Right now is prime time for new cases of West Nile virus, which officials now say is responsible for three more deaths in the Midwest. Health officials in Wisconsin confirmed two people have now died from West Nile virus. It uh one of them was in Wisconsin. We're also dealing with one in Illinois right now in Illinois. There's an 18 year old on a ventilator after contracting the virus that young man's parents say symptoms started with a headache, dizziness and vomiting. My son was a healthy athletic individual, very outgoing and charismatic and to see him lethargic and struggle to do simple basic functions. It's hard, severe cases and deaths from these diseases are rare when it comes to West Nile. The US CS 100 to 200 deaths per year. Experts recommend using insect repellent and wearing long sleeved shirts and pants at dusk and dawn mosquitoes tested positive for West Nile in Jefferson County last month.
