AARON GLENN'S DEFENSE SHOWING HUGE IMPROVEMENT - WILL IT LAST?

[Music] [Applause] [Music] yeah yeah yeah [Music] all right hey welcome into off the cuff podcast tonight hopefully everything is is working out swimmingly let's take a look make sure we're in it to win it looks like we are looks like we're live give me just a second here to double check I'm going to have to go through this a few times just to make sure sure we are good to go anyway while I'm doing this if it is live how's everybody doing tonight we are going to get into the Detroit Lions defense and kind of some news and notes and rumors that everything that's kind of been flying around the last couple of weeks especially the last 48 hours uh there's been some talk about bets which I find funny that people that trash bets before want to give him some flowers today let's uh let's take a look here all right looks like we're good so anyway welcome into rock on Detroit Lions off the C podcast apologize about the small delays here getting started but as you guys are are well aware of using a new system so until I get fully comfortable with it and know that everything is is working the way that it should be uh it's just going to take me a few moments to get rolling let me pull up the the chat make sure we have that going today and we'll get going about 10 more clicks and it should be good all right here we go all right looks like we got Tracy in the house Eric raki who's in Vegas man enjoy vacation homie 108 de is nice and dry out there I bet not this crazy humidity in Michigan glad to see you got some hours in at the pool already hope it's fun Mike P's in the house we got Rick briland Dennis AG better make this defense work no excuses I think we can put you know the I don't know if it's anger or resentment or frustration but I think it's time you know we're we're at this Crossroad right with the Detroit Lions we're headed into a new season and and I I think that we need to kind of put compartmentalize put you know some things in a box and just kind of put it on a shelf for a while right turn over a new Leaf if you will turn another cheek I I I don't know what whatever analogy you want to use but I think that we're kind of at that point now where let's focus on what's happening today and where are we moving to tomorrow we can't fix anything that happened in the past right we can't fix what happened against Francisco we can't fix the last 30 minutes of a game but what we do know is that this team is new it's revamped it's energized the defense has a new mindset it's already showing up in practice and we have some new players uh we also have some injuries that we're dealing with we have some players that are still coming back from injury like Emanuel Mosley but the cast of newbies and even some of the guys that have been been brought back right uh I I think that they're really showing us why they are a Detroit Lion today maybe they didn't play as well as they should have last year or maybe they didn't even crack the the 53 man roster or the uh what is it 48 for game day uh but you know what it's a new Lea for them this year it's a new season and they're ready to put their best foot forward and so that's kind of how I look at it right I mean that's it's a new season I just started a new season season with the podcast in June uh I'll probably start it a little earlier next year but I figured you know what June 1st is is the cut off day for me it's time for me to look forward I can't dwell on the past we'll talk about it you know we'll always talk about it there always be things to talk about but I think for me right now uh my decision my opinion and what I'm going to do is is I'm just going to put it all forward um what's up with the mic brillan what sounds weird is anybody else getting a weird uh weird mic sound I know that there's uh there's different settings now with this this desktop version this OBS version uh what's happening jrod looks like you got a new name too we got a lot of people with new names but they're the same old people you guys must lose your account information or something or what uh but anyway as far as the the mic goes like I I've got I mean you you tell me does it sound different when I do this what does it sound like now I just I just turned it down does it sound different because I've got to do all these little Minor Adjustments everywhere so anyway uh BP that's a new name uh just practice we have to wait until the pads come on of course absolutely uh there are are also players uh they're also players starters that are not able to play yet of course absolutely um but anyway yeah we we talk about everything here BP I don't know who you are but uh we talk about everything whether it's uh what happened in practice or what happened in practice with pads or practice in pajamas or what happened in the meeting room what happened in the locker room uh what happened on their drive home and matter of fact that is the topic of tonight we're going to be talking about tyon Arnold to start and literally him in a vehicle driving talking because this was probably some of the most impactful rookie speech that I've ever heard like there is more to tyon than than than we will ever understand more and more keeps coming out about this guy when I say that he is a grown man uh you know amongst men already his mental is there he may not be there totally on the field yet right he's really literally not there on the field right now he's he's nursing some things but his mental is there he he is Far and Away above what I expected him to be at this early in at this stage in his career mentally now it's a small glimpse right I mean I I Know Jack Squad about tyon right now he's still very new to the team but when I catch things like this and I find videos like this it puts him into a different light and I'm going to share it with you guys tonight I I really think uh I really think that it's it's interesting absolutely interesting uh slot machine and podcasting what's that hope you're enjoying be safe young uh my mic sounds like a speaker phone maybe you have me on speaker I don't I don't know brilin um I I don't know I I turned it back to where it was I don't know what else to do with it I mean it's it is what it is but I guess the only other thing I can do is probably turn the gain down a little bit and it does sound different in my ears now that you guys say something it does sound a little bit different so we we'll play with it uh there's really not a whole lot I can do with it right at this moment because uh I'm doing this and it would take me having to do some testing on the back end to kind of figure out what what the deal is I mean I'm I'm just in a desktop version so if it's changed the audio then I'll have to figure that out but anyway here's what I want to do I want to bring in Terry and Arnold and I want to watch this video uh with you guys and get your take now hopefully it's loud enough if you guys need me to re to rewind it a little bit so that we can uh you know fully grasp what he's saying uh then then I will do that uh let's just get through it and see what you guys have to say about it so here we go uh all right I'm the little guy up in the corner now this video is uh tyon Arnold's um video obviously I make no claims or rights to this this video I'll be in a media company uh obviously I'm doing this for educational purposes uh make sure we get all the disclaimers out there this is for education of the public and we're going to educate ourselves about terryon Arnold so let's do it uh low volume now um all right let's turn that back up just a few levels and we should be back to where we were all right so if you guys are ready let's do it actually let me adjust this real quick all right here we go I'm just going to leave it the way it was [Music] start at 10:30 it's 9:23 right now we going to get there at 930 like for the com whatever position you in I was always taught don't take advantage of people time and take advantage of your opportunity like with that being said get there hour early people want to get minutes early say oh I'm early no man get there hour early you know got to get my breakfast got some time to get in that mindset meditate lock in for real before you really go out there and you know you have to perform what you should always do so I'm GNA pause it there for just a moment I hope I don't get hit on his music I have no idea what he's playing but anyway what he said there if you guys could hear it in the beginning uh he was talking about early and I mentioned this the other day you know he he's all about taking advantage of the opportunities and not messing with somebody else's time don't waste somebody's time right uh don't be a