excited man we had football last night it was a lot going Zone and it was phenomenal I enjoyed it I got up in my theater room I sat on one of them big ass sofas I got up there and I just watched the Ravens and the Chiefs put on the show Lamar Jackson Patrick Mahomes we going to get to a lot in the show today I hope y'all enjoyed the first episode like I said then like subscribe follow you can my family tell me this is swagu episode two we get into some football we F to have some real talk and we also about to talk about some things that can't happen while I'm on this road tap in family we [Music] back yo did y'all see that game last night Recapping the Chiefs-Ravens season opener because I did first my daughter had a volleyball game last night so I had to do double duty I went to the volleyball game Real Talk they played a school called hocky day my daughter plays for impression wood Christian uh school and they went to four sets now if you're not familiar with volleyball they weren't supposed to go to four sets and the reason why that's important is because they weren't supposed to lose a set in the game so I could get back home to watch the Ravens Chiefs and I wouldn't miss a play but unfortunately they decided to go to four sets so guess what I did y'all bad parenting alert I left I knew they were GNA win the game the match but I had to go I couldn't miss the opening kickoff of the 224 2025 season with the Ravens and Chiefs I'm serious about it and it's my job I knew I was gonna have to come here and analyze it so let's get to it Lamar Jackson Patrick Mahomes you were what you were what you were supposed to be okay we love quarterbacks we love quarterbacks on this podcast we going to talk about them when they play bad but we love them and them two put on the show last night this looked like a playoff game this looked like just when they met a a few months ago in the AFC Championship it was that intense it came down to a toe being out with the potential Ty touchdown to go into overtime when you have loved that I would have it was playmaking going on all over the field Xavier worthy the wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs he ran a 4-2 in the combine y'all guess what it did it translated we saw him we saw the speed from him on that first reverse for the touchdown I don't know how in the hell he got so wide open in the secondary against the Ravens but I guess when you run that fast sometimes you invisible because he had to be in order for him to be that wide open I know it was a busted coverage for all you football afficionados but anyway the young rookie had a day he put his St on the Kansas City Chiefs listen I said it when they when they drafted him and I'll say it right here again he may win Rookie of the Year a lot of it has to do with his talent a lot of it has to do with his situation and his circumstances and we know how important situations and circumstances are in life so in Xavier Worthy's life the wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs he may end up being rookie of the year because he in the right situation and he has the right circumstances and on the other side Lamar is Lamar man Lamar is phenomenal he had to use his legs last night he had to pull it he had to pull a lot of tricks out of his bag to get away from the rush he had to make sure he was pushing the ball down field he missed some throws he had some miscommunication with some wide receivers but it happens throughout the duration of a game he put the ball in a perfect spot for for likely his tight in the catch likely wore an 11 and a half shoe instead of an 11 and that was the difference it's a game of inches we tell you all the time but what what what what last night really reminded me of is not only how much talent was on that field with Travis Kelce and tell Swift being in the building and them setting it off and you know you got Taro up there calling the game him and Collinsworth it was phenomenal it was a beautiful night for football and the NFL got to figur it out man I'm just tell tell y'all I they listen I'm blessed to cover this game I'm in an era now where it is booming and blowing up and it's all over the world we about to play an international game we gonna get into that the NFL got to figure it out it was a Thursday night last night y'all it's Thursday night Thursday night football is here and it's here to stay and when you put matchups like that on people gonna stay they gonna have a good time I was just thinking that the whole time I had so much interaction going on on X it was Instagram people just I mean just exploding it's like I've said it and I'mma keep saying it until I'm no longer here NFL football and also college football it's a six-month holiday you can legit every weekend get your people together party put some food on the grill and watch games and the the the star power and the ability in the NFL right now you will be entertained are you not entertained Gladiator Gladiator 2 coming out too I saw you Meg stallion on that commercial too don't think I ain't see you I saw you I saw you with Justin Jefferson and uh Travis Kelsey I saw you I saw you Josh Allen I saw you on there that was tough that was tough I enjoyed the commercials as well but we got a great game y'all P City Chiefs Baltimore Ravens phenomenal game I appreciate you fellas for putting that beautiful display of football on swagu enjoyed it I'm sure the world enjoyed it now we on to the [Music] next NFL got it figured out they gonna figure it out again it's Swagu is pumped for Eagles vs. Packers in Brazil Friday I listen to a song by artist called Sir Charles Jones if you ain't never heard of him go go listen to it he got a song call is Friday everybody let that become your theme song when it turns Friday cuz it's a beautiful day it's a beautiful day outside the sun is out I told y'all on ep1 it was gloomy it's Sunday today I'm getting outside we outside everybody I want everybody outside when you get off work when you get off early if it's casual Friday at the job man enjoy yourself talk to your colleague talk