Aiming for Level Cap and the Campaign

hello hello come on you let's check our settings make sure it's all good all right how y'all are why is everybody streaming right now why all righty we're going to put in a few hours playing some wow maybe a little bit less I don't know and then we're going to go cause Shenanigans okay one thing I will point out uh my main is level 79 so she is one level away from a level cap I haven't even touched any of the other ones so she has as of last night completed the campaign for this current um I wouldn't say expansion because it's basically this particular patch the first story in the war within so let's get logged in and see where we are so tonight the goal is going to be unlocking the earn Allied race and then we're going to see how long that's going to take now one thing I am aware is that unlocking the Allied race isn't simply oh hey you do this and you do that that um it's actually I did a whole series of Quick videos of um unlocking Heritage armor for various uh for various races and a lot of them were like as long as you got a character of that race to the level cap then or to level 50 then you can just do the Heritage Quest oops sorry and the Heritage Quest is like really simple it's like you go talk to somebody and they give you your armor pretty much um so we shall see what we got here oh my goodness it's been a long day already today so I'm going to pull up Wowhead because I will need to look into how we start this cuz that's one thing I noticed last night is I got the big popup that said oh my God you can unlock you can unlock Earth now um and it didn't tell me how at least I don't remember that it told me how so it was a little bit confused so that's what we're going to do is we're going to try to figure this out um I am going to um I I just lost that train of thought really badly um we're going to figure out how we're going to do this um so what I'm going to do is I'm going to wow head over here here over Yonder and I'm going to pull up the tab for the war within Ally Earth and Allied race and it says here to unlock the Earth and as an Allied race you must complete the war within level up campaign and several Quest chains related to the race these quests are identified with a small Earth and Allied race icon kind of looks like a hammer um just above where players normally see Quest rewards on on the quest screen okay but that's when you're actually looking at the quest dialogue box so for example if I go look at this Quest dialogue box it doesn't have the thing here um this one doesn't have the thing there this one doesn't have the thing there so how so my question is how without reading something out of game to figure this out which is what I'm doing how does the game tell you how to begin this adventure like I remember the splash screen let me see if I can find a copy of that splash screen um campaign complete wow um splash screen I don't know if anybody took a I didn't actually take a screenshot of it so let me see if this Icy Veins uh article has okay let me I'm going to steal their I'm going to steal their image actually I'm just going to link the thing so yeah whatever so basically you you see a splash image that says campaign complete and then adds Earth and Allied race quests available and it says complete the achievement and this is a placeholder obviously because this was posted ages ago uh and then it's like world quests and events unlocked and then it shows the world quest World quest icon which kind of looks like a a four bladed um shuriken um and then Adventure Mode unlocked which means any future characters you bring into war within doesn't have to follow the main story sequence you can just go questing wherever the hell you want to so what I'm looking for here are Quest icons I mean these are all just World quests that one requires me to be level 80 I'm not I am one and a half bubbles into level 79 into 80 so um I take handle I like that cosmetic so I would assume or imagine that the Earth quests would have some icon here so let me check my filters yeah the only things I have filtered are I have pretty much nothing filtered um just pet battles cuz I don't really care about pet battles and warben completed quests I mean I could turn those on and it's not really because I haven't done any characters throughout here so there's nothing in the game to tell you where to go to unlock the Earth in unless I'm missing something entirely so we're within reach level 80 to continue the C I think what I need to do um at least for the campaign because I know there's some stuff that I'm missing from the campaign as I need to get level 80 but that should not prevent you from starting the earn unlock okay so the achievement Allied races Earth and list of requirements to unlock the Allied race so we're going to go look at our achievement panel okay and you have to actually go look for it's not even the first damn one that shows up okay so all it does is it tells you you have to go here to find out and it says okay you've got to complete the war within story lines listed below okay so the game actually lied to you okay the campaign complete thing says you're you're ready to unlock the the