Fox and working with Kevin Burkhart Greg will be on the number two team at Fox with Joe Davis so we discuss all of that and Greg winning some Emmys and a few other things very fun chat with Greg podcast next week all right that's all you need to know very fun conversation coming up now with Fox's Greg Olson followed by salakot and trainer thoughts all right here right now on SI media with Jimmy trainer all right joining me now one of the top voices in the NFL from Fox Sports Greg Olsen also obviously one of the best wedding guests you can have Greg how's it going yeah and I think of all all my accolades and honors I think the one I take most pride in is that so I appreciate that in my in I'm gonna add that to my uh Twitter bio you should because I'm sure a lot of people right now are like oh let's let's let's talk about Brady and Olen you know being with Joe Davis but we're going to talk about weddings for a long time first because this is let me I I got to give people the background and give you the background on this so I looked back it was the day before Fourth of July July 3D so like it's a dead day people are already celebrating the holiday I'm scrolling through Instagram and I see Olivia kpo post this picture from her wedding to Christian mcaffrey and it's just a phenomenal picture it's Christian and Olivia a few other people from the ners and Greg is on the end and Greg looks different than everybody else so let's just put it that way for now so I tweet out the picture and I say I forgot I think I said something like anyone who goes go to wedding should always look like Greg Olsen by the end of it yes and I thought like 10 people would like the photo and whatever and not 30,000 likes on this photo so and people you know one of the rare occasions too and you know we've seen it over the last couple of weeks with our politics like one of the rare occasions where everyone loved it everyone was happy there was not one negative you know these days you say like oh it's a nice day outside and someone's like you're an [ __ ] but like that picture everyone was okay so I'm like I should get Greg on to talk about it like cuz wedding you could do like a whole podcast just on wedding behavior and what goes on at weddings so I'm like I don't have Greg's number he doesn't follow me on Twitter can't DM him so I'm like now I'm trying to like get the number I get the number and let me tell you it wasn't easy to get you have good friends who don't want to give it up easily but I found one person and then I text Greg and I'm like K you know that wedding photo is great would love to have you on the podcast and then I didn't hear back day passes two days passes three days and I'm like he definitely thinks I'm a weirdo and an [ __ ] like he's the top like one of the top NFL announcers I'm like you want to come on and talk about this wedding photo because you've been on I'm like he's been on a couple of times I think they were good I think he's okay with me I'm like yeah he thinks I'm a weirdo a week later you wrote back I can't it was like life I'm like okay he doesn't think I'm a Nut Job this is great you said you would come on so here we are finally I need to know we'll get into the wedding but did you see like the picture get tweeted were you aware you were going viral CU I know you were busy you said you were you know doing stuff with your son and all that so tell me your how you experienced yourself going viral for that photo Yeah well yeah I mean I yes you did get it started so thank you I guess um but no it was all in good fun and and the reason I was delayed and I said this to you when I texted you back yeah so after 4th of July once we got through the weekend and whatnot we ended up going down for a week to Charleston my younger son who's baseball team I coach when you texted me that's where I was and I probably like checked my message like right in the middle of a 11-year-old baseball game and no one knew we didn't have a left fielder and like my head's popping off so right and then I never got and then I was I got back and I was going through and I always like go through my unread messages and just try to catch up on anything that slipped through the cracks and I was like oh [ __ ] I forgot to to get back to him on this so that that was the reason for the delay so I'm glad and you know the funny thing about the picture and you know a lot of people took the picture like you did like hey everyone should have fun at the wedding and you're sweaty and you're dancing and you're having fun with all your friends right it was more that a couple people were like Greg Olson's hammered yet the time that the reason I look different than everybody because that was fairly early in like the reception so like like nothing gets to obviously everyone's been to a wedding like you have your seated dinner the bride and the groom dance the bride dances with her dad and we all just like sit there and clap and you eat your dinner and you have a couple drinks at the cocktail hour but like no one's partying yet right that's not happening so you get through all of that and then we went to inside back into the hotel for like the true party so that's where that picture was so when that picture was taken I probably had a drink at the cocktail hour and a drink I'm not even really like a big drinker like I'm not like I'm like a social Drinker with my buddy I'm not a big drinker um so I mean I probably had a drink at the cocktail hour I probably had a drink during dinner or a glass of wine or whatever so like that was we were inside it was more like dancing sweating acting stupid with your buddies on the Dance Floor my wife's looking at me side eyed because I'm embarrassing her like it was more like fun and that and that's why like my the second well I'll back up even when I broadcast the game yeah the second I'm done with my on camera open my tie is down my top button unbuttoned and my sleeves are unb like I just I'm not a buttoned up guy like this just not my thing so like we got through like the formal aspect of the night my tie's off and my buttons off so I I probably looked different than everybody else because I was probably sweatier than everybody else at that point right right I love weddings I hadn't seen a lot of those guys in a long time like we hadn't all been together in one place we got in on Thursday all staying at the same Hotel meeting for breakfast and then just like hang all day through the you know early hours of the evening before we go to bed and then you get back up no one has to drive no one has to go anywhere like you're only there for the wedding party you're with your friends and and guys that I played with and some of my best friends in the you know in my life that live all over the country like we got together for the first time in a long time and we always say like we we tried to give Christian and Olivia the wedding they deserve and like that's part of the guest's responsibility right um we gave it our best shot well I I mean I there's going to be a lot of people listening who are not who are not going to be convinced you didn't have about 12 drinks at that point but I didn't I didn't have 12 entire night right right right so that look is more from the dancing and the partying than the drink yeah if you ask any of my buddies like anybody that I hung out with college now like yeah I'm not a huge like I I'll have a cocktail I'll have a bourbon with buddies and hang but like I'm not even in college like that was just never my thing like there'll be nights where people like oh my god oh and and my wife's like trust me he's the most sober person here yeah you know what I mean like it's almost the joke so yeah that was more just like having fun and being with the guys and yes I was s sweaty and yes my hair was disheveled and yes my button was on top button was done and all that but like the party the the formal aspect of the wedding was over like we were just having a blast with right with all of our buddies well what makes it great is everyone else is still looking I mean Christian I'm looking at it now Christian shirt is untuck so I mean he's getting a little comfortable but um I think that's use check he's in this and KD like every and everyone still has you know jackets on so I I I I could see where that's early facial expr they caught me like mid something like if I could have just settled into the picture and just had like a normal smile I think it would have maybe been not as fun of a picture to talk about but um the amount of people that like I see I was at the fox seminar last week in LA and like Erin you know aarin and Karissa and like you know catching up with everybody they're like we need to know everything about this wedding because it looked incredible and like we just we had a lot of fun with it did did you did you get caught up in like the Twitter comments did you enjoy some of the Twitter comments yeah I again I I I think the internet is hysterical like there's even times where like