well Co figure once again the Detroit Lions are accused of cheating in backto back Seasons you know I guess it uh it goes a little something like this you know if you can't beat him blame them why not blaming the Detroit Lions and saying that we have painted the endzone uh and the wall colors to match the jerseys so that the players can hide I mean are we being real with this right now is this real life are we this sour you got sour grapes because your team lost the Detroit Lions have been hit again with allegations of cheating after the blue and silver jerseys appeared to blend in with the end zone colors during their victory over the Los Angeles Rams during Sunday Night Football to kick off the opening weekend now in the SE season's first Sunday night football showdown the Lions obviously won 26 to2 uh some late game heroics here in overtime which didn't involve really much passing it was mostly on the ground but I'm going to come back to that in just a moment uh but Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford uh threw for an interception to none other than Kirby Joseph you know the guy that he also said was a cheater and also said what that he was dirty and uh so it's in fitting fashion that it was Kirby Joseph that that got back there at at Matthew Stafford uh however though the Los Angeles defense couldn't handle the Lions aggressive go ground game uh at the very end of this game here in overtime and that is why the Detroit Lions uh won this game but let's talk about the situation at hand here shall we Matthew Stafford throws an interception to Kirby Joseph who he was hidden really well but it had nothing to do with the fact that we've got new jerseys it has nothing to do with the fact that the end zone is painted blue it has nothing to do with the fact that the wall is painted blue or the 10,000 fans in that end zone are all wearing blue jerseys nope it has nothing to do with that you want to know why because we haven't changed a damn thing we haven't changed anything the Lions have always had a blue wall they've always had the blue End Zone we've always had blue jerseys nothing has changed matter of fact here let me show you here's an image uh from the wild card game oh blue Endzone go figure look how close it is to those blue jerseys here's another one blue Endzone see how it says it takes all of us that's that you can tell that that's from this this last playoff wild card game okay okay it has nothing and you can see Jonah Jackson right there number 73 so you know it's from that game CU he no longer plays for the Detroit Lions blue Endzone blue jerseys pretty much the same color it is no different but let me tell you why it doesn't matter here's what you guys are all missing if you can hide a Defender by wearing a blue jersey on a blue background a blue End Zone with a bunch of blue fans what would happen to Jared gof then how would he be able to find his receivers in the end zone he wouldn't be able to see them right they would blend in which means he wouldn't have a Target to throw at he he he would just have to throw it at a white jersey for the LA Rams correct because that's all he would be able to see this is how pathetic people are when the Detroit Lions win you have to go this far off into tin hat tinfoil City whatever you want to call it to say that now we've cheated yet again just like we cheated uh against Dallas because we outsmarted them and the refs and the league just because we're smarter just because we play harder and because we take every advantage that we can because that is the game of football gamesmanship is the game of football football and use it to our advantage as often as we can now Jared gof attended an interview on 971 the ticket and he was asked to weigh in uh on the popular well now popular conspiracy theory that the uniform was intended to blend in with the endzone to help Detroit's defense it just doesn't make any sense to me that you all forgot about the offensive side of the the the ball here uh here's what Jared G had to say you know I don't know it can be I would say more does it match the wall behind the end zone is probably the better thing if it works we'll take it absolutely you know what if it if it is meant to be it's meant to be I'm surprised that Jared gof didn't mention the offensive side of the ball uh but it is what it is um we're not cheating here people we got blue jerseys we got a blue End Zone we've always had it we've always had the blue wall we've always had the blue jerseys ain't a damn thing changed other than we're a damn good football team so stick that in your pipe and smoke it quit crying and show up on Sunday and try to beat us that's it game over quit whining I'm sick of it blue jerseys get out of here [Music]
