First Time Watching LONGLEGS (2024) | Horror Movie Reaction | Maika Monroe, Nicolas Cage

[Music] hey everyone Thanks for clicking on this video my name is chance and today we're back with another movie reaction this time with OSG good Perkins long legs now I'm going into this one pretty much completely blind I watched the first teaser when it came out but that was when it first came out and I don't remember anything the only thing that I do know is that it's supposed to be sort of like seven and maybe Silence of the Lambs where we have a FBI agent hunting down a serial killer I know it's STS Nicholas Cage as the Killer and I believe her name is Micah Monroe I'm not sure how you pronounce it but either way she's been killing it there's still quite a few things I need to watch of her so I definitely want to check those out soon and I've heard a lot of good things about this one I've been really excited to watch it so we're just going to hop right in but before we do if you're new here I do react to any and everything all [ __ ] so if this sounds like something you would sounds creepy like somebody said tick tock tick tock well you're slim and you're weak youve got the tee of a Hydra Pond and you're dirty sweet and you're my girl T-Rex 19 1971 that was a really cool transition this music is super Eerie I love we're like in this old like VHS type format girl please don't go out there I can already tell this movie is going to make me paranoid for the rest of the day cuckoo cuckoo is this the wrong movie also that was definitely Nicholas Cage's voice so I already know some nefarious things are about to happen oh what the [ __ ] there she is the almost birthday girl what the hell it seems I wore my long legs today you wore your long legs [Music] oh what the [ __ ] I was going to say is T-Rex a band I'm pretty sure it's a band what the [ __ ] that was creepy as [ __ ] I'm like it sounds like him but it doesn't look like [Music] him oh we're doing like parts Part One his letters okay this will be cool he's a middle-aged Caucasian male and not likely to go quiet so we know some information at least so I'm assuming this takes place in the '90s maybe it seems I've woron my long legs today I'm never going to get that out of my head it's so weird what does that even mean smell like narcotics the kids smell like narcotics what's that one what's what one what he's in there how do you know that we should call it in no wait what really do they know the exact like small area that he's supposed to be in I wonder if this movie isn't as grounded in reality and maybe we're dealing with like some super Supernatural stuff she can sense things or something hell there I am take a look at that for me holy [ __ ] what the hell she was right is there plastic all over the place you should have called that in before you walked in there so creepy this is somebody else so is this a different case leer are you ready to begin they're going to be like how did you know inclusive what is the it's a really cool shot you a baseball fan Harker no sir oh I didn't know he was in this set it all you beat that numbers generator eight times how'd you do that yeah she's got some kind of gift family of four lived in that house for 12 years two months ago they all get murdered inside that's awful I he didn't do it halfway either stabbed his wife 61 times Jesus that's insane the letter was left with the bodies WR in coded alphabet and is and all of them signed with one word long legs someone or something is making the fathers do it so far we've been goddam to figure out what or who like I said I don't know anything about this story going in blind but this is so intriguing you identified a suspect's house no prior knowledge no real indication that it was any way different yeah that was crazy anything like that ever happened to you before a h I'm almost wondering if she was the little girl in the beginning all the victim families have daughters whose birthdays are on the 14th of Any Given month oh wonder why get to work I'm liking this already but it's not my daughter it's not my daughter I got to be quiet I got to be quiet what the hell to do it do what when her eyes are closed so weird I think there's some new Supernatural stuff going on here can you stay on the line my God is he stabbing the child11 oh my God eight times a knife from the family's kitchen wants a hammer from the family's tool jeez long legs would have to be inside the house to use the shotgun the knife the hammer like I don't know if this is like grounded in reality or if there's some Supernatural stuff because I'm wondering if he's like possessing the bodies of the the daughters and then committing the stuff it sounds crazy but that that reads like a page out of Manson maybe Manson had accomplishes his family you think long legs has help maybe some Supernatural help I'll drive I was going to say you should probably not drive and the lights are on I'm busted get to come meet my wife and kid um sir I don't want to oh I hope it doesn't happen like to one of the agents like I can we're meeting this guy's family I could see some kind of showdown at the end or somewhere it happens to this family past your bedtime well now it's even later and we way past my bed hi honey she's so awkward and like disconnected from everyone else yet she can like perceive everything a lot better than most people what happened to this one it's head got cut off and I don't know where it is I had a trophy like that missing head feels have it pretty tough don't they she's playing this awkward chai disconnected row very well it's tomorrow didn't you tell me my birthday party a sounds great to me why don't you ask her she's like please don't how do you pronounce her name is it m Micah MAA either way I need