he can on Thursday night no pressure because I know it's a weird night we're gonna see but I'm looking forward to it yeah it's gonna be a lot of fun my daughter has flag football practice on Thursday nights so it might be a little tough for me to make it unless we push it out but we we'll we'll figure some things out obviously today was her first day of school uh full days at kindergarten so that was tough did not think I was going to take it as hard as I did but um we made it through the day made it through hey that's all you can do at this point right you just got to take care of it oh welcome to kinder g a whole lot going on um we are going to get to your questions this is your Q&A um just want to start that the topic tonight uh about something that I've been thinking about more and more and more and I feel like tomorrow I'm I'm gonna give you the 53 is the way that I think it should go I think the Chiefs are going to take more risk this year than they usually do they're usually pretty conservative and lean on experience and time in town basically to try to break TI Breakers anyway and it feels to me just like the whole thing they got to get a little bit more creative this year I think we're going to get a couple of fly balls from Left Field is my thought so that's kind of where I'm sitting I don't know if you have a thought or if ay will let you speak you know I was I can do two things at once funny enough I can listen a little bit and then still tell her and listen to her which is a very interesting talent that I figur out that I've learned but yes risk is inherent I think as you get comfortable right you get comfortable with a roster you have to start taking a little bit more risk and I think last year was evident of that that leaned on all their really safe guys their offense was crap it was it was crap for most of the season and when you do that you don't give anyone any actual opportunity to make you better you're going with the safe option you know you're settling for what you're comfortable with and that's not okay for the most part we're going to see different things this year their offense you mvs is out of town Justin Watson is still here but he's not going to be on the field as much when Hollywood Brown is healthy and ready to go so there's a there's gonna be a lot of difference here there's going to be a lot of different things that I think that they need to do with their defense they're probably going to try some things with safety and Corner that we're GNA talk about a little bit so I agree with you I think this would be a great season after you're coming off of back-to-back Super Bowls to add some inherent risk to something that you Pro possibly couldn't be worse at last year than than this year yeah I I am totally with you there and and I think taking that risk is what's important and and there's going to be a ton of factors I'm going to talk about some of it tomorrow we'll get into some of it tonight as well and Hollywood is like the number one I think Justin Ross is right on the precipice if if either Hollywood goes to IR or they choose to keep seven I think he's in I'm just not sure if he's in if there's only six in Hollywood's one of them that's where it comes down to and I think the fight is real and I didn't expect to say that that he Rio Hardman uh and more we're all still fighting for it come game three when we know they're not going to play the starter so we're not going to see worthy we're not going to see rice there's going to be a lot of opportunity and if they continue to do things that helps Ross's uh Ross display his actual game I think that's more and more where we might see again them take a little bit more risk and I love that concept in a year where it should be balls to the wall everything in there is only one goal whatever you got to do you go get that third ring I'm I'm 100% down for that and I'm looking forward to it yeah I think that makes a lot of sense and it's gonna be a lot of fun like you said so hopefully we just see bombs away like you see a single high safety hey Ross take it up the field we're gonna throw it to you you figure it out you come down to it like just just figure it out get something out of these guys and I don't think Ian book can do that but I do know that Chris hoken can kind of do that so I think we'll be okay as long as he's playing with him in the first half of the game a Ian the Pizza King of St Joe I'm telling you what um good for him I I liked him in college he's a good dude sometimes you you just you just hit a ceiling and that's okay uh he's GNA be all right and he might even get a shot elsewhere I have a theory about that I think there's a question about it as well and questions are what it's about tonight the whole off field baggage situation and yes I understand that the Chiefs are more than okay to deal with things in house and let the process play out but for the most part they're not just going to take someone that got cut for all the things that he's been released for and bring him into this situation and say yeah we'll give you the 20th chance yeah that's that's what we'll do yeah yeah second chance maybe 13th 20th no thanks I'm I'm out see you H Micah also was was talking about um should what should offenses should be the offenses um game plan for week three against a falcon secondary now that has Simmons and Bates two premier talents but two guys are a little bit older for me it's more that they brought in Simmons who knows this team and has gotten the advantage on Mahomes a couple of times I believe he has three Mahomes picks in his career um give Mahomes problems and with a former uh CB Mike Hughes at starting uh cornerback that's an advantage for the Chiefs that Mike Hughes is starting for the Atlanta