what did I pay for tell me how Ticket Master on top of the $10 price for the tickets they got like three or four different fees killing people right killing people but it's not even the Eagles fault it's Ticket Masters I just had to get that story off but then even beyond that we you know we were talking about the show and he was just saying yo bro you're you're killing it and I just see the about the Philadelphia Eagles as it pertains to how they're viewed nationally you have some people who consider the Philadelphia Eagles to be Super Bowl contenders I know I do you have you have a you have a lot of you have some people who feel like the Philadelphia Eagles are Super Bowl contenders they look at the roster especially the offense and they say to themselves this team should be able to compete in a conference Championship and make it to a Super Bowl but then you have a majority who doubt the Philadelphia Eagles and I'll take it a step further you have a majority of people who doubt Jaylen herz's ability to be able to get the Philadelphia Eagles over to hum they doubt jayen herz's ceiling they believe he's maxed out they think Jaylen Herz is what he is they don't think Jaylen Herz knows what he's doing back there at the quarterback position they don't even consider Jaylen Herz to be a top 10 quarterback in the NFL they don't even think jayen Herz is a top five quarterback in his conference in his conference they don't believe that either and it befuddles me because when you or when I pay attention to the people who actually play this game and I take their words very seriously you know obviously during the offse obviously during the offseason the NFL does their top 100 list right and it's voted on by the players the people who lace it up and strap up every Sunday every Monday every Thursday every game day the people that actually lay it out on the line who play the game they vote on who they believe are the top 100 players for that given season and despite jayen Herz not only making the list jayen Herz was ranked 15th overall in the NFL top 100 voted by his peers despite being placed and revered that way from his peers you still have people who say uh Jaylen Herz uh he's okay he's all right he's really a running back that's what they say he's a running back K's playing as a quarterback they say uh he can't read [Music] defenses they try to put limit on this brother's game they tried to but when it comes to the people who actually play the sport they say no you gotta you gotta you gotta respect that man and Infamous 2K we not entertaining you today you want to know why because I don't trust you last year you was a Colts the year before you was a Colts fan when I first met you you was an Eagles fan now you now you're a commander fan we don't trust you shout out the future in Metro let me get back to what I was saying Jaylen Herz was ranked 15th overall by his peers CJ Stroud was ranked 20th Dak Prescott was ranked 16th Josh Allen was ranked 12th so my mindset is regardless of the Nar that many try to paint at the end of the day those who play the sport those who actually got to deal with that man Jaylen Herz they say Noah he wanted them it may it may not look like Justin Herbert it may not walk like Joe burrow it may not talk like Josh Allen but best and believe you better respect that man gangster you better respect that man when you lessen up against him because you will get got and Jaylen Herz throws one of the prettiest deep balls in the league Jaylen Herz is a dual threat quarterback that will chop you down if you catch if you get caught lacking so whatever you think you know double back and do your research whatever you think you know check your sources because in my humble opinion my ever so humble opinion I believe Jaylen Herz is a top 10 quarterback in this NFL I do believe Jaylen Herz is top three in the NFC and he ain't three I stand on that Hill I die on that hill and if you think the Philadelphia Eagles led by the jayen hurts are not Super Bowl contenders put the crack down put the bud put the Budweiser down you're under the influence of nonsense say what you want we don't believe you so again Jaylen Herz and the Philadelphia Eagles are doubted are doubted and they will always be doubted but guess what guess what that's the arena we love to play in they don't understand that that's the mud we like to play in we love it when you doubt us we thrive in it we bask in it you see what they don't understand Philadelphia is that they adopted the dark we was born in it we coming for everything and if you think the Philadelphia Eagles are not Super Bowl contenders you a damn lie and listen to this you know what you know what they say as well they also say ah that defense is going to hold them back that defense is going to be the reason why why they don't make it or win a Super Bowl and I beg to differ you want to know why because this is the NFL and this is a cumulative product that we're talking about here who you are in week one does not define you in week 18 and trust me Eagles fans we know that all too well we went from having a 10in one record to finishing the season 11- six that's not that's not like us that's out of character let so I say this this defense I promise you this defense sure it's a work in progress but the amount of