castalanos they just kind of sat back and gave him these huge that they gave him the whole field to operate with one of the things I thought that Adam fer uh said this week that was very appropriate very accurate and will be important this week is you have to take grass if you're a defensive player you can't the longer you let them be in Space the tougher it is going to be on you you've got to set some edges you've got to take Gras get close in on them under control and then you've got to you got to finish the plays make tackles in space those are all areas they struggled last year the other thing that bothered me and you talked about Haynes King Jeff you know Adam Faller basically said that they underestimated his speeds now this is not the coaching staff but I think the players did they he said he got the outside of us sometimes because maybe he was faster than we thought he was what do you what how how did this team go into this game so overconfident and I I I still believe that's a huge part of the problem in that game it can't be the case this week I mean you if it is the case this week they've got huge huge problems so this is a big game for them but uh I agree with Jeff I mean I think the the offense for BC is going to be a challenge castalanos look man it is all feast or famine and sometimes from quarter to quarter there are games where he will look there are plays and quarters where you're like oh my gosh how are they gonna stop this guy then he'll throw the ball to the other team two plays in a row and so you know you kind of have to hope you don't get just the All-Star castanas the all good castellanas because they if you look at their season last year they had some impressive wins they also had some awful losses and I think a lot of it stems from how he plays and it'll this is the first game for Bill O'Brien with castalanos and that'll be uh we'll have to see how that all manifests throughout the course of this broadcast Jeff Cameron you've given us several keys I feel like to Victory Is there is there a singular key or maybe a statistic other than obviously the final scoreboard points uh that you think flate needs to uh have the edge on to to pull out a victory on Monday night because I I think at this point style points don't matter just get the win and keep moving on hey you get a tackle they tackled terribly that's the other part of this we can point out so many things they did wrong in this last game but bad angles and poor tackling were Chief amongst them now they were tenative too so you know you got a triumphant of terrible play there on the on the defensive side uh I I you got to tackle you gota we got to get him to the ground you you know make sure he feels you you know you talk about Mike norell talks about he wants to feel the energy from his team well when you're playing defensive football you want a mobile quarterback to feel you when you get the opportunity to get him to the ground I thought they waited too long last year in this game against Boston College to start to take away some of that take some of that grass away when they did it you saw they were more effective and you know why because it plays into the defensive instinct to go make plays and to hit to play fast and to play violent and to hit I gotta see a team uh that is you know frothing at the mouth they've got to be furious about the way they played last week because it really does undercut the tenants of good football you cannot play football by being soft and slow and they were both last week so I I you know tackle tackle play smart play aggressive tackle sounds so easy but sometimes the game is that easy blocking and tackling figure that it's always going to be one of those as the key to Victory which one are you leaning towards Irish Chael yeah my focus is the same mostly you know look man mostly the run defense um and and you know they've got some good backs they have good they had a good running game last year they added Tron Ward as was mentioned earlier and castalanos is a factor as well if the if they can limit the running game and not be not let Georgia not let Boston College excuse me just kind of control the ball the way Georgia Tech did I think they're gonna be fine I BC's receivers don't scare anybody and especially against this secondary I am curious about some of the some of the Personnel packages you know that we see in this game and and who doesn't play that played a lot last week I I'm not as you know yeah the linebackers were terrible last week I feel like they can play better I want to see some different Personnel choices we'll see what that group looks like but yeah man if they if they can stop the run or at least just kind of control the run I love their chances in this game if they can't and they're going to be in a dog fight to the to the last minute again all right then there's some keys to victory for you folks but how some how about some predictions some exra predictions let's put our names out there let's put some numbers out there we begin with the staff over at warchant.com that's not part of today's panel Tom Lang take it away last time there was Fanfare pump circumstance on on the way to Dublin this time it's going to be very simple I'm nervous about this one I don't have a great feeling for how it's going to go doesn't mean it won't go okay just don't have a great feeling for how the team is going to respond and I think the coaching staff feels the same way I think there's going to be a moment early against Boston College where Florida state is going to decide what it wants to be for the season I hope they choose the right path and until I see it not go through the hoop for a second time in a row I'm choosing to visualize that the ball hits the back of the rim rattles around drops through the net Florida state is one in one on the season Florida state gets a win and Florida state gets into the bye where everybody can exhale after a 38- 24 win over Boston College it's Florida State's home opener trying to get