David overall for you, what what do you think is allows you to reach this next level and especially with your consistency as of late? Hey, I think it just goes into the work. We put in and working with half and working with the catchers and just being able to execute one pitch at a time and control what I can control. Another change has been such a big pitch for you. It wasn't quite where it's been in the past tonight. How are you able to still be that effective without having that weapon where it's been? Yeah, you know I think just being able to use other stuff using the curb a little bit more, both the fastballs and the slider. So yeah. I mean it wasn't exactly where I wanted it tonight but we threw a couple good ones and something built on going forward. Winkers catch. It's amazing. That was, yeah, that was a big one. Fun to watch and it's just it's everybody on defense. They all do a great job and so to see him fully lay off of that one and catch. It was with special friends to school and doors doing right now. I mean it's he's playing some really good baseball and it's just it's fun to play with him every day and watch him do his thing and he Out there every day which is which is awesome for us. So yeah, it's he's spectacular. Go into the 8th tonight. Yeah. It was, it's good to get deep in the game and especially with kind of how we use the bullpen last night. Unfortunate that we lost Paul early, but yeah, it was good to get deep in the game and fun to work with. I'll be back there tonight and trusted defense David. How much different is it for you and you go through the course of a season now fully healthy finally for the first time in a while and really only have to focus on what you're doing as a pitcher and less so trying to work around. And some some physical problems. Yeah, I'm going to makes my job easier. I can go and focus on what I love to do and my body's in a spot where I'm good with it. And so yeah it's one less thing to worry about and like I said just going out there and focusing on pitching and execute a chance on the road that the Mets fans travel. Well, I was, you know, it's always it's always special when every whenever you hear something like that. So I appreciate I appreciate whether they came out and support her a the team. Just locked into you, feel authentically right now. I'm gonna go spy I'm gonna go wait you know just gotta Embrace and try to write as long as I can and just continue to move move forward, you know, and yeah, that's pretty much it all that for you with the MVP stuff. Obviously, you know what? You've done what you bring to the table every day? How much do you look around the league and pay attention to what other guys have done? I don't really look around the league to see what other guys are doing. I watch highlights because I'm a fan of the game and I love watching athletes Dueler their best score, the highest level, you know. So every night in my room, I watch the highlights. If I don't, if I, if I have a tuna to watch the highlights and not watch somebody from somebody else's game so yeah, I'm aware this other guys having a years adjacent to the MVP stuff, this is shaping up as your best season with the Mets. What does that mean to you? But I gotta continue to move forward and continue to climb the mind. We still got our month and probably a few more days, understand where we are embrace it, learn from it and the bigger goal here is to be in the postseason that's in the that's extremely in front of me. So I just continued to To believe in God, believe in our team and just keep climbing in the mind, when does Being able to Homer from both sides of the plate? You've done that before. Obviously, what does that tell you about? You know where your swing is that for me that means my body aligned perfectly today when I reckon rotate from one side and then turn around and rotary perfectly on the other side. That means my body's in and it's in a good spot, you know, that's what I try to do. Dana Out, I come out and do my work early to put my body in a position where it's ready, fire from both sides and it feels pretty cool to hit home runs and he sighed for sure. It's one of those where as you run the bases like wow my swing is good. You know I'm aligning pretty good but understand that. Today's a good day, embrace it, come back tomorrow and and do the best I can. I'm just gonna put a little spot obviously. You got getting on base line, hits me, you become an incredible run producer in that position, the morning. How much is that due to the fact that that guys in the bottom third of them in order to get on base for a lot? A lot of the guys, I mean, McNeil had a great about the end in front of the Grand Slam and the guys in front of him, they did an amazing job of putting quality at-bats, you know, King today. He was, he pitched. Well, you know, he pitched. Well, he I don't run when score fourth and then P broken back double, you know, I mean he pitched well I it's one of those that you got to tip your hat and just just so happened. We score five of them in, you know? But it true you definitely to the guys in front of me that are having quality at-bats are getting on base and I just I was today was just so happened. That I was the guy that got hit a grand slam. What did you think? I think when the China drop that ball extending they need a few days. I mean it's one of those were everybody in the dog? I was just like highly like into the game into the moment. And everybody just just like, are here we go, let's go. Let's go. Let's make something happen. So you just it's one of those that snowball into that I didn't you know. Yeah. It was part of the game. The way Peterson has been picture for you guys. Amazing. Amazing. He the way he's preparing the way he's attacking hitters. The way he's winning counts the way he he's up for the challenge day in and day out. I'm super happy for him. I'm happy for for us.