talent athleticism and having the right coaches in the right places will allow this team to turn the tide this defense will be in perpetual motion this is what I mean by that this defense will be in a Perpetual state of motion because every game will be an opportunity for them to learn and develop in real time this defense is younger they're twitchier they're more athletic they're grittier they understand the assignment don't you guys understand that when I see certain teams in week one and I see how they develop and how that product and how what they do was starting to really take shape I say to myself damn that that team is really legit perfect example that Chiefs defense from 2022 because 2023 they were pretty much solidified but that Chiefs defense in 2022 in week one they were not the same team as they were in that Super Bowl that they did beat the Philadelphia Eagles in and we have to wear that that Chief's defense developed over the course of a season while that offense carried the brunt of the weight and gave them that space to develop and they gave young guys opportunities they bet on themselves and I'm in a position to say the Philadelphia Eagles have the talent to bet on you know they always say always bet on black right and they're not wrong but by my estimation you should probably always bet on green always bet on green roll the dice do what you got to do but always bet on green because we gonna see y'all at the Finish Line it's just a matter of who gonna catch these hands that's all and I'm excited I'm thrilled you dig what I'm saying about time the playoffs get here I'm telling you that defense is going to be ready that defense is going to be ready Vic fangio developing these guys Clint hurt teaching these guys Jeremiah wasburn the new DB coach uh is it Christian Parker I believe that's his name is Christian Parker the new DB coach you feel me so all I'm trying to say is roll with me because the ride may start off a little bumpy with the defense but it's gonna be smooth selling what do you think Queen and Mitchell is going to look like in week 16 week 15 he gonna be ready confidence gon to be at an all-time high what do you think Bryce huff and Jos sweat are going to look like come weeks 16 weeks they gonna be ready Prim to Jaylen Carter so I'm not buying it into none of the shenanigans I'm not buying into none of the nonsense because last time I checked everybody got to prove it every single year and what kills me the most is when you hear people speaking four teams that haven't done anything anything you have no ground to stand on understand the room you standing in understand that we don't breathe the same air it's levels to this thing the Philadelphia Eagles year after year have proven that they're willing to invest in this product because we hold them accountable we hold them accountable this is a fan base this is a city that holds their organization accountable and this is a football City they know what time it is you know today is an off day for the Philadelphia Eagles no no training camp today but best believe all them young Bloods they in that film room they locked in this is probably the best crop of young players that we've had in a long time I'm I'm enthused about where Queen and Mitchell is going I'm enthused about where key Ringo is going Isaiah Rogers Devonte Smith Jordan Mada cam Jurgens I'm thrilled and by the way you throw saquin back there oops totally for oh AJ Brown I forgot about him too you see what I'm saying this ain't we ain't for play play so I just I just wanted to set the tone I just wanted to set the tone this offense is so loaded and has all the right pieces in the right places they're going to be able to afford the defense time to mature you follow me here and if things pan out the way we expected to the Eagles are going to be in a really good place financially and football-wise and I speak about this with such fervor such passion because I listen to people when when they speak and I pay attention to the body language I pay attention to the eyes I pay attention to the habits and you look you look at the past couple seasons and you say oh damn the y'all had Talent last year you had Talent the year before but the results was so different and I say to myself yes you're absolutely right but that Philadelphia Eagles team last year underperformed they underperformed at a level that we didn't even anticipate but regardless I think they know what went wrong and I think they looked at themselves in the mirror and said never again I believe Jaylen Herz made it very clear to this organization made it very clear to his teammates that what happened last year cannot happen it's beneath us it's beneath us talent doesn't win championships talented teams it's it's it's not enough you need com camaraderie you need chemistry you need cohesion you need everybody rowing in the same direction great teams win championships not great players great teams win championships not great players and when I think about the opposition when I think about the other teams in our division like the Cowboys or the Giants or the commodor I say to myself they think they know what they're doing but they really don't know what they're doing that's what K's play looks like you see the Dallas Cowboys they're C playing as a team that