hindrance to them don't be a bother to them you know if you're going to be early five minutes is not early he's talking about I think going to the combine and and being there an hour early so he can lock in so he's got to get his breakfast he's got to get his mind right you know stretch whatever ever he has to do but he's going to get all of his stuff out of the way first and then he's still going to be an hour early and and I just listening to him and and how he prepares and what he's thinking and how he's actually thinking about other people before he's even thinking about himself this is the making of a true Pro like somebody that gets it at a deeper level than just playing football anybody can go out and just play football football but to take it the next few levels of how can I be a better teammate how can I be a better Pro how can I be a better person you know on and off the field this guy gets it and and it just makes me all that much more excited to see how his career develops so we'll keep rolling here life period one thing about me like I know like most of yall watching like take I don't know why it's distorting hold on a second here this was a funny one he was talking about going on a DAT let me uh let me turn down the volume on YouTube and turn it up here one thing about me like I know like most of yall something's not right you guys might be on to something here be ready at 8 o00 you show up something's funny like this girl and you ready to take on a date you tell her be ready at 8:00 she going to be ready at 8:00 you show up at 8:10 Bo you Ain going on that date unless she really like you unless she really like than that like don't play with people time man you got to love it what I say mama still working a double it'll be selfish if I don't give it my all real talk get this breakfast man that boy that boy so I don't know if you caught it there but he said uh you know my mom is working a double I'd be selfish if I don't give it my all thinking about his mom and and and all of the sacrifices that she made for him you know being in in a single parent household uh from what I've read I I don't again I don't know the full story so you know don't quote me here but his father wasn't around in his life at least very often that's why his grandfather was such a a very big impact into his life and this uh it's an incredible mindset I mean to King sj's point he has a great mindset no doubt uh of course we want to see all of the onfield tools you know come together right and and everything kind of work itself out but I will tell you that he's winning the battle and half the battle is I I've said this you guys have heard me say this at this stage in life in in your career in the NFL it is not so much about the physical right it's it's now 90% mental 10% physical everybody at this level is Elite physically you wouldn't be here if you weren't the difference the separator is the mental if you can be on a different level than everybody else and how you prepare and how you think and how you study uh and what you do day in and day out that that's all mental right uh the physical stuff is going to be there you're still going to run you're still going to work out you're still going to eat right you're still going to do this you're still going to do that but if you're mental is not there and you're playing Xbox for four hours a day instead of studying The Playbook well your mental screwed you up didn't it because now you're not ready for the game and now you're getting torched in week one instead you take care of business first and and that's what we're seeing right now at aarion is he's taking care of business first that's that man right there man that that's you got this falling might just be stuck with the waffle oh yes let's go let see little protein power plate this just kind of cracked me up because here this kid's about to be a millionaire multi-millionaire in a few weeks and he's he's scrambling through a a dorm style refrigerator trying to find something and he thought he was going to eat waffles which is probably the absolute worst thing an athlete could eat yeah I'll get some carbs from it but there's no substance to it at all and he found this this protein uh microwave deal whatever it is uh I it's just hilarious to me because his life is about to change he's not going to be worrying about this type of stuff no more like things are going to be ready for him and uh it's just it's just part of the journey right and all the things that he's going to look back on I just I had to I had to talk about that one see King SJ those numbers don't Jive buddy your math ain't mathing workout don't start till 10:30 that boy here hour early DJ in the cut here an hour early with his feet up how you supposed to do it my boy ER going to play in the leag for a long time it good I wonder why every day he look like a new out there practice fall C it give you like yeah it give you like extra dose of energy shout out that boy Jess man boy really really know what he doing as far as recovery and taking care of his body Jess Han 22 running back BMA ugly little kid strong face strong chin If he if he was looking at me right now hearing it like Jess don't even know how to crack he' just be like telling I feel like I the master communicating with people without knowing their names like I don't really be knowing half the people names but I be talking to it's kind of like excuse me it's kind of like you know when you a kid you with your parents well with me I with my mom she be like terion you remember her yeah how you doing N I ain't never seen that lady before in my life you know how the people uh oh what happened I don't know what happened the the video kind of crapped out on me for some reason I don't know what happened well anyway uh you guys can catch it on Tyrion Arnold's Channel on YouTube okay it's uh it's just his channel he he labeled it tyon Arnold ain't nobody like me episode one so it'll be interesting to see what he does with his YouTube channel uh but I wanted to kind of go over just the beginning of this video and anyway and kind of get you guys into the mindset of terryon Arnold and where he is as a young player and uh which screen froze the ones mine or or the video because the video froze for me I don't know what happened I can't even get it off oh I got it back now it for some reason it just froze hold on a sec here we go I'll bring it back all right so we'll we'll continue on for just a little bit I'm gonna fast forward Frank take pictures on [Music] Instagram told him I might just do that pro day so miss Terry hit me up CU say she was like you know I never been a pro day before but I'm a c of yours so you know my head I'm like put on the shoulder and I got you I might just go out there and run a 40 again at FR I had told Nicole that she was like teron if you decide to go out there and run that 40 again at FR I'm going come and grab you before you even think about running the 40 that boy B good boy better to see a whole different person boy oh me you know I'm at that spring game yeah you know I'm I just want the car I'm at that Spring G up to the fers so obviously this is prior to this is prior to combine so they're working on their sets and how to get into their 40 stance and you know doing all the training beforehand to get ready hey he like he like 26 he like 26 27 and fo that we had it's after a good warm up it's like this every day man they say sacrifice for the next six weeks change your life really started last year got to show you that old footage that we had this time last year oh my God one good you can change your life one good year can change your life man that's great advice it's actually something that always told my kids you know they were always worried about you know making it to college ball and whatever they were struggling through you know through their younger years whether they're freshman or sophomores and I said all you need is your senior season you know Jade busted up as Achilles and I told him all you need is your senior season that's it just need one season to make it and then in college you're going to need a culmination of things uh but you just need one season to make it so to hear from terion I'm glad that I was giving my kids good advice I know like here ter go man all just as side though besides football all that I really realize we just playing football I mean you can really change the world and different things and use your platform to help people but at the end of the day we ain't no school teacher we ain't saving no lives I think the real people should be praised but I was always taught that from a young age so I use my platform look look when I tell you bro like we a real Brotherhood