NEXT THEY GO OFF SO LOUD THAT YOU HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO CLEAR OUT OF THE APARTMENT. >> RESIDENTS RECORDED THE EAR PIERCING ALARMS THAT THIS DAY GOES ON FOR TWO MINUTES TO TWO HOURS AT A TIME THROUGHOUT THE HIGH END UNITS, 317 APARTMENTS AND 21 TOWN HOUSES. >> IT WOULD GIVE YOU HEARING LOSS. >> Reporter: CANDACE USE HIS 4000 A MONTH AND WONDERS HOW MUCH LONGER HER FAMILY CAN ENDURE THIS. >> THEY WOULD GO OFF FROM 9:30 AT NIGHT UNTIL 1:30 IN THE MORNING, THEN THEY NEED TO GO UP AND GO TO SCHOOL THE NEXT DAY, HE WOKE UP WITH A MIGRAINE. >> I GET A HEADACHE LIKE 30 MINUTES AFTER IT. >> VERY LOUD, HARD TO SLEEP AT NIGHT. >> Reporter: THEY HAVE RESPONDED TO 21 FALSE ALARMS IN THE PAST YEAR, IN FEAR IT HAS BECOME LIKE THE BOY WHO CRIED WOLF >> WE WERE WORRIED ABOUT THAT THE RESIDENTS WERE GETTING VERY COMPLACENT ABOUT IT. AS A RETIRED FIREMAN, I KNOW THAT HAPPENED. >> Reporter: THEY APOLOGIZED FOR THE ALARM MALFUNCTIONS AND SAID BUILDING SAFETY IS ITS TOP PRIORITY, BLAMING CONSTRUCTION ISSUES.