to your co-workers but when you get off let's go enjoy Friday I know what I'm going be doing I'm probably pull me a little glass get ready for Philadelphia Eagles against the Green Bay Packers it's a lot of it's a lot of story lines in this one it's a lot going on but more importantly they in Brazil they in Brazil so I feel like it's festive I feel like we should uh have have have something in our hand now if you don't drink get you some water damn it if you don't drink get you some juice lemonade sweet tea I don't know what you want to get but get some I know I'm going to have a glass of that small Yak that's conac for all of y'all that don't know what Yak is I'mma introduce y'all to that and that's what I'mma say for conac as we go forward I'mma have a small glass of that yak and I'mma watch the Philadelphia Eagles I don't know what I'mma eat yet that's still TBD but it'll be beautiful it'll be good but more importantly this game is about to be played in Brazil and coming off of what we got last night I expect a high level of football all right Jordan love jayen Herz Philadelphia Eagles trying to bounce back Green Bay the New Orleans in the NFL everybody got these high expectations for them we gonna see what they gonna do in South America the reason why I'm excited for this game more than anything though is because these two quarterbacks right now feel like they on the opposite end of the spectrum remember two years ago when we were talking about Jaylen HZ and how phenomenal he was he was on his way tracking towards the MVP team going to the Super Bowl it was Philly was popping Philly was the was The Darlings of the league Jaylen Herz was a second round pick wasn't even supposed to be starting and in his second year they go to the NFL they go to the Super Bowl and then on the other side we got Jo and lovees who had to sit and wait until Aaron Rogers deci decied what he was going to do and now he he got his opportunity last year started off a little bumpy as to be expected for a player playing for the first time a quarterback and Green Bay playing for the first time that type of pressure but y'all towards the end of that season my man went crazy to the he went so crazy they gave him 200 Mill because he went crazy and we gonna see if he can continue that we gonna see if Jaylen Herz can bounce back from a year last year where with some turmoil it was some things going on throughout the organization in the facility him and his head coach wasn't on the same P we're GNA see but more importantly we get a football game where we can see instead of talking about it I tell y'all one thing about the offseason okay I enjoyed off season you could you could play with story lines you could talk about things that transpiring do talk about things that other players are doing what teams are doing what decisions you think they should make coming into the season now we get in between the lines and that's the only thing that matters Green Bay Philly tonight in Brazil glass of yak some good know you got Friday Night Lights in high school I know you got all of that type of stuff going on multitask that's the world we live in now before I have that glass of yak I might actually go watch a about Green Bay and Philly I can't help but think about yeah there's there are games on Sunday and Looking ahead to Monday Night Football when the Jets face the 49ers everybody's going to enjoy them but y'all I'm telling you I'm getting Juiced about Monday night football I'm excited man I'm excited look at my shoulders this is what people do when they excited because I'm excited I feel like a little kid man I'm telling you this life I'm living is crazy never in a million years would I have thought that I would be on Monday night count down Monday night countdown it's a staple I used to watch it when I was little used to watch it growing up used to watch it when I was in the league now I'm sitting on the desk before Joe Buck and Troy amegan comes on to actually call a game wow it's wild times wild times in swaggle life but don't don't don't don't you think for one minute that I take it for granted man I'm appreciative all right it's a it's it's it's got to be you guys out there showing love and watching to make sure that we can keep doing this and I have felt it family so I appreciate you but again this pinched me every time I'm up there we get to those stadiums like I I get there on Sunday sometimes because I want to kind of get into the atmosphere some Mondays I fly out in the morning um to get to the game because if it's real late I know sometimes they're playing with fire because you can have some travel issues but you know we roll a dice um but I get in on Sunday so I can relax we in some great cities as well and I just get into this mode like I'm about to play for some reason and I thought it was weird at first because I was like yo I don't why does it feel like I need to have all this intensity and I need to get to bed at a certain I don't need to do that I could actually going back to what I was saying have a glass of yak on Sunday night because I don't really start Monday night countdown till late I be bounce back by the end I been got work out I'm working out too by the way we're gonna get to that um but it just feels right getting in a day early for some preparation it feels right being around my cooworker because it feels right talking to scottt van peld and talking to Jason Kelsey and my brother RC about what we going to do how we going how we going to get it popping seeing the crew there seeing all of the production the trucks the ESPN trucks everybody under the stadium walking in with a suit on like feeling like you just about to do it man it remind me so much of getting ready for a game so that's why I get excited that's I love my job man like we all humans sometimes I wake up I'm like oh I'm tired but when I get there it's it's just this energy it's this explosion of energy I want to entertain you guys I want to have a good time I want to enjoy with my with my castmates my family up on stage I want to enjoy with the people that