they're trying to court these voters they want them back inside the tent and there are some difficulties doing that because some of these voters are completely irreconcilable they're just radical Pro Palestinian in fact Pro Hamas the Hamas flag was at the front of the procession at the pro Palestinian rally and I pointed out to the gentleman there because I can read Arabic I pointed out that he was was holding it upside down and he corrected himself but that's who they're trying to court those are their vot voters well I recall early on on the ively colleges they were marching with the Italian flag that they thought it was the Palestinian flag but so they're not particularly bright well let's get down to this the agenda what Trump should do in his first 100 days first of all did I hear you right saying that you wrote this book in about 10 days yes I had the idea for the book after Trump was wrongfully convicted in Manhattan on those ridiculous charges and I said look I have a lot of anger about this as many people do it's terrible to see this happening to our country but let me try to channel it in a positive direction and let me imagine that Trump overcomes all of this and he actually takes office in January 2025 what would that look like so I approached my agent and he said well if you want this to come out you're going to have to turn it around before the party conventions that means you have two weeks to finish this ge so I said okay I better get to work and I did it in 10 days I I've never written a book in 10 days it's an amazing feat um and you have wonderful suggestions in this book so let's let's get started here the book is the agenda what Trump should do in the first 100 days amazon.com you can go on my social sites we've linked to it there and and Joel is an extraordinary thinker not just an extraordinary writer he's very very sharp and um pick out a few of the issues you have in the book that you think are top Shu I remember rean ran on three or four issues you know there were some tributary issues but pretty much the same three or four issues what are you recommending well I start with the rule of law because that to me is the fundamental thing for any Republic but it's under threat with all the prosecutions and civil cases against Donald Trump Trump and all the political prisoners that this Administration has created my former boss Steve Bannon is one of them he wrote the forward to the book and he's in prisoned for defying the stalinist January 6 committee so unbelievable you've got to Pardon those people pardon the nonviolent people the grandmother who might have walked across the lawn on the west side of the capital on January 6th that person shouldn't be in prison and go after the people who have actually threatened this country who've actually tried to overthrow a democratic election revoke the security clearance of all the people who said the hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation investigate the investigators investigate the January 6 committee this country needs to understand once again and believe that Justice truly is nonpartisan and that it's fair to both sides so we start there and then the next priority is the border and I'm really a one isue voter in this election I'm a border voter because so many of our problems stem from the chaos at our Southern border so you can reinstate the remain in Mexico policy you can build a wall you can end catch and release all of those are within the president's executive authority to do he could do it on the first day so that's also top priority and we get to foreign policy as well Trump could bring the war between Russia and Ukraine to a close simply by calling for peace talks and making it clear that there's no blank check we want to make sure we check Vladimir Putin but we've also got to make sure that there's some movement toward a resolution here and he could say that he's going to let Israel defend itself however it needs to and send Iran a message that this era of Biden playing both sides and weakening America is over and all of that he could do on the first day in office and then on the economy and inflation look on inflation the president's powers are limited you've got the Federal Reserve youve got Congress but he can do certain things that can set the agenda he can say for example he's going to veto any budget that comes to him that's not balanced because we have to get the federal spending under control it's the reason that this inflationary spiral started in the first place under Joe Biden so he can do certain things within his powers as president without breaking the boundaries as Biden has done and been shot down by the Supreme Court so many times Trump can do things that are within his authority and he can set the country back on track toward growth and low inflation and he can do that with fear with no fear of re-election cuz he won't w't run for re-election he can't and he can push to get these things done absolutely 100% but let me let me Circle back a little bit here what if Iran you know we have Mike Turner chairman of I guess what is he the intelligence Committee in the house who said by year end he believes uh Iran will have a breakout not just the nuclear material but a nuclear weapon now that's early on in their nuclear weapon U you know before they develop dozens and dozens of them shouldn't we do something about that we should and you know what's very interesting to me is that Israel has managed to keep Iran at Bay they said they were going to attack Israel after Israel We Believe anyway because Israel hasn't acknowledged it but Israel took out the head of Hamas during the Iranian presidential inauguration three weeks ago now Iran said they were going to retaliate but they haven't done anything yet and I think they're scared I think they're scared because Ismael had the head of Hamas was taken out in their Capital under their protection and it's the Trump method Trump went after solomani the same way and Iran tried to retaliate in a perun way but they were effectively deterred I think their leadership is scared that they are going to become the Target and they need to know that they can be so Israel could decapitate that leadership which is weak to begin with that people don't support it and wipe out their nuclear site we're going to return very readable it's Compact and it's very uh very thoughtful the agenda what Trump should do in his first 100 days now before we get to that I think his campaign is really focused now Joel I think he's focusing on the issues he is uh doing more press events he is hitting these U these states these Battleground States I mean it really looks like a a fairly professional campaign to me does