knows what they're doing the Giants they're CS playing as a team that know what they're doing the commanders they're cars playing as a team that know what they're doing but we know who you really are you see you think you got the rest of the league fooled but we know who you really are we know who you really are behind closed doors we know your secrets we know what makes you tick we know your weaknesses we know your flaws we know your dirty laundry so you may got the rest of the league fool but you ain't got us fools because we know you this is the Eagles division to lose and I stand on that they got to kill us there's no team there's no team in our division that invests in the Personnel like we do the right way you see not only is our product proper on the football field our business is intact you dig me our business is intact we gonna always have money sweaty is looking to get paid now I'm not sit here I'm not going to sit here and say hey Josh sweat is a 25 or 28 million a year Edge rusher I'm not saying that I'm not saying that but we've seen how lethal Josh sweat can be he understands the assignment he understands that this is a big year for him especially coming off of a lackluster 2023 season follow me here in 2023 Josh sweat played in all 17 games he recorded six and a half sacks seven tackles for loss 23 quarterback hits two Force fumbles 43 total tackles on 828 snaps played on defense that accounts for 71% of the defensive snaps played add context to that in 2022 Josh SWAT played in 16 games he recorded 11 sacks 15 tackles for loss 23 quarterback hits one force fumble one interception one touchdown 48 total tackles on 587 defensive snaps played that accounts for 56% of the Total Defense that he was available to play so he went from playing 587 snaps to 828 snaps that my friends is almost a 300 snap that's about a 250 snap increase from what he's used to doing did you guys know that all of Josh Schat's six and a half sacks that came in 2023 did you guys know that all of his snaps came in the first nine games of the season and he didn't have a single sack in the final eight games that's unacceptable and he ran out of gas despite despite generating 68 pressures with a which was a career high so follow me here right in 2023 six and a half sacks 23 quarterback hits in 2022 11 sacks 23 quarterback hits with a career high of 68 pressures in 2023 Josh sweat created more pressure in 2023 than he did at any point in his career in 2023 he had the same amount of quarterback hits as he did in 2022 yet the sack count took a major nose Dot and the snap count skyrocketed so I'll say that again I know I know I'm saying a lot here follow me Josh SWAT had the same amount of quarterback hits in 2022 and 2023 yet his sack count took a nose die and his snap count shot up they were not optimizing that brother snaps Josh SWAT should not be playing over 800 snaps a game I'm sorry that's just not in his DNA and I don't mean that as disrespect I mean that in a way that the Philadelphia Eagles did not do a good enough job with their Edge rusher or their defensive line rotations as they normally would do I don't know if it was a of trust in Nolan Smith or if they felt like BG just didn't have it anymore and then they and then they went and traded Derek Barnett which gave them another hit on their depth it was basically the H stic and and Josh Sweat Show nobody else was able to make a real impact everybody fell off a cliff but damn they got to do a better job in utilizing jat this season in 2022 in 2022 he was in a healthy rotation and they were able to optimize his snaps how do you how do you generate more pressures this season how do you generate more pressures in 2023 but have less sacks than you did the previous season because I was watching those games and I was was saying to myself ah sweat you was so close every week damn near two or three times a game I'm saying to myself ah sweat you was right there sweat you was right there a sweat has to get home in 2023 or 2024 he has to like I mentioned he's entering year seven of his inter he's entering his seventh season in his NFL career he's 27 years old and he was talking to the media and he says I still feel young as hell time flew by but I'm ready to have my best season yet Josh sweat understands that he's better than what he did last season when you look at Josh sweat and you say to yourself 65 265 pounds wingspan is insane that dude looks like like your prototypical Edge rusher he looks the part he has it he has the tools the skill set but I just don't think 800 snaps is the sweet spot for Josh s that's just my opinion I don't mean that to slide him there's not many players in this league that's playing that those kind of snaps I think Josh sweat his sweet spot is between 550 and 650 defensive snaps I think that's his sweet spot I think that's how you get the most out of Josh sweat give him between 550 and 650 defensive snaps and he gonna be cooking with Fish Grease I believe that wholeheartedly so he's looking he's looking to turn the page on last season and it's funny he actually almost was a trade Target he almost well essentially he was on the trading block the Philadelphia Eagles told him and Hassan reik that you guys have the right to seek a trade you guys have the right to find someone someone