welcome to Tuscaloosa Alabama Title Town some call it a moniker that many claim but this city lives thanks to the Alabama Crimson TI we have a ranked versus unranked battle coming up here and you know how chaos can ensue they start smelling an upset as we'll see a squad from the AAC the south Florida BS taking on the sixth ranked team in the land the Alabama Crimson Tide for EA Sports college football I'm Rees joined here in the booth as always by David Pollock and Jesse Palmer guys let's ke this one [Music] [Applause] [Music] up the Bulls will kick it away to start us off he'll bring it out it's Hamilton stopped at the 17 and he's probably second guessing that return so the Alabama Crimson Tide offense will take the field for the first possession of this game and here he is guys anytime he takes the field he is in complete control with this offense and David he gives defensive coordinators nightmares because of his ability they're going to have a hard time slowing him down no he just doesn't have those weaknesses those flaws the whole Playbook avilable and he is a from the shotgun now here's an inside give gets it out to the 25 yd line a gain of three third down and they'll need two on this initial Drive of the game to the ground to try to pick up the first he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple the Crimson tie will bring the punt team on the field they'll have to punt for the first time this afternoon holds it in at the 25 the solid return there offsets some of the pun yardage and really sets up this offense nicely so usf's offense will try to get something going with their first possession I know what a weapon he is on the outside but stretching the field against this dude in the secondary will be a challenge and just some safeties have it the awareness the ability to see the ball to break on the football and he's one of those this QB better be looking the safety off you can't just trust your receiver's going to out aete him every time you throw him the ball cuz this safety is a different breed he's there to make the Stop and they threw it in reverse losing yardage on that play the Bulls come to the line in the hurry up they'll try to pick it up on the ground he's got first down yardage as they move it to the 44 this crowd full throat splitting the eard drums and letting him know it's going to be a long day he'll pull it on the read and a nyd gain on first down leaves him with second and short no huddle here for the offense Brown will throw it flips it out to the back he is stopped behind the line of scrimmage they lose yards on that one decb Rising as the crowd Gets behind this defense on third down they'll try to run for it that play just never had a chance a knock him down for a loss of five and the Bulls will try to pin them back with the punt first punt of the day and he'd love to lock them up close to their goal line here comes that Alabama offense the last time we saw this offense we had to look quick it was a three and out Jesse he just had no rhythm in that last drive so someone's going to have to step up and make a play David and get this thing going yeah let's find some juice find your guy find those plays that you know you can run inside out forward backwards get some first downs get some positive momentum good surge up front give him four out to the 18 this is the type of play that can give the offense momentum third and short from inside the 20 [Applause] looking to throw for it caught over the middle it's ra and they'll finally catch up to him but not before a big chunk of yardage is picked up wow and what a great job by that quarterback finding his open receiver on third down you know guys one of the most telling stats at the end of the game is third down conversion percentage if you're a great third down team it's in valuable to your offensive success and that's why teams drill third down so much in practice [Applause] on second down they'll take to the air got it in the middle it's Prentice and this junior loves to show off that big arm this Alabama offense is clicking they're set up with another first down they'll run it from the gun they'll rip off eight on that play it's second and two sixth play of the drive coming [Applause] up the give to the bat nice move to keep moving and they drag him down but not before he picks up the first down here's this offense with a fresh set of [Applause] downs he'll come out throwing on first down and you just don't expect your Junior quarterback to get fooled and to throw it into double coverage like that now on second down keeps it on the boot leg looking to throw pass rush coming after the quarterback and they get him at the 32 and that is an all too familiar s listen this team won last week but they gave up four sacks they got to protect this young man early in this game don't set the tone and let's not go back to last [Applause] one ninth play of the drive coming up but this one will be tough third and long he's looking down field to throw he got a hand in there knocks it away incomplete and they're going to head out the line up for a field goal he's going to try to knock one through from 49 yds away spit the upright it'sit good and the first points of the day come on that field [Music] [Music] after putting up the field goal they're set to kick it away the returner will field it and try to set up his offense in great field position really disciplined job by the coverage unit to get down there and make the stop at the 19 out of the gun they'll run it inside and a pick pick up of eight opens a world of opportunities on second and two the Bulls moving quickly to the line off play action throws for the tight end and the ball is intercepted trying to