you're on the wrong end of a joke or the wrong end of something but right you still have the self-awareness to be like that's pretty funny like I'll give them credit even though it's against me like it's pretty funny so yeah I mean you see the memes you see the people are funny and yeah listen if you're gonna take yourself too serious and you can't just laugh and say yeah I had a great time time with all my buddies and my wife and all of our friends at a really close Friend's Wedding like if you go to a wedding and you're the stiff in the corner that's on you right right right I don't you don't have to answer this if you don't want to because it could be personal but did did you hear from Christian Andor Olivia about the photo like after like obviously I'm sure you spoke to them about the W but when that photo became viral did you get a comment from them I talked to Christian I was like hey Christian tell Olivia thanks so much for for getting me killed on Twitter and he's like dude we never thought in a million years that was going to happen we just thought it was such a fun picture I was like I'm kidding yeah yeah yeah that kind of stuff like I don't care like yeah yeah it was fun we got a great laugh out of it yeah had a blast all weekend long catching up with some of our closest friends I mean it was so cool like it's a shame that it takes you know obviously it was awesome it was McCaffrey's wedding and we had a blast but like you would love to be able to get together with all your guys and significant others and friends and whatnot from from all your time around the league or where like more often but we didn't we we had Ryan khil lives in California yeah and there's some of our closest friends his wife and my wife are are dear friends like we don't see them that much let alone with mcaffrey with Luke with Jonathan Stewart and then you got the 49ers guys we're having fun with KD and yek and Shanahan so like it was just yeah it was just a lot of fun do you remember what the song was that got you onto the Dance Floor all of them it doesn't matter I'm into them all where do you stand on like so like every wedding I shouldn't say every wedding most weddings there are like this like you know um September for instance from um earthwind and fire like that's like a CL you know celebration from Co do you do you do those get you on the dance FL do you want something a little more current or yeah probably a mixed bag right like I I'll go anything from like shout you know obviously like the old traditional stereotype right group songs um you know Rihanna Found Love in a hopeless place and you know you got your typical like Journey Don't Stop Believing where like every white meat head in the world like relives their college days you know like every song has their different moment you know windows to the wall and everyone thinks they're a rapper for a minute so like there's a lot of Versatility yeah within the song Choices um and at that point in the wedding it didn't really matter you know what I mean it was just whatever and right but yeah it's but there there's certain songs that like really and I I have to preface we we we we hung with mcaffrey um like Friday afternoon like during the day just to catch up and whatnot and like all the guys were like all right we just need to know like what is the level we can take this to like is there a point where Olivia is looking at us like you're ruining my wedding like you don't want to also be those guys where it turns into like such a disaster that like all the guys are having fun but like right the girls are uncomfortable people are like getting knocked over you know like right very fine line between fun and sloppy you don't want to get into sloppy yeah we don't want to be sloppy we don't want it to turn into a disaster so like all right Christian like obviously this is your wedding Olivia's day like we want to have fun we're excited to be here I'm like what's the level he's like there's no level he's like it is in infinite I was like are you sure he's like trust me and I was like say less all right we're good just want to make sure we were not gonna you know Olivia being mad you know your buddies are acting like idiots you know you you want that yeah that's a great job by Christian look at that top running back in the NFL and then knows how to do the wedding they had a blast they were they were awesome hosts they know how to throw a party they were awesome hosts they brought together a lot of really cool people that we met a lot of cool people from different it was just a it was a really really fun three days never had been to Rhode Island ever so it was um it was awesome yeah that's great you know it was funny too which I didn't even think would happen but after I tweeted that photo I started getting all these responses from people sending me like their crazy wedding photo like like their Greg Olsen moment at a wedding and it was pretty funny um so that that was a fun little offshoot of it I actually have mine I should text it to do you have your phone there I do I'm going to text it to you you give me like a grade on what you think my this is like me at a wedding two of my buddies it's more like we're a little bit too into the the song but I just texted it to you so give me like a grade on my uhing God that's really good all right you made me happy you what do you what okay so you look like you're in the middle of like Journey Don't Stop Believing and you're screaming your boy to your right my left looks like he's singing Backstreet Boys like I I want it that way right and then the guy right I'm not sure what he's doing he he yeah so you guys got a lot of different emotions going on but yeah you could have parted with us you were you were good all right so this is pretty [ __ ] amazing because we have been we've tried for years to figure out what song this was and we think we narrowed it down to three and it was either I want it that way oh there you go Don't Stop Believing or Living on a Prayer it was one of those three so you are pretty damn good Greg Olsen I know I know my uh body language of songs pretty well also been there you're a top NFL analyst and a top wedding analyst that's basically what it comes down to have you ever given a best man speech only at my brother yeah at my two my two brothers I was their best man so I gave um I gave their best man speech but oh no I've given three I my two brothers and my brother-in-law I my wife's sister's husband so I um yeah I've actually given three best man speeches in my day were you happy with your performance on all three of them those yeah yeah I I don't I my Approach and again everyone has their thing I think of like the scene from Wedding Crashers where where Vince vaugh is like giving um Rachel McAdams like some tip or no Owen Wilson is giving uh Rachel McAdams like some tips about like be so I always go with like the fun like it's fun and whatnot but it's yeah yeah it's positive it's you know sentimental blah blah blah blah blah I I don't I don't do the whole like I'm gonna get up here it's not like a roast to me yeah yeah but I know some people have fun with it and whatnot but that was my Approach with all three of them um yeah I felt like I did a pretty good job I don't remember exactly what I said but I think was fine all right well we've spent like 15 minutes on the wedding photo so I can't thank you enough for doing that like I said I was like you know what is when you send there's also like when you send your first text to someone to start the conversation you know you know I'm like can you come on and talk about this photo was a little little dicey but now we can talk about football for a little bit yeah let's do it um cuz we are camps are opening so like this week I think we're finally getting like the football Buzz it's finally finally coming um I'm just curious as a player give me a little background as a player like when we're here camps open Jui you know we're not even in August but for what is like the player goal right now is it just like learn the Playbook is it get in shape I would imagine they're already in shape but like what are the first like two weeks of Camp what's the goal for like not a rookie but like a veteran player well I think that's the key I think it all depends on what stage in your career you are what stage in your place on the team right when you're when I was a rookie everything is I'm not worried about running I'm not worried about being in shape I'm not worried about it being hot I'm worried about do I know the plays am I gonna the first time I get in there with the starters am I gonna line up on the wrong side and run the wrong route or miss my block or you know fall on my face football-wise I wasn't worried oh it's going to be hot or that that never that doesn't stress you when you're young kid for the most part um so that's all like mental anxiety you're just stressed so for the older guys like when I got older in my career Playbook was Zero concern to