Falcons so don't worry about that one the Simmons thing I can understand a little bit of concern but it's going to be what I'm always talking about and what I hope to see now that we have a a long-haired blonde dude in the backfield run the damn ball on him go hurt him don't let Justin Simmons take the ball away from you that's what I do yes but they also have no pass rush they can't rush the passer the Atlanta Falcons are deprived of pass rush they're not a good front four they're just not they had to bring in guys like they they've been throwing bodies and hopefully hoping somebody would be able to rush the passer they haven't been able to do so in week three they're gonna still be able to throw the ball wherever they want to in the middle of the field but you want to know what hey Justin Simmons go run some just go run downfield take Xavier worthy and just run him on go route after go route after go route and say hey hey hey you see that big open space in the middle of the field just stop there Travis Kelce you over there on the right hand you guys stop there we're just going to go middle of the field intermediate intermediate intermediate and just knife him to death with the Run game that's what the play should be you run the ball play action them to death with deep speed over the middle of the field and then boom it's all open that's what it should do yeah um 17 yard dig that's that's what we're looking for folks it's going to be please it's going to be a nightmare thank you though Mike I appreciate you and he's got another one uh who are the game day actives at wide receiver while Brown is out will all of them get playing time that is a great question and this is the one of the rules that just drives me nuts I wish that they didn't have to designate if you have a 53 man roster just let the 53 play for God's sake it's just dumb but I think at least initially in the season I think they're GNA bring all their weapons I think if Hollywood misses uh and Andy was koi about it I think Hollywood's going to miss at least two games that's just my my personal opinion so I think bring all the rest of the receivers what do you think yeah I think that you have to kind of give yourselves the most options especially if you're going to keep we don't know what's going to happen right now it we know that Brown's going to at least Miss week one I I I know that they're gonna play koi with it like Ryan said but we know at least week one is out of the question because it's just not physically possible and also the Chiefs have always been very cautious about this kind of stuff Travis didn't play week one last last year when he probably could have went out there and done it even though he probably shouldn't have played week too he went and did that so there there's some things that I think that they're going to do to try to hold him back to make sure he's as healthy as possible and to three weeks might not be out of the question so you bring what you have to the table like you probably have to keep seven in that scenario if he's not going on IR just to give yourselves the options to be able to do so I think Avery agrees and I certainly do so so leave yourself the room to adapt is what we think Mr Sean sides thank you for the support and the Super Chat and you tie in perfectly here um with Hollywood not on ir and they they won't put him on IR until cut down day because if they put him down early hey Miss Avery um if they put him on IR beforehand he's done for the season night night night night all right she she says it's time to put Hollywood to sleep for a little bit too so that's um give him a rest but no they can move him to are on Cut Down day but not before if they want to have them for any time in the season so it is a you know a specific like I I believe it's a 24-hour window so they will do that but um will the Chiefs keep seven or go six and just play with five more 12 and 13 sets until he returns three p incoming I like the way you think Sean um and I'm leaning One Way um this is the exact scenario that I I'm doing one conversation about what a 53 would look like on lockd on you guys will hear that here in the next couple of hours and then tomorrow I'm going to give you what my gut says what I would do that's here on rgr on my 53 but which way would you lean Dan so I'm trying to like figure out how this is going to work and I I know that Andy likes to have six Active receivers like that's what he ideally wants to have because you have six receivers you have four tight ends you have three running backs you're just like okay we can just attack with our game plan I'm leaning towards seven with Hollywood not going on IR that's how I'm gonna that's how I'm treating this on Thursday to overtake Lucas Nang for a roster spot thank you Mr Chris um for me it's it's very very simple it's two things for me he's got to be able to get his Pad level down because that's what I think starts a lot of his issues right now and he's got to get comfortable dropping at a 45 to get more depth I don't know that he's as comfortable with that that's what it appears to me like he can beat Lucas out to the edge out to the spot but I haven't seen him do it yet what do you think I think that there is nothing he can do not one thing that he can do to beat Lucas neang out and that's not to discredit Ethan Driscoll you know I think what he's done so far is showing you that there's a reason he's in Kansas City he probably should have been draft to be very honest with you there's a lot of guys in the league that aren't as athletic and move as well as he does especially getting out in space as we saw him do on you know on Saturday so I just don't believe there's anything he can do I watched Lucas Nang play um I'm actually gonna