2024 NASCAR Michigan Results (Cup, Xfinity)

Intro/Daytona and Milwaukee hello everyone and welcome to today's video now today I'm now going to be talking about the Michigan International Speedway weekend for Xin series and the cup series however I want to give out my thoughts and prayers first to Scot Bloom's family and friends um if you haven't heard Scott Bloomquist sadly passed away obviously he was he was a dirt racing Legend in a I think I think in a late model scene I'm pretty sure so I think he's won like multiple championships and races as well and he was fear quite a lot of of his competitors I think he also ran a couple NASCAR races I'm pretty sure as well so my thoughts and prayers those gr to his to his families and friends and obviously everyone as well in the D Community who obviously are very sad of his sudden passing um so I just want to quickly Lally just get that out there um just giving out my thoughts and prayers to everyone attracted by his death for next week's schedule now it will be at the Tona and also I think for the first time in a while actually the Milwaukee mile for the truck series so cup 6 series I'll be at Daytona while the truck series will be at at the Milwaukee Mile truck series Saturday August 24 will be practice qualifying for the truck series at 400 p.m. for for practice and 4:30 p.m. for qualifying apparently will not be on TV or really anywhere Sunday August 25th will then at 4 P p.m. time will then be the truck service race for the running of the Luna 175 that'll be on FS1 and MRN x f series that'll be just a one day show on Friday August 23rd at 300 p.m. time will then be qualifying for the Xin Series race that'll be on USA and on NY sport while 7:30 p.m. will then be the Xin Series race for the running of the wild 250 presented by cooca thatby on USA streaming on NBC Sports MRN and serus XM and then for the cup series at 5:05 p.m. we'll be qualifying at at Daytona that be on USA streaming on NBC Sports Mr Series XM then August 24th at 7:30 p.m. will then be the Cup seros race for the running of the C zero sugar 400 they'll be on NBC streaming on NBC Sports MRN and Series XM let's have a look now at thein series results and winner of The Xfinity Results nasc Finity series at Michigan is Justin all guy Follow by Shon Creed who comes second for the 100th time John H Anthony Alfredo Sammy Smith Noah Gregson Matt BTO shout out to him getting into top 10 Taylor G Cesar Barella my God what a run from him and AJ Omer ran out the top 10 by Parker kman lean Honeyman Ryan SE Ryan Ellis and Jeremy Clemens ran out of top 15 well let's talk about Riley herbs who is rumored to possibly maybe join 231 if they actually get a charter but he kind of cleared himself basically com to turn three um he went down to the very bottom and cleared himself basically I think often O A Ryan SE I believe and triggered a massive well it was mainly like a three car I think Sam was a part of it as well so his year continues just to have horrible luck but my god um yeah it was a very vicious hit um by hers and luckily he is okay which is a great sign but my God what um it was a bit of a bonehead move from righ hers I'll be honest so winning on the Indianapolis M Speedway after an amazing finish between him Alara um and Cole kuster now to him making a very bonehead move of clearing himself in of coming to turn three yeah not the best of be Hest um from uh R hers but yeah luckily he is okay which is a good sign but I guess the main thing is Ryan se's Brother Kyle seek I don't have to I don't get to talk to him that much about it but um he did something I was not expecting at Michigan out of all places which it's flipping down the backstretch on the lap I'm pretty sure Cesar bakerella got got into Carson quaffle who in turn Oly got turned around Chandon Smith and Kyle Sig both them react to it and Kyle SE goes flipping down the backstretch I I have no words for it I mean I was not expecting a flip at Michigan to happen in series or even like anywhere really like obviously yes we've had flip of Charlotte most recently um thanks to Chris busher and some other weird flips as well but they have a flip at Michigan I mean I guess it is kind of a super speedway I guess you can say but it's mainly a cookie cutter half a mile track but it's still like I'm still surprised about it either way um but luckily Kyle SE is okay which is a great sign but yeah I mean I think like the last time someone flipped over in Michigan was Elliot Sadler I believe in 200000 I think when he was driving for the Wood Brothers I can't remember but that was maybe like the last time I remember vividly that someone flipped at Michigan so um yeah I'm I'm beyond shocked and it happened and that was a fin lap and that basically ended the race and Justin ol guy gets to win his first win as well um of of this season so that locks himself officially into the playoffs I believe or maybe it was the second I can't remember as of right now but let's now looking at fish outside of top 15 um Austin Hill he was kind of nowhere I'll be Hest fin down in 18th Carson qua who was part of the rec finishes down in 26 chanler Smith 27th KY seek who flipped over 28th Al Cole cussa had a had a had a suspension problem uh who else Joey gase fuel pump got Kyle weatherman pretty sure th out the fal caution before there was a red but after there was a red flag for rain I believe brenon po oil pump Daniel Dy lws Allen all them were p in Brandon Jon Sam mayor and Riley hers all them were P that inent B where hers basically clear himself and one driver about the callif which I just realized that been that being Morgan B uh for the 53 car for Joey Gates racing let's have a look now at the Xin Series standings so this is