it to you it does and I've actually been impressed every day I'd say for the last 10 days I think they've improved I think JD Vance has been a big asset I think he has also sharpened his game and I was impressed today before I went over to the protest at the Democratic Convention I went over to Trump Tower they had a whole press event there with Senators Rick Scott and Ron Johnson talking about kamla Harris's policies so you're right they are focused on policy and they're projecting an era of confidence like they can overcome whatever advantages the Democrats have in the media and vote by mail and all of that and they can actually win this thing so it is getting sharper and stronger and it's actually quite close isn't it I mean with all the hundreds of millions of not billions in free in kind contributions from the Press just you know slobbering all over her and uh even considering that she's in no runaway position she's not five points ahead or like dukus was on George HW Bush 17 points ahead none of that's going on right now no she's not and I think the Democrats and the media poured so much propaganda into kamla Harris but maybe the timing wasn't right for them August tends to be a time when people tune out take their family vacations maybe people have just learn not to trust the media you know someone pointed out that this is the same Playbook they ran with Barack Obama where they inflated him to almost Godlike status and we've seen it before the first time they did it maybe it worked but she's not pulling in any Independence there are no Republicans who are a little soft on Trump who are thinking of jumping over and you know when she chose Tim wals instead of Shapiro instead of a governor from a swing state with 19 electoral votes big mistake I think she signaled yeah she signaled she's going for the left she's trying not to antagonize the anti-israel people in her party who are outside her convention right now she's not reaching out to the middle so she's not going to pick up any ground that Joe Biden won in 2020 she's not going to add any states the battle is on her Turf Trump is going after the states that Biden won and so she's got to play defense no matter what the media do and I think that she needs as you say to have a much bigger lead at this point if she's going to have a chance at competing I think the momentum is in the opposite direction I think Trump is biting into her lead and he's overtaking her in some of the Swing States and he's going to start building momentum as he retools his campaign for the fall now this first debate um I mean she'll come in there with some memorized lines and you know some of the class Warfare stuff where she'll try and draw attention she will lie about the tax cuts and things of that sort I'm a prosecutor a convicted felon I think it's kind of smart if reports are true that Tulsi gabt has been brought in to try and give a little bit of advice because she absolutely eviscerated Harris yes she was very good against Harris but you've also got to study the debate against Mike Pence in 2020 and what kamla Harris did in the Senate and what she did against Pence was she often complained that she was being interrupted that's obviously not a substantive argument and she wasn't being interrupted by Pence or anybody else but that's a sore point with many viewers especially female voters and they will play the clip of her saying excuse me I'm speaking now or something like that and that will be all that her voters know about the debate they won't pay attention to the issues they won't pay attention to the arguments they'll just say that she stood up for a woman's right to speak and this ugly male politician this bullied Donald Trump was trying to shut her up how do you count that Warren's trick you know it's just got to be Trump talking to his voters debates are no longer about who wins and who has the better arguments it's how each side portrays the debate to their own voters and so Trump's got to use the debate as a platform to speak to the country and to speak to his voters and to The Independents who she is not appealing to so he's just got to use it to communicate his message he can beat her but that's not even the point she's going to tell her followers that she won and half of them will believe it but he's just got to talk to his voters and talk about the agenda yes and he's got to have just the way it is the way Reagan did a few onliners himself they kind of put her on her heels where she has to explain herself or defend herself as well the book is the agenda what Trump should do in his first 100 days it's a fascinating book now what do you do when it comes to the Constitution and you have a whole chapter plenty in yes there's plenty in the book about strengthening the Constitution and look there are many neglected areas that presidents haven't done much about in the past one of them is freedom of religion which I think this country really needs to emphasize we're going through a kind of spiritual crisis as a nation and if you look at the broad sweep of American History there have often been religious revivals in this country revivals of faith that have invigorated the nation's belief in itself not just in a higher power but those two things are connected when we believe in a higher power we have more confidence the president can lead on faith and on religious liberty he can lead first of all by having an invocation at White House Press briefings and at other White House events we never see that somehow the Senate and the House of Representatives open their daily meetings with an invocation we don't see the president do that well we could see it in a second Trump term that's interesting president could also yeah and the president could also take steps to make sure people understand the basis of religious liberty in this country you know George Washington wrote that letter to the Jewish community at Newport Rhode Island promising that Jews would never have to be afraid in this country that's not just a promise to Jews that's a promise to all Americans about religious liberty so I think that by emphasizing religious liberty among other aspects of the Constitution the president can lead the way and again there are many great ideas about how to strengthen the Constitution I loved your book The Liberty amendments and the White House can endorse the Article 5 convention idea president can use the bully pulpit to encourage more states to sign on to that but there are also things president Trump can do right away on day one first week of his administration first 100 days and he can do them within his own power and the reason I wanted to focus on what he can do is we've seen in the past that even