take it back he steps out of bounds but not only does he get the ball back what a return to set up his offense and that's just excellent cover man cover want nowhere to throw the football look at everybody playing man across the board you still got the safety in the middle of the field nobody open and if I'm the QB man I don't need to force it I I don't force it into the Tight Windows if it's not there he throws it unfortunately gets the interception bad decision by the QB there the tide offense rolls onto the field theyve got the lead here last time they settled for a field goal but David got to find that balance between being aggressive and careful and I think they'll take that I got the lead former I got the football I got to take care of the football put a nice drive together and just get some kind of points on this drive no doubt lots to be happy about right now if you're this team and he's on his way he'll go all the way touchdown TI this coaching sta was trying to identify Playmakers on offense early this year how about the start of the season this guy has had scored in their first game he scored early in this one defenses up to this point don't have any answers for this guy lining up to attack one more onto that [Applause] lead and with the extra point they pushed the lead out a little further and for a quick update let's go to Kevin Conor's in the studio Dynamite match up this week fellas let's show you what's going down LSU is running away with things right now and you just no Mike the Tiger is loving this offense today they up by 21 over the pandas just another week of college football where we've come to expect the unexpected fellas and how about that one Kevin will be keeping an eye on everything going on elsewhere On The Run it's Kei crossing the 30 he G away and he'll pick up the first down after a tough run there here's this offense with the fresh set of downs well with the weapons this offense has you knew it was just a matter of time in the Run game before someone was going to break a long one they just been running into a wall that just couldn't seem to find their creases and get enough movement up front but they finally got it there picking up the first let's see what happens [Applause] now coming out on first down with the play fake but he can't get away again and down he goes and the trickeration is not so tricky really nice play when you talk about Alabama and their dominance on defense especially in recent years it all starts off you have to have disruptors playing on the defensive line guys that can be personal and line up at different positions but create havoc in the back field and that's what this guy has been able to do throughout his career a first down sack can wreck a drive let's see what they've got on second and 14 wide open downfield and it is a chunk play a huge gain on that one before the defense brings it to an [Applause] end leaves it with the back they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one and the Bulls want to crank the tempo [Music] [Applause] Brown wants to pass working that left side now the defense wouldn't let him loose and even though it's in completion they lost yardage trying to move the sticks on third down through the air using the back as a receiver on the screen all right the offense wanted a first down there but they got the completion and now it's that's up a fourth down situation where it's page but I can accomplish it and yes I'm going for it he split the uppr to Blitz three on the board that means the score 10 South [Applause] they were able to get a field goal on the board and now they'll kick it [Applause] away he'll start the return inside his spot didn't find any crease in that kickoff coverage and he'll be stopped at the 17 here comes that Alabama offense that last Drive really productive David wound up with a touchdown they'll try to do it again yeah so I don't expect this offense to change too much ree they had a great Drive they got the touchdown everything working I would expect them to keep pushing this ball downhill and just imagine if they could put another touchdown on the board right here they could capture so much momentum in this game with backto back TDS he is tackled but it'll be a fresh set of downs now on First and 10 from the 29 looking for space it's young knocked down after getting six all the way out to the 34 ydd line 6yd pickup on first down leaves him with second and four out of the gun the inside handoff looking for a crease he's finally brought down but that freshman found some Running [Applause] Room so Alabama takes the lead into the quarter break we played one before we move on let's have a look at the stats [Music] they are lined up and ready to go and get things started here in the second Alabama rowing quickly downfield set up with another first down he's looking to throw it grabbed over the middle it's brenis and they'll finally get him down after a terrific pickup Alabama comes to the line with first and 10 they'll run it out of the shotgun just broke the tackle and still on his feet and he finds Some solid space makes a nice game before the defense is able to stop it back to throw it's mro and the quarterback will take a sack back at the 36 often times with play action you're asking the quarterback to hold on the ball a bit longer and you're asking this offensive line to hold up and pass Pro a bit longer against this athletic front seven on defense it's going to be tough now facing a third and long from the gun wants to pass and here comes the pressure and there he goes down again they'll tell you that somebody's always going to pop open but it didn't happen in time before they got the sack no it did not and you know