back on the schneide after laying a big egg in Dublin Ireland last week I I like the noes to bounce back strong in this one I think they got the wakeup call they're going to take DC seriously especially since they almost knocked them off last year in that upset and I like the fact that they have seen castalano BC's quarterback once they faced a mobile quarterback in week one so I think they'll be a little bit more prepared in terms of taking the right angles making the tackles on defense give me the NES and give me the points too I think FSU covers in this one they cover strong Florida State 32 BC 13 what's up sports fans uh just landed here at beautiful uh Orlando airport on Friday afternoon from my honeymoon in Europe I believe there's a football game played there in Dublin on Saturday that I was at but I don't remember much of it um anyway um going on to this game we got the the NES first Boston College and look I'm not that drugged up this time while I'm reading this uh so I handled it more like a champ um look I I think Florida state is better than they looked um they are not a a dominant team obviously but I still feel like that off I think norell will make some very good adjustments needed adjustments from week one to week two and we're going to we're going to figure out who can play who they believe in what they didn't like uh last Saturday and then what they really believe in now come Monday and I think he's going to have a better team I think they going to play better harder more physical smarter all the above and uh you know Boston College is no joke again a bow Team with a dynamic running quarterback but I'm still going to pick Florida State by the same score well no I'll say 3120 this time Florida State so I think this game is going to be another kind of low-scoring run the Rock game from both teams uh Boston College may try to stretch the field a little bit they got that new receiver from Texas Tech uh who I think is really good he was good as a freshman kind of down sophomore year but was very good as a freshman uh but I do think the defenses are going to do well I think the Florida State defensive line is going to step up and they're going to have to because this is a matchup nightmare for them when it comes to the Run um I have this game I'll go 214 Florida State I do think uh Mike norell with dju will finally stretch the field a little bit and that'll be in the end what gets them to win shout out Cory Clark for making an appearance this week that was awesome it's good to see him he uh he he sent me a text that he's uh he's back and back on the clock and uh I just sent him back a A Hallelujah GI um GL I've never been never been happier to see Cory CL Clark back in my life yeah he'll be back on the uh wake up warchamp Podcast that he hosts uh I think starting on Monday's program he'll be out there with Jeff Cameron on Sunday at the corner pocket Bar and Grill shaking hands back in his natural habitat so go hang out with Jeff and uh Cory over at the corner pocket Bar and Girl 7 o'clock on Sunday all right with that said then gentlemen we uh we bring it in close all of our mugs right there is it true this thing started out at 20 and a half or 21 and a half on some books like a week ago I think it was back in it was back in the summer I think it was before I think it was the initial lines in the summer I think had it had it that high yeah all right we're at 16 and a half as we uh sit here and Converse about this so I'll begin with you Irish show fell Florida State taking on Boston College again Monday night 7:30 ESPN nationally televised game um for all the ills of Saturday in Dublin they put together a good performance on Monday night feels like they can probably regain the narrative and change the trajectory of their season how do you see the one playing out on Monday yeah unfortunately I mean I I think a lot of it's going to feel similar um you know for stretches of this game I mean I I can't predict that this defense is going to play a sound football game until I see it U that was so jarring what we saw last week and I don't think Georgia Tech's very good um so you know I still think Georgia Tech's going to be a seven and5 maybe six and six football team um so you know that was it was just it's taking me a while it's gonna be a while before I kind of cleanse that out of my mind um but I think Florida State's offense is gonna have more success as Jeff said earlier I don't like BC's defense very good very very much at all um and they didn't do a ton in terms of transfer Acquisitions um so I I like Florida State to win the game but I don't I would not pick him to cover right now I'm gonna say Florida State 34 Boston College 24 Jeff Cameron thoughts on this one give us your score prediction please iron and I have the exact same offensive output for Florida State I was looking at 34 to 17 in this football game I'd be elated with that to be honest with you and that's kind of where we're at I'd be elated by winning over BC 34- 17 that's not you know that's kind of that's the tough part I do think we should see some different Personnel we already know we are a couple guys basically lost their job last weekend um you know and one of the safeties certainly did and see probably more of juice crier in this game I'd like to believe uh I was not satisfied with the answers that Adam Fuller gave this week as to why juice was not in the game there I mean there that had to be a an internal issue like there's no that was not that was not a rotation issue he just didn't want to say it yeah yeah what's weird to me though is if you're in I don't want to say in trouble I don't know what the problem was but let's say he was in trouble or you know slap on the wrist well he played on special teams right I've never seen a situation where a guy suspended for a game and he still played plays on special teams like it's just weird I I it was unacceptable as what it was because he was a big part of the rotation all camp and I think he's got a