hey Cowboys Nation welcome back to our Channel today we've got some exciting news that combines the world of fashion and football but before we dive in make sure to subscribe and leave a like if you enjoy our content now let's get into it first up let's meet the man behind the sharp suits worn by our very own Dak Prescott and other top athletes Tom merelli Tom isn't just any Taylor he's the custom menswar designer who got 17 Allstar red carpet ready at this year's All-Star Game in Arlington imagine this the biggest stars in sports all wearing his designs like actors in a Blockbuster movie Tom merelli who hails from Hoboken New Jersey has been revolutionizing the suit game for a decade but before he became a household name in fashion he was a hedge fund accountant crunching numbers and making portfolio managers wealthy his transition to Fashion began as a hobby critiquing male athletes and actors red carpet outfits on a Tumblr page this hobby quickly turned into a passion leading to the creation of his Twitter and Instagram account gentleman's playbook in 2016 Tom took the leap and started designing full-time it wasn't long before his business bounded thanks in part to a life-changing encounter with Dak Prescott at the 2017 NFL honors in Houston Dak admired Tom's suit asked for his number and the rest as they say is history today Tom's clientele includes over 450 professional athletes including Cowboys players Ezekiel Elliot and Demarcus Lawrence his suits which cost between $3,000 and $5,000 have become a staple in the locker rooms and red carpets alike shifting gears to team news there's been a lot of Buzz around contracts wide receivers CD Lamb's contract negotiations are currently taking priority over Dak Prescott's lamb hasn't reported to the Stars since last season ended and isn't expected at the upcoming training camp in Oxnard California without an extension on the other hand Dak Prescott is expected to participate in the first practice this Thursday Executive Vice President Steven Jones mentioned that securing big contracts for lamb Prescott and Edge rusher Micah Parsons is a challenge but the Cowboys are committed to making it happen this isn't new territory for the Cowboys as they've navigated similar situations with Ezekiel Elliot and Zach Martin in the past as training camp approaches the Cowboys are also keeping an eye on potential free agents to bolster their roster with the departure of Tyran Smith to the New York Jets the team is looking at options to replace their longtime Blindside protector rookie Tyler Smith drafted in the first round might not be ready to step in immediately a potential candidate to keep on standby is David bakari who despite recent injuries remains one of the better Blindside protectors in the league on the defensive side the Cowboys are expecting big improvements from last year's first round pick matsi Smith however they could still use more depth at defensive tackle free agent Mike purcel a veteran space eater could be a solid addition to the rotation lastly cornerback Trayvon Dig's return from a season ending knee injury will be crucial while the top three corner cornerbacks look strong adding more experience depth like resigning veteran Stefon Gilmore could provide insurance and bolster the secondary so Cowboys fans what do you think about Tom merelli's impact on our athletes off field style and how do you feel about the current contract negotiations and potential free agent signings leave your thoughts in the comments below remember to like And subscribe for more updates until next time stay tuned and go Cowboys