here man like you really got to love what you do man and if you with people who like you they say great minds think like they really get the best out of each other I told them when I first got here we A brotherhood man we all trying to to accomplish one thing get drafted to the NFL provide for our families and I'm going push y'all to do that so yall going even sh it out here I told them I said at the same time y'all push me to do that my boy my boy ER he said man you like the leader of the group man I just I don't even look at it like that I just look at it like I take on the responsibility as far as if you doing something wrong and I know it's right I ain't going to let you continue to do that wrong thing I'm going correct you and I hope that you would do the same thing me that's what a brother does that's what's wrong with the world man too many people call each other brother sister family this but they let you do something that'll mess up your life I'll never let that happen my little brother know to this day all my homeboy know if you doing something wrong boy I'mma tell you if you continue to do that hey I tried to tell you so I know it's there's really no comparison with you know podcasting and that but you know people get off on uh negativity way too often and and I feel like you know you can get on a platform and you can steer things into a direction when you get enough people to listen and there's there's two ways to go about it right you can be negative about everything or you can be positive about everything and still have a critical view about things and to to his point you know doing the wrong thing in life and nobody correcting you your your best friend you may not like that individual your mom your dad you you may not like that individual all the time and you shouldn't because if they're doing the right thing by you and correcting you and doing something that you're doing that is screwing up your life or the potential to screw up your life you would hope that that individual would correct you right and uh and Lead You Down a different path now I know there's a lot of older people uh you know in this audience here you know a lot of us have been through life have been through our own issues in life some of us maybe didn't have that individual that was willing to push us and and to hear this again coming from teron who's very young uh he's getting it man and and this just sets the stage for him to come in and be a natural born leader but he's also willing to listen he's willing to accept the criticism which is going to be extremely uh important for him during his young you know couple of Seasons here in the NFL so I'll let you guys watch the rest of it I'm not going to bore you guys with the rest of it let me transition back over all right so uh Lions defense man uh we got an absolute stud in Terry and Arnold uh sky's the limit for him but like I said this game and King SJ I finally got what you were saying about the 8040 I I I didn't remember that right off the GetGo but uh yeah what what an impactful little movie that was back in the day uh I've been watching Friday Night Lights uh for for the last I don't know few weeks with all my travels I've been watching the episodes and there's a lot of great life lessons in it uh it's a great show if you guys haven't watched it it's been out on Netflix for a little bit now um this is uh an interesting offseason for the Lions I really believe that they've elevated their team in in a multiplex uh different you know ways here like there's there's an element to this where we got better as a team you know with the level of talent but I also feel like we got better with a level of mindset and Aiden Hutchinson has spoken to it uh you can clearly see it with Teran Arnold he's got a great mindset running into this you know in year one already and to see these guys you know end up meshing together and and building a team together uh all of these different mindsets are going to kind of rub off on each other everyone's going to kind of pick something up from each other and we're already seeing it in in mandatory mini camp we've seen it in OTAs we spoke about it this morning on the rise and grind morning show how you know Jared G's getting picked off and henden hooker's getting picked off the guys are getting in the right position they're baiting guys yeah they it's just pajama practice and I said that this morning it's just pajama we don't have pads on things are going to change when pads are on but the point is is they're already in the right spot so by having pads on is not going to correct you from being in the right position having pads on the only thing that's different there is whether or not you're going to hit somebody and make the tackle and make the play or not I think that's really about it it's going to bring out a different animal in these guys when they have their pads on but positionally being in the right place at the right time is half the battle the mental aspect of this is what they're building on when they don't have the pads on putting themselves in position to make a play Jack Campbell is already showing that he's elevated his mindset right and in in understanding the techniques and uh you know the different situations that he's going to be placed in whether it's Mike linebacker or Sam linebacker primarily Mike I believe this year and he's already doing it at a high level tyon Arnold hasn't had a ton of time in practice you know like I said he's he's been out but the other guys are showing up you know whether it's dorsy or um you know amek Robertson Carlton Davis I think's been out for a little bit but these guys Brandon Joseph I mean these guys are stepping up to the plate in absence of the guys that are supposed to be starting the guys below them are getting a ton of work and that's a benefit to this team come training camp the younger guys and the guys that were second and third tier they're going to be a little bit above and beyond you know some of these starters some of these veterans now the veterans already know a lot of what's going on here they already know the Playbook they already know what they have to do do you know especially if they've been with the team for a couple of Seasons now but is practice you know leads to game type mentality they're kind of getting an edge in before training camp by getting all of this experience so it's it's interesting um to watch it all unfold and you know we're just barely cracking chapter one right now of 2024 and uh I think that we're in store for a really good really good story this year um all right let's keep motoring here we got a few topics uh a few things that uh I prepared today not a whole lot it won't be an extremely long show tonight you'll notice that some of these shows throughout the rest of the summer until we really hit training camp are going to be a little bit short uh I did promise you guys I was going to get to Lions Legends it's just been a crazy week so uh I'll start it next week when I can start fresh and and we'll start with Barry Sanders on Monday um and then I'm I'm going to put up a new schedule for the rest of the summer I've got too many too many household duties to take care of uh I've got a massive Landscaping project that you guys know I started that still going and it's going to continue to probably go all summer long quite honestly so here's a good problem to have um in Joseph Ting I'm going to get to that point here in just a moment he's talking about Levi was arque being healthy and showing out and uh maybe he is ready maybe he'll finally have his turn if you will uh at at making an impact on this team and this is the season that he needs to you know he's he's coming up on his final years as a Detroit Lion without having any sort of an extension in his future uh but here's a good problem to have the Detroit Lions uh coaching staff have no idea who's going to start in the secondary uh this article by Aaron Becker highlighted the fact that the Lions had one of the worst secondaries in the NFL last season I don't think that's any secret allowed the sixth most passing yards per game 247.ai for Carlton Davis signing cornerback and meek Robertson and Emanuel Mosley back from free agency and then selecting quarterback Tyrion Arnold and Andis rraw however this uh what's his name again Aaron Becker goes on to say that the numerous additions have left the team with the difficult decision of choosing who will start in the coming months it's a little early uh I I don't think that we're going to figure out who's going to start probably until preseason uh you know I think that we'll know by week one of preseason who our starters are and usually that's by who's a healthy scratch not