break down a good portion of his snaps on Wednesday going into this uh last preseason game to talk about him and how that he's gonna be able to shake out but from what I gathered there's still some uncomfortable some uncomfortableness in Lucas a lot of it is just not playing doesn't have experience and that's injuries and naturally the chief said well we have to bring in a right tackle that can play so you're just not going to be able to get that experience that we thought you might be able to so if Ethan Drisco comes out on Thursday and just doesn't miss a Beat Just is perfect he looks like Eric fiser that's how he beats out Lucas Nang for a roster spot he has to be like Peak almost Peak Eric Fischer to beat him out tough tough to do for a man that size but I I did not have a draftable grade on him but you're right he probably should have been I probably underestimated his competition a little bit too much yeah just on athletic ability alone I think with this the way the offensive linemen are being treated in today's NFL yeah you're absolutely right uh Steve what has uh DB Wallace earned a roster spot uh and what are his strengths and weaknesses his game and how does he fit in with the Chiefs uh I believe that he has um I Know Dan was on him even before I was I liked him at UFC but I thought there was a little bit of a hitch in there um but I I think he should be there specifically for this the versatility to play free and to come down and play nickel and this is what I'm concerned about as you said uh postgame Dan if chamar cannot fulfill the nickel duties you have to put McDuffy in there right now and until you grow find or sign another option to play the nickel for you Trent has to go inside and I feel like the advantage that this team developed last year was allowing lerias to take one outside Corner Spot and just take a receiver away and that's what I want to see them do with with Trent uh and so I'm here for that to help that situation what do you got yeah I think granted you can never take these things 100% because the rosters that come out are not given by the Chiefs they are not but if you look at the roster composition Jamari Connor is listed as a quarterback not listed as a safy like he was last year so if we talk about Trent McDuffy Joshua Williams Jaylen Watson chamari Connor and Nazi Johnson as The Five cornerbacks that make the roster typically the Chiefs keep 10 defensive backs that leaves Justin Reed Brian Cook Jaden Hicks Dion Bush most likely and my and our guy Chris Chris Roland Wallace who is exactly what the Chiefs want from a nickel he's physical he has quick twitch he has recovery ability and the most important thing the most important thing for these nickel Corners is the deceleration to be able to desel with a quick wide receiver and stay in that pass breakup that he had which I will be highlighting at some point somewhere in this game is is the perfect example of that he he's going across the field he's under the receiver and then he tries to break into that space and he's right in his hit pocket doesn't move that's the kind of thing that they value in the physical nature and he plays he just plays the game the way it's supposed to be played he's a tough-nosed hard nose guy who will just effort the absolute crap out of things sometimes and they love that that's why I think he's gonna make it yeah yeah and I and he's not um a lot of nickels go in there and they become bereft of physicality he's not he's not a guy who predicates his game on it but he's got it too and and I think that that's gonna that's gonna make Meritt and spag smile and in the end that's a lot of a scenario you know you got to have a trust and you got you gotta have some some hoah I'm going yish tonight um Caroline nice to see you is there an ideal last pron in an ideal last preseason game um would you what what would you want to see and do we possibly uh put W on the pup list initially to make for say uh space for another player maybe a DB um in an ideal game no one gets hurt everybody completes their assignment and actually tackles and uh catches the ball I think those are my three criteria what do you got I only have one it's don't get injured like that's it I don't care what happens in this game um the ideal preseason every ideal game is nobody gets hurt obviously um outcomes are what they are you can control what you can control and you can't ever control injuries so ideally yeah it' be that so it's it's tough I don't think here's my thing if you put W on the pup list you absolutely have to give some you have to bring in a a a tackle you have to you have nobody else there's nobody else sorry Lucas nang's been fine yeah no no he can't back up left he can't do it and and Andy can say it all he wants but you're starting right tackle miss the game I know it's precautionary or whatever he wants to call it but it's not nothing you know what I mean he could restraining like you have to have somebody ready to go and and I do think for a lineman a bone BR of that type is different than it was for Travis Kelce last year and so I think it is a possibility that one could go to the pup um I think it might be for lineman it might be a one for one for a lineman Caroline is what I'm saying but you're absolutely right it could be for a DB as well because there's just such a log Jam I'm hoping there's a trade here in the next 36 hours that gives them a little bit of relief there so some of these decisions aren't so ravenous you know what I mean agreed thank you Miss Caroline um Jeremy what uh which practice squad candidate is most likely to be picked up by another team on waivers um I said one earlier today and I still believe it um I I have that as EO boy though yeah um he's been playing very good