what I'm going to remember this I'm going to remember zone defense they didn't really have an answer they weren't ready to get rid of the football quarterback hesitated I got to him and got him on the ground might be a good call later on in the game and they're running out the kicker to give it a try this kicker bragged that he can kick an 80 yd field goal he'll settle for a 59 Yer here good it's good and now the lead is even bigger well that kid just showed off his hammer for a leg 50 plus and he did it with [Music] [Music] ease so after the main field goal they'll kick it away and rely on their [Applause] defense and he's going to bring it out of the end zone nice job by the kickoff team everybody stayed in their lanes and they'll stop him at the 16 South Florida has it back and the Bulls offense will return to the field they are trailing by 10 here Jesse but this is the type of team that seems comfortable in an offensive shootout you got to hold serve at this point right you got to drive the field put some more points up on the board yeah they just scored you can answer that now and keep this thing close and I think you're used to that as offense like football is so fastpaced now and you score so quickly it's not that big of a deal to get down 10 you keep being you keep being aggressive the balls racing to the line in the hurry [Music] up brown will throw it looking to the big tight end and that's incomplete a Defender all over him knocked the ball to the ground fourth down coming up and the Bulls will bring the punt team onto the field this will be the second time they've had to kick it away on the return it's Adams this guy is a daring punt return man he's not going to settle for the fair catching solid return gets a little bit of ground for the offense moving the running back forcing the defense to adjust they'll run the RPO and throw it right and the defense coming with bad intentions they knock him down for a loss brings up second down now the play fake he slings it deep to the left fires the pass intercepted and they capitalize not only on the pick but the great return to give the offense tremendous field position and defensive backs you think don't have good hands the big fella shows it how about that defensive back going up and getting the interception nice job breaking on the football you say that's why you play defense cuz you don't have hands yeah I bet a this South Florida ready to send the offense back onto the field boy three out last time David they'd like to be more productive this time around yeah in the last Drive nothing really clicked no rhythm got off the field really really quickly they need to put something together here yeah David bad execution on that last drive so they got to take a collective breath and start playing like a unit on this one looking to go up top on first down catch in the middle it's Atkins he's brought down solid pick up but a little bit short of the first down here comes to hurry up [Music] second on the run it's Kei they get him on the ground but it's a first down not the most productive half for this offense so far but finally starting to get it in gear first and [Applause] 10 it's complete on the right side and the defense holds firm no pickup at all on that play yeah nice job by the defense that's what you're supposed to do as soon as they catch the football you want to limit that yards after the catch and he went nowhere after the catch that's time and a nice run there before the defense finally makes the [Applause] stop he's got it on the Move defense makes a stop but the chains move in it's first goal from the [Applause] USA Brown wants to pass he makes a grab goes out of bounds just short of the goal line and they'll be set up and in great position here trying to pound their way in and he takes it in for the score touchdown Bulls Precision block up front created the open Lane and the running back followed it beautifully yeah I it's pretty easy to follow an offensive line that makes those holes and just gives you a caravan all the way to the end zone what an unbelievable job blocking up [Applause] front and it's up and good as they draw Just a Touch closer we check in with Kevin Connors what's going on Kevin boys if it's happening in college football we've got eyes on it check this out Florida Atlantic has the lead right now but if this team has taught us anything over the years it's that no lead is safe there in vo rone they're up by seven over Army we've got our eye on this one and everything else going on throughout the day it thanks for the update on that one Kevin let us know when it goes finally and they'll finally bring him down after he rips off a huge play yeah defensively you better be ready to run east and west when you're playing against this offense in their running game that time the offense was able to outl the defense to the right side for a big play this offense has a second down play they'll ride the running back and leave it with him he's run out of bounds but not before turning in a big pickup and moving the sticks for a first down looking for space it's young and he does a really nice job finding open space and making a good gain before the stop is made from the gun the ground game rustled to the ground after picking up the first down Alabama with a first and 10 here to the air it's milro got the back over the middle and how about that catch and run so dangerous this guy on first down from the 13 yd [Applause] line see if they can get the edge on the Jet Sweep they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one operating in the Red Zone here on second down the back goes in motion the give from the gun pushes ahead for a pick up of one down to