chance to be a good football player and he's physical uh and they need some of those guys so we'll see bottom line is I do think for state will get the win I think they'll play fast I think they'll play hungry to get a win obviously and they gonna be in front of those home fans they gota cleanse themselves from that awful awful performance I'll take him 34 to 17 but IA may not be wrong I could see that when he said 34- 24 it kind of clicked with me so good pick Ira we'll see hopefully uh hope hopefully the end result is uh what we want to see 3127 um I don't know which is more weird the fact that I think Flor State can skill score over 30 points after the way they played last Saturday or the fact that uh you know we I think this defense is not as good as what my ey saw for like 25 preseason practices and they're going to let a team that hasn't played one single football game come to their house and put up like more than three touchdowns I don't know it's all crazy the three of us aren't real high on this defense I mean the thing was as you go back and watch it which we all have during the week it gets it's more and more infuriating you know like in the moment you know you're just thinking oh maybe they schemed up some stuff and whatever and it's like man it is just abdicating responsibilities I mean across the board dude's just not playing defense again I'm gonna talk up a decent amount of it to overconfidence um and I hope that's the case and I think we'll see maybe a much different defense as you said um but man it's hard to pick it until we see them look a lot different than what they looked oh last thing on the way out little bonus content as we're recording this and and by the time I get it edited and up on the site it probably will be like third quarter of the Miami Florida game everything goes all right I know Florida State fans Jeff you know obviously a lot of the wind out of the sales but it feels like this first weekend could go a long way to helping some of that stuff out they were able to beat Boston College and maybe have some s points which none of us are asking for or necessarily have predicted but if if that Florida Miami game is a slop Fest and if Georgia kicks Clemson's teeth in and maybe A&M upsets Notre Dame you probably have a little bit more I don't know pep in your set if your floor safe fans gonna be a really fun opening weekend feels like yeah I'm excited to sit back and watch everybody else play we were on the national stage before everybody else and then we we had to air our Dirty Laundry obviously and look awful other teams will look awful today I promise you there will be some teams that surprisingly don't play good football and their fans will be wondering why that was as well uh but I I do I Circle back to to us if you will uh as Florida State's just got to play better that was stunning to me m norell is a very good football coach very good football coach and you wouldn't have known it by watching that performance over in Dublin and I think I think he was he was shocked but he also uh I don't think suffers fools lightly and I think he's a guy that probably looked in the mirror you could hear it in his voice he was very angry I think uh he'll put his hands on things a little bit more here as we move forward uh that can't happen right he's got good football players that can't happen so I I think think they'll play better but I do worry a little bit about some of the Personnel on defense so it's a it's a true test and we'll see if they pass it because if they lose this game it can go sideways in a hurry and you'll lose fan interest and everything else we all know how uh ugly that could get but I I don't think they're gonna lose this game Ira as The Unofficial spokesman for FSU Twitter how how excited are those folks going to be if it's a ugly 173 Florida Miami game and Clemson doesn't look great again and Notre Dame you know lays an egg on that TV how much is that going to go towards helping this fan base get back full and board on this wagon oh man there's nothing better than seeing your Rivals suck I mean if your team's great that's great but seeing your Rivals go through pain is huge man I have seen more mentions from Miami fans on Twitter this week then I mean they came out of the woodwork this week they are fired up about FSU football in the way they looked in the first week so Florida State fans are just going to give it back one of those fan bases is going to feel the wrath of FSU fans especially if FSU looks halfway decent Monday night I just want to say though that's evidence of the great stick tutiven that fans have in general all fans all fans think about this Miami hasn't mattered in 20 years they haven't mattered in the football playing Universe in 20 plus years they've never won the ACC they've been here forever they've never won the conference and they're talking chunk like it's like it's 2000 like we're in the 90s it's unbelievable right and so Florida State fans can bounce back it's in the fan jeans you don't have to the evidence could be overwhelming that you're terrible and terrible for years and you're like oh no we're gonna be all right we'll be all right it takes one game let Florida State blow BC out and watch how big the chess gets boys how big the chess gets for Florida State fans right after that let's just uh the one the one the one uh moment in time this week I'm not excited for we'll see what happens I'm not sure the time Georgia Tech and Georgia State kick off but but if Georgia Tech looks like crap for part of that game which I wouldn't be surprised about then uh it's FSU V have to wear it a little bit longer as people point out that's the team that you just lost to all right folks you don't have to wait much longer to see Flor State take on their next opponent that's Boston College on Monday 7:30 ESPN pregame show with Jeff Cameron and Tom Lang 1 pm on Monday there'll be a meet and greet game day over at Hotel Indigo at 4 o'clock so if you're in the area come hang out um if