who's willing to pay you what you what you want what you want and will oblig it and Josh sweat and his agent communicated with the Philadelphia Eagles and H reic ended up being traded and Josh sweat ended up being compensated because here's some context to that right again he was a trade asset but here's the context Josh sweat was his final season of his contract this year before they restructured it Josh SWAT had no guaranteed dollars left so there was no way you were gonna have H retic and Jos sweat coming in and playing with no guaranteed money there was no way that was gonna happen H reic wanted what he wanted and J sweat played ball he didn't he didn't over complicate his situ because I think ultimately jat wants to be here and I think ultimately he knows that if he balls out this team will take care of him they paid him once before I think they'll pay him again I think he knows that Josh sweat could have gave the Eagles a hard time he could have said you know what I don't want this restructure pay me if you don't pay me I'm walking tra me we could have lost Hassan reck and joshu in one offseason but J he was very he was very uh reasonable in his approach also he didn't really have the most leverage because of the Season he came off of so that mattered too so again here's the details sweat and the eagles they ultimately agreed to restructure the final year of his contract like we like we said originally he had no guaranteed money left like we said but since his contract now but since then his contract his final year of his contract now has a max value of $13 million wor a $1 million guaranteed they basically said listen we want to work with you we love you here we don't want you going anywhere but we're going to restructure you we're we're going to give you more money from as a matter of fact we're going to give you $10 million right in your pocket we're going to give you $10 million on the arm straight up and if you do everything that we expect you to do that's 13 million in your pocket but best believe Josh sweat wants to get paid and I think he's going to have the season to show that the stakes are high for Josh sweat he even changed his number he went from being number 94 to number 19 because he says that he's looking for a fresh start and I really don't blame him he says and I quote I just wanted to feel new I just wanted to feel new he wanted number nine but he couldn't get that we know why but he settle for number 19 he wanted a fresh start just wants to feel new feels like this is a new chapter in his career and quite honestly his production this year is more valuable than ever because Hans s reic is gone Josh sweat has to be prolific Nolan Smith has to be prolific Bryce Huff has to be prolific and the thing is I've always thought highly of Josh sweat always I've always felt like he can be a perennial double digit sack year you don't have to give me the you don't have to give me a whole big number for a contract just give me what you what do you think the Philadelphia Eagles are going to be willing to pay him or what do you think he should get give me his sack prediction and then give me how much you think the Phil how much you think he's going to be worth at that time all right let's see here all right Ray Lester says he needs 12 to 15 million let me add some context to this for you guys Bryce Huff is making 17 keep that in mind keep that in mind you guys Bryce Huff is making 17 and he only has one double digit he has he only has one double digit sack season in his career the Eagles are paying Bryce Huff 17 just to add context so maybe you guys want to maybe you guys want to revise some of your numbers Z King says nine and a half sacks and I think they're willing to give him 21 okay all right 21 million all right I think I think that nine and a half sacks might need to be 10 or 11 for him to get 21 but I like I like the way you're thinking zah chin says nine sacks and I think he's gone period wow interesting Jonathan neighbor says 11 to 12 sacks 15 million wow less than what Bryce Huff is making okay AJ Harris says n plus sacks maybe 12 to 15 denk says n and a half to 12 sacks 15 to 18 million okay ray Lester says 13 sacks 15 to 18 Max China says 12 sacks maybe 20 million I think this might be the most accurate number in my opinion this may be the most accurate number in my opinion Donald Rome says n and a half to 12 sacks and he will leave to get the bag China also think he's gone though W so some of you guys think regardless of what happens he's gone interesting that that solely depends on what Nolan Smith and Bryce Huff turn into doesn't it and then BG is retiring so you mean to tell me they're G to lose BG and Josh sweat in the same off season man you're gonna you're gonna have to draft The Edge rusher and and you got you still have jayx hunt it all depends on what he becomes though Nick Spicer says I think 11 to 12 sacks because of Jordan Davis and Carter getting better okay ray Lester says they probably won't resign him I agree Trader Chris says um seeing what Vic did with ler talent in Miami his dline schemes are the best Eagles dline will will all have career highs and pressures and they'll be unblocked Ray Lester says it'll be another hard grave type of move but here's the thing the Eagles the Eagles drafted