10 BEST Group of Five College Football Stadiums in 2023!

Intro ladies and gentlemen welcome into another college football rankings video and guys today I'm going to be ranking the top 10 group of five college football stadiums right now a lot of these stadiums potentially getting Renovations on top of it really nice locations guys let's kick it off at number 10 it is protective Stadium you heard that right yes protective Stadium home of UAB if you're wondering where is the like what is this this is a brand new stadium that opened in 2021 and it's very nice you know it reminds me of Houston's Stadium a little bit it does have a smaller capacity but it seamlessly fits into the city here just looking at it and I really like it it also has a very nice builtup exterior when you're talking about group of five stadiums that's very rare but also kind of strange the fact that a college football team actually built a new stadium that normally never happens normally they just keep keep getting renovations to their older stadiums but yes UAB and their brand new stadium it comes in at number 10 on the list of best group of five stadiums you could honestly move this one up a little bit I mean it is brand new you would think it would be higher but for me it just doesn't have that big of a capacity I still like it but if I were to be a little nitpicky on it I would say it's a little bit Bland we would like to see something unique about it there's just not much there in terms of that kind of reminds me of Houston where you build a new stadium but there's nothing special about it that's all right it's group of five the bar is pretty low here folks it's still a solid Stadium it comes in at number 10 at number nine it is FAU Stadium home of Florida Atlantic in this one I really like the exterior Landscaping all the green you can see the one of the end zones to the right and to the left of it they do have the nice palm trees very tropical I like that feel and this is another Stadium that's relatively new it was built in 2011 so for college football that's very FAU Stadium new just looking at the seating design of it obviously very small in terms of capacity it's FAU it is what it is uh the only thing I'll say that's kind of a negative I really wish they would have left the one End Zone open and just filled it with a bunch of palm trees like a palm tree farm or something could you imagine that kind of like the old Miami Stadium had the Orange Bowl that would just be cool but you know overall it is a nice Vibe I like the exterior look of it when you see all the green surrounding it and the seating again it doesn't hurt that the seating is semi- new being built in 2011 you can tell it doesn't look rundown it's got a good blue color to it so it comes in at number nine on my list at number eight War Memorial Stadium it is War Memorial Stadium this is home of Wyoming and this is actually pretty relevant considering Wyoming they they have a really good HomeField Advantage the one thing I really like about this Stadium behind the one end zone you can see the scoreboard but then you've got kind of the pine trees that's that nice Wyoming Vibe the little Forest that's a great incorporation and then behind the other end zone you've got a building it would be cool if they built that building up and maybe put like a rooftop bar on top of it I mean obviously Wyoming they're probably not good enough to afford something like that but they could certainly improve this Stadium a little bit and make it legitimately the best group of five stadium in college football but I don't think it's receiving any Renovations anytime soon but who knows either way I like the vibe of it you know when it comes to the stands it's it's pretty average it's kind of a weird like two deck thing but the one deck is right on top of the other one I really that's kind of interesting there but it's going to come also the exterior is brutal they they would have to upgrade the exterior as well it's going to come in at number eight on my list at number seven it is Valley Children Stadium Valley Children's Stadium home of Fresno State yes Fresno State they are getting their major renovation coming in a year to this stadium and it's going to be vastly improved they're adding overhangs to it it's going to be like a metal type look very nice just looking at the stadium it is one giant bowl of seating a very long gated Bowl almost looks like it's a 120 130 rows up and it does get very loud there Fresno State they've enjoyed a break out year in college football although they did lose to Wyoming Unfortunately they still made some noise they were ranked good for them and they've got a good stadium with a renovation on the way it gets very loud there uh it comes in at number seven on my list at number six it is the Sun Bowl sunbowl it's iconic yes the sunbowl this is just based off of its location I mean the stadium itself you know the seating of it reminds me of a dumb down version of Lane Stadium probably too many seats for sure for UTEP but it's just the location they're probably not going to change it it would cost too much money you can take a look at some photos of it there's a reason it's called the sunbowl it does receive a lot of sun and it is built kind of into the crevice of a hillside which is really unique and really cool in terms of that it comes in at number six on my list at number five Falcon Stadium it is Falcon Stadium home of Air Force so Air Force right now they've got a great home field this Stadium located in the middle of nowhere in Colorado great location I love that and they're also getting a huge renovation to this Stadium where they're putting in brand new seats and a new exterior design and Air Force football right now