going to play you know a lot of those guys you know have already been kind of tagged as the starter so that's usually pretty easy to figure out uh but anyway choosing who to start will come uh over the next few months head coach Dan Campbell still has no idea who that will be and he had this to say he said the talent level the competitiveness the versatility honestly we have no idea who our starting lineup is going to be right now and it's exciting uh there's no telling who's going uh who's going to be our outside corners who's going to be our nickel who's going to be our safeties this thing is wide openen across the board you know the funny thing is he mentioned nickel and and that's Brian Branch right well Brian branch has been out he hasn't been playing and amek Robertson has been filling in I expected amek Robertson was going to be you know the Nickels slot Corner when he was brought into the this team I know a lot of other people felt that he was going to be an outside guy uh but that's just not the body of work that amek Robertson has put together so far in his career so it made sense that he was going to start on the inside and now with Brian Branch out obviously Meek Robertson is getting you know some extra work here so it's just interesting that Campbell said nickel because you would think that that was an immediate Brian branch no matter what Brian Branch but there's something that I touch on probably before everybody else you know really caught wind to it is that I said that I felt like Brian Branch was going to have an opportunity to go back and play safety and I might have put one of the First videos out about that but it's no secret to me that Brian branch is going to be as good of a safety as he would be a Nickelback and or a nickel safety whatever you want to call him I'm more inclined to want to see Brian branch take a shot back there at safety and allow amek Robertson to be the nickel I mean obviously whoever's better you know they're going to win the job I couldn't tell you if amek Robertson is better than Brian Branch I haven't seen the two play next to each other and we won't until training camp assuming that everybody's healthy but isn't this just an an incredible problem to have and this is exactly why it was so important again for the 500 time to address our secondary this year we want this problem you want 53 man cuts to be so difficult that you have to cut really good guys and it's sad because you know there's going to be some guys that don't make the team this year that we probably expected uh I haven't even started to consider you know who's on on the edge you know who's on the outside looking in uh I will tell you that I'm I'm pretty firm on the fact that there's going to be a couple of positions that we might be heavy in this year again last year we were heavy on defensive line light on offensive line that could be flip-flop this year and if it is we're going to lose some good guys um anyway he goes on to say here that Carlton Davis Davis excuse me is likely the early favorite to be the lion starting outside corner or one of uh chef and I spoke about this the other day that there may not be a true CB1 CB2 from a positional perspective right right or left corner may not really matter again early in the off season I thought that you know if the Lions address the secondary and then after the draft I felt like hey this is shaping up to be a traveling secondary a secondary that you know you've got your assignment it doesn't matter where that player is on the field you know lining up in the offense you follow him you stick to them that's your job I would love to see that happen the only wrench that could get thrown in here is that Carlton Davis has been primarily a left-sided corner he plays better on the left side uh he's said as much in a couple of interviews that he loves the left side more so than the right side so that could be the only wrench where maybe they don't travel as often uh especially if you know his assignment is moving to the right side they may just trade off if teams pick up on that though they might you know they might go at tyon if teran's the other the other starter on the outside then again they may find out quickly that was a bad idea so we we'll see what happens but we're in a very good position right now uh let me get you a couple of your chat messages here uh edw says I can see early in the season opposing teams testing the lions run defense I hope do uh I think that we're going to be just fine Tracy says we will have depth at the position though which is which is great to have um Roger cha says as Brad said it's turning out to be a bloodbath in the secondary th% agree Roger chap has followed that up by saying the BB uh and BB is out only on a cleanup procedure that is very true thank you for making that point and Joseph oston says will team's going to be all over our Cuts times have changed you know let me ask you guys this and that's a I'm Jo I'm so glad you brought that up I you always think that it's easy to get rid of a guy right make a trade and I guess I'm I'm questioning myself now in years past I always felt like you know you were going to cut that guy why didn't you try to trade him like what were you thinking even getting a seventh round pick for a guy you were going to cut why not but then you know you start to think now well if if we're going to have to cut these guys and and a lot of teams are probably evaluating our roster and saying hey look there's an opportunity one of these guys is going to get cut and if they do we're going to go in and try to make a play for them so that's probably why we don't see a ton of Trades coming off of training camp there's just not a lot to go around you know 53 man cuts happen and it's wide open you've got everybody available there's there's a lot of opportunity for some really good players and I think that to Joseph's point we're going to have quite a few players this year uh that are cut that we wish we could you know have stick around at least on the practice squad but as we know the practice squad they're not safe you I think you can only kind of Harbor or protect four guys if you will and uh that's just not enough I would hope that at some point the NFL would understand that there's a lot of money time energy resources that go into building your team finding your talent developing your talent why are you letting other teams poach from other teams I it's G to happen eventually but why not you know let these teams keep their guys at least for a year you know if these are rookies that are coming in or even second-year players I think that they should just be automatically protected if the team Cuts them they cut them but if they make it back to the practice squad I feel like that player should be somewhat protected uh if that player you know maybe has three years of service in the NFL maybe then they shouldn't be protected and and maybe you know I'm cutting my own throat by saying that because I'm sure there's some players that you know we would love to have on this this practice squad that meet that eligibility Factor but for me I think that it would only make sense the NFL would want to protect these teams a little bit to help them stay you know more competitive I mean it's great when when all the teams are competitive right when you have just a few teams that are competitive every season I I can't imagine that the numbers you know haven't been as good as they have been the last year and a half with the Lions I mean I've said it time and time again the Lions have been great for NFL business and and that's why they're getting you know the slots of Prime Time games that they are so uh Roger cha says will what options do we have to protect any of our new there you go you were getting right into it what options do we have to protect them uh not much so I think that the rule is four I think you can protect four guys on the practice squad and that's about it uh don't quote me but uh I think that's what you're limited to uh the practice squad guys are pretty much wide open now there is some rules throughout the season uh about having to elevate players uh from you know the practice squad right to the 53 man roster so that adds a little bit of a layer of protection whereas you would have to make room on your roster right away to bring that player in and sometimes rosters just don't have room you can't make a lateral move from practice squad to practice squad so that does you know offer at least a little bit of protection uh Donovan Amos where you been my man nice to see you back in been a long time uh jrod says I believe the protection count has to go up I do too Joseph tin also says maybe Manu gets an injury quote unquote