Hawthorn Hawks vs Carlton Blues AFLW Fantasy Game Review 2024

hey guys and welcome back to another YouTube video in this video we're going through the Hawthorne verse Caron absolute demolition job by the Hawks in the second last game of round one of the season 9 of AFL W in which yeah they just basically dominated the game did the Hawks um from end they especially they pretty much Drew level with Caron when carton had the breeze and ran away with it when carton didn't have the breeze so anyway let's jump into this and recap all of the players scoring Eliza West uh 29 touches 10 tackles if we go to Eliza West here we open this up and we just want to see her uh role here you'll see she had 88% cbas that's a really good role 70 uh 71 points uh she averaged at Melbourne so she is one that you could have probably um looked at uh let's actually just go to West here she's now priced at 1.003 million um and yeah she's probably one that we missed uh just because we missed um she did have a little bit of an uptake in cvas uh from her time at Melbourne so maybe we missed her taking on that lead scoring a little bit but I do think that this is a slight outlier you'll see here the points per minute down a little up a little bit I should say um so yeah I just think that maybe this one was a little bit of an outlier um and then you see those points there um and yeah so I'm not I'm not too too worried about this yet as you see here she didn't really have a low low game um Terri terbly much um maybe you could say this one but even then she scored pretty well so I'm not too worried about this I think that she will um regress back a little bit but I think she could be a 95 scorer 90 scorer so yeah I don't think it'll be too bad in the end uh bod 77 Gilroy 72 breed 69 she is probably the rookie I would Target I think she has Room to Grow um over the likes of sim who I think Sim will regress a little bit just because I think the other Port mids will take up some points given that their point share wasn't um was a little bit weighted more towards Simon away from dck and also uh window so I think that breed is probably the better rookie to have even though Sim scored 14 more points because their projected break evens are dead on each other um Jaden came out with that um after I recorded on the Tuesday Tuesday yeah after I recorded yesterday's videos he came out with break evens Etc and everything so we'll get into that for the um for the previews on Thursday for the uh trade targets and uh cash cows uh we'll get to those um but yeah I think breed is a really good option and I really liked her game and I really like that she's a strong tackler as well 7662 so I think that there is room for her to take up more tackling and um yeah I also really like Sheriff given that she's got forward status 67 uh points three tackles which shows she can uh tackle as well uh she has I think um do they have Collingwood let me actually just check uh G they do have Collingwood which is good um so yeah I really like Sheriff I think she can she's known to be a slight tackler as well uh a good tackler as well so I think she can get that up to five or six tackles uh which will negate the um two goals that she scored if she doesn't kick any goals um so I really do think that she can do well I also think that the marking will be a little bit better because it was an absolute windfest at um wi was this at Windy Hill no I don't think it where was this at um I don't know that Stadium but I know that it was ABS it was way too windy and the wind was about a 10 m uh flip either way so it was about a 20 M wind difference um going to either end um so yeah I think the sheriff can put up 60s in the forward line anyway and I think that will be enough anyway for the um top spot or near enough that um top of the line so I think she can be up there with um Huda when she gets like one or two Midfield rolls um and two good well two goods out now but they would have been top of the line but I generally think it'll be a gap oh W wh probably and then the two or three uh kpfs that are there that do sort of get some rck time do get a lot of U get some Midfield time even um and then there'll be a gap and then um I still think that sheriff could be um in and around that F5 spot um even when she does get um Straten back Etc um Ashmore 64 uh Lucas Rod 63 she's got a um but she's just going to be a midfielder isn't she Lucas Rod so there's no no point going there bit 60 Lucy Wales 60 this is why you don't go off preseason hype anyone um that watched my video um about or just in general about this um and made some comments about it that she basically faced a rock lineup of gazelle Davies um Bella Smith and Laura Gardner and Cynthia Hamilton now I don't know about you but two of those are midfielders and two of them are like under 57 or something I think like Laura uh Garder height um she's 165 cm and then you got Cynthia Hamilton height as well Cynthia Hamilton's 168 uh 168 cm in inches you got 5'6 and 5'5 so I I I don't think Lucy Wales really had much of the challenge to get hit outs in that game considering that they had she had two goals that were like shouldn't be rcking in any sense um so yeah uh that was kind of the reason why she did so well in preseason um