what's going on everyone Chris from piic dogs.com here with the free pick in the Cincinnati versus pit week two college football matchup going down Saturday September 7th 2024 just a reminder if you haven't already make sure you're subscribed to our Channel and smash that thumbs up and if you're looking for my Best Bets the games that I love including my daily $19 best bet head on over to pick dogs.com and click the premium picks tab at the top of the page but let's get to this one between Cincinnati and pit and an interesting matchup here you got pit who came out and absolutely demolished Kent State in their opener I'm not going to lie to you I had the under in that game on our college football breakdown and I just thought to myself you know what I'm not ready to jump on pit just yet Kent's going to be one of the worst teams in the mac and you know Kent got blown out but it was 5524 so it's a high-scoring game and I'll give pit credit I did not expect pit to come out of the gates flying but Eli Holstein had 336 yards three touchdowns at a pick 30 of 40 passing you know you had Desmond Reed rush for 45 yards there was just it it was a great performance from pit in that game you know they had 570 yards a total offense you know 31 first downs in that game it was just really really a solid performance from pit Cincinnati they got by talson 3820 they were laying 34 and a half in that game though and let that game get to be a lot closer than it probably should have been and full transparency didn't love what I saw from you know Brendan sby in that game sorby obviously the Indiana transfer you know he went 22 of 31 for three for 383 yards that's all well and good but again you shredded talson and like I said your defense didn't really hold serve you know the game was just a lot closer than it should have been and I'm sitting here thinking is Cincinnati really the better team compared to pit I mean I don't know you know it's one of those things where you know it's Big 12 versus ACC and you know that's just you know the way to kind of hype it up but still think pit might actually be the better team here I liked what I saw from Holstein don't get me wrong this isn't a game I feel like I'm rushing to the window to bet but I feel with this line being as tight as it is I kind of want to be on the side of pit in this one I just I think that pit can go on the road and compete here and get the job done they they had the better offensive performance against an FBS school which is not something that Cincinnati can say in the opener and I just like I said I think this is a back and forth matchup and when it's going to be as tight as this is to get you know even a couple of points in this matchup could be worth a look here I might even sprinkle on pit money line I think Pit's I just think Pit's the play here so give me pit on the money line plus two and a half whatever you want to do but that's going to be my free pick but just a reminder if you haven't already make sure you're subscribe to our Channel and smash that thumbs up and if you're looking for my Best Bets you can find those at pick dogs premium while you're pick dogs check out our betting tools they're 100% free the best betting tools in the business and tools that you want to make sure that you have in your back pocket when you're making your Best Bets for the day's action thanks for watching see you guys soon