injury and then we can protect him Manu is making the roster hands down he's making the roster I guarantee all right so going on with this article here uh they they talk about Arnold being the best option to play across from Carlton Davis and after registering 108 tackles one sack one force fumble interceptions and 20 passes defensed the past two years at Alabama clearly makes sense why the Lions selected tyon Arnold uh still Dan Campbell is not uh making any decisions right now at nor can he uh at this time it's too early and is extremely excited uh you know to let his new look secondary battle it out all summer long uh where he had this to say it's a great place to be in we have so many options right now so much competitiveness it's going to be great to let these guys compete and go after it and see who goes who's going to be the most reliable guys for us who's going to be the most Dependable it's exciting said Dan Campbell I mean what a way to kick off summer right I mean just massive competition uh it's it's going to be uh fireworks all summer long I I have a feeling it we're going to be busy going to be very busy so a couple of things to look forward to and a couple of notes that I made uh throughout OTAs and and you know listening and reading and and watching some things the Detroit Lions defense clearly has been the dominant Factor probably throughout all of the offseason practices so far now the offense has had their days bad days and good days we are missing quite a few players uh feel like there's more players missing on the offensive side of the ball right now than there is on the defensive side of the ball you know not having jir Gibbs in uh that's a big one obviously we want to have him in uh but I believe that the defense has been dominating more often than not you know since OTAs and in mini camp due to several factors several key factors number one we have an enhanced pass rush believe it or not we have an enhanced pass rush and Marcus Davenport really hasn't even hit the field yet he hasn't done a whole lot so the fact that the lions are doing what they're doing without him speaks volumes to all of the other players that we brought in uh this offseason mat bets being one of them now I put out probably the very first video on mat bets where I broke down all of his work uh all of his tape and made some really good comments you know and Analysis of who he was as a player in the CFL later on we had you know Paul oretti on who spoke to matw bets basically said don't sleep on this guy this guy has the ability to be successful in the NFL yeah he had a short stint in Chicago didn't make you know the roster that was Chicago's fault they screwed up but maybe mat bats wasn't ready uh and thankfully you know he did what he did over the last couple of Seasons uh winning what is that award that they give their guys um most outstanding defensive player award or something like that it's something it's something different it's not like you know Defensive Player of the Year award it's it's some most outstanding player or something like that but anyway you know this enhanced pass rush mat bats has shown that he has speed he's shown that even though he didn't do a whole lot in coverage that they've been giving him a lot of coverage assignments and he's kind of been holding his own but the fact that he's been able to step right in right away and get to work and has has shined in some of these practices it's kind of putting the hot seat to a couple of guys I don't necessarily feel like James Houston is going to have a hot seat I I think that he has some work to do to get back and get back to his old form but I I don't necessarily feel like those two are in direct competition with each other right now I don't think that Josh Pascal's part of that competition you know Josh is more of a a defensive tackle but when you talk about John Kaminsky um mat bets Marcus Davenport those are the three guys that I really see you know becoming that right-sided pass rusher uh James Houston is more of an outside linebacker I know that mat bets is kind of getting that outside linebacker look right now in practice these hybrid roles are confusing you know they they really are a little bit confusing because they're kind of doing both things within a multiple scheme front and they look like they're the same position as a pass rusher when they're really not so it's it's fun to watch and and I really believe that this enhanced pass rush the addition of Marcus Davenport will come to fruition here in in a few weeks uh but the other key defensive lineman that have significantly improved this offseason Levi un wasque to Joseph ost's um earlier I think it was Joseph OST that said it uh earlier was talking about Levi and look Levi is is really stepped into it this year he's really turning heads this is his make or break season uh you know coming off of a bad back injury and rehabbing you know the last couple of Seasons he just hasn't been himself so an enhanced pass rush is needed and it's going to come from all of these guys Levi on wasar DJ reader who has yet to suit up and and uh you know Al mcneel Aiden Hutch I mean they all have to contribute but when you look at the depth of this roster and the guys at the Lions you know have brought in even Mitchell lag goody has has shown to uh been playing at a high level he's gotten some praise even from Aiden Hutchinson uh as recently as a couple weeks ago me take a look at this depth chart real quick so when you look at the Lions depth chart on ESPN you've got Aiden son Mitchell ay and me Betts on the left side I think they're going to be interchangeable to be honest with you and on the right side Marcus Davenport Kaminsky Josh Pascal who's kind of in that that hybrid role uh and then you've got mikai Wingo so even though mikai Wingo is a defensive tackle he is somebody that can get interior pass rush pressure so again even if you slide Wingo next to DJ reer in place of Kaminsky in place of in two bets you might be able to see that depth of this roster really work to our fa to our favor where you've got bigger body guys capable guys in there creating more pressure from the interior and this enhanced pass rush is going to be multi-fold right before you had Aiden Hutchinson out on an island all by himself Hutchinson's Island that was him if he was not getting the sack if he was not getting the pressure who was hardly anybody Le mcneel was probably the the next best guy getting pressure creating pressure getting sacks really nobody on the right side was doing a whole lot and that included the defensive tackle we didn't have a whole lot coming from Bugs whenever he was there but there were there was some games where you could see the stats Elevate with bugs in the game but as the season kind of progressed and bugs was not involved in the game plan I think it you know things kind of still stayed the same right I mean the stats were what they were so you had Aiden Hutchinson on an island and that was about it for the pressure now imagine when you've got DJ re or Alim mcneel running through the middle of this offense or the middle of our defense through opposing offense and you're able to get a center push well immediately that stops any run coming through the middle but two what does it do to the quarterback what does the quarterback have to do when you now have an inverse you know con cave nose coming at you it's not a w anymore closing in right now it's coming like a shovel that shovel that Spade whatever you want to call it is coming right at you well now it's it's an inverse W right the W is not closing the W's kind of going this way it's kind of hard to project here on the screen but I think you get what I'm saying that quarterback has to now go right or left they don't have an option they can't go forward they can't run forward so they have to go right or left well if you run to the other side there's Aiden Hinson good luck he's quick enough he'll catch you on the outside and if he's not going to catch you on the outside Brian Branch will be there to clean it up Tyrion Arnold could be there or Carlton Davis actually be on the left side to clean it up somebody will be there to clean it up but on the right side now we have somebody like Metts who has speed we have somebody like Alex anzalone who has decent speed there's plenty of guys now that can make the play but the point is now you're crashing from the interior forcing the guys to go outside where you're crashing in and down so you're you're collapsing the pocket from the interior as opposed to the outside that's why I kept making the analogy very early off in very early in the off season that we needed an interior pass rush we needed defensive tackles