football I know it's been against third and fourth string guys but last year he played good football I think that some team is going to give him an opportunity because the Chiefs are stacked on their guys they think that will be in the leagues and playing so I think he's that makes a lot of sense but I mean we're looking at I don't know man you're obviously not gonna have a running back that gets picked up um t Ally the especially at wide receiver teams don't always pick them up we saw one get uh one get claimed last year um Miss Emir Smith marett was claimed by the Panthers but like if Justin Ross were to be not to make this not not to make this roster I think he's the guy that I would say gets picked up like almost 100% certain at this point that he would considering the flashes that he's shown but you also might get Ethan Driscoll picked up because again if he plays well in this preseason game the athleticism and having those flashes tackle is a very very tough thing to have more than you need right you always need tackles you need tackles and tackles and tackles and big guys that move like he does are very very very hard to find so it would not Shock me unless he plays absolutely dreadfully that he would might might not get picked up I mean maybe we can ask him to go out there and just play like crap that'd be great yeah I'd be happy with that I mean Chris and Ian just go down quick just don't run a screen to his side just yep have all kinds of problems buddy do it on purpose because when you look at him especially that play with with Prince where he was out front blocking right I won't he was as athletic as Eric Fischer but he looked damn good on the hoof right he's the same size and length as Orlando round that's how drastic the difference is he's actually taller than Orlando but arm lengths there that's those guys don't grow on trees so stash and stash make him look like crap that's what I'm saying that will get the job oh man uh swag boy nice to see you Andy on uh short yards is going to be annoying again why can't he just run touch with Wentz or 60 line and just run straight I agree and and I do think the thing that steel brings is not the lead back fullback thing it's that he is a short yardage guy he is a power back through the line and I think that could change some things um I prefer the six0 lineman thing um but I mean you could play around and do the tou push with uh with Wentz right would you do that I would um but again the problem is you have to be coached for it and I think that there are only a few handful of teams that can do it and I don't think the Chiefs are one of them I just I just don't think that their offensive line is constructed that way and they even though they have a very strong interior it's it's more about like the center and getting just that that yard like it's I don't think that he's not strong enough to do it but uh I'm not making my point very well so I'm just going to stop um I think at the end of the day Carson Wentz coming onto the field on Fourth and short would be a very obvious thing to game plan 4 and the reason that the Eagles were so good at it because everybody knew what was coming and it didn't matter it did not matter so it would be tough for them to implement it now when they don't practice it ever I'm telling you probably ever and just not something that I would like to see them do and and and for those of you who have not uh have not joined the memberships yet uh I'm also going to have a a Quick Clip about this uh this week so get into the the rookies or above because that's when you get the extra content and shout out to minitar I'm going to put you on screen here in a minute buddy I don't buy that that was an ad lived behind the back pass because you know what it just did at least five coaches in the Ravens scouting Department have to run that down over and over and over and spend hours on it now because they did it and I think this is all by Design and it's specifically in that short yardage that I think that's going to pay off it's it's funny because typically I watched that play over and over again typically if something happens at libing you have like a moment's hesitation Patrick was carrying the football like he was going behind the back the whole way he was not throwing that football close it was like right here and he was just like waiting and waiting and then he just looked back it was not oh where's Travis going it wasn't any of that right right no oh the conspiracy theories are on folks um swag boy uh love the show thanks buddy sorry I I always fall a little bit behind especially at the start of the show pal um Red Zone needs to get better what should they do to improve it and again I think go power bring the six linemen in you don't necessarily have to run a fullback you can if you want but I mean get some push make it your business to get off the line I specifically love the B Gap if you're going short yardage because you can use the angles of the guard's butt and the tackle length and get yourself a little bit of room even if there's a guy in that Gap you can crush him down and bounce it out I think there's there's room to maneuver there so I'd like to see them just go old school you know me it's two it's two things it's two things first thing is here you have to want to physically dominate your opponent on short yardage and that's not something the chief's offensive line has demonstrated I don't know why their interior three are Elite some of the best but for whatever reason it doesn't matter in short yardage I don't know I don't know what it is and two give me more pistol give me more pistol you can do so much more again you're attacking the B Gap fine boom it's right there you can do a lot of different things you