what the standings now looks like after Xfinity Standings Michigan C cus is still the lead on the lead by 12 points over over Justin all guy Follow by Austin Hill Chandler Smith AJ on beninger Riley her Sheldon Creed Jesse love poker cman and Samy smth ran out of top 10 Follow by Ryan SE Shane ber and Sam mayor Brandon Jones and Anthony Alfred ran out of top 15 the biggest movies are alinger C SM Sammy Smith and Van gbur and all of them going up one spot while the biggest losers were herbs love SE and mayor all them going down one spot last night have looking at the cup series results and the winner of the NASCAR cup series at Cup Results Michigan is Tyler Ric followed by William Byron Ty Gibbs Kyle Bush Browski Chris busher Zan Smith Daniel Suarez Denny Hamlin and Carson Hall ran out of the top 10 then we have Ryan priest Noah gron Ricky s house Jr I don't know why just Des Jun there but whatever Harrison buron and Chase Elliot ran out the top 15 well Carl Arison are so much of you saying that you're possibly better than Max happen which is a very bold claim to say um yeah let's just say he didn't really make his case very well as he basically G himself and triggered a multi- power wreck which includes some big names like Bubba walers Chris busher I believe was was also p ofit as well um who else I swear Jor Le was P ofit um but that was some pretty big names who are looking for a playoff spot um who were caught up in that multi- power rack that happened on a front stretch so but yeah I mean lison he was very very dominant in the early half of the race um was like yesterday that happened before got rained out so yeah not a good look there for loris in and is not and is also not better as well when we have a look at the standings pretty soon for the cup series as he's kind of dropped down quite a few spots but hopefully he does balance back and he is still in contention of getting the regular season Championship it is still pretty close so there's so there's still definitely a chance but as for the likes of Bubba Wallace and maybe not Chris Bush but I think like other drivers that also P especially Bubba who was a p yeah he's on the back foot on that now after that incident so yeah that's see how that goes for him he is obviously he he is very good at Super Speedway so he might win at Daytona but we have obviously seen a dayt turn a couple of years that um definitely a curveball can obviously wreck someone else's plans on making it to the playoffs but the other big thing is I was leix F series I talked about the K SE had a blow over and flipped over on the backstretch well that was basically a carbon copy of what happened the cup series thanks to Cory lejoy he has slipped twice this year yeah I mean he I don't know he was trying to retaliate against no Gregs on something I have no idea but he just got loose himself and you know flipped over did a blowy so yeah I mean I don't know how to feel about that I mean there's definitely going to be I imagine it might be some safety measures coming into next season but I I if they do reduce the horsepower that's going to be very controversial and what really be a fan of that some fans have said that might be because of a headwind uh going on the backstretch which is definitely fair because considering headwind you know basically L going practically I think it's the opposite way of where the cars are running I think maybe I'm wrong um but they definitely played a part of it and fli the car over because of it very because of a very smooth base so yeah that's we don't really get to see that that often and considering that happened at Michigan IAL tracks it's pretty woring and I think the first time as well since rookie Craven I believe somewhere in the 1990s or something maybe 1974 I can't actually remember I know I saw a stats somewhere about it that one driver has flipped twice in one year so um cor Joy um congratulations you have flipped twice um in your career which is most than a lot of drivers can say so I mean that's something he can maybe take away but I mean it's def it's probably not something he really wants to remember but um either way that is that is how it goes thanks to Corey lejoy um let's now look now at the other off of the top 15 uh because we have some pretty big names here uh Ryan blenny who won stage one finishes down in 18th Josh Barry who was struggling at the very at like the very start of this race and it was like d like a last place for the majority of yesterday finishes up 22nd which is so pretty good Mar who I'm pretty sure um calls us a OT I believe so he finishes down in 24th Rost hasing down 25th Bubba Wallace part of that little instant there um with Kyle Larson Bowman I think might have as well B might be wrong uh who else corla Joy L flipped over Chase Brisco right actually in front in front of him in 31st had a suspension problem Joey lagano uh had had had the incident with Kyle lison who finishes down in 34th including chrisopher Bell and Todd gilland let's have look down at the cup Ser standings and my God is getting tight for the Cup Standings regular season Championship Tyler reic now is your new points leader coming into Daytona Follow by Chase Elliott D Hamlin Kyle Larson Ryan blay William Byron Christopher Bell Martin J Browski and Ty Gibbs right out the top 10 then we have Alex Bowman Chris busher Ross Chast Dean Bubba Wallace and Joey Le R out ran out the top 15 the biggest winners were Ric Elliot Hamlin Byron Gibbs busher and Chine all them going up one spot but the Biggest Loser was definitely Kyle LS moves down from first down to fourth so just a reminder the Outro/Daytona and Milwaukee next p schedule race will be at a tour and at Milwaukee for the cup and expence series at
