Intro [Music] we have some pretty interesting college football news today and I know what you're thinking college football news beardo the national championship was two weeks ago we're in the off season but when you can take college football away from the fans you can't take the fans out of college football so what we're looking at today is Miami tight end cam uh cam McCormack is granted a ninth year of Eligibility so let's get into this Miami Cam McCormick tight end cam McCormack said Thursday that he is going to return to play for the hurricanes in 2024 and he announced on Twitter that appreciate all of the support # 84 resilient # goains and for his last ride but this will be his ninth year of college football eligibility McCormack who began his career at Oregon in 2016 Miss significant parts of four uh different seasons due to injury which along with his red shirt and the Co year of 2020 uh that allowed him to petition the NCAA for an unprecedented ninth season of Eligibility holy smokes so red Career Stats shirted 2016 2017 um you know his his time at Oregon like they said uh riddled with injuries only six receptions 98 yards one touchdown 2018 one reception for negative -2 yards two uh Miss 2019 missed 2020 2021 one reception for 16 yards 2022 10 receptions for 66 yards and last year 2023 this current season uh eight receptions for 62 yards and Mr cam McCormick is going to be 26 years old by the time the 2024 2025 college football season is underway cam mccor this is crazy this Final Thoughts whole covid extra year of Eligibility plus his red shirt season and all the injuries that the NCAA has granted him a freaking ninth year of Eligibility this guy is going to be able to collect Social Security by the time he's done with with his college football career we have guys like CJ strout who is starting an NFL playoff game this weekend at the age of 22 cam McCormick is returning for his ninth season of college football at the age of 26 this is absolutely insane this is just kind of getting ridiculous uh I mean we've seen in Georgia Georgia ston Bennett the dude was like 26 years old when he won back-to-back national championships with Georgia and now he's you know away from the Rams he he was picked up I think he was an undrafted free agent with the Rams or maybe he did get drafted uh but you know he had a decent training camp and then just kind of disappeared nobody knows what ston Bennett's doing uh but anyways that's besides the point uh McCormick ninth year of college football eligibility what do you guys think let me know your thoughts and opinions down in the comment section below but if you like this video give it a thumbs up I'd really appreciate it share with a friend who you think would enjoy it subscribe to this channel if you're new and we'll talk to you again soon