can still have access to the quarterback taking the football and running with it you have a lot more versatility to your short yardage gain and also you're you're getting half play action pass like half under Center half not so you still have that threat to pull it and pop throw it like it's it's just easier to get to your power Run game that way in my opinion on short yardage and everybody knows Pat will pull it and throw a jump pass like because he couldn't care less and they've seen him do it on film plays into Tendencies so Stephen thank you buddy all board the Xavier worthy hype train chew mother fing chew uh yeah um I I wish I had a sound effect tonight for that Cho that be nice yeah it would be I'll work on that Azie nice to see you pal feels like we we've had no updates on Na's health I agree with you completely uh do you think he starts the season on IR does uh love it make the 53 in that case uh with Chris being banged up according to Andy today both naughty and Chris are going to be good to go week one I have nothing to tell you that's different because we haven't had an update but I will say this um my guy love it has not progressed as fast as I thought that he would he still has all the the tools his Pad level's still too high he's not coming off ball with enough urgency I think he's thinking too much um so I don't think he would make the 53 in that in that case I think it would be forel although I'm not impressed with forel's game either so it's six And1 at this point I think honestly the guy that outplayed them both I know shoot me I think it's Matt Dickerson what do you think unfortunately um when you don't address the situation you are forced to look at what you have and Matt Dickerson Not only was pretty decent against the Run flashed multiple times against you know the past like he had a couple of really nice swim moves quick moves quick hands things you don't see from Fabian love it who again his issues coming out we get off in pad level hey they're still get off in pad level so that's gotta work gota get work there um and Neil Ferell is just kind of there he's just I'm big you got you know those guys they don't last if you can't do anything you don't last on rosters and Neil can do absolutely nothing except sit in a hole and say hey you can't move me maybe so I think that at the end of the day it's gonna be Matt Dickerson and if you get Derek nauy not playing that game I would personally Eve still take love it over for real just because there's upside there I guess that's fair I will say this though don't cut out the old man's on the roster for the reason he's been hyped Mike penel is going to play against the Ravens for his run defense like that is been so good I told he rejuvenated that Super Bowl win absolutely rejuvenated that guy he looks like he's five years younger yeah knocked it right off of his total oh minitar playing in the fourth quarter guys that's not yeah he'll be playing in the fourth quarter again to on Thursday he's it's over talent only goes so far you have to eventually learn how to use it correctly and that just doesn't seem to be his goal so uh I I'm with you um I think that would be a little bit more shocking but I do think that lrz makes it to the practice squad um and and I do think could even be a guy that gets elevated during the season I don't I don't mean that because it's his first season like that you you just stab him I think he's made progress and I think he just needs to do that by by the biwe or by week 10 maybe he's like a guy hey we got to put him on the roster because he's got that that last gear um that that we're all looking for so thank you minitar as question and I'm going to say in my head three and I'm going to go double check it right now because if you assume that Keith Taylor the rookie Kamal Haden and Eko boo all are on the outside looking inning do not make the 53 I think they all could play for someone else I know there was interest in Haden for a low round investment or a claim in this point um I know Keith Taylor showed out more this preseason than he has any other preseason in my estimation and echoboy will play special team snaps for you all day long and you're happy with that so I would I would say three just the quarterbacks yeah I don't think Nick Jones can make it on someone's roster right now he's just not developed he hasn't he hasn't done anything to should to be to earn that so I would probably error on two I don't I don't necessarily think Kamal Haden can make it on someone's roster he has not shown enough in the games that he's played to to make a roster and yes there's Talent there but it's very raw and he was experimented at at slot I know there's a question coming up about that um in in our que here but there's not enough so I I would say two I think Keith Taylor's done enough to to be on someone's roster on the back end and echoo absolutely with his physicality and special teams prowess yeah great question info uh let's hope that they can find ways to keep him uh Josh thank you buddy uh plus or minus 10 plus sacks from three different players this season okay Chris George depending on when a menu returns I'm not banking on Dana or uh FAU getting to 10 are you no I am going under Rashi rice um you can argue that all you want to but the simple fact of the matter is the Chiefs took him and turned him into a Zone Zone beater and they refused to use him on the outside and that continues this year so that leaves me a little worried about how they feel about his total game so if we can if he does get better where are is he a t is he a t Higgins maybe maybe not is he what is he this this roster this team is not going to be built by Tyreek Hills Jamar chases and T higgins's they're not I don't think