Allied races the Allied race but here it says that I'm not done with a campaign and I imagine that's because because I'm not level 80 um but then you have the campaign and then you've got these three Quest chains that you have to do to unlock that so I think that's what we're going to do that's what we're going to focus on today is let's grind out that uh to level 80 and then we'll do the three Quest chains um I think they really what they really need to do here to be very very clear is make sure cuz what the game does is the game says hey you finished the main story sequence I got the popup message but the popup message actually says something wrong the popup says when you get the camp it told me my campaign was complete and that my Allied races quests were available but here it says my campaign is not complete so pick one so that's it's it's unfortunately part of how blizzard has been doing with this uh with this expansion particularly you can feel you can see how different the quality has been for this expansion like things are missing things are not up to the sort of quality that they normally have so theoretically according to this okay so it says you have to end you have to complete the quest return to dornal which I have done but you have to read the Wowhead article basically nothing until I looked at the Wowhead article said that I had to be at max level so let me take a look at that sub achieve achievement War within campaign there isn't even anything that you can click on to tell you what you're missing so this is a fail on Blizzard's part and I'm going to stop bitching about it we're actually just going to start in on the questing all right so I need to go level up and have a a couple of different choices here um I think I'm going to try to do some World quests um might as well go do this one so I can uh get a cosmetic appearance while I'm at it one thing is uh in my questing I picked up an item that actually really like a lot it's called The Cursed pix pickaxe so if this item is in your bags equipped or used for transmog you will occasionally be consumed by the curse which I turn into this really cool person who looks a little bit evil covered in blue things so I just I just leave it in my bag I'm not even using the damn thing crystalized Iron Claw I am also spending some time uh farming stuff and these are Elites so screw that I I can fight Elites I just don't feel like it I'm here to level uh and I want to actually get quest to level rather than just running around killing mobs okay more Titan artifacts will you have a goat bring me some samples I'd love to go with you but I'm a little busy here I like dakan he's a little cinnamon roll i a i scer i see a Scamper Kitty too away oh we're picking on murlocs are we well I'm always down for that wait does this mlock is that a murlock surfboard for real it looks like a murloc surfboard that's funny actually collect that wasn't there just one behind me though yeah it is I didn't pick it up going to go back and get it so I think that's really something blizz needs to look at is the notion of the fact that you had to look outside the game to find this information out okay I didn't mean to hit that button so that's fun okay give me that I need to closer you like that pretty plant but I'm not an on an herbalist right now so I can't pick it up one thing I was thinking about doing with the war within is maybe make my front running character the there be the ones who does like all my crafting gathering at least you know have them be like the minor slash um herbalist for example it's too far away it's too far away fine a little jerk we're going to hop down and get that uh bismo there one thing I really do enjoy about this game though is Sky riding it is so perfect it's just so good this is something where they didn't skimp on the technique or about any of it all right okay well I didn't intend that to work but hey it worked thank you for the samples champion okay this will greatly Advance our knowledge of the Titans and their technology oh that one had bonus XP on it nice all right let's go look for another one to do you know take candle um again we'll do this one because basically I'm doing stuff for the Cosmetics more than anything else and the XP so let's do the ones for the Cosmetics here and then we'll go to a different area and do the ones there I want to look for whoever is doing this hi deactivation that's not sus or anything hello I heard that yeah some of these um big shiny boxes are a little odd honestly oh my begs are a disaster don't anybody tell Josh Keaton my my things are a disaster okay let's see where's the glyph up there of course it's up there the glyphs have been actually in weird spots in this expansion some of them have like on top of things like that uh and some of them have been down in like like in between an Airship and its dock for one hello so this game has trained me to always click on the purple things it's another purple thing yay I don't know what I just did there's another purple thing some of them will pop enemies out to fight you like this one hello okay little extra goody goodies so we're now two full bubbles into our little adventure oh man