to watch her more movies I've only seen her in a couple things [Music] who the hell is playing a guitar this late at night by the way I just love how this film is shot how everything looks the directing work the cinematography everything just I love the feel and look of this film what what are you doing big ass cordless phone I just can't sleep a lot in my mind work stuff want to know more about her past and her childhood growing up want to tell me about it no you probably don't want to hear about it somebody's birthday coming up oh she has a birthday coming up too the [ __ ] was that girl get your gun cues this got to be like what 2 o'clock good shots in this I need to see what else this o good Perkins directed what the hell is that this is so dark what the [ __ ] there's somebody in your house I love how she's like kind of panicking though makes it a little more realistic did you get a letter from long legs do not open until January 14th the 14th oh [ __ ] all of your things that was a great cut it's crazy he's been doing this knows about your mom and everything who is this guy within that amount of time of her being on the case too no there's got to be some Supernatural stuff at play here but I love that they don't tell you exactly they're like leaving us to guess and figure it out which is cool found plane tickets for Los Angeles and reservations for Disneyland sounds like a nice idea it does H I've never been I want to go to Disneyland 14th seems like it how'd you figure that out I only looked long enough sir wrist and Throat Kitchen knife in his hand his wounds look self-inflicted yeah usual Amma are you know more about the first scene that we saw what case was that with the little girl where he showed up is it possibly her cuz they said he'd been doing this for 30 years last time she heard those Whispers wasn't good Nine Circles of [Music] hell oh draw the same symbol what's it going to reveal whoa it was somebody there and they just like faded away creating an inverted triangle M we could figure out the next victim right kills the priest his wife and then himself kion's at school so she survives H with the date March 8th now look at kenn's birthday within 6 days 14th of the second 14 yep 6 days apart let's see if we can find this keran is she still alive she still alive water Rock Psychiatric Hospital oh great Psy ATC Hospital hopefully she's able to tell us something they don't have her all drugged up what are we going to find in here anxious music tones Rising the subtitle say yeah I'm feeling a little anxious here so if we are dealing with like some Supernatural stuff here demonic stuff I don't know if he's taking control of the people and doing it while in their bodies or or if he's influencing them somehow with demonic magic dark magic I don't know the composition in all these shots is just so good the hell are we going to find under here what the hell triangle with a smiley face creepy oh that is so disturbing oh what the [ __ ] she's handmade that's for sure and beautifully handmade at that that is so disturbing the hell is this a long legs nice to meet you caran what because you are the dark oh Nicholas Cage is killing it with the creepy Vibes the other night I could have sworn it was whispering my ex-wife's name over and over again maybe weird she was like living that moment is this more of that band T-Rex girl you need to evacuate [Music] leave I don't know what that was supposed to be me neither and what day is your birthday little angel not nowhere near the damn uh n eth or whatever [Music] [Applause] [Music] uhmy okay but the log should say wow signed her name thank you Kenne for taking the time to talk to me today I was going to say that scene with Nicholas Cage it's a typical Nicholas Cage like we've seen him talk like that before but it's in this context it's so different so much more creepy it's like a long dream and so dark he said you are dark what's that called she looks familiar doing the limbo she the girl that was in that Sabrina the Teenage W show oh flashback I mean oh my God that is terrifying it work the face went away I saw a face there for a second let her up too much what the [ __ ] what the [ __ ] is going on oh my God that's the doll oh my God oh my God a Jesus Christ jeez thought he was going to give me nightmares can you describe him for me yeah he had long legs to come and tells me something's to do for him to do something for the man down the stairs the devil like if and he told me to take a jumpy out of window I'd surely do or kill people or if and he told me to kill you right right here in this room with my bare hand I'd surely do so what did he tell you to do and your eyes is to go out the blood I don't feel safe yeah I feel like she's very important to this and a part of this somehow with her past I didn't know Nicholas Cage is going to be like full makeup like this and then leaves his only surviving victim feeling much much better than before he got there I don't know is she much much better same day we found the doll yeah that could be anything but a coincidence yeah something to do with those meow spheres in the head in some cultures dolls are used in magic to the FBI does not want to hear [ __ ] about magic trust me long legs is just a man arer not a witch doctor no last week this investigation is ice cold then you come on to it and all of a sudden it's flowing maybe mean this has been good but this is just getting even better and better the pacing is really good too it's only like an hour and 37 minutes some movies like this will try and like be over 2 hours long and it can drag this movie hasn't dragged one bit so far you got some explaining to do will you tell me the honest truth about something will you do you still say your prayers