they're going to be in a situation where they have to choose one or the other because I think they'll be able to pay both of them a decent amount of money because they're not going to be those guys putting up, 1500 plus yards a year it's not going to happen yeah so I'm trying to figure that out unless Rashid rice becomes Travis Kelce that's the only Cav caveat that I will I will put out there if in the next two years Travis Kelce he hangs it up because you know it's his his contract is over two years from now and Rashid rice is that guy fine okay they they'll pay him but Xavier will still won't I don't know if he's going to get to the Tyreek Hill is level those kind of players we have to wait and find out yeah agreed agreed I and I hope that he gets there but it's it's a good problem to half let's hope yeah Patrick nice to see you would it make sense for the Chiefs to go snag uh xaven Howard or uh yanuk and GAA there's too many DBS already is xaven Howard right now better than the guy that's gonna be fifth or sixth Kelvin Joseph or crw probably but he's on the downhill slide they're on the uphill slide I I I don't know that can replace those two and Yann can't stand on a roster to save his ass I don't know what's going on with that but it doesn't feel like he's a he's a guy who's going to fit into a championship roster no I'm with you you you really shouldn't be bringing these guys in when you're kind of pent up with young talent doesn't make were a few times these past two weeks where I thought guys weren't where they were supposed to be and uh were just looking lost I mean that's fair but to be honest I think it's about playing time together Trent isn't playing much and he's your leader out there Justin Reed is your your overall secondary leader and he's not out there so there is a little bit of communication lapping right now but I I feel like guys were playing their individual games because it's a vanilla defense right now yes you have to know where you're going but I think it'll come together are you worried I'm not so worried about it because they do such a good job of funneling everything where they want it to go and it looked to me like they were trying to play a little bit of man on the outside with it with their responsibilities being just pure man take your receiver up field so that's not something that the Chiefs do a ton of in the sense of like they did in the Super Bowl they like to funnel things and get guys in this in position to force it to the middle of the field if they can so I I think that I'm personally going to be okay with it and we have to remember that after the bye is when spags and the defense start to handle their business they do a lot of different things to figure some some stuff out the preseason is another opportunity to do that yeah I I'm with you um thank you Jonathan thank you Matt appreciate the support um what about Ross's inability to learn the play book he's in year three and I still heard Wentz yelling at him and to get on the right side of the field and and that's the rub there's pluses and there's minuses um he has improved his route running from what I've seen on the field in these games um he's always been a jump ball catcher he continues to do that but he's still struggling at the mental side of the game and that's been the rub and so as much as everybody's on his side and I do see progression that's still the thing that will leave him off the roster it's that thin the line for him getting on it for me um do you see something else attention to detail attention to detail guys like you have to be Talent we've talked about it with kadary telling you Talent gets you so far only gets you so far but the reason guys like who were hyping up and Chris Roland Wallace they come to work they come to work and they effort their ass off you go go watch some of Chris Rolland Wallace from the opposite side of the field running down a tackle to the other side of the field that is all heart and effort yeah you have to be able to speed have to have the speed to get there you have to have the want to get the angle right and to go make that tackle right now Justin Ross sometimes lines up wrong sometimes he doesn't run routes all the way through sometimes he doesn't block very well you got to be locked in like you have to be to make not just on rosters in this league to make noise to get better and you would think a guy that's on the roster bubble and been on the practice squad would be putting out more uh to be honest you think the fire would be under him thanks Matt as always appreciate you appreciate you Matt I'm sorry Gat Gary um do the Chiefs try to trade or pick Washington uh a pick for Washington commanders receiver Jan doson I don't think so I I know they said that he might be available or whatever but I don't know why I mean I don't even I can't pronounce half the names on the back side of the roster because there's just nobody there you can't afford to get rid of Johan dson if you're the commanders and I think Jan is still a guy that needs to play at least partially in the slot there's like 17 slot receivers on this this roster right now you probably seen them more than me though what do you think I mean I I love Johan Dawson and whatever Washington is doing it doesn't make any sense because nothing Washington does ever makes any sense but they're also playing dami Brown more on the outside so I can't really argue with it like I'm okay with that because I love Dam Brown coming out I love Johan doson cominging out so like they're in a good position those are their starting three wide receivers Terry mclen Johan doson and Dam Brown another three guys that's who it's gonna be so I don't believe the Chiefs would be able to trade for him as much as I'd like him