the 13 really need to pick up this conversion and avoid having to settle for the field goal on third down going up top into the end zone and he's got it touchdown Alabama one of the areas they really focused on with this receiver in the off season is we need you to make more play for us in the end zone when we're taking shots we need to be able to step up and make tough catches and David what a grab right there and I think a lot of that has to do with trusting your guy knowing where he's going to be knowing when he's going to sit down when he's not so being on the same page and then having a guy that can go get it just when the ball is near him he's going to make the play just like he did right there for six points and with the extra point there now up by a touchdown and a field goal at 10 the kickoff team out there set the boed [Applause] away and he takes this from inside the five he was was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the 18 South Florida has it back and the Bulls offense will return to the field using his legs it's Kei he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple the defit here is just 10 points David So a chance to answer here plenty of time left in this F no need to panic this offense just has to put a couple Drives together and listen the defense will get this back and get some stop fall and get and I think I think here too David you have an opportunity to keep the pressure on the opponent yeah they just went down and scored but you score here and this game still tight you keep their feet to the fire so an opportunity here to keep applying that pressure we reached the 2minute warning and this thing has been one-sided and they hope to at least have something to feel good about going into halftime C in the back field it's Keith they get him down after he makes the catch timeout called by the defense is their first of the half as they'll go to the sideline and try to make adjustments give to the running back really nice pickup there as they have it out to the 44 with a first down fo stops momentarily for the first down they'll hurry to the line trying to find his man on first down and he dropped it it looked for all the world like that would be a catch and he just got too excited they'll spread the defense out going five wide on second and 10 quarterback strolling away from heat on the run and he'll slide to avoid the hit a Nifty pick up there Indie Car tempo as they head to the line for this third down play clock running Brown will throw it he's got an open man and he was loosing in the open field and on his way a tremendous pick up on that one that big play has them in business first 10 inside the 20 they're looking to pass from the Red Zone they're trying to get to it good job to toss that ball out of bounds and avoid the loss they'll spread the defense out going five wide on second and 10 he's looking to throw it's complete gets it inside the five down to the four and it'll be first and goal a timeout is called as this off defense tries to find a way to get more points on the board before the half wants to go up top pins starts to collap and he got smacked just as he released the pass it's incomplete and they want this defense spread out across the width of the field five wide on second and takes it to the house touchdown South Florida and I tell you what that passing touchdown man that should spark this whole team like The Comeback is more more than on now like they got the touchdown they cut into the lead you want to get a stop and go into the half get all the juices all the excitement and be like listen the passing game's rolling we got this The Comebacks in full effect he'll try to tack on one more and the Pat will draw them one point closer they put it in the end zone with a 12 way scoring drive and they Capa the drive with a four yd touchdown pass he'll bring it back from inside is five he was hoping for something a little more Dynamic but they get him on the ground at the 20 the tied offense rolls onto the field they've got time they've got the lead and David is sort of like the doctor first Do no harm do you know harm but also momentum is hard to create and sometimes hard to stop you have it so how do anything SC creat some momentum for the other side I think a lot of this comes down to your quarterback and whether or not he's making good decisions in this game if yes be aggressive if not let's just take the lead into halftime and get ready for a second let's see what they've got on second [Applause] down after the incompletion back to the passing game fires into traffic it's picked off and they make the play and make sure there's not any scoring opportunity right here before the end of the half this is obviously not a great start for this quarterback here two interceptions already in this game he's got to do a much better job with his decision [Applause] Mak time dwindling away as they try to put points on the board right before the [Applause] half Brown wants to pass dumps it off in the flats they make the stop after the catch still some work to do to pick up that first down they'll use a timeout right before halftime maybe time for one or two more plays on second down he'll let it fly gets away but now he's swallowed up and he'll be knocked down for a loss on the trick play we've got a timeout in the waning seconds of the half maybe a chance to get off a couple more plays it's good he could have hit a string right in the middle of the uprights there and the field goal to end the half takes us to halftime [Music] we played two quarters here time to go to Kevin Connor in our halftime update gentlemen what else is new a spirited environment there in Tuscaloosa and a first half