me I'd run the same offense for nine years in Carolina and two years prior to that in in in Chicago we pretty much ran the exact same system so Playbook to me was never an issue my I I always used to joke with with Rivera like first practice you know I I was it didn't matter if I was in year three or year 14 there is a layer of anxiety at least for me where you train all off seon you feel great you know what you're doing you've done this before but like that first practice you almost have to like reprove to yourself okay I can do this like there is a first route of the year against live first time you put on the pads the first time you make a block you haven't done it in like eight months yeah so there's always that like anxiety of the first time now granted it's the 5,000th time but like that was always me like I needed to get through that first practice and be like okay like I got this I've done this before nothing's changed I can still do this at a high level and then the rest of the camp you roll so like the anx you just need Camp to start what got weird about training camp is nowadays like you would report and do physicals and then you'd have a night meeting and then the next day you might have a conditioning test and then afternoon meetings and you were there you felt like for like 48 hours and you've yet to be on the field so like the anticipation of practice number one once you get into like the third day the third session and you start getting into your routine you start getting in the days kind of just start clicking off at one after another is really when you settle into camp and you're like all right I'm in a good routine now and and the days start flying it's really that first 24 48 Hours you get you know security meeting Personnel meeting the medical the doctors physical and you go through like all the monotonous stuff right and once the football takes over and starts it really gets rolling with big as a broadcaster what do you do this time of year are you just keeping up with news are you studying tape what like it's still like I said we're not even in August but what or do you not pay attention to anything and you'll dive into it in a couple of weeks what do you do as a broadcaster yeah so so the whole offseason you're really just keeping up with the storyline Trends you know during free agency all right who are all the main guys that have changed teams you you know you watch the draft I by no means study the draft um but you know who goes where you know who drafts who you know what teams what they look new coaching you know Raheem Morris okay he's no longer the coordinator and you know he's now in Atlanta as the head coach so like the main overarching storylines of of player movement coaching movement hires fires free agency draft like you got to keep up with all of that stuff I think we all do whether I was calling games or not I think we all just do it because we enjoy following football and and as a fan you just kind of keep track of all that organically now these next couple weeks I would say starting maybe next week we we know our opener um so we'll have like Atlanta uh Pittsburgh is my game so they can send me articles from like the local beat writers the local reports even if a national person goes and does a story on Russell Wilson you know and Mike Tomlin whatever like yeah I'll wake up every morning and I'll start getting clips and articles about training camp and this young rookie and I'll Breeze through them maybe not every day but a couple times a week and if I keep seeing some young rookie receiver who every day gets talked about for making plays I'll make a little note like keep an eye on this guy if he makes the roster if he's a you know so you just start reading stuff and familiarizing you with new players how's Kirk Cousins doing how's the new offensive system what are they saying about the coordinator you could just start like familiarizing yourself at least for week one um during training camp and just get an idea of you know new faces new names because you know all the real guys right you know bej Robinson you know like you know the main the main players so training camp there's a ton of Articles written there's a ton of information out there on every pass on every seven on seven on every one-on-one pass blocking drill so you you can get yourself during the month of July and into August you can get yourself pretty familiar with the first couple teams you'll have to start the season so you don't have to like crash course come week one yeah Atlanta Pittsburgh is a good week one game from there's a lot of story lines in that you know Atlanta they we thought Che would go there they ended up not doing that and then obviously Pittsburgh with the quarterback are you doing a preseason game no no preseason game this year so that'll be my first game that our crew will do um down in Atlanta how how sick of you are talking about the Brady thing I would imagine you probably have had it already no to be honest with you I'm not you know because now we're in like a different phase of it like it was like we were waiting and waiting was he going to actually do it now he's doing it now it's official so I guess like I'm at each phase you probably has different questions about it yeah and listen we all at least you hope most people like you know what you sign up for I I've gotten to know Tom now over the last couple months spent a lot of time with him last week in La at the seminar he's been awesome he's been it's been great to just get to know him personally I didn't know him that intimately when we were playing you know obviously we had seen each other before and just knew each other from playing all those years but um you know just getting to know him getting to learn about his family and hearing him talk about his his kids like it's just it's cool to see The Human Side of him and just kick back and hang and just get to kind of know him and and whatnot so I've enjoyed my time with him he's been nothing but respectful and nothing but professional through all of this which has been amazing and I've tried to be that you know in return to him so yeah I mean I I have no animosity or ill will towards Tom I mean I you know I think everyone is excited to see what it's going to be like what's his perspective Ive going to be what's his style going to be um but yeah I I I have zero animosity ill will for Tom I've tried to be as much of a resource as possible he's been tremendously professional like I said and and respectful of me and my situation um as far as our Dynamic and whatnot it's it's been great has he hit you up for broadcasting advice yeah we we've spoken a lot now a couple times on the phone obviously spent time together like I said in La last week um you know both personally just getting to know each other and kind of shooting the [ __ ] but then also talking the industry and you know some of the things that when I first came out that I had to learn the hard way and things that I look at very differently now going into year four than I did going into year one and there is an element of you don't know what you don't know um you know and I think he's doing a really nice job you know picking people's brains and getting people's opinions and obviously he's got the best partner you know you could ask for especially for somebody learning the industry and Kevin um which was kind of my biggest advice I was like when all else fails just ask Kevin and just do what he says because that's what I've done for the last three years and it served me very well um so yeah he he's been he's been very open-minded he's been very respectful been very you know thoughtful and engaging he he's been great take out Brady forget forget Tom is it weird or strange for you at all after two seasons of being on the number one crew that you're going in as the number two crew or yeah you're doing a game it's the same exact thing what what is just difference between going into a season number two as opposed to number one yeah so I guess I look at it like two ways right first and foremost the the crew that I'm going to be with this year so our producer and director Pete nardy they were the producer and director my first year with Kevin my first year doing it back in 21 so these guys I've worked with I've called a Full Slate of games with them I know them really well uh I know their style so they're worldclass producers and directors they've been doing this for a really long time and they're awesome at what they do as were Russo and and Z my producer and director last year obviously calling a million Super Bowls and and being some of the best in the business as well so like and then factor in Joe Davis I've worked with Joe before Joe would fill in for Kevin when he was doing baseball um you know back in 21 so I I've done multiple games with Joe probably four or five maybe um so I've gotten to know Joe both working and also personally so my and and obviously Pam is a legend right and again work entire season