What Did We LEARN About Michigan Wolverines Football From Connor Stalions Netflix Documentary?

I loved the documentary I watched it last night thought it was tremendous so that's one part of this it's a college football story I think it's relevant to where we are as the college football public and college football sios that's one part of this the other part of this is I'm like man there's college football to actually be talked about do we really do we really want to beat this dead horse again when it comes to the Conor stallion situation like I think even Conor stallion at this point is like I'd rather we just move on the guys trying to coach High School football a DC so more power to him and I'm I mean I'm not saying that factiously like he wants to get on with his life too Michigan fans I'm assuming it's most of y'all watching this video make sure you're subscribed right here to the on three YouTube channel talking college football talking your Wolverines talking everything that has to do with the greatest sport on the face of planet Earth right here we appreciate y'all in advance for being subscribed I thought it was awesome I thought it was well done I appreciated the storytelling behind it and I'll say this too whatever your opinion was going into this documentary of Conor stallions of the Michigan situation it probably didn't change like if you're an Ohio State fan and you're like they cheated this was invalid they you know cheated their way to beating us and they can't beat us straight up this doc didn't change your opinion if you're a Michigan fan and you're like nope everything we did was above board you can't touch us your your evidence so so-called is like not actually that legitimate this doesn't change your opinion either so I don't think information wise this this like broke any cases wide open if anything it just turned the volume up on both sides and their own opinions however this to me illuminated that Connor stallions I believe genuinely thinks he did nothing wrong and the reason why I feel that way is if you think you did something wrong you don't sit for an hour and a half documentary and he sat for a lot longer than that I have to imagine for all the uh the dialogue he provided for this documentary like if if you think that you're guilty you don't put yourself in the public eye on a Netflix stock to allow the entire world to pick your story apart so that's the other part of this I would also say my own opinion as you all have heard me say many a Time didn't change as we mentioned at the top of this segment like your opinion doesn't change based on this documentary my opinion is for those of y'all that are just now joining us I know y a lot of youall are finding the show for college football season here's my opinion as someone who's not an Ohio State fan not a Michigan fan I had no dog in the fight man I love college football with every fiber of my being here's my opinion Michigan probably cheated Michigan probably cheated I do not believe that Connor stallions was just some Rogue staffer that that Jim Harbaugh and Company had no idea what was going on probably cheated probably broke the rules that's one part of this the other part of this is I am not naive enough to believe that Connor stallin is the only person in the college football world doing these sorts of things okay you think Connor steinan just got this idea on his own to have people record the sidelines and whatnot he got caught so that's in of itself probably worth something but I'm just saying I'm not naive enough to believe that he's the only one going to these lengths to Advanced Scout okay so that's that now to kind of tie this whole thing together when it comes to my opinion again I don't think this is the end all Beall for why Michigan was successful and if that is your opinion my opinion on that opinion is that you're coping you're coping and you you do what you want to do again you're entitled to whatever you want to believe about this situation if that is what helps you sleep at night thinking that Connor stallions was the the guy who took down Ohio state three times in a row and allowed Michigan to win a National Championship more power to you I happen to believe it was probably the double digit NFL draft picks but that's just me now I want us to take our fanhood glasses off for a second if we can and it's a big ask but if we can do that I'd love for us to just have this discussion right now because watching this documentary I wasn't sure what to expect of a Conor stallions like all I had seen on social media was him on the sideline wearing the glasses and looking like he was at Central Michigan which let's be real he probably if not more than probably was at Central Michigan for that game pretty crazy it is what it is the other thing I saw was his reaction to watching uh Michigan football on the TV and dude is fired up like like turn up the most intense fan that you know to 11 yelling at the TV sitting by himself singing the fight song I was like this dude's a little bit crazy and so I expected to watch this documentary and hear him talk and be like okay this this was a crime of passion it seems like I expected Conor stallion to be a little bit of a of a weird dude maybe a little bit nerdy like a little bit awkward I didn't get that vibe to be honest like to be honest the vibe I got was Conor stallion is just an obsessed dude and again we're taking the fanhood glasses off for a second so if you're an Ohio State fan you've probably not even if you watched this video probably turned it off you're a Michigan fan you're like yeah let's go again let's just put all the fanhood stuff to a side for a second I admire people who are obsessed with their craft okay I'm just going to say that I admire people who are 110% in I'm not I'm not promoting cheating I'm not promoting breaking the rules all that is wrong again I think Michigan probably broke the rules I think Conor stallion broke the rules I'm not for that but in a vacuum I would say anybody who cares enough to film themselves doing thousands of signals and have a several thousand file or several thousand Google doc whatever it was to have just a behemoth of information and files dedicated to coaching Michigan football in the future to be that obsessed I'm like okay is that weird yeah is that uh a bit much yeah is it bad to cheat of course do I respect the heck out of the dedication and the obsessive nature about something he cares about deeply also yes again not promoting it but there is some small part of you watching what Connor stallion did to try and get Michigan football to the heights that he wanted it at and you're like okay in some way shape or form whether it's helping Michigan win football games whether it's excelling at your office job like if any of us were 50% as dialed in and committed and going not just the extra mile the extra 10 miles that Conor stallions did there's something that uh I think again taking the fanhood glasses off saying cheating is wrong there's something where you're like okay I can uh I can respect that I can respect that not promoting cheating I don't know how many times to say that I think that's bad I think that Che I think that's wrong I think they should be punished all that however there's a part of you that respects the obsessive nature with his craft and what he cared about guy found a way to be involved in Michigan football went all the way in a guy found a way to be involved in in in Navy football went all the way in also backtrack a little bit dude wants to be a football coach so he says okay I'm going to go to the military and we kind of glossed over that part of the documentary y'all know how hard it is to get into the Naval Academy like that's that's like single digit percent acceptance rate I mean that that is ridiculous and he goes there to the creme de Creme of military preparation knowing is going to have to serve after to be a football coach I'm just saying the the more that you unpack the entirety of his story the more you're like okay at the very least you can respect the commitment to the craft and the obsessive nature about it so again if you think this was the difference for Michigan this wasn't changing your mind if you think that Michigan didn't cheat it's not changing your mind but I left just appreciative of the story and again the fact that he decided to sit for this documentary again screams that he does not believe he did anything wrong that's his belief I don't believe that but that's his belief and um we'll see how this thing plays out going forward if there is more news to be had about that which again we got college football games I hope there's not a whole lot more to unpack with that but it is what it is hey y'all thanks so much for watching subscribe