that's been dominated by this special teams unit how often do we say that but it's a dynamite group who understands football isn't just about offensive defense and what they've done through two quarters is helped tilt the scales of this game what a adjustments the other sides can make is going to go a long way in determining who wins this game and with that said let's send it back to the guys at Bryant Denny St the Bulls will kick it off to start the second half and they thought about a return and thought better of it they'll bring it out to the 25 South Florida ready to send the offense back onto the field fires to the middle tip ball put it up from grabs and I thought he had it but somehow it slithered through his fingers he'll keep it himself now after that run they're in pretty good shape at the 30 yd line and the Bulls headed quickly to the [Applause] line they'll Run play action Let it Fly it's caught you have out for the first down and they stop him at the 45 the Bulls come to the line with a fresh set of [Applause] downs off play action on first down getting some heat L getting set on second down quarterback on the keeper One Step WRA two-step squeeze this junior knows how to get him on the ground let's see what they find in the playbook for third and long from the 43 Brown will throw it looking to the big tight end and that ball is picked off didn't get a ton on the return but the most important thing he got the ball and they've got it at the 48 you've just seen in this game the ball has just gotten away from him a little bit a couple times just hasn't been able to put it where he wants to as a result that's now his second pick thrown in this [Music] game here comes that Alabama offense one of the most valuable things a quarterback can have David shortterm memory just forget that last pick you dang right clear the mechanism it's over mve it behind some players can't do that real well and it leads to more mistakes Jesse you got to just forget about it and move it I think the coaching staff can help him too David I think you can get the running game going here and also give him some easy throws and the defense is all over the quarterback and down he goes playaction pass success has a lot to do with selling that fake you could tell defense was not buying it got in the back field got the big [Applause] play they'll come to the line at the 42 facing a third and long looking to throw and he needs a chunk play got his man downfield hit the afterburners kid he's showing it all the juice the Jets the moves and he's got it down to the 16 yd line and the quarterback knew exactly where he wanted to go to the football had time spins the ball deep nice job by this offense understanding what the defense is giv them and creating the explosive [Applause] play he dialed up a beauty on that last one it got him inside the red zone now it's first and 10 from the 16 trying to cap this drive with the pass firing to the right complete just a quick Rhythm throw there and really good use of the tight end yeah good use of the big fell I mean go through your progressions real quick you can't find anything get the easy gain don't take a shot down the field all the time take those shots later but take those easy wideopen opportunities to get some positive Chains Got It touchdown Bama and that one will put him up here in the second half field shrinks tight end grows big targets big results I've never heard it put that way but you're dang right that guy is so big a lot of times you get a DB matched up on him he can just post him up a linebacker he can run by him so that's why these tight ends are so dangerous down here in this Red Zone getting set for the point after [Applause] and the extra point is true and they're on top by seven and let's check in with Kevin Conor in the studio Kevin all right guys a little update on what else is happening in college football this weekend ruter is currently ahead of this one the folks in Piscataway have been in a frenzy all week but they in the birthplace of college football this one is close they're up by seven over Aon we'll Circle back if anything big happens you should know about oh and how about that I know Kevin and those guys will be keeping an eye on it for us hand off from the gun still on his feet at the 45 open Runway ahead he's at the 10 and he'll finish the run in the end zone touchdown USF man I am a great play caller when I can hand it to guys like that and he can go that far to the house create big plays showed you a little bit of vision showed you a little bit of burners when he kicked it in gear and got the long touchdown [Music] [Applause] R ready to try the point after and the extra point was good no incident there and we are tied up in the third what a display of explosive capabilities on that drive 75 yds two plays and a touchdown here he comes from inside his own five really disciplined job by the coverage unit to get down there and make the stop at the 19 the tied offense rolls onto the field to the air it's milro swings it out to his running back really nice job there by both guys the throw and the catch to work that defense and get the first [Applause] down they'll leave it with him and he is stopped immediately by the big defensive lineman they got nothing on the last play it's second and 10 they'll move the running back to try to force the defense to adjust looking left and he is finding wide openen Defenders all over the field his third interception of the day and he's wrapped up after a solid return on the pick and another interception for the Crimson Tide and Bama has a few ball Hawks in this secondary he might be putting old hoody Ingram in the sights for his single season interception