Kemp McDonna uh Fleming Smith Williamson Everest I'm surprised her and Richardson didn't um kick on a little bit um Stone 37 as well um who was it that um who is the one second here forwards um let me just check the 300K uh clubs I need to go to Hawthorne Hawthorn um you've got oh it's lock that we're waiting for Lo is the one that I'm waiting for and waiting for her to come back have a game because I feel like she will be the one she will be the next wave of rookies in her and Butler are probably the next wave of rookies that I'm looking at um when they come through in the next couple of weeks she's destined for round three is um stone or lock sorry it's lock um and you've got Butler destined I think for a return either three or four so um yeah those two are two uh rookies that I'm looking at in the in the next couple weeks um but yeah Stone 37 hitw 34 basker and 34 vukic 22 I thought her as a um as a rock in the future one for the future is um going to be all right um but yeah she just in that Ro roll you needed you took the solo Rucker oh over um any uh part-time forward Rock um because yeah it just was the better option roll specifically and then Elliot 8 there then we move on to kton this will be pretty quick maai 102 and Mai is priced at I believe roughly around or within Realms of that uh marker there 82 so 102 she'll regress back I would suspect a little bit um given that Hawthorne should be a good side but I don't think they'll be that good um Shir 69 you see this drop away Moody 68 you can see the rock share with Moody and goods um so no thank you there for any of those rucks Mimi Hills 63 sker 57 Goss 52 Lawson tan 49 so if you went um tan over um Bey you got lucky basically as Bey did score 25 so she made like 5K but you basically made what you spent another like 12K was tan like just off min um let's actually just go to this uh we I think this does it easily tan was uh 4K more expensive like 304k so he spent 4K to get another um 68k in cash gen over the top of Bey or Bey um Henry Finn did her job uh if we look at the quarter by quarter uh this one uh fantasy quarter by quarter you will see that laan just did really well in second half 33 you'll see Finn very rounded which is a good sign and you'll see that yeah if you look at beta here she just didn't really uh had a much better second half that's a 19 so if she can double that up um she'll get to a 39 and the 39 starts to make some cash that would probably be 40K of cash gen I would think a 39 or so um so yeah there is something there and yeah you can just see viio had a stinker especially vesio in the first minute she was on eight and then for the rest of the game for 60 what seven minutes of the remaining game is that uh she scored what um what's that 16 so yeah she just had a stinker um then we go down guring uh had a tag roll so was all right but that second half I'm pretty sure was pretty 23 183 I really didn't like the time on ground being so low so um I'm jumping off her to breed I wish I had gone breed in the first place but if guring had uh fired then it would have been I would have had a really good I would have been ahead of the crowd a little bit so in the end I lost around about 100K of I think but it's an easy fix because I had that 100K spare um good Austin Peterson pound Fitzgerald Del pal delos um cordner cordner Bey so we see this whole sort of defensive Wing just having a stinker here looking delos cordner Bey and vess I don't know where K's position was but you can I can tell you that four out of the five that are highlighted there were in the back or on the wings and where was kek if this will I'm clicking that um thank you for just not actually going off um she looks like she played on one of the Wings as well so you had just all the Wingers and half backers just outside of Lawson Devan and Finn um so they had three Wingers in it looks like in kek vesio and also uh Finn and one of them did well and then you had one halfback do well so that was just carton's going to be rough um so yeah we probably should have done more research into the halfbacks for um cuz I believe Kemp was a half back as well 300K so if you did jump on her then you did really well if you jumped on um Kemp and also L and divine you probably did the best so yeah it is what it is um you're usually going to have the rookie roulette at this point of the Season where some of them are just going to do really well some of them aren't um and I probably uh probably should have done even more research um than uh some people then we I did in the end as that probably could have uncovered something like this um but anyway it is what it is and in the end um horon got the job done it goes that I'm looking at for this round uh breed and Sheriff are two that I'm probably going to bring in just because breed is one is probably the best cash gen rookie I would think Bas if you apply a roll um variable and then sheriff is the best I would think forward roll um well roll out of any of the forwards and then you've got for uh for carton I would think just jumping off Bey if you do have a if that's possible um Finn's fine Lawson tan is fine and um yeah if you have vesio I'd be jumping off it I'm glad that I didn't go uh Winger there because that was a horrific game