there's a lot of clicky clicky purple clicky things here hello did I just get an enchantment formula oh by the way this is also an upgrade hello I can't even see where that scroll went oh here it is no that's not it I don't know my bags are a disaster so one thing I would like to point out is I did indeed buy the bear off the store however I will point out I had blizzard bucks on my account so I haven't paid any new real money to buy this so it's like I like it because it's cute it's adorable uh it's not as versatile as the big Yak Mount that you can earn for free in the game but I find the the the lower prop f is actually kind of nice um I do need to clean out my bags like whoa I'm going to do that at some point but not right now we're on a mission from God as it were all right let's go to that Quest I was wait I think what I should just come on come on game stop being a butt I think I would have just been running around picking up the Disturbed Earth all the time so we're going to avoid that we're going to go and do the quest that we're here to do I'm here to oh hello bad bad guy bad guy hello who's here War porn hi War porn look at you you're pretty you're about to die man oh man you are dead as well got a chest piece and is that chest piece better than the one I have now yes it is all right bear fix me up cuz one thing you have to do with this expans ition is you must always be on top of your MOG if you let your MOG lapse and then you suddenly in a cut scene yeah I always check your MOG before you click on any new Quest every single time because you'll be in a cutscene and your character is in it and it's going to be embarrassing because you were not a properly attired all right let's go over here okay and again that's one thing I actually don't like is I hate the fact that when I'm using my profession gear that actually changes my mogs like stop doing that [ __ ] okay let's go find this world quest we're going to do Doral is pretty I'm not going to lie it's very pretty oh no we're going to the fall of of of dalaran that's a lightning Mountain oh KY doie oh [ __ ] World boss the ruins of Doon hold more than just debris they conceal invaluable Arcane some fighting our mission is to retrieve them before they're lost to history oh man I missed out unre the fall of Doon shattered countless Irreplaceable artifacts of immense power it is our duty to preserve what we can okay I'm a little bit sad that they beat that guy down so much oh no it's one of these okay well this one was easy oh um that one was also easy oh this one going be fun okay um well done yay we did the thing your efforts have brought us one step closer to securing the crash site and doon's Legacy all right get rid of that okay let's go look at our next thing where's level 80 okay I think I'm going to actually go down the corway now we're going to go down to the next area down and go CA some through I can unlock the third mining specialization hell yeah it's going to fall in the water here in a minute um I want to look at kind of think I should get that one because those are those can be pretty nasty not going to lie why go it's actually kind of fun trying to like you're on your flying Mount uh and you're like I need I'm in the water and then you have to basically figure it out from there so let's fly down the corway it's actually quite fun and how do you fly down the corway like this I really do love the the the World building of this expansion the the environmental art team was really really good all right so let's go find World quests down here I do need to actually talk to um yeah I need to talk to what to face basically I'm looking for the the quests that have like the 23,000 uh one so let's start with this that's actually a regular Quest we got to go talk to m midd no ask where I got it okay so that's one way to get some good uh leveling somewh pinky it's not junk I find more stuff for you I thought I showed him though bring back more shiny things oh um okay buy that someone picky a wax carving of a candle but but why ask where I got it bring back more shiny things so there's a wax statue of dagger in here okay so now I can buy things once I get the things a wax Field Box jles with coins resonant crystals um there's a toy oh I can't pet size candle that's adorable um so basically crafting mats interesting uh I'm going to sell all junk items yes I find more stuff for you I need a Target why did I just do that I don't know okay what what quest have you got for me iung got food find more shinies no we're not doing those okay let's go find A world quest to do so this one we don't want to do this one we don't that one we do that one we don't uh let's thing of dynamite is all I need I think what I'll probably wind up doing is basically doing like a instream intro when I get to the part where I'm actually going to be um opening up the thing cuz I'm going to have to get to level 80 first and I feel kind of bad that folks have to wait to watch me get to level 80 before we unlock the Earth and race now to be fair um to kill some brutes let's go find some brutes to murderize there's one up there I don't have tar all right so what I'll probably wind up doing is like pausing for