you can't see that's not in front of the camera that's really doing all of the hard work to get us ready to have us looking right I just want to have a good time y'all we got enough going on and I'm going get to some of that stuff just want to have a good time and I know that it's not realistic all the time cuz sometime we got to deal with life but when it comes to Monday night countdown for me I'm gonna have a good time and then when we sitting in that stadium and the players start coming out and the fans start screaming and some mad some happy some saying swagu what up some saying swag you was so wrong you don't like our team it's all love man it's all love I just get excited and we got nothing better we got the New York Jets versus the San Francisco 49ers in San Francisco on Monday night it don't get no better I know I didn't said story lines before but it felt like story lines is goingon to be like a common theme for me when we talking about football because there so many storyline four time MVP Aaron roders going to San Francisco he from California with the New York Jets as his team who last year we saw I don't know two three minutes into the game maybe even shorter than that ter his Achilles a season of Rehab back on the field expectations for the Jets is through the roof going to San Francisco the San Francisco 49ers been to NFC championships and Super Bowls here recently they have been the dominant team in the NFC as a whole over like the last five years six years however long playing at home Brock P their quarterback a lot of conversation revolving around him last year is he really like that or is it KY Shanahan offense because KY Shanahan offense make a lot of people look good n Brock perter the truth I'mma have to go and give it up man Brock perter can play but I don't know if y'all ever heard this but this is a saying that goes throughout NFL locker rooms and NFL conversations this is a what have you done for me lately leave so Brock Pur got to keep going but think about the think about the opposite of the quarter one quarterback 157 years old another quarterback 14 years old Aon Rogers 157 years old BR py 14 years old they about to play against each other one got all one got all the experience in the world one has played at the highest level one is a Super Bowl champion and Aaron Rogers Brock pry has been to a Super Bowl had a had a run and his story is so phenomenal because he wasn't a first round draft pick he wasn't a high draft pick man played his way into being the starting quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers and now is going to get paid it's a beautiful thing man you see the you see the you see the you know you see how you see how it could change from here and then you could be here and then you go from here to here based on your work ethic and how you perform Brock Pur ain't nobody think Brock Pur was gonna be this y'all didn't either you know I didn't Brock PR is that and we know what Aaron Rogers is Debo Samuel San Francisco Trent Williams got his deal done he back in the fold he in the building Brandon a got his deal done ain't it funny how these things just seem to come together when real football about to start it seemed like the front office like okay all right that's enough we got to get it done the New York Jets new revamped offensive line lot of Veteran presence on that team wide receiver Garr Wilson supposed to be a young Buton star he's supposed to take off with Aaron Rogers even though he's playing well already Bree Hall the running back supposed to be a top five top three back in the league we gonna see this year this defense for the New York Jets is really why we think they're Super Bowl contenders led by Robert Salah matter of fact speaking of Robert Salah the head coach for the New York J hey man you don't win this year this swag podcast going to have a different conversation about you unfortunately you got to go you got to go win big I'm talking about like second I ain't gonna say second round of playoff you probably got to go to AFC Championship it Swagu’s airport pet peeves popping yo I'm about to do a list of swago pet peeves when we get to the airport very important y'all listen up first of all get your ass out the way of the boarding area I don't understand it g to get on the plane I fly first class because I'm big and I need the space and this ain't got nothing to do with first class ain't got nothing to do with that group nine group 100 n they be standing at the front and then when when group one two three four five six seven walk up and say excuse me they act like they they act like we are the problem no you standing your ass in the middle of the boarding Lane he pissing me off man all the time and then I just listen if you're elderly and you need to be close and you're trying to stay out the way I'm with that if you got if you got something going on where it's gonna take you more time to walk from a area to board I'm with that man I'm telling you right now it's like a y'all know what I'm talking about I know that's why that's why some of y'all laughing I know some of y'all like sway you so right they form a circle look at my hands a circle around the line where you got a enter to go to the priority side or go to the boarding side and when you say excuse me them people take a half a inch step to the right they just move they bag and then you be bumping into them and they they look at you like you crazy now I'm big now I could start playing football in the damn airport get your ass out the way man the other thing is this man there are times when swagu is available and I'mma chop it up with you and I try man I swear I try I try to be Quadro and nice with people sometimes it get out of hand people be doing too much but for the most part when I'm when when when when I'm available man when it's when we when we vibing and we it's that type of man come up and holl at your boy man say what's up I ain't got 10 15 minutes but I think everybody you know I try to make everybody feel like you know they they they important and they they have worth and