with Pam so I don't look at this crew as being like I'm oh my God I can't believe I have to go call games with these crew like these guys are world class at what they do they're incredibly talented I've learned so much from being with these guys uh you know three years ago so as far as that I'm I want to make sure I'm very clear anytime anyone asks like I don't look at that as like a demotion I don't look at that as oh man I'm moving down the ladder because these guys are unbelievably good and I'm pumped to work with them with that being said yeah when they say hey we got Kansas City San Francisco that year first time we're getting a Super Bowl rematch on network history everyone's I'm I'm assuming everybody in that room's like man I wish I was calling that game and you know for the last two games for the last two years that was us right like that was hey what's the best game and we know we're going to get that so yeah I think from a competitive standpoint and especially after you get a little taste of it of course I you know you want to call the best game you want to call you know Dallas Kansas City I don't even know if they play or San Francisco Kansas City or you know whatever the you know the opening game I think is like Dallas uh s uh Cleveland or like yeah you want to call games you want to call games in 40 million people you want to call games on Thanksgiving prime time you want to call games 425 slot like I think everybody in the industry does so yeah I mean don't get me wrong would you rather call the those games yes but as much as I love Kevin he's a dear friend to this day we talk often and z and Russo and Aaron and Tom like we became super close and called a lot of games together I'm super excited to work with Joe and Pam and Pete and Ry like I'm super I I'm not going into the season by any means like begrudgingly or half ass or oh my God I can't believe I have to call a one o'clock game and wherever like I'm excited to call games we're going to call games no different than how we always have and whatever time slot it's on our goals to try to do the best job that we can it it's funny you said what you said about you don't look at it as a demotion because obviously in doing research before you came on I did a quick Google search for Greg Olsen and there's a lot of Articles like you know Olson demoted for Brady olssen replaced by Brady olssen and I'm like it sounds so like the connotation is so negative but I I don't I don't look at it that way in your case because like this wouldn't have happened for any other person basically except for that except for Tom like so it's like it's not about you it would be anyone in that spot would have been brought down to the second crew for Brady so you know I was wondering if like the wording of it ever bothers you or annoys you a little bit because what what else can you say I mean I guess you were replaced but the C we knew it was going to happen it wasn't like they were like Greg's not doing well we're bringing in Tom it was like this was the plan so yeah and and I've learned a long time ago even as a player you can't fight every every battle right you can't rewrite every article headline you can't rewrite and and call up and counter argue what everyone says in an article about you or review you as a tight end or your combine report like my whole life people are going to make opinions people are going to write articles people are going to make of situations yeah what they make of it and I'm just not in the habit I don't have the bandwidth or really the interest of really getting into a tit fortat back and forth about well I wasn't demoted I don't really care right like you can write olsson's demoted pay cuts I've Seen It All I've seen all the Articles at the end of the day I know I'm good at this I know I can do it I've done it I'm gonna be just as good with Joe is my goal obviously I miss Kevin obviously I'm gonna miss Aaron and Tom they're arguably the best in the industry me and Joe are going to do great and our minds we're going to be awesome in our minds we're going to be talked about like that that's just how I'm going to go about it's the only way I know and um how people evaluate the situation I'm sure there's going to be comparisons between our crew and their crew and this is better this is worse this is the same I have no control over any of that well again you probably can't go there because you're in it but for Outsiders and people like me who cover this stuff I mean it was it was a great well twist isn't the right word what's the word but the fact that you again for the second year in a row when the sports Emy while all this is going on I think is pretty pretty great I mean it's a good little yeah I mean and listen makes extra juicy yeah and and again it made for fun articles the day after the Emmys and and again sometimes you're on the good side of the Articles sometimes you're not on the good side of the articles that that's kind of like did you take a picture of the Emmy Award and like send it to the bosses at Fox and I did not I did not a lot of but but listen they were happy for me and here's what I will say about the Emmy stuff I had I had a teammate Ben Hartsock that I played with a long time ago and uh he had this phrase he said nobody's too good or nobody's too old for an attaboy right his point was like he's like if the coach is gonna give you an adab boy man right because so it's kind of the same thing here like yeah yes I'm I'm older I'm experienced I'm not living and dying with an Emy and this but I'll tell you like anyone that says it doesn't feel good anyone that's saying yeah it's better than not winning one is lying they're lying because they're trying to sound cool and nonchalant abely when you're recognized for your work when you're recognized in any in any field when you're recognized your hard work achievement people respond to what you're doing people relate and and connect with what you're doing it's it's really nice validation you know it's nice to know that it's being received that the hard work is not just floa FL Into Thin Air for no reason and um at the end of the day our role as broadcasters as media members is to connect with our audience in a unique and a fun way that's engaging and makes these people want to come back next time and that's what we try to do and it was deserved last one on this I promise I thought Comedy Central missed a great opportunity it's all right if you have to run let me know no go go go go I thought Comedy Central missed a great opportunity by not having you be one The Roaster at the Tom Brady roast would you have said yes if they asked I would have said yes if they asked beforehand after watching it I'm glad I wasn't asked right that makes sense to 100% it makes because I think everyone sort of feels that way was I whether the person's in on it and obviously he was a great Sport and we all watch that's not really like my kind of humor it's not really like I don't know how comfortable I would have been if that's what the writers like wanted me to go down I don't know how comfortable I would have been but like when I found out they were doing it I was like oh my God like how many fun jokes like if Tom and I were both like in alignment to like really play off this yeah a lot of the things we could have really said I think would have been funny and we could have kind of really embraced it and dove into the whole dynamic of the last year but um yeah but beforehand if they would have talked to me about it I would yeah it would have been and obviously Tom being part of it would have been the reason I would ever do it just good fun afterwards I was like oh glad you know yeah well I think you could have maybe I mean you could have done it without the jokes about Jazelle and his I mean you could have been in there and be like this [ __ ] took my job and like at least then almost more like Drew bledo which I thought was kind of yes exactly yeah yeah but you would have been a much better surprise guest than Ben Affleck I was oh yeah he wasn't great um uh I we could have leaned into it The Comedy Central people apparently didn't have the uh yeah I don't know the for site I guess I don't know let me ask you I I I know you probably got to Rong but I'm just curious because you I know they just had tight end University and it's you and KD and Kelsey yep give me like I see so much about it it looks like the most fun thing you could possibly do give me and the listeners if you don't mind just like a summation of like how long it is what you guys do what the goal is how fun is involved how much football is involved because we see so much about it I'm just C and all you guys look like I mean hanging out with you KD and Kelsey I would imagine is uh yeah never a dull moment the best the best part of the event is I feel like now after our fourth year we've struck a really good balance between football which is still the core that's the anchor and the foundation of what we do we are in