record with 10 and it's hard to find DBS that are going to catch the ball consistently when you get one it's a nice day but when you get two it's a great day you got a guy ball Hawking the football finding it creating big plays for this defense and the Bulls will hustle from the line and sometimes for the defense it just takes one play right to create some momentum obviously this guy's been heating him up he's got over 100 yards rushing on the D but finally David they get something positive here in the Run game defensively but you kind of know that coming in he's going to get his such a great back and he's had a great day you need to put more plays together like that right there down to the 16 Y Line it's first and [Applause] 10 caught in the back field it's single T touchdown rolls reeled it in and just made the house call us a score for the big fell here why are tight end so effective in the Red Zone well these aren't the guys that are going to burn by you and go for 70 most of the time but when you can use their big body frames threaten them to run the football and be a Blocker in the running game and now you slip in the secondary make that big play lining up to add another is on for the extra point and the extra point is true and they're on top by seven quick strike offense on that three playay scoring drive and they close the deal with a 16 yd throw for the touchdown he bring it out from inside his own 10 not a lot of space to be found good Hustle by the coverage team and they stop him at the 21 here comes that Alabama offense they'll run it from the gun bus his way forward found a little bit of running route knocked down at the 24 after a pick up of four after the productive first down play it's second and six looking to throw it's milro and the pass rush is effective and they tackle him at the 19 and it's been a long day for this offense if you can't protect your quarterback it's hard to be successful that's the fifth sack they have given up the offensive coordinator has no answers and this defense has been flying around you make up the game plan and not a lot on the play sheet for this third and long from inside their own 20 from the gun wants to pass nice defensive play to get a hand in there and knock it away Alabama will bring the punt team on the field this will be the second time they've had to kick it [Applause] away and the punt team able to sling him to the ground South Florida has it back and the Bulls offense will return to the field Jesse looking to take it down the field for backto back touchdown think it's really important for them moving forward too to have a lot of balance right you want to be able to keep this defense guessing yeah and you got me searching for answers after that last drive you stack another drive on top of this their defense's heads are going to be spinning all over the place wants to throw on first down got it behind the line it's Kei and this one will be stopped for no gain the Bulls want to pick up the tempo really good defense you know you're trying to stay as close as you can to all these targets and most importantly those open field tackles and getting them on the ground as soon as they catch it that's a major deal for defenses and that was a good example there and he's able to find a little bit of Running Room before they get him down they'll try to move the chains on the ground and the defense had its hands for but they finally wrestle him down short of the first down they decide against trying the 52 yd field goal instead the offense trying to convert a work from short and he's knocked down but not before moving the chain and the Bulls have their offense in high gear he'll do it himself got enough for the first down and wants more and he's brought down after a nice game the offense down to the 22 on First and 10 and that's First grab behind the line it's Simmons and a good job in coverage there as they stop it after just the Bulls are in the Red Zone looking to pass on second down and that is interception number three on the day and they capitalize not only on the pick but on the great return to improve this field position the defense has been all over this quarterback all game long it's almost as if they know where he's going to throw that now the Third interception he's [Music] thrown the tied offense holds onto the field they just didn't quite find the Rhythm on that last Drive Jesse they had to punt it I think they got to be more physical daveid I think up front they got to do a better job getting blocks and establishing this running and how easy does football become if you're the more physical team if you can threaten the run and then then run play action it opens up the whole offense in this SP that pass is incomplete and they might be fortunate it wasn't knock free for a fumble it'll be third down motion from the offense on third down he'll try to pick it up through the air and is knocked away and incomplete the defensive back staying in phase and batting it away looks as if the tide will punt it away [Applause] and that is textbook instructional video out of bounds right around the goal line out of the gun to give to the back couldn't find any way to get out of the end zone and they get him for a safety oh and how about this defense understanding where they are in the field they got a chance to put points on the board and [Music] so after that safety they'll kick it away from their own 20 he'll bring it back it's Hamilton returner is tackled down at here comes that Alabama offense David the punter got some work last time they'd like to keep him on the sidelines in this drive yeah it's not something you want to say very often you don't want the pun this offense needs