with the Republican Congress you're not always guaranteed to get president Trump's agenda through and there are some things that can't wait also you know that when he takes the oath of office the media are going to try to prevent him from governing and their story is immediately going to be let's talk about the candidates for 20 28 he can't run again he's a lame duck on day one so he's got to come in there with a slew of things that he can do right away now that's very very important and of course the vast administrative state will try and sabotage him you got Rasin already saying they're going to be fighting him in the house and all I think he should put together really his own little war room to deal with these people people who are experienced you know top-notch lawyers to fight off these these elements so it doesn't consume the White House but they must fight them off because otherwise they will succeed and um there are things like that I think he can do and he should do and what happens if he doesn't get elected well of course that's a possibility but look I think that KLA Harris's ideas can't work they just can't work I live in California which is a beautiful state but nothing that she's proposing has worked in California it's all been tried from the housing subsidies to the rising minimum wage which is now causing fast food workers to be laid off and restaurants to close you know the plastic bag ban that she championed and that Democrats Champions 10 years ago has resulted in more plastic bags being thrown away not fewer so everything she's proposing to do on a national level price controls you know Governor Gavin Newsome has imposed price controls on the insurance industry now you can't get home insurance in California all the companies are leaving so everything she's proposing has already been tried in her home state and it's never worked and you want if you want to stump a Democrat who you're having an argument with over who to vote for just ask them to name one kamla Harris achievement aside from getting elected what is she done and they'll never be able to answer because she has no record of accomplishment and everything she's proposing on a national level has been tried in California so she could win but I think that the result of her win if it happened would be devastating to her and her party and look the media won't report it but also at some point they can't avoid it they have to talk about inflation now because Americans are demanding to know what should be done about inflation and you're seeing even in places like the Washington Post in CNN analysts who are coming on and saying look the Soviets tried this and it didn't work for them either we got red lines there so at some point they can't turn their attention away from real it's going to hit them as well and look she could win and there's going to have to be an effort at opposing her if she does but I think this is a winnable election for Donald Trump and he's got to focus on inspiring his own voters to believe that he can overcome all of this he can overcome the media bias Hollywood early voting vote by mail all the things that Democrats have used right to run their own turnout operation and if he focuses on the agenda if he focuses on what he can deliver on day one then I think he can Inspire confidence it's all about turning out his own voters the media bias is there and we write about it and complain about it and we should but the media are doing their job which is to turn out Democrat voters it's no longer to report the truth as you've pointed out in on freedom of the press they're turning Democrat voters let me get let me just remind people this is a fantastic book the agenda what Trump should do in his first 100 days a fantastic book I'm encouraging it on amazon.com and I would end this way Jo Pollock as you were speaking this just came across Reuters Harris Super PAC founder says public polls are too optimistic the founder of the main outside spending group back in Camala Harris presidential bid says their own opinion polling is less Rosy than public polls suggest and warn the Democrats face of much closer races in key States trony mlan president of Future Ford a super political action committee has raised hundreds of millions of dollars to back Harris in November five election spoke on Monday during an event hosted by the University of Chicago Institute of politics quote our numbers are much less Rosy than what you're seeing in the public he said and he rarely talks publicly they add and so that is uh pretty interesting so so the message here is we're not going to get cocky but don't be dispirited just double whatever effort you can put into this campaign whether you volunteer or call people or text people or email people or or make donations and make sure you vote early and make sure your friends and family vote early just do everything you can do and do it on steroids because even Axelrod said today said this is much closer than people think and given all the free media she's gotten given the little hype they're going to get out of this convention although I'm not sure how much but we'll see I think you're 100% right when you began the program which is you think this is a lot closer than people are saying in this book the agenda what Trump should do in the first 100 days really is a but people were taking notes he said Future Ford has created a massive polling operation that created and tested some 500 digital on television ads for Biden and some 200 for Harris they have talked to some 375,000 Americans in the weeks after Harris became the presumptive Democrat nominee on July 22nd I don't know that we have people doing this but we should but nonetheless he said he at least has a quarter of a billion left to spend planning a wave of advertising from digital to television between Labor Day and September 2 excuse me on September 2 an election day and that is after Labor Day that's when all hell breaks loose he said the majority of Harris momentum in the immediate aftermath of Biden dropped out was from young voters of color and it has opened up some Belt states like Nevada Arizona Georgia North Carolina states which Democrats have largely written off the final days of the Biden campaign she has multiple pass with seven states in play a complete turnaround from when Biden was on the ticket he said the other states include Pennsylvania Wisconsin and Michigan mlan said Pennsylvania Remains the most consequential and at the end of it he said we have it tight as a tick pretty much across the board neck and neck and I was asked and I'm so proud to do it I will be interviewing president Donald Trump at the end of the month it will Air both on my Saturday life