and then we needed Corners that we're going to be able to hold you know their assignment allow that quarterback to hold the ball just a little bit longer and I don't mean hold the ball so that they they can find an open receiver no it's hold the ball so that your defensive end can now crash in and make the play or your interior Defender can get in and get the sack through the middle right or Force the quarterback into a bad situation make a bad decision a bad throw throw it away whatever I'll accept all three so it's an enhanced pass rush that I think that we're going to see immediately show up on tape week one and it's going to change the way I think a lot of lions fans view Edge rushers being the only way to get pressure and get sacks I feel like my microphone just changed volume again I don't have Eric here to say the the swear word the GW we're not going to say it so uh let's see here nine drink says I don't think that we are allowed to protect anyone uh on the practice squad now that's a CO thing I hope I'm wrong yeah no I think there's there's always four guys you can protect you can't protect them all um um Harris and the acarus did little there you go there's a couple of the names that we won't forget right um Lions have have way Amplified their roster uh way way Amplified King SJ excited to see what bets can do I am too man uh especially when I've heard it from the college football coaches we had them on the podcast we've heard it from um you know multiple people that have been on the podcast uh it's time will tell you know we we need time right now and that's that's training camp when the pads come on we'll see who the real bets is uh so my second note obviously there he is you can't say that word man it's a swear word I'm gonna ban it from YouTube um the second note that I made is the upgraded secondary look this is no surprise I've been talking about it all day uh new acquisitions like uh tyon Arnold Andis R straw uh Carlton Davis Ami Robertson bringing back Emanuel Mosley uh kall vildor khil dorsy uh Brandon Joseph I mean Kirby Joseph ifu melaan Wu and the list goes on the continuity is there right your your consistent guys on this defense the guys that have been around for the last few seasons is there right that that that that base layer of Defenders that know the scheme know what AG wants and now you have an upgraded uh defensive line coach and Terell uh Terell Williams and it's it's starting to to kind of make sense right we're we're starting to see the vision come together uh and I don't think it needs to be said but the continuity of having all of the same coaches all of the same coaches offense defense head coach all the same uh all the coordinators uh uh all of the positional coaches all the same nobody's gone anywhere and except unless they've been fired you know unless they were Leto which has only been like what one and then thirdly linebacker depth uh improv depth at linebacker position this was uh a much needed position it still is in my opinion I still feel like we're short a linebacker somewhere am I confident in Malcolm Rodriguez I am I do feel like he was the best option available in that round and and really showed out on a defense that was missing a lot of pieces like he was a bright spot on a defense that didn't have a lot of bright spots in 2021 and now he's starting to get overshadowed a little bit by some some real real dogs right Jack Campbell Alex anzalone I mean these are linebackers these are these are guys that fit the mold uh Derek Barnes is starting to step into his own Jaylen Reeves mayin he's obviously going nowhere because the Lions love his ability as a special teamer I question his ability as a linebacker and and somebody that I trust fully but I'm going to let him prove me wrong and I think that he's going to prove me wrong I think that this is going to be a good season for him I think that he's going to step into his own and and really start to hone in whether whether he's coming off the bench as a rotational player or not I think that he's going to have a good season a solid season I wasn't cracked up about you know the contract but they believe in him and if they believe in him uh then I'm riding with them until uh that ride falls apart right but improv depth at the linebacker position including you know standout performances like Malcolm Rodriguez uh the guy you know he's a three-way ball player right now offense defense special teams uh it's really helped to bolster our run defense when you know you got guys that can come in that can tackle guys that can come in that that know the scheme that know how to play uh you know they're they're grinded out guys you know they're the all grit grind out guys and uh now you've added some elements to this team last season bringing in Jack Campbell who's really going to reshape this defense in my opinion in year two and he's already shown it uh throughout OTAs and and mandatory Camp uh number four the Strategic coaching adjustments so defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn he has implemented uh you know a new scheme and new strategy that will optimize player performance and adaptability here in 2024 you know his plan has always been to unleash uh the interior defensive pass rush and it's something that he believes in it's something that he has spoken about and I think that this year we're finally going to see a new chapter of his Playbook open I almost feel like some things have been kind of held close to the vest because we didn't have the right personnel and at times you know they started to do things he started to open up a little bit started to get a little bit more aggressive and he was really taking a big risk and a big chance because we didn't have the Personnel that he wanted like he felt that CJ Gardner Johnson was that safety that he needed to run more of that nickel defense that we were running and without him you know on the roster you know for 10 12 weeks of the Season he didn't feel comfortable but he went ahead and he started to do it right around what week eight somewhere around in that area week n some sometime in that that area he started to open up a little bit he started to get a little bit more aggressive and that's when we saw Kirby and if yatu mopon Who start to pull down some interceptions and uh we also saw some uh DB blitzes uh off the edge so I'm looking forward to more of that this year when you have capable Corners capable safeties you're going to be able to be more versatile on the back end of the defense and that only helps you know the front four or front six or front five whatever you're running it only helps them uh to succeed at a higher level veteran leadership is a big one uh for this team you know Lions walked away from Tracy Walker he was one of the most veteran guys on this defense uh and now you're looking towards guys like Aiden Hutchinson to really step into that leadership role he's been developing it you know the last couple of Seasons now this is this is his defense this is time for Aiden Hutchinson to lead and and that's going to be paired up with guys like Jack Campbell You Know Jack Campbell's gon to have his voice and then you've got Alex anzelone who's really uh the field general for this defense now if he's not the Mike linebacker that kind of takes away from his his verbal um you know grasp on this team if you will but he's still a leader in between those three guys uh I really feel like this team has a great Foundation uh of leaders on this defense to take it to that next level uh aggressive defensive I think I kind of spoke to this one a little bit uh AG is definitely wanting to be more aggressive Aiden Hudson spoke to it some of the other guys have spoke headed hooker has spoke to it that this defense is extremely pissed off and aggressive and they should be uh I feel like you know they're taking ownership um the the last you know the NFC title game was a tough one and a lot of that was because of the defense now there was some offensive issues that had happened but I still feel like the def kind of overshadowed what happened in that game for the Lions to lose it uh ninth here team chemistry another big one Dan Campbell Brad Holmes what do they always talk about continuity being able to gel uh keeping your guys together keeping the room unified uh they've done it uh strong communication is going to be P you know big key this year uh chemistry among the defensive players to minimize errors and maximize Effectiveness the the only way that you can get there is by keeping your roster together and they've done a good job at doing that they they've continued to bring in guys that match their energy match their aggressiveness and moreover leadership uh they