a moment saying something you know here's what we're doing blah blah blah um and then just upload that segment of the stream to YouTube as its own separate team which is what I originally had planned uh to do was to make the stream do the whole thing but a lot of this is filling in Z blank all right we completed that so we're half there W Leaving On A Prayer let's go see where we're going next next World quest that gives me I don't know what that is there's the what army Quest you and what army World quest um we can go check that one out and then head over to this other one to see what that's all about hello what is here hi the guardian of the river all right I got hardly any ex well no I did get yeah I got hardly anything out of that other than uh rep but it's a rare down let's get back to where we're supposed to be going over this way and ringing Lees I again I really love the environmental anime uh not animations with the environmentals for this is really really good another outbreak of violence time to stand up and shut this down I know there are some folks who are like really cranky about the Earth and voice acting they felt that it should be more animated and I'm like what are the Earth in and I have to wonder it's like okay what are the Earth in what are they all about Those ads are was really murdering here but we're going to get them all there we go got them all again didn't get much X P4 but it's also about uh what was that slow and slay oh that's you well okay I think you're supposed to take this hammer and hit him with it need now that we're done we can all move on to our next agend expressing gratitude friends okay yeah but there are definitely some people who are not huge fans of the voice acting for the Earth in saying that they don't sound like like they didn't I guess they had some idea in their head as to what the Earth in should sound like and they don't I think about the only thing that I'm thinking of is like the Earth in that we've seen in other areas I need to drop here um oh hi you I I guess I think people wanted them to sound like the uh the Rune dudes up in northr I can kind of see that to be fair um where is the thing I'm looking for it's beneath me is there a cave down here feels like there should be a cave down below but there's no cave here so uh I don't know I don't know I don't know okay where's that world Quest that we're supposed to oh it's over here Follow the arrow Druid Disaster up at some point okay repair our gear while we're here and let's fix our MOG I don't know what's happened but it used to be when I started doing MOG after MOG after MOG it would always remember the name up here and then I could just click apply and it would update my MOG back to what it was but it doesn't do that anymore and I'm not sure why well now I can get that thing out of there so cuz I that's that's to me that's a courteous thing um is that you just don't leave crap around like that all right let's let's let's let's focus on getting what we're here for let's do the quest let's disrupt these guys I think I'll probably wind up doing the other one because I'm already here I need to get closer almost there almost there it's too far away all right got that good good as good at scratching ASO almost to goodness I do like the voice acting for the Cobalts here though I will admit my favorite cobal voice actor is Cindy Robinson so she of of uh DDO Fame it's a nice little fishing spot too okay let's get back to it it's actually no we're not going to stop there we're going to find someplace safe to park for just a second we go look for our next adventure um 1160 uh 11 whatevers um um I did want to actually go see what that was about real quick one of the downsides this game really has is it's really bad for those of us who have attention issues it's like there's too much stuff to do then you get sidetracked by this that and the other shinies those are pretty okay what's the weekly here are you the one doing the weekly make it quick we're busy no need something to do you go wherever you please me look at that again yeah it's like I need something with the big XPS I think the weekly person yeah they're not inside yeah you're the one hope you brought actually clear bags right okay I'm actually going to not save random greens because I got so many things just by doing Quest that I don't really feel like I need to save greens for alts all right that being said we're going that way okay that one's lit the lamp lighters are stretched thin for the to survive we must settle in lands shadowed from badar's light the darkness strikes out with threats her people and then what happened is in the present time 40 years later we get summoned back to um danor and we find the magar Orcs being exterminated in a genocide led by the very self-same urel who in the interim in a completely unearned fashion blizzard decided she had become a religious zealot uh and was basically doing ethnic cleansing on dror I know a lot of people are pissed off about it because this was a very it was so if it would been if it had been earned in some way I would have hated it because urel was such a favorite character but we could have least seen the the procession