on the roster there's just I don't think there's a way Washington would actually do it unless you're overpaying and why am I overpaying when there's a ton of other players on this roster Ryan can't hear anything anymore so um I hope that answers your question Gary uh appreciate you is he back maybe oh he's going to old school maybe my ears went I saw I noticed all right Pono as teams do cutdowns what position do you see Brett and the coaches keeping an eye on as far as signings linebackers and edges I I think those are pretty we have to I think really remember that Charles amenu will be playing football at some point from this roster so as much as you probably want to bring somebody in you're gonna have to cut somebody and then you're going to have to let that that person go when Charles am menue is active activated like that's you have to be able to consider both situations so I don't think they're going to be adding a defensive end at all um I think that they are pretty happy with their linebacker position I think Curtis Jacobs has been getting better and getting better this past week he was very good I know he made one Splash play but he was decisive it looked like he was starting to see things a bit more clearly as a rookie which is great I think I don't know cam Jones looked a little a little hesitant to me quite a few times which I was a little thrown off by again seeing him against the Chargers he wasn't hesitant at all and I'm just trying to figure that out for him but I think that they they like their linebacker position I think it would be running back if anything to try and find maybe a fourth if they want to keep a fourth and everywhere else if you can find again offensive line like if you can get maybe another interior swing guy that gets cut or traded for um that's what I would be looking for oh sorry guys what about you I I'd still be looking at DT um that too if somebody can give you some pass rush specific snaps so that Na and panel aren't having to get into that Circle or I I like Turk I'm just a little worried about his uh his build to stay healthy but I I I need a rotation there those guys got to stay healthy rested so I'd like to see a little bit more pass rush there back but that's fine it doesn't matter either way he can do both um and right now the sixth receiver that I have on the roster is micole Hardman I have the seventh as Justin Ross and that's why if Hollywood goes to IR he would make it in my scenario right now yeah I I don't I don't think mco's making it guys I don't think he has enough to make it I still think that this team want granted by the way that they are playing Sky Moore is on this roster he's on the roster like he's he's the he's the fourth receiver right now in the way that they are using him so I understand you don't like it but like he's the guy that comes on the field right when they take off either Justin Watson or Rashid rice he's the one that came out first so I think it's a battle for micole Harman to make this roster if you still have Hollywood brown on it now if you don't with the injury and the the IR situation which I think there's a question about him here in a second it gets it gets a little messy so um I I just it's tough I think Ross is gonna be on it I'm just trying to figure out how they want to divy up the speed stuff because yeah Justin Monson can give you some of that Hardman brings more but he's not trustworthy and he's injury PR at this point yeah so um sorry I I I I don't I just don't think micole is gonna make it this year um as much as like you said inviting a little bit more risk into the roster this year and not having micole Harman on it might end up paying some dividends off appreciate you Bradley I just want to get this question in because I accidentally unstart it that's my that gives you a couple extra days you know what I mean and if I know Brett Vach just knowing the fact that I'd like to get it done means that they won't and so we might have to wait the 23rd and the 24th and the 25th and I believe 27th is the Tuesday right um yeah I think so I believe that's the day so my guess is it's going to Trickle and we won't know the final 53 probably until Monday Clyde goes on IR because whatever is going on with him mentally is not uh clicking and they need him to go get healthy fine he makes the roster in a situation where everyone's healthy their one two and three are healthy generic Prince doesn't make it I also think they might need to be bringing someone else in no matter what like they might be trying to do that now like that's something they're going to be that's what we talked about with the uh the cutdowns that is a position they will be monitoring very heavily yeah and they are they are fingers crossed and they're a little clinched I'm that they're as good as they think they are I'm interested to see how the new defensive design is going to be because that's exactly what they did in the postseason is they kept everything in front of them and Patrick said fine we'll just kind of take what we get and then just try to get as many points as we can early so with m Donald not there I'm interested to see how this works because you could get big plays um previous previous little good good old wink Martell is always good for a good a big big player too a game especially with Patrick Mahomes at quarterback so trying to figure that out is going to be I think the game plan because it's a new defensive system it's G to be a new role player so you still have really good players in the back end you have some new players and I think that you might end up seeing a good amount of Nate Wiggins on him especially the outside if he's healthy and Nate Wiggins looks exactly as he did at Clemson as advertised and he's got