value that's big to me making sure that you don't feel shunned by me I'm just asking raise my hand I'm just asking when I'm with my family give your boy just let your boy just throw your boy some Deuces and be like what's happening and keep it mov the other one is this when we going through TSA could you like hurry a little bit like just a just speed up a little bit like and I'm not telling you speed up because people late if they late that's on them I'm just saying the courtesy of go get get your stuff up there man if you need some help and I'm behind you I got muscles I can help you pick your bag up I do it any way for PE for when I see people that's struggling but for all of us able boded people can we pay attention to how slow we going Sunday travel is phenomenal I get there off house when you try to do them Monday mornings man oh my God all hell break loose in that damn airport it be people in the way be people going slow at the TSA I mean it's just even when you pull up in the car man they it they got particular Lanes where car supposed to continuously going they got people that stop there and let people out get their bags out just hold up all the traffic I just know I'm about to be back in these airports I'm about to travel I just told y'all how excited I get for Monday night countdown y'all be in that M like y'all playing defense don't don't make me start playing some offense some Derk Henry offense I got to address something that Swagu’s message after a tough week happened this past week that could have been far worse than the outcome and thank God Rick and P saw the wide receiver from San Francisco 49ers are fine it's fine just a unfortunate situation bad situation and I'm glad the young man didn't lose his life but I also saw Debo Samuel go on I believe his IG live and make a statement that I felt like was Debo is like a little brother to me I know him but he made a statement that was that was that was very important man and I know we live in the age of the of the of the phone of the camera phone I know we live in the age of you know everybody feeling like they should have access to everybody at all times I didn't grow let let me say this I got a 17 a 15 and a 11 year old and they growing up in a completely different generation than I did and I get that I get I get young people how y'all operating out here but I think y'all need to just be a little bit more guarded I'mma try to say this without sounding like a old man cuz Debo sparked this he made a state let me give y'all the gist St it Debo went on his IG live and pretty much said the camera phones when you are videoing people or celebrities or people out in public is dangerous because it lets a lot of people know the location of these people of these athletes of these uh stars of these people of Public public figures are influenced and we get it just like I was talking about in the airport we get it man like it's exciting when I was young we had we didn't have access to to to stars like that we didn't have Instagram where we could follow their stories and then when we see them in person we feel like we know them personally we did we wern't able to do that so when we saw a superstar it was like pandemonium because you didn't have the type of visual access to them now with the camera phones and when people going in places in public you pick up your phone the video I just want y'all to be conscious that when you do that your followers the people that's looking at these feeds they all know the location of that person and let's be real with each other everybody don't mean you good my grandfather used to say that my grandmother used to say that everybody don't mean you good so it's very poignant what he said I just want people to be conscious of that and I'm not I'm not blaming Young Folks because it's older folks of Our Generation too doing it that done fell to it um but just be conscious of that man when you putting when you putting people up publicly about where they at and sharing location and doing all of that man it's some tragic stuff that didn't happen from that and I'm with Debo 100% thought it was a great Point coming off the heels of one of his teammates getting shot in the chest show whatever but thank God the young fell good man and he gonna make a full recovery he'll make a full physical recovery y'all but think about the the mental like anguish and the things that he gonna have to deal with going forward like those are the that's the ramifications of it we got to really really pay attention to what's going on around us was seg wave me into a very tragic situation in the state of Georgia we saw another school shooting and I'm not going I'm not to get into all of the political stuff that go on go along with it all of the conversation the the conversation that's going to come love on your people communicate with them parents Guardians talk to your young ones check in with them I'm I'm like any other parent man send our kids to school and we we pray that they safe and we hope that the parameters are in place for to protect them and you just never you never want to be in that situation and you got four families that lost their loved ones to this to this thing that we can't seem to get figured out in this country senseless thing that we can't get figured out in this country um it's unfortunate man my message is this don't miss those opportunities to to hug on them love on them tell them you love them tell them give them give them give them game listen to them listen to the people around you and that's not just specific to your kids that's friends that's close quarters that's Community that's family like pay attention if you need to be a ear be a ear if you need to be a word be a word but more importantly man just check on your people love on your people tell them they valuable tell them they worth it I think it'll go a long way if we get back to some of that humanistic side instead of the devices and letting those disseminate information for us I think it'll be more impactful it'll be more prevalent if we talk to each other this been a swag