sweat they drafted Josh they didn't draft hardgrave chin says Milton Williams will factor in right Milton Williams is looking to get paid too he going to be this is going to because here's the thing right Jos sweat is 27 he just turned 27 over the summer I think or in March Josh sweat this is this is probably G to be Josh sweat's last chance to get a big payday he's 27 years old he's entering year seven and this is also Milton Williams first first opportunity to get a big payday but here's another thing right Hari Roseman has shocked us before Hari Roseman has shocked us before he's been able to get deals done and Harry Roseman loves his draft picks if he drafted you and you're at a high value position he'll pay you makees sense if he drafted you and you're at a high value position he'll pay you the reason he didn't pay miles Sanders because he didn't he didn't consider miles Sanders to be in a high value position at the time so he let him walk can't argue with it can't argue against it at all so I think it all remains to be seen here it all remains to be seen I don't think it's I don't think it's as clearcut and and and I think that's the one thing that we did notice throughout throughout this live stream and with you guys providing your your takes and your predictions that it it's it's not as clearcut as we think it is right I think the only thing that's clearcut is what needs to happen and that's Josh SWAT has to be productive but even beyond that jayx hunt has to he has to pan out the way we expect Nolan Smith especially being a first-rounder he has to pan out the Eagles have invested and a first round pick into Nolan Smith this is a big year for him very Big Year you know and speaking of jayx hunt right he had a press conference I believe it was yesterday yesterday afternoon and you know he was talking about how he's been he's he's he's been really excited to be in the position he's in and he he was Gravely looking forward to the padded practice he was looking forward to hitting something and he was saying how he feels how he's taking major steps forward since training camp started and he's learning how to play at the NFL level right he says his biggest Improvement needs to come or has come with using his hands he says originally he he kind of used to be a Head Hunter he used to kind of just Le with his head but now now he's really learning how to utilize his hands properly and he's been picking that up for BG he says BG gives him a lot of gang and he gives credit to him you know he understands that he he needs to hone his technique if he wants to last on his level and also gotta take care of your body and play smart but everything I've heard everything I've heard about jayx Hunt is that he's way ahead of schedule everything I've heard about him is is that dude flies the athlet the athleticism is off the charts and jayx hunt from a physical perspective is insane as well just just listen to this where are you all right okay jayx hunt make sure I got this right here jayx Hunt is 63 252 pounds with long ass arms jayx Hunt is a is a physical freak he can rush the passer he's a smart player and he has coverage skills he's going to be he's going to be a fun player to watch he all again he spoke about how his biggest Improvement you know he has to get better with his hand usage but again everything that I'm hearing is that you know he's ahead of schedule and he talked about how you know he had opportunities to go up against Lane and land in Dickerson and you know playing up you know playing against those guys going up against those guys it's forced him to step his game up especially if he's going to be able to win against NFL level offensive tackles see that's the thing we're in such a great situation the Eagles are in such a great situation because they have talent at the right places which is going to get their other players ready to go AJ Brown and Devonte Smith are going to make sure KY Ringo Queen and Mitchell Isaiah Rogers Cooper de those two wide receivers are going to make sure those young Corners are ready to go and and the beautiful thing about AJ Brown and Devonte Smith is that they're built totally differently they play the position entirely differently and it's going to allow those young cornerbacks to get multiple looks against top tier wide receivers who play the position differently there there's there's not going to be anything they haven't seen there's not going to be any body type or any or any style of wide receiver that they're not prepared for because of guys like AJ Brown who's who's bulky who's who's strong physical high points the ball Hands Like Glue spectacular route Runner footwork off the charts Devonte Smith deante Smith Devonte Smith excuse me silky smooth rangy long arms quick every route looks the same footwork he's a technician sideline ability with the feet tremendous hands like Mouse traps glue traps once you're on it you're not go once he has it the ball's not going anywhere so AJ Brown Devonte Smith gonna get those Corners ready Lane Johnson Jordan Mada Landon Dickerson they're G to get those Edge rushers and DTS ready Jaylen Carter is going to take his game to another level because he's going up against guys like Landon Dickerson jayx hunt Nolan Smith their game is going to go to another level because