legitimate speed too so just I think you can get him in the slot especially if you're gonna have Marlon Humphrey in there because Marlon Humphrey can't keep up with Xavier worthy budy oh boy he can't do it um you might be able to get him on a couple of those plays and there you see a big play happen pretty quickly yeah I mean and and wigin was he was the fastest defensive player at the combat he wasn't as fast as but he's he's damn fast so the question becomes is do they play him on a side or did they try to match him up and let him follow because I like Xavier on Marlin Marlin's a great player but like you said you know he's 68 years old and uh Brandon Stevens is their other guy right I don't even know who's running with the ones right now out there but I Stevens I believe I believe you're right so I mean with Marcus over the top Marcus Williams is their free safety and still excellent player if you you have to shake him loose from Wiggins is what I'm saying so you can not have him play Trail and have uh Marx over the top that that's but then again if they do that that's by Design Travis is more open because of this because they just took two guys to take away Xavier and that's the whole damn point so hey just like I said 17 yard dig off of his go and you're gonna be golden it's gonna work so yeah I do think that there's an opportunity though um Dan is more faithful than them in them than I am and that's perfectly good um Arthur nice to see you I have but two questions I want to do that on English accent for some reason um did we choose the right punter and will FAU amount to anything in this defense this year yeah no worries man um as far as the punter goes I mean we've talked about risk tonight right um and that they're willing to give Second Chances uh ARA certainly had a debacle in his personal life um in the end wasn't wasn't proven to have done anything wrong or anything like that but it's a reputation thing giving him a second chance I don't have any problem with that and the man's got a leg that doesn't cul what wants like so in terms of that I don't think if you're just talking about him in general I I think it's a reasonable risk if you're talking about him versus the other punter that was in OTAs he was clearly the better punter so in terms of that question yes they they chose the right one um FAU is the bigger question okay I feel like he his his floor has come up his snapto snap effort is up um he seems to be playing with better leverage but his hand usage despite working with TBA doesn't seem drastically better to to me and I don't see him being uh elevating his pass rush in close anymore so I still feel for him to be effective he has to be split out a little bit wider that puts a little bit of a crease in your defense and you have to make sure that you put him in situations where he's just a a third down pass rusher designated and in that scenario I do think he can become something in this Defense AR there Dan might totally disagree with me but that's the way I see it yeah there's been clear improvements from last year to this year like his physical strength has gotten better like that's all true and I think he's still learning a lot and Ryan is 100% right about the hand usage it's not fast enough yet he's he gets to where he's trying to go it's all just slow so his wins and I I see that uh bumpa has a two % with pass rush R rate with 50 snaps I don't believe that for a second because I know that he's won far more reps than that it's just not as fast so there there's not a and don't trust past rush win rate for everything it's the same with any kind of statistic there's always context and watching him just today I watched the defense on the l22 today um he's winning and it's just a little bit late so he's able to engage he he takes a little bit of time looking for the football takes a little bit of time trying to get his hands through and and rip through and it's all it's it feels like the game is still a little bit too fast for him if he can finally figure out a way from this season to next year to get the game to maybe speed up or to him his game to speed up he will be he will be good I don't think he'll be elite but he will be good so I think he can this year like Ryan said maybe more of a designated pass rusher or just the Gap shooter just go in there have one job one responsibility make it limited for him so he can execute faster yeah I I love that concept and I think he will grow into the violence he needs in his hands to put some of the technique in his hands to work better and if once he gets there pretty basic X on the line Z off the line your y slot is going to be in the middle so you take wherever they're going to be you can have an X by themselves you can have a z by themselves or and you can just put the slot next to them tight on the the side but Andy re doesn't care these rules don't apply quote unquote to Andy Reid so you see Travis as your ex you see sometimes you see Rashi as your ex you'll probably see a good amount of Hollywood Brown as your ex in this offense because he can still do what he needs to do in the next role now you're gonna rotate in Justin Watson and when he takes the X hey just go run a corner route because that's all you're really good at and change some things up every now and then so you'll see everybody play just about every single position in terms of the X slot Z and then even y because they have reduced splits which your quote unquote your y stuff for your wide receivers when they have three on one side you get your reduced split your slot and your your X or your Z so it's all fun man it's it's all nen clature it's awesome Justin glad you made it um still love your avatar and Gary thank you thank you for not only say that but thank