want guys that can come in and be great leaders they don't care where they're getting it from uh they want every single one of these guys to be a leader and that's why when you look at the guys they draft more often than not these guys have been captains at the col level lastly high intensity practices Dan Campbell said it the other day he really wanted three intense practices with these veterans and to get him the heck out of Dodge and and he means that you know these three days here yesterday today and tomorrow are spent at a very high intense level trying to instill as much as they can I mean their book is this thick and and they're probably like this far into it you know they're about an inch into it every day is a different install and and when they hit training camp it's literally day by day is a brand new install they've got to master that entire day before they move on to the next day they can't get behind uh so high-intensity practices intense and focused practice sessions uh we'll obviously have this defense prepared and translating into dominance right I mean that's what we're looking for we want to see our Detroit Lions take a step up last year run defense couldn't have been better I mean I guess they could have been but they were they were phenomenal uh what they did in the in the front you know that defense was exciting uh and the fact that they did it week in and week out tells you that it wasn't just the players making the plays that a lot of that was schemed to and the fact that they understood the scheme now this year they're going to have to make some changes right I mean defense our offenses are going to have us sniffed out as to what we were doing this year but making that change from The Gap and a half defensive scheme or I'm sorry the single Gap scheme to the Gap and a half scheme I think that it showed us exactly why it needed to be done uh giving guys a gap and a half versus a gap makes them more responsible uh you know for a gap in between them and the guy next to them and and having that responsibility uh I think that it really showed up big time in the numbers and how the defense responded so uh Eric raki says I liked hearing about MC mcdc talk about both Levi and Pascal having good off Seasons yep absolutely and that's up next um these elements that I'm speaking to collectively though they they really contribute to the Detroit Lions defensive dominance as highlighted uh you know throughout the past couple of seasons and in various sources including PFF Pride Detroit Lions wire uh Detro lions.com ESPN you name it every single one of those Outlets has a commonality in theme right now if you go read any article it's that this defense is here and they're really showing up in a big way and and I think that for once when we're starting to see everybody kind on the same page even the media man that's a win and I'll take it uh I'm glad that I'm not seeing you know all of this hateful garbage you know that we used to see every single year uh there's one group that does it quite a bit uh one media outlet and I won't mention their name I think everybody knows who they are so next up um mini camp notebook um on Levi and Pascal so before I move on you guys have any comments here we got J momy Lions drafted Manu for a reason I trust holes I haven't spoken about Manu yet in a while but uh yeah no Manu is going to be great uh let's see Joseph OST hey at J Momi bets has looked good so far I remember us talking about his get off at the snap yep uh Tracy I said he was making the team a few times yeah he Manu is definitely goingon to make the team I me it was a third round pick I I cannot imagine cannot imagine that he wouldn't uh that would be a blunder in and of itself if it did happen matter of fact there has been no drafted player other than James Houston that did not make the initial 53 and I think Jamar Jefferson in 2021 was the only other one and he might have made the 53 so only two guys and you're talking you know late round picks not third round guys so Levi unar Turning Heads taking names right uh this defense is taking no prisoners in 2024 they're not they're leaving it on the field and and they're going to leave it all on the field but Levi is finally moving past his back injury now this was written by Jeremy Risman at Detroit on Lion uh prior to Detroit does a great job covering our Detroit Lions and and I wanted to highlight his article tonight so did a great job talking about Levi and what Coach Campbell uh has identified as turning points for Levi and this is big you know coming from a spinal injury myself both neck and Lumbar uh and still dealing with it now since 2020 November 6th of 2020 I've been dealing with it that long and every day is a battle and the fact that this guy's out playing football um he deserves deserves all of our respect just for that simple matter that he survived through you know a nasty back injury like this that that resulted in major surgeries so he's a fighter now having love for a guy because he's a fighter and and you know he's he's given everything that he can sometimes it doesn't translate to a roster spot and I think that that's kind of where Levi is right now and and to be honest with you Josh Pascal I think is kind of in that same boat now I don't think that both of them wouldn't make the roster but I do believe if there is one player right now that is probably on the bubble it would be Levi to a degree but if if everything that we're reading now stays true throughout training camp there's no reason in the world why Levi unisar would not get his last shot at proving everybody wrong uh he just has to keep fighting and and more importantly has to stay healthy so Detroit Lions uh head coach Dan Campbell was very careful with his words reminding himself and everyone else in the Press Room that line play is difficult to evaluate during mini camp uh it's very difficult I mean they're non-padded practices uh so it's it's very tough to see you know where these guys are going to fit once the pads come on still though you you could sense his excitement uh for how the fourth year defensive tackle Levi unar has performed thus far per Jeremy Risman uh Jan Campbell had this to say I just want to be careful because we're not in pads I just want to reiterate reiterate that but Levi is having a really good spring Josh Pascal is too believe I because where he's come from and all he's had to deal with I mean this guy just had just has continued to rehab he's continued to train his body and work he's put on waight because his back can handle it now we got him through last year to where he's able to bank some reps and he's having a really good spring Jeremy goes on to say that that Dan Campbell's comments come after a notably strong practice on Tuesday uh that um that was today that he outlined in this other article let me go to this other article real quick quick and I didn't read this one so I'm going to get back out of this article because I didn't see anything pop off about anque real quick so anyway he goes on to say that Anar has had a back injury uh you know he's been plagued by a back injury his entire NFL career for the most part uh after the Lions drafted him in the second round in 2021 last year he penned a great article on just how debilitating it was for the first two years of his career I can Echo that sentiment it is not fun uh thankfully Anar was able to get through 2023 without any setbacks and now he describes his body as working in harmony for the first time this I truly understand uh he says your back separates your upper body and your lower body so the best way I can explain it is everything is moving together as one on wasar said speed to power my whole body feels like one I can tell you I know what he's talking about because when your your back literally does separate you know upper and lower sometimes I used to feel like my legs were out in front of my body and I was behind my body or vice versa I was over top of my legs and my legs were dragged behind me uh you're just kind of playing catchup with your own body your your back it just doesn't you know there's no communication there you know your feet don't know what your arms are doing and uh nerves are a funny thing that's you know probably part of the reason why I got this whole nerve thing going on at the left side of my body right now but uh they think it's just the shoulder but I get it right I get it I get what he's going through it's not easy it's not fun it's very painful um you know he's had to go through a lot and and he's fighting so he had this to say he said uh when he was asked about um pressure this season and pressure to perform and it must have been something about contracts but he said