Nashville for two and a half call it three days of football that is why we're there that is the foundation that's the inspiration of the entire event but we've also gotten to the point and said hey we're not going to do football for 15 hours a day so when we're not when we get our football done and we get our stuff done during the morning in the afternoon our meetings we go we do classroom talks we do presentations then we go out on the field we run routes I mean it's it's real work a lot of the guys do like weightlifting in the morning and and Recovery stuff I mean it's it's real preparation for the season and training camp when all that's done then we have a lot of fun and we take care of the guys we we throw a really cool welcome party we put them up in a really nice hotel in Nashville this year we did a a budlight um sponsored uh party right there on in downtown right there on that main strip in downtown Nashville and we had jelly roll and Chris Lane and like worldclass performers and it was a it was called like tight ends and friends um but we know we sold tickets and there was general admission I mean the place was packed and and obviously all the family and friends of the tight ends in town you know come and and take in the concert so we try to do as much fun at night dinners parties Great Fellowship connecting the guys around the league and I think that's really the beauty of the position is you know you got George KD and Travis Kelce and and all these you know these Stars the the the top of the game and they're in there and they're like giving their secrets this is this is how you do these routes this is and they're showing clips and Kelsey's talking about how he adjust his routes on the Fly and George KD's doing a presentation on Run game and pass blocking and just you're hearing from really really interesting you know Dak Prescott is there and we have an opportunity for the quarterbacks to talk and say okay from the perspective of the quarterback here's what you need to know as a tight end a receiver whatever so it's a it's really a unique event um I didn't know non-tight ends were allowed we have quarterbacks because obviously somebody's got to throw the ball right right so Kurt Cousins was in town he sat in on all the meetings Dak was in every meeting last year Josh Allen was there Zach Wilson's come so we we've had really good tght quarterbacks over the years and um which is a whole different perspective and I think it's valuable for the young guys too but um yeah I mean we have everybody from Hall of Famers to guys just hoping to make the practice squad as a rookies I mean we we have everybody in between we got I think every year we're give or take 65 70 sometimes a little bit more um and it's just a really cool event all all the excess proceeds that we get from our sponsors all goes to charity um I think we gave like $600,000 in charity this year away mostly in the Nashville surrounding area to the youth organizations there with our partners um so yeah it's a it's a really it's a really unique event and and it's something that we hope to keep doing for a long time I'm sure there's some fantasy football players listening to this give me give them a sleeper tight end for the like not kelse your KD or something give me like a sleeper tight end for for the listeners yeah you know maybe not a sleeper because I think last year as a rookie busted on the seam and had a really good year up in in Detroit was LE pora yeah and so I don't mean like a sleeper like yeah he was productive last year I don't know and I called a million Lions games I don't know if I realized how Dynamic he really was and how well he ran and moved like he was really good but seeing him up close and personal like just t-shirt and shorts he's a big guy he can run he can bend he can get in at of cuts I don't know if I realized from AF far just how athletic he was until I saw him up close in personal and he's a young guy that I think's just scratching the surface and um it's not easy to get into that KD Kelce upper echelon guys right Dallas GD you know he's there he's obviously a a top guy for a number of years now but like for a young guy to play as well as he did last year and then from a physical standpoint there's really nothing he he can't do I think leapor has got a chance in a couple years again I'm not saying he's kid Kelce right now but his trajectory over time eventually does get you know again if things go A lot has to go your way and whatnot but he's I think he has the chance to be pretty unique I'm a huge leor fan but mainly because he won me a lot of money last year on prop bets where I bet like four games where he'd have a touchdown and he came through for me uh last one best tight end of all time is it Kelsey or grank man I I I right now I think it's a three-headed monster between Kelsey grank and Gonzalez I I grew up in the Gonzalez era both like high school college and then obviously overlapped with him in in the league for for a number of years just because he played so damn long I never thought in a million years anyone would be able to match the consistency the longevity and the production of Tony when when you look when you're only trailing Jerry Rice you're you're pretty good you know or he might be third or he might be like Jerry Rice and like to I I don't remember exactly who's at the top I know it's Jerry Rice Tony's somewhere there around like three or something I don't know if anyone was ever going to catch that and I think that's why I always held Tony to such a highight and again he's my era of growing up you know kind watching and following him grank then busts onto the scene and onto the scene what he was able to do in that flurry of years both regular season and postseason and what he could do in the Run game and all that like that was a perfect situation and obviously he took it and ran with it and has now entered the conversation the longevity of the position that Kelsey's now been able to do thousand yards would have been his seventh or eighth this year but I don't think they played him in the final game so I think he lost out by like eight yards he didn't get a thousand but call it a th000 again when I got a thousand yards three times in a row nobody had ever done it I think he's at like seven eight like something Gonzalez and Gates never did a thousand yards three years in a row before before Kelce the most thousand yards seasons is four total but they weren't in sequence yeah they it was like two no no then another one they were kind of spread out no one had done three in a row so I did three in a row Travis has now blown three in a row and I think it ended last year I believe seven was the was the final number seven in a row if he can continue to have two or three more seasons at around that thousand plus what he's done record-breaking in the playoffs yeah the amount of playoff games and and obviously that goes a long way into accumulating those numbers I never thought I would say this but in two three years from now if he has another two three like he's had I think when he steps away I think Kelsey might be that guy plus I mean as long as Mahomes is healthy they'll probably win another super bowl or two in the next few years too you got figure which obvious helps conversation so yeah because he always has big games in the in the you know he has big games usually in the postseason I think he only Trails Jerry Rice in postseason production right right is remarkable I I know you probably got it on I want to give you since you was so nice to come on and humor me with all that if you want I know you do a lot with youth sports if there's anything you want to plug talk about I know it's a big thing you you I know you have a podcast about it anything you want to say about it plug I want to give you the floor and and yeah do whatever you want people to if you want people to check something out let let them know yeah so we actually we we announced that we we announced a big seed fundraising round um a couple a couple call it months now I guess um you know it's a it's a it's a podcast comany that we started called youth Inc and now we've kind of expanded it to more of like a a platform and really long story short what it's going to be is it's going to be a Content driven Youth Sports marketplace where we've partnered with some really interesting content creators and we're and we're continuing to add more and more ambassadors to our content um group as we speak we're gonna we're going to launch this fall officially like go live with a lot of our content we've created um not only of myself but of a bunch of other content creat that have joined and that content is really going to be like the spearhead towards our brand awareness and understanding that we want to be like a utility in the Youth Sports World for education of coaches players parents best practices what does this journey of Youth Sports look like and it's a very complicated and and very strange everchanging world for anybody