[Music] and a touchdown for the Hamilton Tiger [Applause] Cats hey all Rick here from TI cats Talk network for another episode of news that broke out today by sportset sportset has announced that the ti cats are close to a deal with Tula tag Oola I apologize if I butcher that name I'm bad at pronouncing names but in other words Tua his brother is in the anfl and you those wondering how he can get signed by a CFL team well every year CFL teams have what's called a 10 player negotiations list those can be any players uh for example NFL former NFL quarterback who came out recently said that he didn't like playing the CFL whatnot Johnny Manzel at one point he was on the Hamilton Tai cats negotiation list um you just add a player on your negotiation list and no matter if he comes over or not it is what it is but he is the younger brother of Tua who is the quarterback of the Miami Dolphins and of which so he spent so he's 20 years old very young and lots of years left ahead of him spent Five Seasons playing in okay how long so he can't be 20 he's he has to be older than 20 um SP Five Seasons playing in the NCAA starting with his freshman year in 2019 where he backed up his brother at Al abama he then transferred to the University of Maryland where he spent the next four years in 21 Tula took over as the starting position for the terapin and found record levels of success the two time alltime Big 10 second teamer averaged 3,415 passing yards for 293 completions 23 touchdowns as Maryland's full-time quarterback by the time he wrapped up his collegiate career his 11,256 total yards in the Big 10 had him at top of the conference alltime passing leaderboard the Hawaii native led the Big 10 competitions completions 290 of 437 attempts 3,337 yards and passing touchdowns of 25 in his final Collegiate season earning the uh college football player of the year award which he led the conference with 11 interceptions he did get some attention from the NFL after going undrafted in April taking in the Arizona Cardinals and the Seattle rookie mini camps as a tra player but nothing came of it the 24 old will be joining a taiat squad at finished that finished 23 uh 2023 with an 8- 10 record third in the East veteran quarterback bivi Mitchell is Hamilton starting Hamilton stating quarterback or should be starting quarterback with promising sophomore Taylor Powell as a current number two so the question is if he comes up to Canada chances are um he'll probably be number three and then after this year Bo will most likely retire and then tula and Taylor double te's will be battling it out for starter next year so it all depends on how well Tula do or dos does and I'm curious to see how well he's going to do up here because not every us quarterback does well in the CFL there's some but not always um but yeah I would like to see what your comments are on how well you think he would do up in the CFL um leave your comments down below um do you think he will he could be the next Nathan roic you never know um do you think he's going to be just an average UM quarterback in the league do you think he's going to come up here and just completely bomb the league don't know but I'm curious to see what everyone's comments are down below if you like what you see in today's video and you want to see more check out other content on the channel we also have a video coming out as to our season preview tomorrow on Friday with possible um players getting cut and whatnot on Saturday so I I kind of did like a deep dive into everything but Saturday's going to beig be the big day where we can uh go into it and create the roster from scratch um but this is Rick from tyot Talk network and have your yourself a great rest of your evening