nah I don't really think about being in a contract here like I said I just take it day by day I want to come out here today and ball out and whenever we practice next I want to do the same good mindset to have uh he also said you want to take all those opportunities that you can the more you can play the more spots you can play the more you'll get out there uh he also said I know what I can do I know for sure what I can do now that I'm healthy and I can get to work uh or now that I'm healthy and I get to work out whenever I want I got I got my bag in I got my duffel I know what I can do I just got to go do it that's it so great mindset uh for for Levi unw arque it's going to be good like when we watched him first get out his first season uh incredible performances right away by Levi like we we really could see why he was brought in and then it disappeared as quickly as it came it disappeared and it hasn't been back this is one guy that's you know on that bubble he's got to get through the injury he's got to get past it if he has any injuries you know between now and week one I think that you know now in preseason week one I think that there's uh potential that he could end up being a 53 man cut casualty if he can't stay healthy if he can stay healthy he obviously has an uphill battle uh the lions are continuing to bring in guys that can perform and they're not afraid to bring in more guys if they need to so this is the year for Levi to prove everybody wrong I'm glad he's having a good camp and you know moreover you know your your life is more than football right I mean there's more to life after football most guys you know that enter the NFL they're washed out with in three seasons and the fact that he's still here still fighting uh I think that it speaks to the patience that Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes both have given themsel with Levi and the respect that they've given Levi to try to get through this and I think that this is the year that you know this is the year that you just can't you cannot make a mistake with the roster and I think that's kind of where the lions are at right now now it's uh all in it's all go it's you know I hate to say Super Bowl or bust but it's they want to win the Super Bowl this year and they need every position on this roster to do it and I think that's why Levi could potentially be cap casualty if he can't stay healthy uh Joseph oston says three back surgeries for me left foot is numb most of the time I hear you there Lots walking can't imagine playing football yeah dude my uh my left thigh above my knee uh about I mean if you were to place your hand on your you know your middle finger just kind of touching your knee that's all numb and it's like hyp sensitive numb it's it's the worst pain in the world yet it's numb it makes no sense um I couldn't imagine being completely paralyzed like how painful that really is but yet you don't really feel it because it's it's nerve pain is is it's stupid it's the worst thing in the world world so Lions mini camp no book for June um it's been interesting Jeff did highlight it a few things uh basically said that you know last week's OTA session was his first real extended look at henden Hooker and basically said his accuracy excuse me basically said his accuracy kind of remained uh bit scattered uh for every needle he threads um and hooker definitely has has some great throws he also has some passes that are simply just off Target and occasionally way off Target so the same drill from last week where he had to quickly pivot after getting the snap and throw the ball into a net was a struggle uh in five throws he missed the entire Target net twice so inconsistency carried into to the drills he was behind Antoine green uh on one rep far too low let me read that again the inconsistency carried into drills he was behind Antoine green on one rep far too low for Tom Kennedy on another again these are uh interspersed between precise rifle shots it's frustrating for those of us watching uh for hooker himself and for offensive coordinator Ben Johnson hold on one second so I get it um hooker's gonna have probably a pretty tough summer like this is his first time playing football at a long time so for all of those people that really thought that henden hooker was going to beat out Jared G and become the starter the guy can't even throw an accurate ball right now and that's because he hasn't been able to in almost 18 months he hasn't even taken a snap yet until the last few weeks you know and this is just practice non-padded practice at that and he can't throw an accurate ball if you can't throw an accurate ball without shoulder pads on imagine how much more difficult it's going to be when you have shoulder pads on and then a defensive lineman bearing down on you and then Aiden Hutchinson bearing bearing down and then Jack Campbell so and then you have to worry about tyon Arnold I love the guy I wanted him to be a Detroit Lion I am all in on his future I think that he's going to be a phenomenal backup quarterback I think that he's going to take some time to develop just like every Young quarterback does now young meaning NFL young uh he's definitely not the youngest quarterback in the league because he's like 25 years old but you know the fact that he's struggling early it's nothing to worry about it's it's really nothing to worry about yet now if this carries into training camp and he's having trouble even hitting a net and it's not even a live target then I'm going to have some questions it's no secret now why Dan Campbell you know was very pointed in in how he mentioned you know that henden hooker's gota you know you know what or get off the pot this year and learn the offense and show us that he can operate uh can't you know I think that we're going to have a bigger camp competition than what we expected with Nate sudfeld all right so moving on here we've got a lot to get into over the next few weeks it's going to be kind of dead you know mandatory mini camp is going to be ending tomorrow uh I'll get out some more videos I think I only got one out today uh but I'll get out some more videos we're going to talk about some independent players we'll do some breakdowns talk about the quarterbacks um across the league so I'm going to be doing some League wide uh videos as well kind of giving you guys a look at what's going on around the NFC North uh we we'll take a look at uh the Bears the Vikings the Packers how are they changing this off season and during Camp uh if anybody's up for some road trips and we're actually able to find tickets to training camp I want to try to sneak into the Bears and the Packers and the Vikings I don't know if it's going to be possible I have no clue if it's going to be possible but if it is I want to try to sneak in and go get a taste of what they're doing um anyway exciting time of the year we've got new players new coaches and whole new le year in front of us for the Lions to really show us what they're about and uh and I think they've gotten off to a great start you know don't mind you know seeing some of the you know tough days that they're going to have I don't mind seeing it it just tells me that someone's playing well you know when the defense is picking off our quarterbacks that's good you know I mentioned that in my video today that uh or from yesterday that that's a good thing we want to see that from the defense if the defense was getting picked apart all the time I think then we would be really concerned and we should be concerned if we're not you know seeing the defense step up and make plays what's nice to see though is we don't even have our full complement of defensive players in right now and the fact that these guys are all getting their hands involved uh you know pulling something out of the cookie jar uh that's that's great to see so we need an improved defense we we need to be a top 15 overall defense this year uh and dare I say you know top 10 should be the goal if we can get into the top 10 and maintain our top five offense there is no reason why we cannot get back into the same situation we were last year and this time take that extra step so that's all for tonight's show I appreciate you guys joining the rocktown Detroit Lions podcast uh off the cuff it is uh Wednesday night June 5th and I'm going to sign off for tonight we'll get back to the rise and grind morning show tomorrow uh right at 8: a.m. and um might have Chef on tomorrow morning I'm not real sure if he's coming on but I'm gonna try to contact him here tonight so you guys take care you have a great rest of your evening I'm going to go water the lawn so until next time go one Pride go Detroit Lions we'll see yall later