raising a kid boy or girl RA in playing Youth Sports Under is kind of home shaking their head listening to this and then the the real unique aspect is um Ryan Bay who was a longtime executive at Fanatics he's come on as one of our co-founders and him and his team is building out a a youth sports Marketplace to really consolidate you know how you purchase fan wear teamware gear uniforms jerseys equipment all things think of the Fanatics of Youth Sports in a general sense of a Marketplace so the idea that we have this content to Commerce structure in this one General platform that can really service all the needs of the Youth Sports bace um the content will go live in the fall to to start building that momentum and then the market the the the e-commerce backend website component will be will be live um at the you know first half of 25 and we we think it has a pretty cool opportunity to not only be a great resource and a tool for the Youth Sports Marketplace but also streamline a lot of very fragmented elements of what that world looks like both from a educational standpoint and best practices but also from just how do I order my kid a hoodie with his school on it how do I get forms that all match and don't take 12 months to get in and and you know the back end and the supply chain and all that so we're pretty excited about the team that we've built and um we think you think has a chance to be a pretty significant player in that space You know here at the end of this year and and going into 25 all right you think everyone check it out and uh we will be hearing you hopefully soon what about six seven weeks away from the NFL season and uh and the big takeaway Greg was not hammered barely even drunk in that photo that is the big takeaway from this podcast a fair it's a fair ass do you have I know the football do you have any weddings coming up in the next I'm done no I'm done and and you'd have to be a barbarian to get married during the football season and do that to your friends so like this is the last month here for people to go to weddings no weddings during the football season all right yes all right Greg olon from Fox appreciate it be well take care thanks all right joining me now as he does every week for our train of thought segment from WFAN radio in New York SNY TV in New York my buddy Salat Sal how are you I'm very good how are you good good glad to hear you're very good yeah that's that's good enjoying the summer I'm looking forward to you know a couple of vacation weeks and I'm also while enjoying the summer I'm excited about the start of football season it's we're it's starting I had Greg Olsen on we're starting to I saw your Tweet about the broadcast teams and I could feel even though I didn't talk to you yet I could feel your excitement for it and I just know that it's coming yeah I'm looking forward to the catalon Jason mccordi Tiki Barber team they're gonna they they move mccardy up mccordi up to that team and catalon is great so I think that's going to be a good team for CBS I think they're like the fourth you know CBS has uh nans and Romo Ian with Charles Davis harlon and Trent green and then catalon mccordi I don't usually like three people in the booth but um that that I think that could be a good Booth it could be a really good Booth yeah I liked them last year because I love Matt Ryan and Tiki's my guy like I work with Tiki so I was curious because I love Matt Ryan and Tiki so I didn't mind the three man booth in that particular case Matty Ice now being moved to Studio of course but just reading the tweet and seeing the pairings I could not only feel your excitement I feel the fall I know it's summer but I could just I started to Envision on the couch and the chip I'm not there yet I'm not there yet with the fall but the training camps have opened did you see what I posted um I put it on Twitter and Instagram that's when you know when I put it on both that's when you know it's important the shirt the sweatshirt that Braxton bios for to Camp I did I did see that this is why I he deserves props it's not that he wore a shirt that just said The Sopranos or had The Sopranos logo on it the shirt that Braxton beros wor to the first day at Dolphins camp on Tuesday was an image of one of the um promotional posters from like one of the seasons that's taking it to a Next Level you deserve deserve credit now would you cuz I did see that no I would not wear that shirt no okay I I'm not well I don't know but I I don't well I mean I have like a shirt I have like a vandalay industry shirt I have a that's baseball Susan shirt I don't know if I'd wear the you know the faces of Junior and Christopher and Adriana and and Paulie Walnuts I'm I don't know if I go that far it it's a nice poster I don't know if it's a nice shirt but I'm just like a loser blogger like he's an NFL player so they need you know fashion is their their whole thing is fashion it's like you know these NBA players when they show up in the arena now it's a whole thing about what they're wearing so I would wear it I would wear it yeah for Braxton beros I think it's you know it's fine it's loud it's loud it was cool it was a cool shirt my issue was he's wearing a sweatshirt and it's a th degrees in Miami but they probably didn't make that in a t-shirt so he had to wear it exactly so but that was a good job by him that's for sure um yeah but I can I can uh I saw I think there's like a preseason football game next week if I'm not mistaken are you gonna bet it which is well that's in um probably but I mean just the fact let me just see something here do they have Thursday August 1st that's next week Texans at Bears ESPN that's the Hall of Fame game I mean I these games were so tough to watch no I agree but your point about football returning one week from Thursday August 1 we'll have a game on the television and I know you're not into fantasy but the fantasy draft starting and all that stuff get the email from one of the leagues that I was in I don't know if I'm going to continue to be in but it's all happening it's I should go find the clip of you at the end of last year saying you're done with fantasy yeah well Twitter Twitter and fantasy you've been done thousands of times and here you still are there are parts of fantasy that I still like parts of it but also at times it's just it's just too much so I don't know I have I still haven't figured out how I'm gonna watch this football season every year I say the same thing it's going to be different this year just the New York teams no more all the games and I can't help myself I already have I already no offense but that's such a stupid stupid statement to make if the Chiefs are playing the Bengals at 425 on a Sunday what do you mean New York teams only meaning that I wouldn't watch multiple games at once like if the Jets and Giants are on at one or four because it you really can't watch those games the way that you should you know to do my job the way that I want to be able to do it so if the Giants are playing the commanders at 4:00 on Fox and the Chiefs are playing the Bengals at 4:00 on CBS you're just going to watch the one game GI Giants commanders and that's I'm saying that's that's what I should do right like you're GNA quit Twitter like you're gonna quit fanty yeah I know I just I I love being I will tell you this it's gonna be a step down because you know we move so we have a different setup and I'm I'm not bringing in additional TVs I could have the iPad I guess for an additional screen but right now it's just going to be the YouTube Sunday Ticket which will allow me to have four games Max at once so if you add the iPad okay I could have five games at once but I I don't want any more than that that it's just Overkill it that downsizing S four is enough is it not four at once not if there's eight games going on so what do you give me your example you get the two TVs you're G to have them both on different game mixes so you have all the eight on right right but it's also it's also you know you're talking about like if yeah I could have them up on the iPad I'm not bringing in a different TV I just I'm going to stick with them four on the big screen and an add that all right I ADM I admire your discipline but I just sound on the Giants and or Andor Jets horrific um just horrific um I'm going to put the over under at 30 seconds and and I'm going to bet the under how much of the Olympics will you watch oh my God come on come on when does it even start I have no idea well it starts on Friday that's why I'm asking you none I have no I just have no interest in it it's no no disrespect to the great Olympians and countries participating I have zero interest like l but I'm not even going to couch it with respect to the Olympians in the countries I just couldn't care less so it's did zero all right so we got that out of the way to talk wanted to keep it current yeah they did say like they're making a big deal out of the basketball like like I give a crap about that I haven't cared