they're going up against guys like Jordan Mada laye Johnson that's what you want that's what you want to see so again man I think the Philadelphia Eagles are playing with house money there's so many people doubting their doubting them them they look at the offense and they say hey that offense is talented o but that defense but then even when they talk about the offense you know what they say they talk trash about jayen Herz uh you know they have this player they have that player but Jaylen Herz uh will he turn it around I'm like okay I get it y'all gotta see it no worries we could show you better than we could tell you we gonna show you better than we can tell you so I love the situation that Philadelphia Eagles are in it's going to be a hell of a season you two running backs next to uh and the shotgun you feel what I'm saying they have options they have options and I can't wait to see what squin does I really can't and also John Ross spoke you know John Ross is competing for that wide receiver three spot John Ross he talked about how conditioning is being at the Forefront for him you know especially with him taking that time off he wants to make sure that his conditioning is in tiptop shape he made it very clear that there's a difference between being able to run a few miles and being in NFL shape it's totally different and he gave a ton of credit to AJ G uh gave gave a ton of credit to Smitty for setting the standard and motivating the guys keeping them in their toes you know they asked him what they what what do what does he believe is his most valuable asset and he says he believes he can bring a ton of speed while give I'll still give him credit to AJ and Smitty speed of course but he feels like you know what he brings he can bring a ton of speed He he'll be able to to take the top of defenses and you know he even talked about how being away for the game really threw really threw a wrench of his life and he really missed the building of relationships and that locker room environment right that team atmosphere that family atmosphere and that's kind of what you get when you play with Philadelphia Eagles you know he also spoke on his son being a huge motivating factor for him his son's uh football team was in training camp as well you know they're young and he was saying and you know he was saying how when he goes to training camp his son is going to training camp as well they always talk about how you know their days and all that kind of stuff and um you know it's cool listening to John Ross speak man he's a down Earth dude uh and then finally John Ross spoke on how it's one of the most important things for him is building that relationship building that chemistry with Jaylen Herz in particular he says that's a focal point for him and you know he didn't really get enough time he really he didn't really get a lot of time with him but that's why it was so cool for him to link with the guys over the off season and um really really really take advantage of the Reps he's gotten with Jaylen Herz building that trust because that's the only way he makes his roster if if the chemistry with Jaylen Herz is phenomenal if the trust is there if he's running his routes perfectly he has to he he has to be damn near perfect to make this roster because you know wide receiver three I mean it's it's still wide open but Paris Campbell is making it difficult you know Britain cvy is making it difficult right now but overall you know you want to make this roster you want to get opportunities you got to build that trust with the quarterback and Jaylen Herz has been sharp all training camp he's been sharp he's been protecting the football he's been commanding the offense throwing with great anticipation throwing with confidence being able to throw the ball on a move he's been standing tall in the pocket footwork has been tremendous he hasn't been skittish he's handled the blitzes very well I'm telling you Vic Fango was throwing things at him and Jaylen Herz is going to be ready when the season starts he's going to be ready let me get to some of your comments before we get out of here you wasted his time and he wouldn't have an opportunity to catch on with another team Mario ger he's going to land on his feet you guys don't worry another team is going to give him an opportunity to make their roster with the Eagles letting him go now this gives him a a whole month to land somewhere trust me the Eagles did Mario g a favor they told him and said listen you don't have a chance here we're too we're we're too loaded at the position there there are too many guys that we already have ahead of you we're going to let you go in July so you have all of August to land somewhere I think they did him a favor I think they did him a favor and as far as Nick Gates goes look it's a depth piece right I don't think that rules out Justin Simmons I'm pretty sure Nick Gates probably got a veteran minimum deal so it doesn't necessarily rule out Justin Simmons but I think Justin Simmons is looking for something that the Eagles may not be willing to pay it all depends though I I can't really roll out roll out anything Trader Chris says hunt and Smith will eat look what Vic did for Bradley chub I feel you on that and China says and he's hella smart too and dank throws in says D dud