I never said my prayers never once damn is this a good laugh or a bad laugh do we laugh with you let me make you something te she's going to ease her way into this conversation huh you is that a roach oh flashback it's somebody's birthday starting to remember remember ah such a great shot just completely dark but the car pulling up with the lights lights up the scene this movie is amazingly directed oh [ __ ] mama don't play that [ __ ] me Jesus how many keys do you have I like the key the key rack being a giant old school key that's pretty cool I can't believe it's going to be your birthday again so soon how many days have we got do you remember my ninth birthday specifically the day before no I don't think so lies I don't remember anything do you see the tears IM immediately fill her eyes what happened that day no um Mom I'm working on this case I'm in need your help all of your things it's all in your room so there's a clue in there also makes me very interested in the killer like why little girls on a certain birthday you know like what what is their oo they're driving motivation cheing C cheese and crackers who are you and why are you talking to my kid I'm long leges let me in now and it can be nice oh my God go see yeah have a picture of him you sure you want to start a man hun with this I'm sure he's going to kill your mom we need to get your mom out of there now looks like he's making another doll that was a great transition makeup is crazy damn they found him already you said I'm ready ready for the Big R bab I'm going to need you to get down in the [ __ ] ground why you said that down on the [ __ ] ground I don't like your face and recover yourself long legs every dayker the heral Angels Sing I have a feeling here what he got to the mom maybe and he has her somewhere happy birthday Le Harker sick and you'll be there and you'll be there he is killing it with this performance though happy birthday to [Music] you it goes on like that for a while and suffice to say it's all heavily satanic as we expected he worships the devil that's for sure in the United States of America he's allowed to do that that's hilarious he has to have someone helping him maybe multiple but it seems like he's got people under his control and if we do this right he'll spend the rest of his life in jail doubt it we can expect his accomplice to kill at least one more family you better hope it's not yours or your mom of this movie is making my stomach tighten up everywhere you can even call them everywhere the girl at the psych psychiatric hospital was talking like that too there she is the almost birthday girl he's so creepy we had such a big laugh about it we you and the devil to be given the same choice that they've all been given Crimson or Clover Crimson or Clover like a r someone's been helping you Satan Farmhouse will be so bright and white you can't miss it you're referring to Carri and Cameron yep so white water than a fishous throat water than TTS not all titties just like the story she was telling her earlier I get from the church you won doll maker started his work terrible magic with a little bit of him in everyone crazy the doll made the little girl forget and told her where to look oh you could have made nice with me what the [ __ ] to all of things oh my God that is terrifying in exchange she would have to help him no way any congratulations you I didn't think the mom was part of all this all her mother had to do was get it inside then what his hiding place within the dolls the devil did the rest Jesus that was the deal that she made wow I knew in the be like I said she had to be connected to all this somehow I didn't expect all of that though well if she makes it out of this it's safe to say her job at the FBI is probably no longer secured where the hell are we whose house are we in now oh [ __ ] this is his basement ain't it oh this was the basement in the mom's house wow that's what he was saying when you decided to become F agent age 20 he's like I laugh but she didn't he was talking about her mom for Miss Ruby's birthday party oh no I totally forgot about her oh my God please tell me this poor family isn't going to get killed they're going to be terrified and got your gun out yeah in fact you're here just in time because Miss Ruby just started opening a presents oh no please don't tell me one of the presents is a [Music] doll [ __ ] oh no don't mind me I'm just a friend of a friend I knew she was going to say that no Carter you have to listen to me what is going on with Carter oh no is he being possessed or controlled influenced whatever we want to call it by the doll the woman is already dead what I'm so sorry I'll be right back no I'll be right back damn he's about to go in there and kill her if they don't die need to get you out of here it's taunting H Satan not the smooch all right that was long legs these are just my quick afterthoughts there's actually a lot I could go to in this movie but I want to save it for a future podcast episode when I start that soon but I'll just start by saying this movie was damn near perfect I thought the directing was great the cinematography the acting from everyone was amazing I thought the music was really good and super eerie and creepy and I love the story and the mystery and trying to figure out exactly what was going on and especially with that twist TST I know I called some of this stuff but I didn't expect the mom to be involved in it and sort of made some deal with him and then when I was going back and editing the movie there was so many things that you know they hint towards like with the man downstairs when he was literally living downstairs in her mom's house yeah this movie was flawlessly executed I thought it was amazing let me know what you