they're on the come up they're trying to make the college football playoff it is possible if you look at the analytics Air Force very likely to make the playoff this year and they are just a super impressive team and they've got a great Stadium although I will say there's not much to it it's group of five what are you going to do when they get their renovation they're only going to get better in terms of you know their attractiveness to recruits with this brand new renovation onto their stadium and the location of it is really nice and also the stadium gets very loud so I'm going to put it at numers five on my list at number four it is Albertson's stadium so a lot of people are hate this Stadium because of the field and it is kind of like ugly to look at it it gives you a headache if you watch a Boise State game for too long it's just a dark it's what is that blue color like ocean blue is that like deep ocean blue it's like I mean it's a tough color to look at but the stadium itself is really nice it's very unique it has very interesting seating designs especially for group of five and then on top of that it has two really nice like or I think that's three uh different kind of areas of sweets or decks of Suites which is also very rare for a group of five stadium so this is really built up and you would think that Boise State based off of this solid stadium with really good fans a great environment you would think they would be attractive in terms of you know joining a power five conference unfortunately their TV Market is so low it killed them from having a chance to join a power five conference either way this is a really nice stadium and once they get their Stadium renovation this this might be the best group of five stadium in college football it's really impressive already but they do need to close it off and they're going to be fully closing the stadium when they get the renovation in 2025 moving on to number three it is Gerald Ford Stadium home of SMU so SMU joining the ACC they're getting a huge Stadium renovation and they're closing it off because the one side of their end zone it's just grass right now which is a really ugly look I mean that's just a typical group of five team it is what it is but they're getting a nice Endzone renovation like most college teams do with a scoreboard attached to the top of it and it's really going to close off the stadium and make it nice overall the stadium is very simplistic but the unique Factor about this Stadium it does have a very nice exterior believe it or not really nice brick design and when they close off the stadium completely it will be a very solid not group of five Stadium but it will be a very solid power what was it power for stadium yeah Power for stadium when they join the ACC there so that comes in at number three Army at number two it is Mitchie Stadium home of Army and this is another one beautiful location I mean I guess technically yeah I would consider Army a group of five because I I think Army is actually joining the American here any probably like within the next few weeks and they've just got a great contrast based on their location you've got the water on one side and by the way once they get their big Stadium renovation that they've already announced and it looks beautiful with the helicopters you know the entire exterior being renovated right next to the water this is going to be a great Stadium but you have the contrast of the water and then the beautiful autumn colors you know during October November it's just it's a great environment it it's so unique when it comes to college football stadiums based on its location and that's why it's at number two and when they do get the renovation you know with the helicopters with all the new seating they're getting a new luxury seating things like that it will only get better so it comes in at number two and then at number one I do have to go with Snap SDSU Dragon stadium which is brand new really big capacity this could very easily pass as like a solid mid tier power five stadium also it's hosting an MLS team so it's just a really good well put together Stadium by San Diego State and this is part of the reason San Diego State is valuable when it comes to conference expansion Snapdragon stadium is really nice you can see it's a multi-deck approach they do have those little little spikes you know you want to call that unique I guess it is kind of unique I'm not a big fan of the spikes personally but I do think the stadium is well put together it does kind of come off more like an MLs type Stadium the only thing it's missing is the giant overhangs that they always put on to him uh but no it's still very solid I think right now based on the design of it comparing to all the other group of five stadiums I would have to have it lead at number one and some of that is because it's brand new you know possibly in a few years it'll lose its charm but it's still really solid and it's got a pretty high capacity so it comes in at number one although another thing I'll say it is kind of strange that they didn't have any type of overhang or awning when it comes to protection from the Sun s San Diego State played week zero and they had a horrible attendance and some of their fans were like well it's the sun I mean that's not a good sign you just built this brand new stadium and you're already complaining about the Sun as a reason for not selling out your F you know your first game it's just I don't know kind of weird there but I guess to play Devil's Advocate San Diego really doesn't get that hot anyways either way right now that would be the number one group of five stadium for me but guys that is going to do it for this video make sure you're following me on X link to
