now to the new era for Wheel of Fortune Ryan crust and Vanna White are here welcome guys good to see all of you good morning so Ryan I feel like we've been on your journey for months as you've been I apologize you've been preparing are you ready uh Vanna am I ready he's ready okay yes he is I started practicing around the country we uh made a little portable wheel that traveled to different places where I was working on different shows and we played Wheel of Fortune in the conference room with just random strangers around America so that was my homework in trying to get ready for serious PR yeah I'm serious there's a portable wheel we'll be giving it away this season you too van you have been on the show and in our hearts for 40 years and we went to the GMA archiv oh boy take a look at this Vanna any other aspirations at the moment my good not at the moment I'm going to be with Wheel of Fortune as long as it as long as it's on and I'm still here and we're so happy that you are so have you been giving this little one some ight some tip you know what I when he came on I I said just be yourself that's the best advice I can give you and he has been himself it's uh it's a dream honestly to be on this show to work with fan I'm so happy that you are going to be on board with us and it's the same Wheel of Fortune that everybody loves it's just me standing there saying let's play that's really the big difference what's the most challenging part of the gig other than the Let's Play part spelling um I'm not I'm not the greatest at spelling I I rely on autoc correct quite a bit in real life uh but it's just fun every night three new contestants they're winning cash and prizes escape from the world and just join us for a little bit of of action on you get to meet so much of America every night as well so do you have any backstage rituals before you get out there we check each other's teeth right we do lipstick food yeah lipstick yeah we check on lipstick but usually we have um uh we we like to snack on nuts in between takes and shows so we check for almond skin I mean that's that's a good friend and you do a little crocheting backstage don't you I do I do I love doing it I haven't done a lot of it he he keeps me busy I I I like to move things along we we we hurry through the breakes Han behind the scenes you're also a mom what's earned you the most mom points in all of this my gosh on Celebrity we had Snoop Dog and my daughter who is a huge fan of his his I mean she she meets a lot of everybody she goes mom can I meet him is there any way I can come and meet him I would love to meet him so she she did I said come on over and here they are she was so happy what was he like was that a good meeting for it was great he was so nice he's a cool dude yes oh mama approved I absolutely what keeps you coming back and thankfully so year after year just it's such a happy show it's fun too right it never gets old there's always new puzzles I have a new dress you never know what going to be said 8,000 new dresses yes is there any one show that stands out for you not really you know I look at these people who come on we change their lives and it's just amazing yeah it is I love it how how heavy is it's heavy is it it looks like obviously little me is strong but it is heavier than you think I'm impressed with some people who can just swing that wheel around several times but it's uh it's it's a lot more wait so extra time with the trainer now yeah yes George I know I need it yeah I'm spending extra time with the trainer so has has Pat weight in at all is giving you any any he he really said you're going to enjoy seeing people's reactions on being on the show I mean they've waited a lifetime they are so excited that they got the call to be a contestant on this show because it means so much I mean it's a show that we all love we all have watched for so many years and it's more than just a show it's part of our culture here I think about that sorry go ahead Robin no I just think about that I grew up watching it with my grandparents it was a pre- dinner ritual in our home as a kid did you ever watch thinking like okay cover your ears okay yes I did I I watched this show it always made us feel great you know I knew dad was home from work my mother was there my sister we all would get together and watch the show when you heard wheel oh fortunate it was time to run into the living room and sit down and watch and play along and season 42 premieres today congratulations guys we look check your local listings