about that since 1992 so come on yeah I don't I watching us basketball play I don't know Australia doesn't do it for me in the middle of the summer um do you know any of the other events like winter Olympics are more interesting to me sometimes I I used to like the figure skating or the curling I don't I don't I don't know what events are in what Olympics right like figure skating like is that summer or winter I don't know I think that's winter I'm pretty sure swimming like I don't know that's summer I think Javelin like I don't like I don't know probably summer I'm guessing wrestling like I I have no idea what any of them that's an Olympic sport wrestling I don't know is it isn't it like amateur wrestling not WWE but like the real must be didn't Kurt Angle wasn't he Olympian oh yeah how about speaking of the Olympics how about peacock raising their price to $33.99 a month right before the Olympic start so so help me out with this it's not going to be the Olympics are not going to be on NBC well they are but is one channel they can only show a limited amount of stuff I think cuz what these streaming what what they do with streaming is they put everything on streaming right so you can watch everything at any time right and let me ask you they raise the price $2 a month the month that the Olympic starts it's just so right when I so I have peacock just quickly just for the listeners I signed up for peacock when the WWE Network got moved to Peacock it was it was now peacock on its own just regular peacock $5 a month but if you want the WWE Network which gives you the pay-per-views for free every month then it's $10 a month so I've been paying $10 a month for peacock since the WWE Network went there which is a great deal because you get the pay-per-views WrestleMania SummerSlam King fine now it's gone from $10 to $14 a month just never ends never ends okay so I have two questions for you on this go ahead I I signed up I I quit and then I signed up again for the playoff game quit so I'm clean with that I'm not connected to Peacock at all number one a business model would they not be better off having people consistently there for 9.99 whatever it may be all year as opposed to hiking it for this and then having people drop balls after listen what you say makes 100 % sense the issue is there there there are so many people who are like you and actually remember to cancel right like the thing is okay you want to sign up for the NFL playoff game that's fine the day after that playoff game on that Monday you've got to call and cancel and make sure you don't get build enough I think with all of these Services they Bank on people not cancelling their subscriptions and that's how they make all their money although I will say The other reason I brought this up it is funny peacock in the second quarter of 2024 lost 500,000 subscribers and I'm sure all of those subscribers were the people who signed up for the NFL playoff game and then after a month or two realized oh I'm still getting bills for Peacock let me cancel this because in a in the streaming world that we're in now to lose half a million subscribers in a quarter that's what k T loses not streaming so for a streaming service to that is significant and I bet it's all those NFL people who signed up in that for that playoff game right and I guess my point is if you were providing that service for a lesser amount let's just say $699 whatever whatever that number is right and people are like ah eight bucks a month seven Buck who gives a [ __ ] I'll just Rite instead of signing up and quitting it but at but at 13 certainly or at 10 it's like well 10 bucks a month for this I'll just pick it back up in January again yeah no you I that's a good point it makes sense I just they must have so many people who don't cancel and then then also just milk it like now they're gonna have all the people who are forced that love the Olympics that want to watch it so they'll upcharge them for a couple of months and then they'll lose them after it's over right and then you're GNA have the person out there who goes oh well I want to watch the Olympics so I'll get it for the Olympics and I'll cancel it in you know when the Olympics are over oh wait but then they're going to put an NFL regular season game and then they're going to put an NL player you know the the bubble though at some point the bubbles got a burst on these streaming services just because it's too much well they need to combine yeah they need to combine exactly as much as I love everything and like oh B shows exclusive to that Network I've drawn the line in the S like I'm just not doing it yeah so Sunday tiet something that to me is non-negotiable that's where I'm going to choose to spend even the WWE Network and that was going to be my followup to that because isn't that going to Netflix at some point no Monday Night Raw is going to Netflix so the library for WWE network is always going to be on peacock or at least well I think the contract runs through 2026 so that's still G to be on there for a while that's maybe in 2026 it'll go to Netflix and then the day that happens I'll cancel peacock well that that's kind of my point is that that is something even though I don't watch the current stuff I still think it's a good value to have an entire library of all their history which I enjoy watching sometimes it could be once a month it could be once every five months but like oh let me watch Royal Rumble 92 or let me watch current day WrestleMania like I liked having that but like even that at some point it's like I just gotta cut it off if it were uh you know cheaper price maybe or if it were combined with something else maybe but I I just I just can't justify it anymore because it's it's all they're bleeding you to death seven here nine here 10 here 12 here before you know you're paying again 250 bucks and it's fascinating to see what's going on with the NBA with so Warner Brother Discovery matches the Amazon offer and now the balls in the NBA court but the NBA doesn't want to be partnered with TNT they want to be partnered with Amazon because everyone is cutting cable so it sounds like if when you read the experts on this it sounds like you know MB uh the NBA's argument is going to be Amazon has 200 million million subscribers 89 people 89 million people get TNT so that's not considered a mat you can't match the reach the language in the contract is going to be is it match dollar or match what you can provide so it's going to end up in litigation I'm sure unless the NBA just pays off Warner Brothers Discovery and says you know take this money and leave us alone and we'll move on but the NBA wants to be with a streaming service over the Network that has aired them for 30 plus years it's crazy yeah I don't know how because of the reach because of the reach of Amazon you know Amazon and Netflix and Netflix are global global audiences don't you think that this is a a major problem here not just the NBA I'm talking about in general how there's that divide between everything where it should kind of come back to the way that it was whether it's all streaming or not it should well it's not going to come back to cable because everyone's canceling cable right but just make it then an ultimate streaming service or would team up to where you can buy peacock and Amazon whatever the hell it is the cable channels are in big trouble the cable channels are in big big trouble one more thing before you move on here because I don't want to forget and it also monthly stuff so you you recommended The Michael Richards book yeah and I subscribed to audible which I used to love but even that I think now is like 1999 a month or whatever but I got a month yeah I got a but that's unlimited credits I got a month free so I signed up for a free month and I could have one credit and then I could cancel it so I did that for The Michael Richards book I loved that book so much he was so good it was 15 hours of just entertainment education it was a a perfect Escape he and him and his words performing that reliving the Steinfeld moments and his career I I thank you for the recommendation and I passed it on to other people it could not have been more enjoyable so much so that not only might I stay with audible but I would almost consider Rel listening to this book that's how much I love that Michael Richards book The all I'm happy to hear that I'm glad my I I don't like when I give out a bad recommendation so that makes me happy did you know about his father like I didn't know I don't think I don't think I knew that no I did not I mean my my God he he had a a tough rough yep yes yep yep which explains sort of I mean he's a to put it mildly he's quirky right very mildly well well he's very um philosophical and I don't know if earthy is the right word but like yeah so much so that even hearing him describing how he purchased his house was like holy [ __ ] like C cash only did not want any debt don't want any debt and like an old school architecture