The CDC issued another warning about a deadly deli meat Listeria outbreak. It's been going on for the past few months. At least nine people are known to have died after getting sick from boars head deli meat. There have been 57 confirmed listeria linked illnesses across 18 states. So far, none in Colorado but a person in New Mexico recently died. Symptoms of Listeria include fever, headache, nausea. Horsehead says it is investigating the root cause of the issue. In late July. The company recalled more than 7 million pounds of its ready to eat liver worst and some other deli meats. The feds say this is America's largest Listeria outbreak since the one linked to Cantaloupe. Back in 2011, it came from a farm in Colorado.