to get that led up and get a little bit more a best way to do that identify where your best players are just get them the football give these guys some touches to Kickstart this offense and off from the shotgun that'll be a gain of about seven leaves him with third and three trying to pick up a first down they'll try to run for it he's Dro behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three the Crimson time will bring the punt team on the field he's getting a lot of work fourth time he's punted [Applause] tonight and the punt hits now the task is finished the deal as you take a look at the third quarter steps one more period to go to see who can make the winning play and come home with the victory they'll snap this one from the 30 on First and 10 from the gun the running back has it he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple and the Bulls want to move quickly and the defense is going to have to have more plays like that he has had a ball game so far running wild all day long defense and the defense gets to the quarterback and listen the quarterback drops back and he's going through his progressions but SE Zone but just couldn't do anything about it this defensive line this pressure getting to the quarterback getting him on the [Applause] [Music] [Applause] ground Here Comes This Home crowd as the defense tries to get off the field on third down Brown wants to pass and the defense gets R bringing the Heat and down he goes again the offensive line coach would be pulling his hair out his head coach is okay right now because they're winning the game but from an o line standpoint they've been atrocious in [Music] pass the Bulls line up to putt it away [Applause] he'll bring it back it's Adams returns like that or while you don't settle for the fair catch if you don't have to picks up just a little bit of yards to help out the O he'll pull it on the read and a good solid pick up there before the defense knocks him down and here comes the offense on second down second down wide receiver coming across in motion wants to fire on second down setting up the screen shakes off the tackle and the defense able to drag him down but not before they'll recycle that down marker used the play fake now to throw complete downfield and a nice grab with a Defender right on him and he's down at the 20 from the gun running back on the Move smashes him with the stiff arm huge game before he goes out of bounds and now they've got it first and goal so now the opportunity with a touchdown to take the lead a first down run on the doorstep he bullies his way all the way down to the 5 yd line now on second and goal he'll run it to the middle looking for the End Zone touchdown Crimson TI they've got the lead here in the fourth and this offense really showing their physicality running the football when it matters in the fourth quarter in crunch time to take the lead in this football game [Applause] leading by one they'll go ahead and go for two and try to make it a field goal game trying to pound it in into to the end zone the two-point conversion is good and now they're up by a field goal lining up to cover the kick after that touchdown drive on the run from inside his own five nice job by the kickoff team everybody stayed in their Lane and they'll stop him at the 16 South Florida ready to send the offense back onto the field that last Drive won't go on the Highlight Reel after ending in a punt they'd like to be more productive this time David and I think this offense has to be a little bit more balanced find a little balance between the Run Jesse and working in that pass and I think too David it's just going to take a spark it just takes one play to get this thing picked up and G they'll put the tight end in motion trying play action and down goes the quarterback there are penalty Flags down but it looks as if this might be on the offense they'll decline the penalty here and let the result of that play Stand they've got them PN deep in their own end In This Crowd trying to help keep them there find space on the right and the tackle is made but not before that completion gets them 30 plus and the blls in the hurry up well how about the offense setting that play up you've seen earlier in the game a couple shorter throws just trying to suck those safeties closer to the line of scrimmage anticipating that and there was nowhere to go for this quarterback and down he goes I think this quarterback now at this point is looking over the sideline saying hey can we just not throw it anymore my guys they can't block for it I've got no chance back here we need to just run the ball from this point out that's the last thing you want as an offense a negative play a sack on first down takes a hand off it's Keith and he has a solid gain before the defense bottles him up they line up with some serious work to do if they want to convert this one on Third and long trying to have a big completion here he's got him wide open and he's brought down after a huge completion the Bulls are flying down the field for the [Applause] off run in the Red Zone it's Kei and he finds Some solid space makes a nice game before the defense is able to stop it going to work in the Red Zone they can't pick up the first down without getting it into the end zone from the gun leaves it on the inside with the back can't quite cross the plane to get the six but they'll have the first down so the opportunity with a touchdown here to take a fourth quarter lead touchdown bulls and with that they move out front here in the fourth how nice is it to know man late in the ball game when I need it I can keep the football on the ground not get super conf complicated Pound The Rock get in the end