Style house and it just y it was it was a very enjoyable book I highly recommend it much like it would great yep speaking of cyel I'm not going to get into the political issue here but I saw that like the viewership on the max HBO Max app for vep went up like 400% in the last three days and I said I bet Sal had never watched vep did you watch vep when it was on originally I did I loved it oh you did yes okay okay I don't know I don't know what got me started on it but I did I did life thought was a great show Lov it it's a phenomenal show so I'm glad that people who maybe did not watch it when it was on are now watching it but why so do you know that Joe Biden step down yes and he's not gonna okay do you know that it's likely that kamla Harris is gonna run yeah see I don't get how that's why that's the case but I guess yes so she do you know who kamla Harris is I mean I I vaguely I don't know anything about her but I know do you know what her title is do you know what her role is oh okay so she's the vep ah I got it okay yeah let's clip this Shelby yeah I you got it now you got it now so that inspired people to go back and watch be well because what's happening in real life was h happened on the show where the president stepped down and then she got to run yeah now well I'm GNA Reserve comment clearly s has not been fixated to CNN for the last three days no I don't pay I can't pay attention to any of that yeah so Julia Louie dfus was the vep KLA Harris is the vep and now KLA Harris is gonna run for president Julia Louie dfus and V ran president so that's why people are flocking to the show now probably to like try to pull Clips to go viral and create memes and stuff but people are right the difference obviously is that one was a show a comedy that was written by writers which I enjoyed because it was a comedy not political it would be a sad state if that mirrored the the spoof essentially well that cat went out of the bag when the host of The Apprentice was the president of the United States for four years but I will say this if you've never seen vep it's possible to even describe how good Julia Lou dfus is in that show oh my God I mean it's just yeah I like supporting cast as well I thought she's she's bril absolutely absolutely all right last thing here because I said I got to get Sal's take on this I I need Sal's take on this when it happened so there is this whole thing I wrote about it one of the days this week where there is this trend where the Phillies Nick castalanos seems to always Homer on big news events so on Sunday was the day Biden announced he was not going to run for reelection and then castalano's humed and everyone on Twitter was going crazy I mean people when Biden stepped down there were all these people who went to DraftKings at FanDuel to bed on castalanos hitting a home run that day and then he did and I was like annoyed on Sunday by the amount of tweets and I'm like do people this is just like a coincidence type of like why like the fact that people are so into this annoyed me but then I saw a tweet and I did a 180 because this guy tweeted the guy on Twitter at rj24 and he listed every single thing that has happened on days that Nick Castellanos is homered and it is batsh [ __ ] insane so it all started the whole thing started when people picked this up was when Tom brenaman used a gay slur on the air and then well he thought he was off the air but then it went out over the air and then he apologized during the game and in the middle of his apology castalano's Homer this was back when he was on the Reds right there's a deep to left or whatever but supposedly he homered when they when a broadcast was in the middle of doing a eulogy for WW2 veteran he hit a homer one there was a 911 Tri tribute video package running on the air he homered when the opposing team's coach was apologizing for getting a DUI he homered in a spring training game 10 minutes after Will Smith slapped Chris Rock he homered on the day of Dwayne H Haskins death he homered during a eulogy for the just deceased PA announcer for the stadium in Philadelphia he homered on the day there was a cancer announcement for his team's owner he homered on the day of Vince scully's death announcement he homered an hour after the death of Queen Elizabeth was announced he homered the day there was a bridge collapse killing several people he homered on the day there was the assassination attempt on Trump and then the day Biden withdrew from the race and there are actually a couple others I didn't even read off this list I can't if people want to make a big deal about this I have to stand down you have every right to make a big deal about it I mean for he hit he hits a lot of homers and a lot of crazy things happen like he's not Aaron judge I mean all well but but apparently he's hitting a bunch of homies here the other thing I would say is how many big events like that like because you could just pick and choose how many like did he Homer on the day that Shannon NY passed away did he Homer on the day that uh who else died recently that we talked about like Dr Ruth and uh Richard Simmons yeah yeah did he did he well what okay so so to answer your question I guess the person who did the Tweet must have run out of characters because it says here it it says here's a list of all the castano some runs during significant events and it says three other celebrity deaths so I mean what you can't fight this one you can't fight this one I think there were a couple like the the brenaman thing obviously and then there was another one or two after that that was like when somebody was reading something during the game something was being shown the home that was wild the other stuff is just coincidence yeah like come on but there's a lot there there's a lot there so well what do we do with that information great okay as we said as we've been saying we don't do fun but that one I got into a little when I saw that tweet I'm like because that because at first I thought the Tweet was fake and I said in my head I said how could he have homered on the night that Will Smith slapped Chris Rock because that's the Oscars are in like March right he I went and actually looked it up and he homered in spring training game so then I was like oh my God this is real that's good job by the guy on Twitter I mean he banged out a lot of stuff there so give him credit give him credit all right that's all I got for this week s all right what uh and what do are we no vacation now yet right you just came back right you're Oh no I got uh next week I'll be back and then the week after I'm on vacation okay all right but I'll still be here I think for you unless are you taking any vacation or no I don't think so I'll I don't know not really during I might take a day here and there I think I'm GNA go to the Mad Dog Bar show in Jersey so I might take that day shout out to dog three-year extension at SiriusXM so I'll God bless plenty of I plenty of content s a former producer on the mic in the mayad dog show so he know by when when is that bar show Friday oh this Friday yeah ah okay yeah so I might make a trek because it was really fun last year but uh he's going to have 19 years at Serius and 19 years at the fan which is kind of crazy when you think about it so if he I know he did go on the radio all fan but if he had to pick like a thing you know what I mean if you were a player what would you say more fan or more serious I mean I think fan just because that's where it started I know but he's even become bigger now with the first take stuff and it's but there's he wouldn't be doing any of this if it wasn't for the fan for the first 19 years yeah that is true are you going to go in as a fan guy at w yeah right oh or you never know or I mean it's so early SNY has actually been the one con I've been there for 15 years I know believe I know everything else has been you know seven here four o back here you know who knows what the future holds doggy doggy paved a nice little road map for for some of us he want to follow in his footsteps would you go to sirius I don't like myam I get in trouble no no I'm not going to get in trouble I I will just answer it honestly and quickly like I would I always just wanted to be on the fan so I'm happy where I'm at but I don't think in this business especially the way that the landscape has changed who the hell knows at this particular point you just never know right thank God though the fan is like such a big thing in New York that like the fan will always be around in New York but yeah like even guys even guys like stugots who have had success elsewhere he he still wants to be at the fan I don't even know I can't even follow that story I don't know what's a bit what's not a bit but but listen if you ever went to series at least anyone to watch the Jets and Giants they you watch the good games on Sundays that is true yeah all right s we'll see you next week take it easy all right talk to you by all right my many thanks for