zone and take the [Music] lead they'll try to add another to their lead and the extra point is good and every Point counts it's now a fourpoint lead in the fourth about to kick it away after scoring the touchdown 41 Alabama 37 looking for Block didn't find any crease in that kickoff C he'll be stopped at the 17 the tied offense rolls onto the field now they need to put something together to answer that last score there's a lot of pressure too on this offense to have to execute at a high level they've got to score points there but they can't go too fast cuz their defense right now is TI and I think that's the difficulty being a play call like I have to balance all of those things my defense is a little bit tired I can't put on the field but I got to be aggressive because this is a back and forth type game so a lot to process and think about it'll be a first and 10 from the [Applause] 29 grabbed behind the line it's Miller a seven yd pickup it'll be second and three got a little work done on first down now back to the line on second down looking to throw grab near the marker it's printis he steps out of bounds but he's got enough for a first down a new set of downs after the completion from the gun the running back tries to hit the hole and maybe he'll get back to the line of scrimmage but no more than that got stuffed on first down it's second and 10 looking downfield it's milro pressure coming he looks that one in nicely and he'll make his way out of bounds after the solid pickup now trying to keep this drive alive on Third and long from the 45 from the gun wants to pass fires to the big fella they convert on third down as he gets it to the 46 yd line the tide with the first and 10 caught behind the line it's Bernard and he was fortunate not to lose yardage on that play able to wedge it back back to the line of scrimmage on the play brings up second down he wants to pass it on second down got his man and the defense makes the immediate tackle but he has enough for the first down we reached the two-minute warning and the defense needs to come up with a stop to close this thing out got it in the middle it's prentis quick timeout called by the offense after the play trying to preserve every minute possible all the way down down to the 15 yd line it's first down the offense showing motion from the tight end trying to get a read on the D leaves it with the running back he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three got some work to do on second down after that last one they need 13 makes the catch and he was straining for the goal line but the defense stopped him short and if they want to take the lead can't be thinking field goal here they'll need a touchdown to go up in the fourth turning to the running game on first and goal touchdown tie they move on top here in the fourth man I love this offense being able to run the football late in the game when it matters and punch it in for the touchdown and more importantly Take the Lead [Applause] if he makes this one the lead will be three and at least a field goal won't beat you and it's good and he pushes the lead to three let's go to the studio now and check in with Kevin Connor Kevin what do you got all right guys a little update on what else is happening in college football this weekend Southern Miss is currently a big right now in a game they'll be talking about in had he birth for some time they're up 14 over the f hand we'll Circle back if anything big happens you should know about it and how about that one Kevin will be keeping an eye on everything going on elsewhere still at their own 20 after that last incompletion it's second and 10 Brown will throw it he wants a big play here Lake and it's incomplete going for return on the interception it's such a fine line offensively late in the game youve got to score you got to make big plays but you can't turn the football over big time mistake this one might cost me [Music] here comes that Alabama offense and they come out with a field goal lead defense just got a stop now to capitalize David yeah keep the momentum going right defense did a great job they held serve got you the football back Jesse let's go get some points I'm curious to see how they're going to do this are they going to be aggressive after the defense got the Stop and take a shot or they're going to try to be more conservative here and bleed the clock really nice stop stop there from this senior leader time out called there by the defense desperate to get the ball back and save as much time as possible they line up and it is a long way to the sticks from here third and long and he'll try to throw for it and he'll take this into the end zone but hang on just a second flag down let's see what this is about just a crushing mistake on the penalty w wipes out the touchdown and now they'll have to try to get it together and score again he'll keep it himself he has the first and still on his feet defense uses the timeout quickly trying to get that ball back and preserve time for their offense and as they come to the line they have the lead and they have the clock on their side first and goal it's one thing to execute early in the game TI ball game right at the end you need the clutch plays these guys deliver and you can't teach that Gene you have people that that can focus in the moment or they can't great job by the team staying focused understanding it's a close battle win those one play at a time and then look up and then heck I got the win yeah David they just had ice in their veins and you can tell there's tremendous leadership on this football team guys can step up and in the Huddle they can make sure that everybody else is focused to the task at hand in
